The untitled fourth studio album, commonly known as "Led Zeppelin IV". After the band's previous album "Led Zeppelin III" received lukewarm reviews from critics, band decided their fourth album would officially be untitled, and would be represented instead by four symbols chosen by each band member, without featuring the name or any other details on the cover.
Encompassing Heavy Metal, Folk, pure Rock & Roll, and Blues, this album is a monolithic record, defining not only Led Zeppelin, but the sound and style of '70s Hard Rock. Led Zeppelin fuse their majestic Hard Rock with a mystical, rural English Folk, that gives the record an Epic scope. At its basic, the album has a grand sense of drama, which is only deepened by Robert Plant's burgeoning obsession with mythology, religion, and the occult. Plant's mysticism comes to a head on the eerie Folk ballad "The Battle of Evermore", a mandolin-driven song with haunting vocals from Sandy Denny, and on the epic "Stairway to Heaven". Of all of Zeppelin's songs, "Stairway to Heaven" is the most famous, and not unjustly. Building from a simple fingerpicked acoustic guitar to a storming torrent of guitar riffs and solos, it encapsulates the entire album in one song. Which, of course, isn't discounting the rest of the album. "Going to California" is the band's best Folk song, and the rockers are endlessly inventive, whether it's the complex, multi-layered "Black Dog", the pounding Hippie satire "Misty Mountain Hop", or the Funky riffs of "Four Sticks". But the closer, "When the Levee Breaks", is the one song truly equal to "Stairway to Heaven", helping give "IV" the feeling of an Epic. In 2003, the album was ranked number 69 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time", which described it as "the peak of Seventies Hard Rock". The album was a commercial and critical success and is Led Zeppelin's best-selling, shipping over 37 million copies worldwide as of 2014. In 2016, Classic Rock Magazine ranked "Led Zeppelin IV" as the greatest of all Led Zeppelin albums. As of 2018, it is tied for third-highest-certified album in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America at 23× Platinum.

On their first two albums, Led Zeppelin unleashed a relentless barrage of heavy Blues and Rockabilly riffs, but “Led Zeppelin III” provided the band with the necessary room to grow musically. While there are still a handful of Metallic rockers, "III" is built on a Folky, acoustic foundation that gives the music extra depth.
And even the rockers aren't as straightforward as before: the galloping "Immigrant Song" is powered by Robert Plant's banshee wail, "Celebration Day" turns Blues Rock inside out with a warped slide guitar riff, and "Out on the Tiles" lumbers along with a tricky, multi-part riff. Nevertheless, the heart of the album lies on the second side, when the band delve deeply into English Folk. "Gallows Pole" updates a traditional tune with a menacing flair, and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" is an infectious acoustic romp, while "That's the Way" and "Tangerine" are shimmering songs with graceful country flourishes. The band hasn't left the blues behind, but the twisted bottleneck Blues of "Hats off to (Roy) Harper" actually outstrips the epic "Since I've Been Loving You," which is the only time Zeppelin sound a bit set in their ways.
"Led Zeppelin III"'s original vinyl edition was packaged in a gatefold sleeve with an innovative cover, designed by Zacron. The cover and interior gatefold art consisted of a surreal collection of seemingly random images on a white background, many of them connected thematically with flight or aviation (as in "Zeppelin"). Behind the front cover was a rotatable laminated card disc, or volvelle, covered with more images, including photos of the band members, which showed through holes in the cover. Moving an image into place behind one hole would usually bring one or two others into place behind other holes.
"Led Zeppelin III" was a trans-Atlantic #1 hit. It spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard chart, while it entered that British chart at #1 and remained there for three weeks (returning to the top for a further week on 12 December). In spite of its initially indifferent reviews and lower sales than Led Zeppelin's other early albums, "Led Zeppelin III"'s reputation has recovered considerably with the passage of time. The RIAA certified the album 2x Platinum in 1990, and 6x Platinum in 1999. Despite the album going to number 1 in the UK charts, it is the only Led Zeppelin album not to have a certification in the UK. The 2014 reissue of the album helped itself get back into the Billboard Top 10 just barely when it got to #10.

