The third full-length studio album by legendary British Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band.
Band's first album to feature guitarist Phil Collen and produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange.
While Def Leppard had obviously wanted to write big-sounding anthems on their previous records, "Pyromania" was where the band's vision coalesced and gelled into something more. More than ever before, the band's songs on "Pyromania" are driven by catchy, shiny melodic hooks instead of heavy guitar riffs, although the latter do Pop up once in a while.
But it wasn't just this newly intensified focus on melody and consistent songwriting (and heavy MTV exposure) that made "Pyromania" a massive success - and the catalyst for the '80s Pop-Metal movement. Robert John "Mutt" Lange's buffed-to-a-sheen production - polished drum and guitar sounds, multi-tracked layers of vocal harmonies, a general sanding of any and all musical rough edges, and a perfectionistic attention to detail - set the style for much of the melodic Hard Rock that followed.
It wasn't a raw or spontaneous sound, but the performances were still energetic and committed. Leppard's quest for huge, transcendent Hard Rock perfection on "Pyromania" was surprisingly successful; their reach never exceeded their grasp, which makes the album an enduring (and massively influential) classic!
Song "Rock! Rock! ('Till You Drop)" was performed as early as 1980, originally as a song called "Medicine Man", with different lyrics.
"Pyromania" has received mostly positive reviews, being commonly considered, along with its follow-up "Hysteria", one of the band's finest efforts to date.
The album was a huge success, charting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and No. 18 on the UK Albums Chart. It was selling over 10 million copies in the US, and thus being certified Diamond by the RIAA.

For the first time on vinyl, the tenth full-length studio album by legendary British Melodic Alternative/Hard Rock band.
The band's last album for Mercury Records, and it was considered by many as a return to the band's old, Rockier days.
The history of this album dates as far back as late 2003 when the band originally had the idea to record two albums simultaneously through 2004. Releasing a covers' album quietly in Spring 2004, followed later in the year/the following year by a new studio album. The finished album, the band's ninth of all original material, saw most of the songs written by one person in a change from previous albums. The first Single, "Nine Lives", featured a guest appearance by Tim McGraw on vocals. For the first time, the band released the song via the Guitar Hero III game. It was available with two classic songs as part of a three-song track pack for the Xbox 360 console. Another Single was released written by Sav called "C'mon C'mon". Videos were made for both songs.
The album was a hit with fans and critics, with a return to a more stripped down and rocking sound and no big layered production used. It entered the Top 10 of both the UK and US album charts, and also got to number one on the UK Rock album charts. The album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, selling about 55 000 copies in its first week of release. It is the band's shortest album to date.

The album consists of songs written over a decade. Each song reflects bands state of perception at a certain point but with common concept in mind. The album explores inherent human tendency to ignore the obvious.
Deface music is versatile, ranging from "three-riff songs" to complex and elaborate. Shredding mid to high tempo, each song represents complete composition structure.

"Defiled Embrace" song, that was actually the inspiration to the band's name, is a sad, depressive text of a person, mentally still a child, who constantly needs the love, care, and warmth of a mother figure, and yet wishes to be independent because his neediness harms him.
This melodic song brings sweeping melodies and harmonies to an already full table of angry growls and depressed whispers.

The song describes the grieving process of a man who lost his significant other, going from the suffering of watching her dying to missing her love and warm touch, and all the way into the urge to commemorate her.
Like the changing in the man's phases of grief, the song moves between sounds of clean, soothing guitars and heavy distortion, and Symphonic elements that give the song a dramatic feel.

This single features Israeli vocalist Efrat Lavie, whose soft yet dramatic performance adds a powerful emotional depth to the track.

"Soul of a Swan" moves slowly across dark, silent waters, where beauty is a burden and no one is watching. A lone swan drifts endlessly, aching to be seen, yet met only with emptiness.
Mournful strings and distant keys echo his quiet despair, while shifting vocals – somber declamations and low growls – give shape to a voice that no one hears. His grace fades into something hollow, something pitiful.
In the end, there is no answer – only still water, and a lonely soul left to drown in its own reflection.

Second full-length album by Serbian Brutal Death Metal band.
What we have here are extremely distorted, low-tuned chainsaw guitars with heavy mind blowing riffs, sick gory break downs and speed picking, giving an extremely sick and mean atmosphere. As in every track, guitars are shredding as the bass comes to Grind the Slashes of the shattered guts all over the place. You can clearly hear the bass guitar playing over everything, adding more aggressiveness to the music itself. Drums are way too fast and skilled, giving a feeling of insanity, and loosing the neck for an ultimate headbang, speed rolls and blast-beats and an extremely heavy sound!
The vocals are not of that beg-n'-squeal voice or that unheard vocals style. You can hear it clearly: extreme, brutal and aggressive yet heard and is overall firm vocalization!
Excellent brutal Death Metal debut, which will appeal for fans of Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Suffocation and the likes!!

