Somebody’s in the Zakk Wylde fan club here, that’s no doubt. Remember the eighties? Hellfueled does! They can remember a time when Ozzy Osbourne released albums like “The Ultimate Sin” and “No More Tears”. Sometimes they even stop and ponder the Randy Rhoads years. Singer Andy Alkman does an impression of Ozzy even better than the dude in Sheavy, but the real kicker here has to be the guitar wizardry of Jocke Limbgren, who manhandles the guitar and deserves recognition as a fine shredder in his own right, which begs the question: Does the Ozzman seeketh? Killer guitars can’t keep the group from sounding like a total Ozzy clone, however. “Look Out” is a textbook example of a song that Ozzy never wrote, but may have. If you close your eyes while listening to this and your friend told you that this was the new Ozzy record, you’d believe it!
Did we say that this sounds just like Ozzy? Yes! Is this bad? No!! Is this good? Yes!!!.

Fourth full-length album by Swedish Heavy Metal band.
"Emission Of Sins" espouses the same rock solid production of its predecessors, and the band gleams in each lead, and pounds relentless with every concrete rhythm. Hellfueled are in a pretty unique niche within the Swedish Metal scene, perhaps even Metal at large! With a sound that is equal parts Stoner Metal, Alice in Chains-like melodic Grunge, and Ozzy Osbourne, you'd think they might come across as passé, but instead they explode speakers through their sheer intensity!! Andy Alkman is still wailing away with a wild Ozzy Osbourne, though he centers on a lower range than the Ozzman's Sabbath days. Maybe Ozzy himself could officially name him as replacement. The vocals are a large part of what makes Hellfueled, but the riffs of Jocke Lundgren are larger. Lundgren keeps it real interesting, and his riffs are ever a pleasure, fully able to transport you between dirty bar fighting rock 'n' roll and glorious segues of fantasy that lift you to higher planes. It's a jarring contrast at times, but he is certainly one of the more interesting Swedish guitar players in years. Lonn and Svensson are as solid a rhythm section as you will find, their playing is infectious and allows the twin starlets of Alkman and Lundgren to shine. They swerve, they crash and they groove, burning along with the heat of a hundred suns and the assurance that the listener will NOT be bored, ever, while listening to this band!!

Third full-length album by Swedish Heavy Metal band.
With their two previous studio releases, Swedish based heavy rock outfit more than filled the void that Ozzy Osbourne left behind with his own lack of solo, with a sound that recalled the classic partnership of Ozzy Osbourne and guitarist Zakk Wylde circa 1988 through to 1992. Returning with their third full-length effort “Memories In Black”, Hellfueled have once again partnered up with producer Fredrik Nordstrom (who also produced their first two efforts at his own Studio Fredman) to ensure that the winning formula of the past stays intact, but not without making some slight changes to their sound in the process. On this album Hellfueled have experimented a little with their arrangements and tempos to reveal a little more of themselves beyond the obvious Ozzy Osbourne comparisons, all the while remaining true to the sound that was featured on their first two releases. In summary, “Memories In Black” is a solid rocking release, and well worth checking out!

The fifth full-length album by Brazilian Funeral Doom/Death Metal band.
Even though they were formed in 1996, they really started to make albums in the mid 2000s. This album clocks at almost 80 minutes and its pure Doom Metal with a dash of experimental stuff they hadn’t tried before and they branched out in other directions, but it’s still classic Doom and Gloom.
In this album, the lords of Brazilian Funeral Doom Metal scene have found the ultimate balance of atmospheric and melodic, most clearly expressing their vision of the genre and displaying all their typical and iconic sides, formed in the previous works. In the "Journey Through Endless Storms" the listeners meet the majestic keyboards combined with plangent dark guitars, solid growl shaded by clean male vocals inserts, and piercing guitar solos. All this means that the journey begins and it will be breathtaking!

The album pretty much unfolds with a consistent flow, including all the trappings of the Power Metal genre. It's about as good as band get, especially considering that it was released at around the time that Metal was beginning to make its comeback. Helloween has been through a lot, and they have come out better for it.
Fans of Deris era Helloween and fast Melodic Power Metal in general will find plenty to enjoy!

