The second full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock/Soft Metal guitarist and singer.
Ford's second solo release after leaving The Runaways in 1979, "Dancin' On The Edge" features the debut of her new backing band, featuring drummer Randy Castillo, who would soon join Ozzy Osbourne's band, and bassist Hugh McDonald, who later joined Bon Jovi (McDonald had previously played with Jon Bon Jovi in the All Star Revue, the group that recorded the hit "Runaway"). It was her final release with Mercury Records, as she departed to sign with RCA Records in 1987.
"Dancin' On The Edge" surpassed the success of Ford's debut album, "Out For Blood", in both sales and airplay. It reaching No. 66 of the US Billboard 200 chart. Music videos for the Singles "Gotta Let Go" and "Dressed to Kill" received heavy rotation on MTV during the summer of 1984. "Gotta Let Go" was a minor hit in England, reaching #94 on the UK Singles Chart. The music video for "Dressed to Kill" featured a cameo from Ford's then-fiancée, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. The album was also nominated for a Grammy Award in category of Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. Ford toured relentlessly in support of the album for most of 1984, culminating in a pre-Headbangers Ball concert special recorded for MTV.

September 7, 2012 marks the release of Leave’s Eyes's front woman, Liv Kristine (ex- Theatre Of Tragedy), solo album “Libertine” through Napalm Records. For those of you unfamiliar with Kristine’s solo work, she has a back catalog of full lengths and singles dating back to 1998. Throughout the years, she has also fronted Theatre Of Tragedy, and most recently, Leave’s Eyes. Looking over her biography, Kristine has accomplished quite a lot in the music and television industry.
Kristine’s voice is lovely; having an almost mournful, yet angelic quality to it, and it is showcased quite well on “Libertine”. The sound production is excellent, the tracks are layered just right, and the album wraps itself up nice and tight. The songs are about longing for someone, being in love, falling out of love, finding someone new, and of course walking away a better person.
If you are a Liv Kristine fan, you will enjoy this album. But it you not... you'll love it too!!

The debut full-length album by the Italian Melodic Hard Rock band.
Originally formed as a cover-band back in 1995, it didn’t take long for this foursome to realize their true calling in creating their own original music. Now Lizhard are poised to take their place in the European hard-rock scene.
Now the music and songs have their own unique quality. What really great about this band is their ability to blend their Classic Rock sound with some cool, Bluesy grooves and guitar riffs but it’s lead vocalist Luke Marsilio who really steals the spot light here… almost sounding like a cross between Joey Tempest with a little Don Dokken thrown in for good measure. Nowhere is this more apparent than on Hard Rockers like “Let The Good Times Roll,” “My Wild Side” and “Devil’s Highway.”
While the album contains it’s fair share of edgy, Hard Rock tunes, we can find here more drawn to the acoustic driven tracks like the ballady “Diamond”, “Angel” (another stand-out ballad with a nice, soothing arrangement complimented by a powerful chorus and some harmonica accents) and “I Cry For You” which will find you having flashbacks of all those great, late-80’s power ballads ala bands like Europe, Firehouse or Poison.
Perris Records have themselves another winner in the new s/t Lizhard release. Fans of that edgy, Hard Rock sound will appreciate the raw, in-your-face rockers while even those fans of AOR/Melodic Rock can find themselves some real gems when the band takes a walk over to their lighter side!
A good album all around which has a little bit of everything to satisfy the most finicky of appetites!!

The loud sounds cannot move, cold rythmes play a dance, keyboard scores scratch from the within. For recording this album was used vintage instruments, so bass guitar got a distinctive piggy tone and guitars become long and mellow.
The funny fact about this album: if exclude the pauses between tracks, its duration is 66 minutes and 66 seconds.
This music will please fans of Saturnus, Estatic Fear, Desire and Autumn Rain Melancholy.

The debut full-length studio album by French Progressive Metal/Metalcore band.
A fabulous interstellar trip through music mixing Metalcore, Djent and Prog Metal.
Almost everything is gathered here: technique, attack, dynamism and especially Groove. Ultra-powerful riffs, Progressive Metal flights - Lone Survivors offers ten particularly well-produced tracks whose complex structure is rich in various climates. Alternating guttural and clear vocals, the combo handles with ease the very percussive and dark atmospheres, with more Atmospheric passages and very worked guitar flights.
This Metallic interstellar journey proposed by Lone Survivors, if it remains very in-your-face, is very accessible. And the dexterity of the five musicians is for a lot. "Enigmatic Side Effects", "Lost In My Mind" or "Lucid Dream" offer very different faces, highlighted by the great technicality of the protagonists.
Featuring exceptionally talented musicians from a plethora of different musical backgrounds, the band was solidified by the addition of Matthieu Romarin (of Uneven Structure) on vocals. Lone Survivors took almost two years to find the singer who could carry their music, and the band couldn't dream of a better performer than the frontman of Uneven Structure to sublimate their compositions. At ease as a catfish in the dark water of Modern Metal, he illuminates the album with his charisma, his power, his sensitivity and his alternations of clear and saturated vocals mastered to perfection. 
The production is phenomenal, then it's Hyper-Technical but with a hell of a Groove and an inordinate power. The riffs are bloody and monstrous. The rhythmic sends bread in the face with clear voices and growls. As for the first album, the band presents a very accomplished and neat work.
Mixing Technicality with melody and Progression, "Ground Zero" album is an absolute thrill to listen to. It's highly recommended for fans of Meshuggah, Periphery, Tessaract, After The Burial and many more!