Seventh full-length studio album by the legendary American Death Metal band.
Recorded at the legendary Morrisound Studios, Florida, "Scars of The Crucifix" heralded the return to form of one of the Death Metal originators who after leaving their previous label were full of venom, hate and aggression. Cleanly produced by Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse, Queensryche), the band sounds appropriately brutal with synchronized dual-guitar shredding by Eric Hoffman and Brian Hoffman (who also manage about 17 solos between the two of them), metronomic drumming by Steve Asheim, and Glen Benton's bass guitar and deep growl (sometimes double-tracked with higher-pitched vocals).
This is their first album under new label Earache Records. This was also the last album to feature the Hoffman brothers on guitar, after their 17 year tenure with the band.
Album was awarded a Silver disc after 100,000 copies sold.

The eighth full-length studio album by the legendary American Death Metal band.
This is the first album recorded without brothers Hoffman who were dismissed from the band for skipping concerts. Guitarists Jack Owen (ex-Cannibal Corpse) and Ralph Santolla (ex-Iced Earth) took their places. The album has received very high critical acclaim - mainly for unique as for Death Metal sound. Highly technical guitar works and an unusually high for Death Metal melodism make this album unique in sound.
According to the magazine Metal Storm at this album for the first time was an attempt to develop Dream Death Metal means introducing elements of trance in Death Metal. However, it should be noted that the theme of the album has not changed significantly although it has become dreamier.

Debut DVD by the legendary American Death Metal band.
Recorded live and filmed on 4 cameras at the Mean Fiddler, London, 29th November 2004, this DVD features a full 17 track set with old classics and tracks from the last album "Scars Of The Crucifix", played by classic lineup of: Glen Benton (bass), Steve Asheim (drums), Jack Owen (guitar) and Dave Suzuki (guitar). The songs are great, pretty diverse selection here - starting with the new stuff, while heavy on the classics near the end. The crowd is pretty rowdy when the classics are played and that is definitely a plus.
There's also a bonus 30-minute documentary "Behind the Scars", featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Deicide recording "Scars Of The Crucifix", candid interviews at home and backstage with the band, exclusive footage from the rehearsal room and the formation of Deicide, and explanation of Glen's forehead branding. It really takes you inside the band. The documentary features the Hoffman brothers before they left (they left Deicide five days before the concert was recorded) and there's a lot of footage of them, they mainly discuss the band's history. Glen Benton is hilarious, he talks about an e-mail he received from some kid, he plays with a lizard before kicking it (!). Steve Asheim is a crazy bastard; he shows off his gun collection and goes to the shooting range to take pot-shots at some Osama targets.
This is a very solid DVD release from notorious Death Metal band. The production is good, the band sounds top notch, and the extra features go very well with the rest of the release. This DVD is a nice in depth glimpse into the history of Deicide, and their status at that time!!

The second full-length studio album by Chilean Thrash Metal band.
“Religion Of Sin” is as it sounds, a straightforward piece of South American machinery with plenty of admiration towards the European and the American Thrash scenes. It's shattering and crushing, tormenting as if it was a part of earlier discography of the Teutonic lords, Kreator, and moderately tasting the oxidized blood irons of Dark Angel, with a fierce type of Thrash Metal, letting their damnation out with sheer force.
It started with the main riffs, heat fuming guitar soloing that burned your skins, and of course the Petrozza like vocals at full stretch, piercing with glory. Nonetheless, it also noticeable that Demencia struggled to step out of the old Kreator-ish dignitary while adjoining a few uneven song assemblies, speed demon passages, and slightly Americanised Thrash Metal riffs. And in general it worked out for them, but it still sounds and walks like a Kreator late 80s release, of course not bad.
Infusing songs in Spanish was a right call in order to secure their South American roots intact, and at least one of them creased with no mercy. The Kreator-ish doctrine within the rhythms and beats, made Demencia to come up with lead guitar efforts that in their benefit stood tall.
It's recommend to be listened by every Metalhead that respects the meaning of moshing and Metal as well as for fans of Destruction, Sodom, Kreator, and Dark Angel!!
