The fourteenth full-length studio album by legendary British Progressive Rock band.
The second Pink Floyd album recorded without founding member Roger Waters, "The Division Bell" was written mostly by guitarist and singer David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright. It features Wright's first lead vocal on a Pink Floyd album since "The Dark Side Of The Moon" (1973). Gilmour's fiancée, novelist Polly Samson, co-wrote many of the lyrics, which deal with themes of communication. The production team included longtime Pink Floyd collaborators such as producer Bob Ezrin, engineer Andy Jackson, saxophonist Dick Parry, and bassist Guy Pratt. It was the last Pink Floyd album recorded with Wright, who died in 2008.
The album won the Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental Performance on "Marooned". "The Division Bell" was nominated for the 1995 Brit Award for Best Album by a British Artist, but lost to Blur's "Parklife".
"The Division Bell" reached number one in more than 10 countries, including the UK and the US. It was certified double Platinum in the US the year it was released, and triple Platinum in 1999.

The album, named after the title of chapter seven of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows" (Syd Barrett's favorite children's book), and featuring a kaleidoscopic cover photo of the band taken by Vic Singh, is the only one album made under founding member Syd Barrett's leadership. 
Since its release, the album has been hailed a pivotal Psychedelic Rock album, with the embryonic elements of what was to become Progressive rock. Lyrical imagery of "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is indeed full of colorful, childlike, distinctly British whimsy, albeit filtered through the perceptive lens of LSD. Barrett's catchy, melodic Acid Pop songs are balanced with longer, more Experimental pieces showcasing the band's instrumental freak-outs, often using themes of space travel as metaphors for hallucinogenic experiences. But even though Barrett's lyrics and melodies are mostly playful and humorous, the band's music doesn't always bear out those sentiments - in addition to Rick Wright's eerie organ work, dissonance, chromaticism, weird noises, and vocal sound effects are all employed at various instances, giving the impression of chaos and confusion lurking beneath the bright surface. "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" successfully captures both sides of Psychedelic experimentation - the pleasures of expanding one's mind and perception, and an underlying threat of mental disorder and even lunacy; this duality makes "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" all the more compelling in light of Barrett's subsequent breakdown, and ranks it as one of the best Psychedelic albums of all time! One of the most acclaimed concept albums of all time, “The Wall” is renowned as Roger Waters’ Rock Opera dealing with abandonment and personal isolation. 
It is a rock opera that explores Pink, a jaded Rock Star whose eventual self-imposed isolation from society forms a figurative wall. From 1980 to 1981, Pink Floyd performed the full album on a tour that featured elaborate theatrical effects. In 1982, "The Wall" was adapted by Alan Parker into a feature film, for which Waters wrote the screenplay, featuring Bob Geldof in the lead role.
There was some controversy when the British press reported that the children had not been paid for their efforts; they were eventually given copies of the album, and the school received a £1,000 donation (£5,000 in contemporary value).
Some of the out-takes from the recording sessions were used on the band's next album, "The Final Cut" (1983).
The album was a commercial success, topping the US charts for 15 weeks and reaching number three in the UK. It initially received mixed reviews from critics, many of whom found it overblown and pretentious, but later received accolades as one of the greatest albums of all time and one of the band's finest works. The Single "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2" yielded the U.S. and U.K. #1 hit. The album topped the Billboard charts for 15 weeks, selling over a million copies in its first two months of sales, and in 1999 was certified 23× Platinum. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
"The Wall" is one of the best-known concept albums. With over 30 million copies sold, it is the second best-selling album in the band's catalogue (behind 1973's "The Dark Side Of The Moon"), the best-selling double-album of all time, and one of the best-selling albums of all time overall. In 2000, it was voted number 30 in Colin Larkin's "All Time Top 1000 Albums". Rolling Stone placed it at number 87 on its "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list in 2003, maintaining the rating in a 2012 revised list, although this was updated to 129 with the list's 2020 revision. Based on such rankings, the aggregate website Acclaimed Music lists "The Wall" as the 166th most acclaimed album in history.