The thirteenth full-length studio album by legendary German Power Speed Metal band.
For the first time band combine Thrash Metal intensity with the melody and majestic imagery of the NWOBHM, based on Power and Speed Metal. Following 2005's "Keeper Of The Seven Keys: The Legacy", on which the band attempted to revive the style of their mid-'80s classics, "Gambling With The Devil" is a little more calculated. Is another masterpiece in the vein of “The Dark Ride”, but taking it to a higher level. More keyboards, piano, varied vocals, thrashy/death metalish riffs, catchy choirs, fast and technical guitar solos. We can find the appearance of Saxon mainstay Biff Byford on the intro track "Crack the Riddle".
It is a fantastic CD that is right up there with Helloween’s best releases! Fans of Helloween will automatically purchase this blindly, that is a given. As for the rest, you know who this band is and you know how they sound; it’s a CD which fans of Power Metal should get their hands on!!

Michael Kiske was young and quite adept at hitting the notes that are sure to irritate your household pets. "Keeper" also stepped a bit away from the more Thrashy vibe of "Walls Of Jericho", putting forth a cleaner, slicker version of Helloween. Much can be said about the melodic and exciting dual leads of Hansen and Michael Weikath, especially in "I'm Alive" and "Twilight of the Gods". Even on the pseudo-balladry of "A Tale That Wasn't Right", Helloween is able to avoid schlock cliche. And their signature track "Future World" aptly captures everything Helloween is about: a certain optimism, superbly catchy songwriting and a grand epic feeling. Speaking of epics, "Halloween" isn't quite up to the level of other epic Helloween songs and is a bit of a bear to wade through.
The band originally planned to release "Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part I" and "Part II" as a double album, but their record label refused, insisting that the albums be released separately.
"Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I" shows Helloween at their creative peak and is more necessary in your collection than any current Power Metal album!!

In the realm of Heavy Metal, few bands have left an indelible mark as significant as Helloween. The German Power Metal pioneers burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut mini-album, that would set the stage for a genre-defining career. Released in1985, this iconic record not only showcased the band's musical prowess but also played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of Power Metal.
The creation of Helloween's debut album can be traced back to the vibrant Metal scene of the early 1980s. In the wake of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), European bands began exploring new sonic territories, pushing the boundaries of traditional Metal. Helloween emerged from this milieu, blending the aggression of Metal with melodic and Symphonic elements, laying the foundation for what would later be recognized as Power Metal.
The recording process for the album took place at Musiclab Studios in West Berlin, Germany. Under the guidance of producer Harris Johns, the band, comprised of Kai Hansen (vocals/guitar), Michael Weikath (guitar), Markus Grosskopf (bass), and Ingo Schwichtenberg (drums), crafted a sound that was both raw and polished. The result was a dynamic fusion of speed and melody, punctuated by Hansen's soaring vocals and the intricate guitar work of Weikath.
The mini-LP format, with its limited number of tracks, challenged Helloween to make each song count. The album featured five original compositions, including the anthemic "Starlight" and the frenetic "Murderer". The concise yet impactful tracklist contributed to the album's accessibility and replay value, cementing its status as a classic in the Speed/Power Metal canon. Although it is a Speed Metal rather than a Power Metal album, the record is significant as the first effort by the band that would redefine the Power Metal genre.
"Helloween" was followed up later that same year by the band's first full-length album, "Walls Of Jericho".

