"Gilgamesh" is an album filled with stories of times bygone and present. An album inspired by the heroic exploits of grand characters like Icarus, Gilgamesh, and Odysseus.
The album features artwork from the classic painter Viktor Safonkin, who Killing Joke also used for album art, making for an impressive package with layouts courtesy of Marc Lopes (Metal Church, Ross The Boss).
"Gilgamesh" features a number of guest artists contributing throughout, including Burning Witches' singer Laura Guldemond, former Soen's bassist Oleksii Zlatoyar, former Orphaned Land's co-founder/guitarist Yossi Sassi, and Dmitry Kim of Morton, who plays all drums and also mixed the album. Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Amon Amarth, Stone Sour) mastered the album.

3rd solo album from Stratovarius vocalist Timo Kotipelto.
He's assembled a band for this album that includes keyboardist Janne Wirman (Children Of Bodom), bassist Lauri Porra (Stratovarius), guitarist Tuomas Wainola (Thunderstone) and drummer Mirka Rantanen (Thunderstone). Kotipelto has had a completely different band for each album.
Kotipelto has an excellent and powerful voice which is rightfully showcased here, and if you like Stratovarius you'll probably enjoy “Serenity”. It's Melodic Power Metal with crunchy guitars, layers of keyboards and soaring vocals.

The second full-length album by Russian Brutal Death Metal one-man band.
Kraworath from Saratov was not long in coming. Over a short period, this project found its niche among the Russian brutal bands and came up with such monsters like Cannibal Corpse, Deicide and Dying Fetus in terms of heaviness and speed. 
The music of Kraworath became more intense and rich; lyrics grew even more ultimatistic and presented the anthology of present day serial crimes. Kartashov’s songwriting has certainly gotten stronger; enough so that Kraworath should definitely be mentioned in the same breath as Russian brutal death stalwarts 7.H Target and Abominable Putridity.
The album brings energy of the debut, multiplied by the new performance standards. From the first note, the first riff of the album power and aggression strike listeners fair in the face, deep growling ruptures their untrained eardrums echoing in their cracked heads. Completely written and performed by Roman Kartashov, "Purification Through Pain" bring ten tracks running just shy of the thirty-five minute mark. Everything that made the debut so punishing is here: razor sharp riffing, bass heavy chord progressions and fast paced drumming. Certain elements were honed into a sharper and more damaging sound. The riffing is precise, balancing between chugging progressions and blazing fast trem riffing while the drums annihilate all in their wake.
"Purification Through Pain" is a much stronger album than the debut and, although it’s constantly firing on all cylinders, manages to sport more variety in tempo and songwriting. It’s an impressive album, given that everything is performed by one man!

Remastered re-release of the seventh full-length studio album by legendary German Industrial/Hardcore/Thrash Metal band.
The album continued the experimentation with Industrial music that band started on previous album, "Renewal", but brought back more of their Thrash Metal sound. It's also the only Kreator's album to feature Joe Cangelosi as the replacement of original drummer Jürgen "Ventor" Reil, which returned to the band in 1996, as well as the first to feature bassist Christian Giesler, and the last to feature guitarist Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik.
In "Cause For Conflict", the charismatic Petrozza steps in familiar paths and rages in a furious output that seems to embody many of Kreator's old features of attitude and abilities. This album is a great reminder of just how angry and creative, Kreator were back in the day, and still are, when they wanted to. "Cause For Conflict" is relentless, heavy and in your face the entire way through. The sound is top-notch in comparison to older albums and stands the test of time well. The songwriting is inspired, the riffs are fast and memorable, and Petrozza's lyrics are exceptionally charged. The overall effect has a very 90s feel, but not in terms of melody or catchiness, but more in the sense that Kreator weren't scared to incorporate a subtle vibe of Industrial, Nu Metal, or some Hardcore mashed groove.
Writing and releasing iconic Thrash Metal anthems and extreme sounds, have paved Kreator the way for global success and a near modern Metal god status.

Special Edition re-release of the twelfth full-length album by the legendary German Thrash Metal.
It has been described as their most organic album to date because barring vocals, guitar solos and some melodies, the album was recorded in a live setting on an analog tape recorder with few overdubs. Mille Petrozza noted that this was the first time they have recorded an album this way since “Pleasure to Kill” in 1986. The immediately striking thing about “Hordes Of Chaos” is how wildly aggressive it is compared to the last two albums. While its recent predecessors were undoubtedly punishing, this album is unrelentingly brutal.
From here on out, Kreator lay waste to everything in their path, including those that believed Kreator would never again sound as passionate as they did in their youth. The guitar work is undeniably amazing. The guitar solos are like battles and as each solo winds down, the band take off at lightning speed, hitting the ground running each time with a sinister force and precision that comes only with age.
Overall, this is easily Kreator’s best of the new millennium. For that matter it’s also better than most of what they did during the 90s, when they were experimenting themselves out of the consciousness of metal fans. "Hordes Of Chaos" is a shining example of why tradition is going to force you to pay attention in 2009. This was the first Kreator album to chart in the United States, debuting at number 165 on the Billboard 200 chart in the US, with first week sales of approximately 2800 copies.

