The only album which doesn't feature the band's 'classic' line-up. Michaela Rose is the only classic member here. She would be joined by Jasmin Vetter and Sandra Lauer (later Cretu) for Arabesque Mk. II.
Arabesque was founded by Schlager Music singer Mary Ann Nagel and producer Wolfgang Mewes. Karen Ann Tepperis and Michaela Rose completed the trio.
The album begins with the song “Hello Mr. Monkey”, which was released as a Single in 1977 in Germany only, and in 1978 worldwide. The song became a huge hit in Japan, reaching number 9 on the charts.
"Friday Night" was among the first songs credited to Jean Frankfurter and John Moering, which would go on to write all of Arabesque's future material, and was released as a second Single in 1978. It was also the first song to feature the newest member - 19-year-old Heike Rimbeau on lead vocals, which replaced the founder Mary Ann Nagel. Michaela and Karen provide backing vocals.
In Germany the album was released in 1979.

Originally released in 1980 by Metronome in Germany and Victor Records in Japan (as "Arabesque III"), an album was a little unusual one in the sense of the music itself. All in all, Disco was four of five years old and had become a little unfashionable to the general public. So, now we can call "Marigot Bay" as "an album where Euro Disco was born" - the dance rhythms and the singer's natural charms were reinforced with things unusual for the pure American Disco style, specifically the Rock'n'Roll guitar and vocal stylings.
Deluxe Edition on 180g audiophile vinyl in metallic cover has a new mastering from analogue resources and features 8-page booklet with lyrics and rare photos.

Power, Speed and a certain amount of Symphony and Neoclassicism!
The band cite influences as varied as Bach and Malmsteen, and that is also very obvious, especially with the instrumental tracks. “Tota Pulchra”, for example, sounds like a pissed of Mozart! And “Running In The Labyrinth” is a pure Neoclassicism!!
The guitar sounds almost Thrashy at places, which is also a plus. Perhaps there are too many instrumental tracks, but taste varies, as everyone knows.
Overall, it’s a very good album, and Arachnes have managed to create something of their own drawing from their many influences!

Arch Enemy are back with their trademark sonic violence and Extreme Metal execution. "Dawn Of Ages" is the result of a collaboration between two very powerful figures in their own right of the Metal scene - founding Fates Warning guitarist Victor Arduini and Argus vocalist Paul "Butch" Balich.
The story goes back in time to the end of 2013, when Arduini put a final word to his experience with Freedoms Reign. Victor needed more freedom to express his creativity, feeling his ideas weren’t much fitting into the style of Freedoms Reign anymore. If you've heard Freedoms Reign, you'll immediately understand why it was the right decision for Victor to move on.
The music on "Dawn Of Ages" has a pronounced Doom vibe, with a clear Black Sabbath influence that can be heard on the bludgeoning opening riff of "Into Exile" and the ethereal guitar work of "The Wraith." Arduini's guitar work is superb and the tone he achieves is downright menacing, though he doesn't limit the atmosphere to pure Doom, as the change to a major key at the end of "Beyond the Barricade" can attest. As for Balich, he gets to cover familiar ground, as "Dawn Of Ages" is not unlike Argus in style. He delivers an outstanding performance, as though working with different musicians has energized him. He's able to wring more emotion from his vocals, bringing the appropriate weight to the somber lyrics.
"Dawn Of Ages" is long, clocking in at just over an hour. Long albums generally annoy a listener, but "Dawn Of Ages" has such complex and at the same time engaging songwriting you'll never get bored, but maybe still the whole package is a load. An awesome load!
Fans of Black Sabbath, While Heaven Wept, Atlantean Kodex and all True/Doom Metal must check this one out!!
