The fourth full-length album by Italian Progressive Black Metal band.
Compared to the Symphonic Black Metal of the early years, Hortus Animae have moved towards a melodic Avant-garde Death-Black Metal, which incorporates elements of Dark, Progressive and Electronica.
In Hortus Animae’s music always crossed different styles, and the new album is no exception. Here we have classic Black Metal, Gothic and even Prog! The musicians always gravitated around Progressive Rock, but this tendency is more visible on this new album. That said, the music does not become too eclectic and marginal. All together, it sounds very harmonic, nothing gets out. This is clearly a band that is completely unafraid to follow their instincts, and that factor grants the whole record an authenticity that is too often lacking in albums by bands that want to do everything by the book.
Vocals are equally changeable but everything works fluidly and all the pieces get together admirably. Neo-classical piano runs add ghostly atmosphere and it’s near impossible to guess what sort of lunacy is going to unveil itself next from this melting pot of an album.
The songwriting on show keeps the listener on their toes. Conceptually more interesting and stylistically more intriguing than in the past. 
This is Secular Music worthy of praise and with so much going on the eccentric trip is a highly involving one.
This gripping album should pick your interest if you have the open mindedness to keep up with it!

The fourth full-length album by Portuguese Black/Thrash Metal one-man band.
Formed in 1988 as a project by Jose Afonso (Decayed, Alastor, Thugnor, Nethermancy), this is the third CD under the name of Hoth.
To be honest, this isn't a very Black Metal album at all. This has more in common with Death and Thrash Metal, pounding riffs and solid hi speed drum work over a Melodic Death Metal styled vocal, throw in the occasional bit of keyboard work and a few great guitar solos.
It’s rare to hear a band playing Black/Thrash Metal of this caliber at such low speeds, but J.A. of Hoth utterly nails it. This solo artist plays the kind of intentionally anachronistic riffs you’d hear from some basement Black Metal bands from the mid ’90s, but with such conviction and boldness that it gets you up and moving right away. And J.A. knows how to shred a guitar solo apart. These are good old Rock 'n' Roll solos that rise like an infernal battle banner above Hoth’s Thrashy dissonance.
"The Black Goddess Return" isn’t reinventing the genre, but when it comes to Black/Thrash Metal, the old ways are always best. Draw your sword, raise the horns and bang your f***ing head!!

Ecclectic, savage, brutal, sick and heavy beyond beliefs... The list is endless. This band's sound is savagery put to music and while it is definitely not for the casual Heavy Music listener, nobody will stay cold listening to this, like it or not this band is different and supremely destructive. The character of the music is generally similar to spherical and dark Death Metal bands, but Hybreed Chaos never approaches the level of the aforementioned names. However, this band is creative and occasionally shows interesting ideas. Brace yourself!

The sixth full-length studio album by cult Czech Experimental Death Metal band.
After 2017's "The Whitecrow", Hypnos followed up with "The Blackcrow". Cute?.. "The Blackcrow" follows in the same direction, but it's not quite as trippy and experimental and, when they go for that, it's obvious that the band got better at it, so the songs on the album fit together a lot more this time around.
Overall, it's Technical and Experimental Death Metal that doesn't blast everything in its path, rather going for slow to mid-pace with the occasional speedier songs. If you like your Death Metal more intricate, as opposed to a pedal-to-the-Metal pound fest, then this album is likely to be of interest.
The production was done in a way that the band uses the rough and brutal instrumental tunes of the past, but taking advantage of modern recording devices. And this combination reaches a good result, because their music sounds aggressive and raw, but in a defined way that everyone can understand.
Interestingly, they end the album with a rerecording of "In Blood We Trust", the title track of their 2000 debut album, which really shows how far away from the original sound Hypnos have come.
"The Blackcrow" is a great album, which shows that Hypnos has a lot to offer to Extreme Metal fans.

When you first listen to Hypnosia’s Extreme Hatred you might want to guess where they’re from. Are they from the Bay Area, Germany, Florida, Latin America? Nope, these guys are from Sweden. When in Sweden there was a total lack of Thrash Metal bands Hypnosia arose. A furious mix of Morbid Saint and Kreator was what they unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. And they took the world by storm!
Before the world even knew a Thrash Metal revival was on its way, this album already became a Thrash Metal masterpiece. It came out in the year 2000 in Sweden, a country which is not well known for Thrash, and it helped resurrect Thrash Metal back to its most savage form. This album has it all anger, hate, violence, malevolence, and speed. Sure, it’s not the most original record, but it Thrashes hard and fast. That’s really all you can ask for in a record like this!
"Extreme Hatred" is real Thrash Metal for the people that are not afraid of too many fu**ing riffs. Highly recommended for fans of Kreator and similar bands!!