After piercing the skin with the iconic “Coma Of Souls” (1990), starting the 90s with an iron fist, unanimously it was decided in the band that right after attain such a formidable status, it was time to break away and set course into a different world. Such a world that in the end might not be overly far from their beastly habits, yet much more dark, mysterious, even charmingly gothic, filled with ounces of pain, misery and dismay due to society’s crumble and the human condition. Not bashing up skulls as used to in the past, Kreator proved that “Renewal” has its rougher edges, some of them even sharp and can shed blood at will. Even with mid-tempo, and on a few occasions slow tempo thrusts, the horrific past, present and future of the social structure is no less mortifying.
Maybe the need for change wasn’t because the band wanted it but also because the market demanded it as it changed as well. On the other hand, Kreator were never sellouts and remained true to their strong beliefs. “Renewal” is the band’s successful debut step outside of the Thrash Metal boundary, a marker that would eventually remain throughout the band’s 90s era!

The fifth full-length studio album by cult Brazilian Death Metal band.
Brazil’s own Krisiun have been a trademark for sheer musical violence and a steady nominee for the title of the globe’s fastest Death Metal act throughout their 12 years of unmerciful existence. Reaching long player release number five, there couldn’t have been a more suitable album title than “Works Of Carnage” to describe the all-annihilating nature of these three brothers’ song-creations. Krown are the new Italian gods of slow, heavy old school classical Doom Metal. This excellent power trio created a wonderful, heavy and catchy slab of premium Doom for everybody into bands such as Black Sabbath, Trouble, Electric Wizard or even Type O Negative and Kyuss!
With lyrics based on the writings of famous fantasy authors such as Howard, Tolkien, Moorcock, & Martin, and cool cover art to boot, much of what you get here on their latest is quite simply crushing dark fantasy themed Doom.
"Hyborian Age" is a serious, crushing Doom album from this very 'un-Italian' sounding band. The whole 'dark fantasy' themes add even more intrigue to what is a very old school styled Doom album. One thing is for sure - this band is totally addictive.
If you like Doom Metal and old school Heavy Metal - you must check this amazing band out then! Wonderful music deserves to be heard!!

The debut full-length album by Norwegian Black Metal band.
This is a project of musician of bands such as: Mök, Astaroth and Attentat.
“Noema” presents us with an excellent view of Black Metal, very eerie and melodic. But the album isn’t “limited” to Black Metal, there are some Punk and Doom elements which are very welcomed when used with creativity and quality, such is the case of “Noema”. In a way, you might feel that, especially when it comes to the guitars, this is one more pure Norwegian Black Metal album that could have been released by Mayhem or Gorgoroth, but, if you pay attention to the details, this is a unique release and not an album in which the musician simply wanted to recreate the old-school classics.
The drumming work is very enjoyable, fast and chaotic, completely fitting the music created by Kvalvaag. The production is clean, many a little bit lo-fi, but no Black Metal listener would complain about it, so one more positive aspect for Kvalvaag’s “Noema”. All in all, this is highly impressive, even more for being the band’s first full-length album. Amazing stuff!

The third full-length studio album by legendary American Glam Metal band.
Released in 1991, the meticulous production gives the album a sound typical of the period - a full sound, with lots of background harmony vocals, layered guitars and additional keyboard tracks.
The album starts in a more somber note with "Over the Edge", which was used in the film Point Break, but the bulk of it consists of standard Hard Rockers, such as "Kiss My Love Goodbye" and "My Koo Ka Choo". The band aims for the ballad hit several times, in "Crystal Eyes", "It's Over Now", and the 1950s-style "I Found You", attempting to repeat the earlier success of their major single "The Ballad of Jayne".
While no track from the album topped the charts (and the band's success declined soon afterwards as their style fell out of commercial favor), "Hollywood Vampires" presents various shades of the band and is representative of the late 1980s - early 1990s Heavy Metal scene, with riff-laden songs and big choruses on every song.
Rare first pressing edition with slightly different track listing. Track 11 is "The Ballad Of Jayne" (a shorter version than the one that appeared on the "Cocked & Loaded" album) instead of the song "I Found You" which appeared on other pressings.