Recorded quickly during Led Zeppelin's first American tour, "Led Zeppelin II" provided the blueprint for all the Heavy Metal bands that followed it. Since the band could only enter the studio for brief amounts of time, most of the songs that compose "II" are reworked Blues and Rock & Roll standards that the band was performing on-stage at the time. Not only did the short amount of time result in a lack of original material, it made the sound more direct. Jimmy Page still provided layers of guitar overdubs, but the overall sound of the album is heavy and hard, brutal and direct. "Whole Lotta Love", "The Lemon Song", and "Bring It on Home" are all based on classic blues songs - only, the riffs are simpler and louder and each song has an extended section for instrumental solos. Of the remaining six songs, two sport light acoustic touches ("Thank You", "Ramble On"), but the other four are straight-ahead Heavy Rock that follows the formula of the revamped Blues songs.
While "Led Zeppelin II" doesn't have the eclecticism of the band's debut, it's arguably more influential. After all, nearly every one of the hundreds of Zeppelin imitators used this record, with its lack of dynamics and its pummeling riffs, as a blueprint!
Upon release, "Led Zeppelin II" sold well and was the band's first album to reach number one in the UK and the US. In 1970, art director David Juniper was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package for the album. On 15 November 1999, it was certified 12× Platinum by the RIAA for sales in excess of 12 million copies. Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric Blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar Rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the band's attack was subtlety: it wasn't just an onslaught of guitar noise, it was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos. As Led Zeppelin proves, the band was capable of such multi-layered music from the start. Although the extended Psychedelic Blues of "Dazed and Confused", "You Shook Me" and "I Can't Quit You Baby" often gather the most attention, the remainder of the album is a better indication of what would come later. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" shifts from Folky verses to pummeling choruses; "Good Times Bad Times" and "How Many More Times" have Groovy, Bluesy shuffles; "Your Time Is Gonna Come" is an anthemic Hard Rocker; "Black Mountain Side" is pure English Folk; and "Communication Breakdown" is a frenzied Rocker with a nearly Punkish attack. Although the album isn't as varied as some of their later efforts, it nevertheless marked a significant turning point in the evolution of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal!
Although the album initially received negative reviews, it was commercially very successful and has now come to be regarded in a much more positive light by critics. In 2003, the album was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. When Rolling Stone updated the list in 2012 the album remained ranked at 29th greatest of all time!!

Led Zeppelin continues to be honored for its pivotal role in music history. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded with the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Founding members Jones, Page and Plant – along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham – took the stage at London’s O2 Arena in 2007 to headline a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, a dear friend and Atlantic Records’ founder. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In January of 2014, the band won their first ever Grammy award as "Celebration Day", which captured their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert, was named Best Rock Album.

Newly remastered from the Original Master Tapes by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page, this double album is accompanied by a third disc, "Companion Audio", comprising previously unreleased music related to the original release. It has seven unreleased tracks, including rough mixes of “In My Time Of Dying” and “Houses Of The Holy”, as well as an early mix of “Trampled Under Foot” called “Brandy & Coke”. All the unreleased companion tracks offer fans a chance to hear well-known songs from a different perspective, including the Sunset Sound mix of “Boogie with Stu” and “Driving Through Kashmir”, a rough orchestra mix of the band’s eight-minute opus “Kashmir”. Also featured is “Everybody Makes It Through”, a strikingly different early version of “In the Light” with alternate lyrics.

Aarong's most commercially successful album, "Bodyrock", includes several hit songs, including "Whatcha Do to My Body", and was certified double Platinum in Canada. After spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on big producers and marketing for the four previous albums, this one was done on a relatively small budget. 
The album is Aaron's highest-charting release to date, reaching No. 24 on the Canadian albums chart and No. 36 on the German albums chart. Both of its Singles also charted: "Whatcha Do to My Body" reached No. 25 on the Canadian Singles Chart, and "Hands On" reached No. 38.
The music video for "Whatcha Do to My Body" was nominated for "Video of the Year" at the 1990 Juno Awards, while "Bodyrock" itself was nominated for "Album of the Year" and "Rock Album of the Year" in 1991. Furthermore, recording engineer Lenny DeRose received a nomination for "Recording Engineer of the Year" in 1990 for his work on the album. In Canada, "Bodyrock" was certified Platinum on December 18, 1989. "Bodyrock" was included on Chart Magazine's list of "20 most influential Canadian albums of the '80s".

Re-release of the debut full-length studio album, “The Lee Aaron Project”, by legendary Canadian Hard Rock/Heavy Metal singer.
Born Karen Lynn Greening, also known in the past as "Metal Queen", Lee Aaron marked as the first female Rock singer from Canada.
She’s debut, originally released as “The Lee Aaron Project” in 1982 through Freedom Records, was reissued in 1984 through Attic Records as “Lee Aaron” (not to be confused with her 1987 self-titled album).
The album featured well-known musicians of the Toronto music scene, including members of Moxy, Rif Raf3 (Q107 Homegrown Vol 4 / Lee Aaron Project band), Santers, and Triumph's Rik Emmett.
Between 1984 and 1992, Aaron toured extensively through Europe and made appearances in Japan and the United States. She released six albums on Attic Records in Canada and international releases in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Italy, Scandinavia, Australia, and Japan. She won three Toronto Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist.
Lee Aaron is one of Canada’s most iconic vocalists, songwriters, producers, and fearless re-inventors. With an impressive 40+ year career spanning 18 albums and multiple hit singles, she has undertaken successful forays into the world of Rock, Pop, Jazz, and even Opera.