The third full-length album by American Blues/Hard Rock guitarist-virtuoso.
Growing up in New England, Iain Ashley Hersey cut his teeth on the heavier British Rock Bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Bad Company and guitar players like Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. Certainly influenced by the voices from the past, he's always strived to grow musically and develop his own style of which he has now most certainly carved out his own unique voice and signature. A real hardworker in order to become a well-respected axeman (student at Musician's Institute in Hollywood plus studied at the Berklee College Of Music in Boston), later he expanded his realm into that of Jazz improvisation, eventually though he returned to the fold of Rock ’n’ Roll.
“Nomad” is Iain Ashley Hersey’s most recent studio album. This time singer Carsten Schulz can be heard on the majority of songs. Former Rainbow singer Doogie White took over the lead vocals on the Rainbow cover song “L.A. Connection”, which also features Paul Logue (Eden’s Curse) on bass. 
"Nomad"'s class is unveiled even from the first notes of "Nicotine Dreams" and - throughout the whole CD - time will pass by in full bliss if you're into the likes of Deep Purple, Pat Travers, Led Zeppelin, Glenn Hughes, Ceam and Rainbow. It's kind of a Heavy Blusey Classic Rock with a hint of Fusion overtones. Sounds typical but as soon as you insert "Nomad" in your CD player and push 'play' you'll remember your adoration for the style/sound pioneered in Great Britain three decades ago.
Iain Ashley Hersey has worked so much on the structure of the songs as total pieces that limited are the chances to feel loaded with a 'guitar expertice' display. With the valuable help of Doogie White (Yngwie Malmsteen), Jochen Mayer (Casanova, Demon Drive, Domain), Frank Kraus (Demon Drivve), Paul Logue (Eden's Curse) and Holger Seeger (Midnite Club), the result is a set of songs in a variety of tempos and melodies that will, no question, gain your interest as long as you are an admirer/follower of the 70s British Rock sound (the harmonies of Blue Oyster Cult may come in mind, too).
Iain Ashley Hersey has released a wonderful 70s Hard Rock album. Looking into "Nomad", you'll see the luxurious simplicity of meaningful guitars, lukewarm vocals and ear-catching music in general. Do not pass by if shaking your head to the above saying!!

Remastered re-release of the third and the last full-length studio album by legendary British Jazz Rock/Fusion/Hard Rock band.
Ian Gillan never sounded entirely comfortable in the first incarnation of the Ian Gillan Band, quite likely because his colleagues were more interested in Progressive Rock than he was. Not that Gillan was adverse to Prog (after all this was the Ian Gillan Band, and if he didn't want to move in this direction, he wouldn't), but he never sounded entirely comfortable with it. That much was certain from "Clear Air Turbulence", a full-fledged exploration into Jazz Fusion and Prog Rock where the band sounded at ease and the singer sounded tentative, which was perhaps the reason Ian Gillan Band did a 180 for their third album, "Scarabus".
Released a mere six months after "Clear Air Turbulence", "Scarabus" rocks considerably harder than its predecessor, but there are still flourishes of their more Experimental inclinations, particularly how they easily fall into a Funk Fusion groove. Their presence only emphasizes how Gillan sounds best when he's simply rocking. And he does get the occasional chance to do that here, but too often the riffs are transparently complicated, not catchy, or the music breaks into contrived Jazzy instrumentals. Compared to "Clear Air Turbulence", "Scarabus" does sound like unadulterated Hard Rock, but it never rocks with abandon; it always sounds self-conscious. That self-consciousness is only enhanced by the lack of strong material - "Mad Elaine" does come close to being memorable, but most of the songs sound like excuses to Rock.
Even if "Scarabus" is a failure, it is interesting for longtime Gillan fans, since it does offer proof that Ian Gillan Band were talented musicians who just couldn't quite deliver the Hard Rock their singer craved. Listening to "Scarabus" in retrospect, it's little wonder that he disbanded Ian Gillan Band after this album.
The CD reissue included an extra track, "My Baby Loves Me", recorded live at the Budokan Hall, Tokyo, Japan, on 22 September 1977, that was originally part of the double LP set “Live At The Budokan”, and had been omitted from the UK release in error.