The debut full-length studio album by Brazilian Melodic Progressive Doom/Death Metal band.
What can a bunch of Brazilians that really like Death/Doom Metal in Opeth way? A lot!
It's impossible to examine the Loneshore sound without talking about Opeth, circa "Blackwater Park". Many melodies on the album reminds of the more accessible moments, like "The Drapery Falls" and "Bleak". This is not a carbon copy, though. The songwriting style is more Death/Doom Metal, being long, but without as many Progressive twists. Loneshore also plays quite rhythmical and aggressive at times, reminding of U.S. Death/Doom act Daylight Dies.
Vocally, it's a mix between competent growls and Opeth-inspired clean vocals. It's not extraordinary for the style, but the band certainly knows how to write songs. The highlight is probably the many emotional clean guitar sections. There is a lot of feeling in the playing, and the parts that have vocals over them match perfectly. These parts sound so beautiful that we can totally be willing to ignore how much they sound like Mikael Åkerfeldt.
Loneshore's Extreme Metal parts are also good, and the fact that they're willing to play fast at times adds some needed variation to their sound. Maybe the band's atmospheric side is stronger than the Metal side, but the band's appeal doesn't lie in one of them; it's the fact that they really know how to write good songs. The songs on the album have great flow and emotion, and they're fairly even in quality.
"From Presence To Silence" also has a solid mix; one of many things that doesn't make this album sound like the debut it is. You'll be really impressed by the overall professionality from such an unknown act. There's a notable attention to detail in everything from composition to playing and audio quality.
While Loneshore doesn't have the most original pool of influences, the band incorporates them well to create something different. This is one of the best Doom Metal albums from 2018, and the band probably has a bright future if they continue creating music like this. And..., a big extra plus for the amazing cover art!

The fourth full-length album by French Speed/Heavy/Power Metal band.
Album hosts with numerous catchy songs, tinted with melodies and also contains a wide range of rhythms. It must be highlighted that the guitar work is simply impressive, also supported by heavy drumming parts in the background, which lead all together to a really dynamic album. Furthermore, great guitar solos are scattered along the whole album. To be convinced, simply have a listen to the songs "Legacy Of The Wild", to the title track "The Dark Crusade" or to "Winter Farewell". The vocal parts are pretty good, too, and the tessitura and the tone of the singer can remind you of the singing of Chris Boltendahl (from Grave Digger). Finally, the purists can be also delighted because the album contains "clichés" and stereotyped elements of the Heavy Power Metal genre such as on the track "The Hail Victory", which kicks off with swords clashing and battle cries in the background, and then followed by a light-hearted chorus which immediately sticks in your head.
Even though "The Dark Crusade" brings nothing really markedly new in the Heavy Power Metal scene, it remains a really solid album. Indeed, the sound is really clear and powerful. Also the songwriting is pretty good and the production reinforces the musicians' work which is far for being bad, too.
"The Dark Crusade" comprises first-class Power Metal anthems including classics such as "Viktoria" and "Warrior Priest". Lonewolf delivers an album full of hits that masterfully combines headbanging qualities with killer appeal! If you are into Heavy/Power Metal, you should really have a listen to this album; you will not be disappointed!! So, no need to argue anymore, put “The Dark Crusade” into your CD player and get your own opinion!!!

Lord Agheros is capable of creating fantastic, melancholic and colossal atmosphere. You are carried through different moods, musical and emotional and by the end of this album you have learned to expect the unexpected.

The ninth full-length studio album by cult Swedish Black Metal band.
The first album of the band after 14 years of hiatus!
Having a glimpse at the gloomy demoniacal artwork done by Mike Hrubovcak, the listener cannot expect too friendly and positive music on this album. It was produced by Andy LaRoque, and he did a very good job with this. On "Rapture", you can find a cold but not too sterile production which creates a very nice Black Metal atmosphere in it.
Musically, it is as if the Swedish trio hasn't been away for 14 years. They haven't changed anything in their style and perform these harsh yet melodic sounds they did on their previous albums still. Some acoustic parts (like in "Rapture of Belial") enlighten the dark tracks a bit and create this very certain atmosphere the guys have always were able to create.
The album is very varied, which doesn't mean that it is somewhat random. All the tracks fit perfectly into this frame Lord Belial created with "Rapture". They did a fantastic job with this album and, fortunately for us, did not change the slightest thing in their compositions. All tracks are full of energy and hatred and want to be explored. Even Thomas´ voice sounds as fresh and sinister as it did in the past. 
If you liked Lord Belial in the past, be assured that you won't be disappointed by "Rapture". Here you can find all the trademarks they used in the past, and you won't be surprised in any negative way.
No fun, no core, no mosh, no trends!