Re-release on DVD of the debut full-length VHS by the legendary German Power/Speed Metal band.
This is the second DVD of Helloween. Recorded in Milan, Italy 21st May, and Pamplona and Girona, Spain on 31st May and 1st June 1996, "High Live" is definitely not a new release, but the fact that it has been re-issued in DVD format is worthy attention.
Helloween’s Time of the Oath Tour "High Live" captures the band at its best, live. They run through a set-list that is heavy on the Andi Deris era, with only four out of the sixteen songs from the Kiske years. Andi handles the daunting task of pulling off the old fan favorites really good. It’s amazing to see and hear the crowd sing at the top of their lungs that intro verse to the song, its just awe inspiring. Speaking of Andi he is excellent as a frontman he keeps the crowd going and looks like he’s having a blast on stage. He is constantly giving it his all and moves around a lot with a vide variety of singing poses, instead of just standing still and whatnot. Weiki’s just chilling off to the side smoking a lot of cigarettes while Markus and the now departed Roland are smiling a lot too and look like they are definitely enjoying themselves. Roland even does some lead singing in "Steel Tormentor" and has a vocal solo spot before "Mr. Ego". The camerawork is satisfactory as well; it has good angles, clear shots and has a bunch of split views of say Weiki’s fingers when he’s busting out a solo and Markus headbanging. For the guitarists out there you can be happy because there’s many close ups of either Roland or Weiki’s fingers and fret positions during the solos.
For Helloween fans this is a worthy purchase to add to your collection. It has the band performing some awesome songs live and it is on a much better format than VHS. This also comes in 5.1 surround sound for avid DVD-heads out there to put you in the middle of the action! Helloween are undeniably one of the most influential Heavy Metal bands to emerge from Europe during the 1980s. By taking the harmonies and structure of classic bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and infusing them with the urgency and energy of the growing Thrash Metal movement, Helloween created something unique and truly embody the essence of Power Metal. The band remains a strong force today, as proven on this DVD.
With over one hundred shows in forty different countries in 2005 and 2006 Helloween was on the road with their Keeper Of The Seven Keys - The Legacy World Tour. During this tour the band filmed at three different shows at three different continents: in South America (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Europe (Sofia, Bulgaria) adn Asia (Tokyo, Japan). And from these recordings the German quintet now releases a double DVD and CD, where the emphasis has been put unto the show in Sao Paulo.

The third full-length studio album by legendary German Power/Speed Metal band.
The album capitalized on the success of “Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I” and picks up where it left off. The magic that made "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I", a triumph of epic proportions, was still very much in the air come time for "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part II". What was originally intended to be a double album had to be split in two at the record company’s request, so "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part II" was recorded later and came out in 1988. Gladly, "Part II" a much longer album than "Part I", clocking in with an extra fifteen minutes or so of music.
"Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part II" is a very worthy follow up to the first album of the pair, as well as one of the best albums of 1988. Building upon the Power Metal blueprint (still known as Speed Metal by most in 1988), "Keeper II" offered listeners classy Metal with a strong sense of humor, a great selling point in a genre that has long taken itself far too seriously for its existence. The band still brandished their polished speed sound on songs like "Eagle Fly Free" as well as anthemic tunes like "I Want Out", "Save Us" or the powerful "We Got the Right". And naturally the band finished out the saga with the thirteen minute-plus epic "Keeper of the Seven Keys", a multilayered and far ranging song that ended the two album theme.
"Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part II" is a phenomenal album that was altogether fun, flawlessly played and well written. The album went Gold in Germany. Success bloomed all over Europe, Asia and even the United States.
In every sense of the word, this album is a musthave for every Metalhead in the world!!

For the first time officially on vinyl, the ninth full-length studio album by legendary German Power Metal band.
Seminal Power Metal gods appear to have got rather bored after their amazing last album, "Better Than Raw", and hence laid down an album full of recordings by other musicians. It’s a full cover songs album. They crank out Scorpions, Jethro Tull, Beatles, Faith No More, and Cream songs, among others. Each member of the band recorded their instruments independently (and in different countries and studios) of each other, and was later brought together at Andi Deris' Tenerife studio.
Helloween has done perfect covers of numerous classics. What most music critics fail to realize is that many people that pick this album up may not have ever heard some or any of these songs because it came before their time. That being said, it is hopeful that a younger group of Heavy Metal fans may gain an appreciation for what came before and what influenced Helloween as well as other Power Metal bands.
The song "Lay All Your Love on Me" was released as a Single in Japan.
