Third re-release on CD of the debut full-length album by legendary Ukrainian Pagan/Folk/Symphonic Black Metal band.
Originally released in 1996 on MC and considered by most as a demo-album, it's a professionally recorded full-length album and highly anticipated cult release requested by fans of elite Slavonic Black Metal, that was reissued on CD and vinyl for a several times.
"Lunar Poetry" is steeped in moonlight mystery and timeless Slavonic ritualism. This is Black Metal with highly expressive Folk sorrowful melodies. It delivers soaring guitars and apocalyptic keyboard passages. It offers a wide variance in vocals, from screams to whispers and narration, and it breathes the air of originality that Nokturnal Mortum is famous for.
Similar to Limbonic Art in their reliance on rumbling rhythm patterns and keyboard usage, Nokturnal Mortum did a fine job of capturing both - the bleakness of Black Metal, as well as a more ethnic representation of their native Ukrainian Folk music. The music is extremely fluid and tends to lean towards a more majestic and beautiful sound than harshness of Black Metal.
The band also covers Celtic Frost's "Sorrows of the Moon" with a nice degree of skill.
"Lunar Poetry" was way ahead of its time, and even today it sounds fresh and inspiring. In fact, the result is so startling - it is hard to imagine that this is only Nokturnal Mortum's very first journey into the dark, the ancient and the extreme... Regardless of occasional inexperience that is typical for a demo, "Lunar Poetry" is a beautiful, stirring and impressive album that utterly requires your attention if you have any liking for a keyboard laden Black Metal assault! Without a doubt, "Lunar Poetry" is one of the best Black Metal albums ever!!

Nuclear Aggressor just comes straight in and rocks your ass off for 10 straight songs. This band has the speed, fury and sound of the Thrash bands straight from the 80′s! This is some true Slayer type stuff. A real headbanger!!
The riffs are relentlessly fast and full of hammer ones, pull offs and tremolo speeds that would make Kerry King’s wrist ache. This is pure early 80′s Thrash with a beefy modern sound. Drum work is intense and the vocals are raw, exhilarating and loud. Even when the band starts a song off slow, like on “Praise to Insanity”, the slower tempo doesn’t last long as the band kicks it up another 100 bpm’s and begins to Thrash yet again!
Finally a song that is slower! “The Grave Awaits” is a more groovy song as the riff takes over your body and makes you headbang harder than ever. This song is the slowest one on the album, but even then…it’s only slower for half of the song. The album ends with the title track, and yes, it’s furiously fast!
This album f****ng rules! Amazing writing, musicianship and intensity!!

Remastered re-release of the third full-length album by legendary American Death Metal band.
Clocking in at a taut nine songs in 39 minutes without a second of filler, "The End Complete" may be the definitive Obituary studio album. The band's third, it marks the return of lead guitarist Allen West and it also marks an impressive leap forward in production. The songwriting and playing on Obituary's past albums had been commendable, and "The End Complete" is no exception in that regard. Rather, it's the return of West and the remarkable production job by Scott Burns that sets this album apart from its predecessors. The return of West is important not only because his solos are one of the band's trademarks but also because he's an integral songwriter, here co-penning four of the nine songs. Burns' crystal-clear, in-your-face production is not to be underestimated, either. If anything had marred Obituary's past two albums, both of them otherwise excellent, it was the murkiness of the sound, especially the drums. That's not an issue here at all, however, as Obituary have never sounded this great. The guitar tones especially are downright vivid, particularly when West and rhythm guitarist Trevor Peres depart from one another such as during the solos (the title track is a great showcase for this, and so is "Rotting Ways"). You can practically feel the respective guitar tones buzzing through your head, they're so well recorded. And so are John Tardy's vocals, which are sometimes overdubbed to make them all the more potent and nuanced. They're so well recorded, in fact, you can actually understand some of the lyrics!
This album is Obituary's best selling, with over 200000 copies sold in the U.S. and more than 550000 worldwide. It reached #16 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Also, the band's new logo introduced on "The End Complete" is the best selling shirt print in the history of Roadrunner Records.