The second full-length album by Italian Melodic Heavy Metal band.
These guys have been putting out their style of music since 2001. The band's first big success was the first prize at the "Rock Around The Road" festival in 2004. After that, Ibridoma have started to work on their own material and, finally, in 2005 they released their debut EP with the title "Lady Of Darkness". This album received some solid reviews in the net and Ibridoma's future was looking bright! In 2007, guitarist Marco Vitali came on board and "Page 26", their debut album, was a fact. The band participated in many live gigs and toured with big names such as Uli Jon Roth, Richie Kotzen and Blaze Bayley among others.
The band has gone through changes over the years, but has kept the core of their sound the same throughout the years. They have a little bit of 70's Hard Rock sound with some Progressive Rock influences, and more 80’s Heavy Metal Style shining through in places. This 80's Heavy Metal sound at times mixed with some more Modern Rock elements. These guys are moving in the safe old-fashioned Metal paths with a more fresh air and, it's sure, that the final result will please most of the 'old' Metal/Hard rock fans out there. The band reminds of a lot of the Heavy Metal bands from the late 70's and 80's that have stayed together and progressed their sound to a more Modern Metal style. If you were to blend elements of old and new material from Aerosmith, Kiss, Mötley Crüe, Poison & L.A. Guns together then you'd have a decent idea of what these guys have to offer. If you’re a fan of any of these bands or bands similar from the same time period, then check these guys out!!

The fourth full-length studio album by Italian Heavy/Power Metal band.
Italian Traditional Heavy Metal School is something different from the others, having some peculiarities that you won’t find in any other country in the entire world. The main feature that calls our attention is that the bands from the country use a great amount of weight, and they sound truly aggressive and modern. This is that case of the quintet Ibridoma, from Morrovalle, that is back with their latest album, “December”. Their musical work is based in great catchy melodies, but with the modern aggressiveness that we usually see from Judas Priest and Metal Church works, but with a clear melodic sense, and a good dose of musical accessibility (pay attention the choruses) is what make their songs sound personal and different.
The sound quality is very good, a fine work, indeed. The balance between weight, melodies and aggressiveness is almost perfect. But, looking back to their previous works, we can say that “December” is clearly the heavier album of the band, and as well, their arrangements are better than before.
The artwork of the album is a fine piece created by the Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes. The experience of playing with bands such as Sabaton and Queensryche is making the difference on “December”, and the album has two especial guests: Paul "The Beast" Di’Anno on “I’m a Bully” and Blaze Bayley on “Land of Flames”.
The quality level is high, and “December” makes our adrenaline levels run of the scales! Listen to it loud, because Ibridoma is one of the finest bands in Italy!!

The third full-length album by Italian Heavy/Power Metal band.
With two EPs and three full-length albums already under their belt, Ibridoma have been around for quite some time. Their stance is one that should be familiar to those who love the Traditional aspects of the 1980’s – locked and loaded tempos that are steady and smooth with occasionally fill and double bass flourishes, easy on the ears melodies and vocal harmonies for emphasis during the choruses, and the guitars ringing out chord and riff progressions that make consumers throw out Metal signs and head bang.
Upon listening to a snippet of "Goodbye Nation", we hear that Ibridoma are a heavier Power Metal band with a dual guitar sound and heavy drums that is closer to Thrash Metal. The songs such as “My Star” and the title cut straddle the line between conventional acts like Primal Fear or Judas Priest and then a little bit of the Sunset Strip sound from say Babylon A.D. or Junkyard. Instead of tacking on a ballad towards the conclusion of the record, “Anja” appears as track four, the lead break very understated and complementary to the back and forth clean verses and heavier bridge/chorus instrumentation. The heavier, chunky staccato riffs during “You Are A Liar” work brilliantly against the sinister, maniacal vocal parts from Christian.
On three of the nine songs on "Goodbye Nation" Ibridoma recruited guest vocalists including Rhapsody Of Fire's Fabio Lione, Primal Fear's Ralf Scheepers, and Infernal Poetry’s Paolo Ojetti!
Massive Heavy Rock with the unmistakable Christian voice that weaves light melodies as counterpoint of a granitic sound. An album that will satisfy both the old school defenders and the lovers of new sounds! “Goodbye Nation” will find a home in some record collections for sure!!
