The debut full-length album by Italian Thrashcore band.
Deshody features a lot of aggressive playing and even more aggressive vocals. Their debut album “Collapsing Colors” gives us a taste of their heavy sound.
Opening with “Losing Control”, you pretty much get the idea of the band’s sound right away; heavy, down-tuned guitars, in-your-face growling vocals, and lots of breakdowns. What is somewhat interesting as that the band stays heavy throughout, whereas usually the Core genre tends to have clean choruses. This does set them apart a bit from the usual crowd. There are melodic moments but they are approached in a much heavier way than you would always expect.
The band soldiers onwards through tracks like “Calypso” which has some more Groove Metal aspects to it and also has a very crazy sounding outro, and “Harpooned to the Ground” which has some riffs worth some merit with a cool sound that isn’t simply chugging, and some almost Crossover/Thrash style vocalization.
The band pretty much sticks to its heavy sound, sometimes throwing in some atmospheric and electronic moments like in “History of a Legion”, and some more melodic moments interspersed throughout the album. There are some pretty cool solos on the track “Code”. The album finishes with “Reflecting on the Way” which slows things down a bit but is still plenty heavy, with some cool riffs on the chorus itself. This is a good finish to the album.
The production is nice and professional, plenty of heaviness and pretty much industry standard as far as the genre goes; better than the average band in this style.
This is a solid album for fans of Thrashcore, with plenty of melodic. Still, it’s a debut album, so with their second we may well see some serious development and experimentation!

The first Single by legendary French Synth-Pop/Eurodisco singer.
Sung entirely in French, the song transcended the language barrier on the music charts and became an international success between 1986 and 1988, reaching the top position in more than ten countries across Europe.
Since "Voyage, voyage" is sung exclusively in French, its chart success came as a surprise as it managed the rare feat of becoming a success in several nations usually closed to Francophone songs and artists, such as the United Kingdom and Ireland. In West Germany, the song topped the chart, and has the longest chart trajectory of 1987 in the top 20. It also reached number one in Austria, Norway, and Spain. The song missed the top spot in France, peaking at number two for four weeks, behind Elsa Lunghini's "T'en va pas".
The song initially reached number 53 on the UK Singles Chart in November 1987. After being remixed by Pete Hammond and Pete Waterman of PWL, the song was re-released in the United Kingdom in the spring of 1988, and climbed to number five in June of that year. The song's success continued in Ireland, where it reached number four twice, the original version in November 1987, followed by the PWL remix in June 1988.
Later, the song was included on Desireless debut album, "François" (1989).

First re-release of the second full-length album by German Technical Thrash/Speed Metal band.
Formed by upcoming former of Century Media Records, Robert Kampf, and including in lineup so cult person as multi-instrumentalist and producer Waldemar Sorychta, Despair for sure can be named as one of the cult Old School Thrash Metal band.
Only active from 1986 to 1993, Despair brought their own version of high speed Technical Thrash Metal which brought two demos, two EPs and three full-length records, though a short run the band is still recognized as an inspiration to many bands as well as being a band favored by the Underground.
"Decay Of Humanity" was not exactly a vast improvement over Despair's debut but at least it showed some hints of progress even slightly. The better production makes this album sound heavier than its predecessor and the songwriting is somewhat more streamlined, thus resulting in a bit more listenable output. The tracks flow rather effortlessly throughout the album.
The first few tracks of the record will give the listener a great understanding as to what we can expect from the rest of the record, but at the same time bringing us into a world of technical riffs, which wrap so perfectly around the ears. This can certainly be said for the first track entitled "Decay Of Humanity" as we see the band use some smooth and very tight riffs mixed with a fantastic sound quality which compliments vocalist Andreas Henschel's voice perfectly while keeping every instrument in perfect match with one another. With the third track, "Delusion", we get a very strange mixture of sounds and styles, which for this record work perfectly giving something different for each song and a different experience for the listener in general. Though it can be said that the band have some really out there ideas when it came to creating these songs as there seems to be this pleasant weirdness, which can be admired by any guitar fan.
As we venture onward to the next track entitled "Victims Of Vanity", we start slower then the previous few tracks while at the same time building towards a larger scale sound which goes a bit chaotic in a good way show casing some very sinister riffs mixed with a hint of madness, but really this is what makes this track work and makes it stand out as with this track there is a lot more to observe and also learn from.
The record's main focus seems to be to be something different, but to also keep it as familiar as possible while adding new ideas which have a different vibe and forceful approach. This is accomplished through insane guitar and bass work to which complement the drum work of Markus Freiwald. And we go through this record the main thing that stands out is the guitar work of Marek Grzeszek and Waldemar Sorychta which a perfect combination of harmonies and ideas brought to life in the most perfect way.
This CD would be a gem for every Thrash Metal culture collector and maybe yours too!