The third full-length album by German Symphonic Black Metal band.
Obsidian Gate return 12 years after their last work! The band was formed in 1994 under the name The Gate and released its first demo “The Prime Uncreation” in 1998. In 1999 they changed name into Obsidian Gate and, as a trio (Marco, Markus and Daniela), released two masterpieces of Symphonic Black Metal, “The Nightspectral Voyage” in 1999 and “Colossal Christhunt” in 2001. Both albums were released by Skaldic Art Productions, the label of Vratyas Vakyas of Falkenbach. After the second album, Daniela left the band and Obsidian Gate released the 3-track EP “The Vehemence” in 2002. Unluckily, in 2003 the 2 remaining members decided to take a long break until 2008, when they reunited the band and started composing new material. In the end of 2012, the duo signed to the German label Kristallblut Records and finally in March 2014 their third full-length album “Whom The Fire Obeys” was out!
Obsidian Gate’s new album brings a lot of fresh air in their sound. Their music retains the Atmospheric orchestral character of the early works, while their Symphonic orchestrations are more dominant, powerful and complex than ever. This time though, their Melodic Black Metal elements have clearly given their place to a much more Technical Black/Death Metal oriented approach.
“Whom The Fire Obeys” is a very impressive album soundwise. It has a killer flawless production, with a really epic, bombastic, grandiose and polished sound; a relentless symphonic assault from the first minute till the last. The album is deeply influenced by ancient Egyptian history and mythology, something obvious in lyrics, artwork and music, with many eastern influences, traditional instruments and a very solid Dark Oriental atmosphere. Actually, there are parts where their music can easily be described as Oriental Folk Black/Death Metal. Epic aggressive technical guitars, fast rhythms, unbelievably rich orchestral synths and Black/Death Metal brutal vocals are the basic elements in Obsidian Gate’s music.
“Whom The Fire Obeys” includes eleven tracks totally and despite the complex song structures and absence of “easy catchy” melodies, its impressive technical details keep it very interesting for all 55 minutes of its duration. Several acoustic and Folk instruments, combined with background choirs and some slower Atmospheric parts, add a cinematic aesthetic to the whole result and help the band create a mystical atmosphere.
“Whom the Fire Obeys” is a very mature work with professional crystal clear production and unique atmosphere. Maybe 12 years is a long time to wait for an album, but it’s better late than never. Anyway, Obsidian Gate are back now and their new work is a great recommendation both to their older fans and to all who like Symphonic Extreme Metal!!

The third re-release of the debut full-length studio album by cult Swedish Melodic Death/Doom Metal band.
October Tide was a side project formed by two members of Katatonia with their style not at all far removed from that fine band. Melancholic, sorrowful mid-paced Metal, with Death Metal vocals laid over the top. Jonas Renske performed the vocals on "Rain Without End" like he did on all early Katatonia albums, intense, deep and very atmospherical. The October Tide line-up during "Rain Without End" was: Fredrik Norrman (electric, acoustic and bass guitars) and Jonas Renske (drums, electric and acoustic guitars and all vocals). This is the only October Tide release with Jonas Renkse on vocals.
The album was recorded at Unisound, Örebro, Sweden, in 1995. Later, it was re-mastered by Dan Swanö, during the winter 2007- 2008.
This re-release contains both the original and remastered versions.

"The Last Embrace To Humanity" is an ambitious concept album about the alienation of mankind. The songs are all around the 7-minute mark, which gives ample opportunity for longs solos and flights of fancy which show just how prodigiously talented the boys in the band are. The songs are perfectly crafted, and it is an album that is very easy to get into, yet you continually find something new every time you listen to it.
The album features a very special guest appearance by talented singer Michele Luppi (Vision Divine, Secret Sphere, Thaurorod) on the song "It's So Late".