The sixth full-length album by the Finnish Hard Rock band.
The monsters of rock are back with their heaviest album to date!
Given their predilection for dressing up like crazy monsters and playing '80s-influenced Hard Rock, it's hard not to call Lordi a theatrical band. And for all the effort they put into making their appearance larger than life, they somehow find a way to make their music even more ridiculous, finding the reserves of strength necessary to make sure their albums are always over the top, a trend they continue with their sixth album, "To Beast Or Not To Beast". Though the album finds the band scaling back its '80s love, there's still plenty of Rock & Roll escapism for fans of the band to indulge in, and while serious Metal fans might be turned off by its cartoonish qualities, those looking for some Hard-Rockin' fun will find what they're looking for here!
The album title was originally planned to be "Monsterial Phonica". But after Kiss released their album "Monster", Mr. Lordi thought that their album's name was too close to that so the band changed it to be "Upgradead". However, the band did not consider it an A-class name. Just few months before the release of the album, Amen came up with the final title, which the band felt suitable and perfect.
The album marks the recording debut of Lordi's new members, keyboardist Hella (replacing Awa) and drummer Mana (replacing Kita). “The road to this album has truly been paved by hardships”, - Mr. Lordi says. “However, the new line-up of the band has given us new and fresh touch and an energetic edge to the recording process and to the album itself”.
All in all this is an excellent album and it’s recommended for fans of Alice Cooper with his best works!!

“Imperviae Auditiones” is a good Prog album. Barbara Rubin’s vocals are very good, taking the listener on a journey through the story of each song. The Progressive elements of the album are also excellent – the ‘twiddly’ bits which are associated with this genre aren’t overdone, so the listener isn’t sitting there thinking ‘when is this going to end?’ Indeed, every member of the band is a talented musician, and they all get their time in the spotlight with wonderful solos. They all come together very nicely.
Overall, “Imperviae Auditiones” is a solid album. Recommended to anyone looking for something a bit different for their CD collection.

The second compilation album by cult American Heavy/Doom Metal/Rock band.
After a long absence, Lost Breed (now known as Vengeance Brothers) returned with “Bow Down”, marching in their classic Heavy/Doom paths. The band defines itself as a pure Doom Metal one, but in our ears, it’s more like a sweet combo of Heavy Metal, Southern Rock and Hard Rock. We’ve grown used to call bands like Candlemass as representatives of the Doom genre, since we’re Europeans, although now we’re dealing with the American version of Doom genre, which holds dear the combo aforementioned, plus some Garage Rock elements, to spice things up.
From a general spectrum, the tracks are satisfactory, without being too fancy or extravagant. The compositions are bouncy, while some heavy outbursts surprise us. The album’s quality is raised by Baestlein’s guitar solos and Silver’s drum choices, while Augustine’s distinct bass steals the show.
Twelve of the seventeen songs included in the album were already released in the compilation album “Wino Daze” (2007). We’re talking about tracks like “Lumberjack” with that nice intro and its intense bass and drums that lure you into their rhythm cave, “Shot Glass Eyes” and “Two Strong Fists” that have a more up-tempo and the heavy gem “Lock Up Your Daughters”.
After these already released pieces, we stumble upon another five that were released under the “Vengeance Brothers” name (the band acquired this name after parting ways with Pat Lydon). These tracks have a more Rock'n'Roll and Southern character, which is evident mainly in the guitar solos. In all of these compositions, the bass is clearly audible, without being treated like secondary instrument, as many musicians do. The title track “Bow Down” is quite uplifting and leads on your first beer right before dusk. Loud drums are found in “Manifest Destiny”, in which we encounter a great solo by Baestlein, as well. “Candy Store” and “Crystal Deth” are fast in speed and short in duration.
Generally, “Bow Down” is a record with a strong biker essence that is found only in remote areas of the American countryside. The musicianship between the members of Lost Breed seems to be very stable and has tied basis, which explains why the result is decent.
If you like anything from the now closed Hellhound label, then expect great things. Bands like Revelation, The Obsessed, Saint Vitus, Unorthodox and so on are all in tune with Lost Breed, although Lost Breed are more Rock and Roll than pure out and out Doom of other artists mentioned. This CD documents Lost Breed’s contribution to that phoenix rising from the ashes, a post 1995 release. This is a nice compilation with decent clear artwork, that stimulates your ears with tales of drugs, alcohol, woe and basically real life stuff. This is certainly a good value CD package for its musical content and really worth checking out for fans of Lost Breed’s development post official break up!!