Remastered re-release of the ninth full-length studio album by legendary British Progressive Rock band.
Pink Floyd followed the commercial breakthrough of "Dark Side Of The Moon" with "Wish You Were Here", a loose concept album about and dedicated to their founding member Syd Barrett. The record unfolds gradually, as the Jazzy textures of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" reveal its melodic motif, and in its leisurely pace, the album shows itself to be a warmer record than its predecessor. Musically, it's arguably even more impressive, showcasing the band's interplay and David Gilmour's solos in particular. And while it's short on actual songs, the long, winding soundscapes are constantly enthralling.
It was Pink Floyd's first album with Columbia Records, an affiliate of CBS; the band and their manager Steve O'Rourke had been dissatisfied with the efforts of EMI's US label Capitol Records. The band remained with EMI's Harvest Records in Europe.
"Have a Cigar" was chosen by Columbia as first single, with "Welcome to the Machine" on the B-side in the US.
In UK, with 250 000 advance sales, the album debuted at number three and reached number one the following week. Demand was such that EMI informed retailers that only 50 per cent of their orders would be fulfilled. With 900 000 advance orders (the largest for any Columbia release) it reached number one on the US Billboard chart in its second week. "Wish You Were Here" was Pink Floyd's fastest-selling album ever.
The album was certified Silver and Gold (60,000 and 100,000 sales respectively) in the UK on 1 August 1975, and Gold in the US on 17 September 1975. Remastered from the original analogue tapes in 2016, 180g Heavyweight Vinyl comes with printed inner sleeve, postcard and download code card. It concealed in black shrink-wrap (making the front cover art "absent"). On the front of the shrinkwrap is a George Hardie designed sticker depicting two mechanical hands engaged in a handshake.

Pink Floyd followed the commercial breakthrough of "Dark Side Of The Moon" with "Wish You Were Here", a loose concept album about and dedicated to their founding member Syd Barrett. The record unfolds gradually, as the Jazzy textures of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" reveal its melodic motif, and in its leisurely pace, the album shows itself to be a warmer record than its predecessor. Musically, it's arguably even more impressive, showcasing the band's interplay and David Gilmour's solos in particular. And while it's short on actual songs, the long, winding soundscapes are constantly enthralling.
It was Pink Floyd's first album with Columbia Records, an affiliate of CBS; the band and their manager Steve O'Rourke had been dissatisfied with the efforts of EMI's US label Capitol Records. The band remained with EMI's Harvest Records in Europe.
"Have a Cigar" was chosen by Columbia as first single, with "Welcome to the Machine" on the B-side in the US.
In UK, with 250 000 advance sales, the album debuted at number three and reached number one the following week. Demand was such that EMI informed retailers that only 50 per cent of their orders would be fulfilled. With 900 000 advance orders (the largest for any Columbia release) it reached number one on the US Billboard chart in its second week. "Wish You Were Here" was Pink Floyd's fastest-selling album ever.
The album was certified Silver and Gold (60,000 and 100,000 sales respectively) in the UK on 1 August 1975, and Gold in the US on 17 September 1975. The second re-release of the first DVD by legendary American Pop/Pop Rock/R&B singer.
It was shot in Manchester, England during the European leg of the 2004 Try This Tour.
During the performance of "Lady Marmalade", Pink imitated Christina Aguilera and sang lines from Aguilera’s song "Beautiful". For the DVD release, this segment was branded with a “CENSORED” mark and the audio was modulated, so the viewer could not decipher the lyrics.
A number of covers are featured on the DVD, including an entire segment dedicated to Janis Joplin, wherein Pink sang select pieces of three songs. Pink, a longtime Joplin fan, was at one point considered for a biopic of the troubled musician.
The concert became the 6th highest-selling DVD for 2007 in Australia.

Re-release of the debut full-length album by Finnish Psychedelic Dark Gothic/Industrial band, the project of Jani Lehtosaari (ex-Impaled Nazarene).
After a few EPs, two mini-albums, and a 10" Plan E have finally released their debut full-length album. As expected, Plan E continues to mutate and adapt their sound. "Songs For A Rainy Day" finds the band more down to earth and more direct than most of their other releases. Not that they are any less experimental, just that their experiments are more focused.
This is their heaviest and darkest collection of songs to date. Not to mention their best! The guitars play a more dominating role in the music than ever before. The keyboards add to the overall sonic wall by careening wildly around the music, sometimes just teasing the sound peripherally and other times joining in the fray as a full contributor. The vocals are thick and menacing. There are plenty of Industrial touches and sound embellishments that also add to the stifling atmosphere on the disc. It is amazing how the sound of a dentist's drill will make a spooky song turn downright evil!
The biggest step the band has made is in their song writing. Without losing any or the quirkiness that has come to define the band, they have sculpted a batch of tunes that are related in form and flavor to more mundane musical genres like Metal, Industrial and Gothic. This affords the band a base from which to launch their more adventurous sounds without alienating those with little imagination. Consequently this album should appeal to a much wider base of fans than the members of Plan E are used to!

Debut full-length album by Greek Heavy Rock /Stoner Metal band.
Music based on groove, nice guitar melodies, a solid as a rock rhythm section and the singer's whiskey soaked harsh vocals. Their sound is something like a bastard child of bands like DOWN, CLUTCH, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS and FIREBALL MINISTRY, as well as of Iommi's solo albums. Especially their smoother moments are really close to the music BLACK SABBATH's riff machine writes.
The band is proudly raising its middle finger to the Metal/Rock scene showing that many great stuff are about to follow. Get this really good album, drink a bottle of the always friendly Uncle Jack and enjoy these potheads!