Debut full-length album by the German Heavy Metal band.
It is compelling and dynamic album with varied compositions. Great riffs, moods, technical skill but most impressing is the vocal performance from Florian Reimann. Reviews have been calling them Germanys answer to Iron Maiden. It’s no problem to see why, Florian Reimanns voice and style often resemble Bruce Dickinson, and the twin guitar attack is not less lethal than that of two gentlemen by the names of Murray and Smith.
Recommended to anyone who loves Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden, Dark Avenger or early Edguy!!!

Re-release of the third full-length album by Australian Black/Thrash Metal band.
With their third album Deströyer 666 continued their steep climb in the favour of fans and critics alike. The still sound pretty good. The drums are accurate, the guitars are similarly unimpressive. Each instrument is clearly audible and nothing seems to dominate, which allows the music to be heard for what it is.
The Australian warmongers were received with praise like “Hail and kill indeed” in a 9/10 review from Terrorizer UK or described like “Deströyer 666 offer the best of their Black/Thrash know-how, refined with the usual Australian vice” in Rock Hard France (8/10). With time its impact even grew as Encyclopaedia Metallum now awards this album a 100% review twice, while saying: “Cold Steel is pretty much a perfect album. It is fast, intense, and aggressive and most of all, incredibly infectious”! Now this modern classic was re-released in an irresistible package.
Deströyer 666's 2002 album gets the reissue treatment just in time for its tenth anniversary. Re-edition contains new artwork, liner notes and bonus track "The Dragon". "The Dragon" was first recorded for the album's original release, but was never included on the finished product. The song was also featured on Season of Mist's "Apocalypse: Livre 66, Chapitre Premier" compilation as an untitled track.
This is clearly a must have for all Deströyer 666 fans!!!

Battalion Deströyer 666 has had their 2000 full-length regarded as one of the Black Metal genre's best records of all time by Decibel Magazine. The album appears in Decibel's new special issue focusing on the "Top 100 Black Metal Albums Of All Time".
With the release of their second album “Phoenix Rising” Deströyer 666 reached a new dimension. Terrorizer (UK) saw the Australian warriors enter “a new phase that mixes the best of old school barbarity with quality songwriting”. Dutch magazine Aardschok chimed into this praise by giving 90/100 points with many critics following suit. Yet time proved to be the real test for “Phoenix Rising” and the album passed this challenge with flying colours as it continued to sell since its original release late 2000. What follows, are three cover songs of German Heavy Metal legends Accept, American Thrash Metal icons Metallica and British Rock 'n' Roll sensation Motörhead. Destruction has managed to make all three songs sound like their very own. They are aggressive, fast, rough and best enjoyed in concert. Despite all the anger, frustration and liberation felt in these performances, Destruction still oozes with great fun as it becomes obvious to listeners that the chemistry in this band is excellent and that its four members really enjoy playing together as well.
Closing tune, "Nailed To The Cross", has been recorded live and underlines the quartet's excellent quality at concerts and festivals. The great thing about Destruction is that its live performances convincingly equal the quality of the studio efforts and at times even outclass them.
