Remastered re-release of the eight full-length studio album by legendary American Heavy Metal band.
"Magica" was released in 2000 on CD by Spitfire Records (a division of Eagle Rock Entertainment) and marks the return of guitarist Craig Goldy, who also has performed on Dio's album "Dream Evil" and in the later release "Master Of The Moon".
The album was originally planned to be the first part of a trilogy of concept albums, and shortly before beginning his tour with Heaven & Hell, Dio announced his intention to start the "Magica II" and "III" album after the tour's end, but he died shortly after of stomach cancer on May 16, 2010. The only song released from "Magica II" was titled "Electra".
While "Magica" did not spawn any major hits for the band’s impressive catalogue, it still stands among Dio’s most intelligent and seminal works. It is certainly an album that meant a great deal to Dio personally.
All the tracks were penned by Ronnie and long-time guitarist, Craig Goldy. The story is of good and evil; past, present, and future. The lyrical content is filled with bold imagery and colourful allegory. In short, everything we have always loved about Dio’s Metal aura lives and breathes in "Magica".
2019 remaster features bonus disc with two studio tracks and nine live tracks, recorded on The Magica Tour 2001.

When Dio's debut album "Holy Diver" landed on the shelves of music stores, people were absolutely blown away by it. The guitar harmonies, Ronnie James Dio's pitch-perfect tenor, and amazingly well done song compositions were all unbelievably good and stand tall even till this day. Dio shows his devil's horns to the universe once again with his second album. His unique sounding vocals dominating each and every song. There are a lot of similarities to "Holy Diver", but there are some subtle differences, too. The end result is almost equally impressive, though, and "The Last In Line" stands as one of the highlights of Dio's career.
The first thing when listening to this release was the fact that the songs are much faster. The opener "We Rock" is one of the best openers you ever heard. It just takes hold of you and rocks the hell out of you. The riffs by Vivian Campbell are very well done again, this time taking on more of a 80s Metal approach, than the Rock influenced guitar riffs we heard on "Holy Diver". His guitar work really shows his abilities to draw you in to his leads and solos. Dio's vocals are amazing as always. He sings with a lot of emotion and instantly makes every song have a memorable chorus, which is always important for this type of Metal.
The production, considering the time and the technology available, is excellent. You can hear all the instruments perfectly at all times.
The album was certified Gold (500000 units sold) by the RIAA on September 12, 1984, and was the first Dio album to be certified Platinum, achieving the feat on February 3, 1987. In the UK, it attained Silver certification (60000 units sold) by the British Phonographic Industry, achieving this in January 1986, at the same time as “Holy Diver”.
This is an album of classic Metal greatness, well worthy of the attention of any fan of Speed, Power, Progressive or traditional Metal.

The 14th full-length album by the cult American Sleazy Hard Rock band.
Founded in the early 80s by Dutch-born Hendrik Ostergaard, Dirty Looks released three albums on three different independent labels before achieving a major contract with Atlantic Records in 1987. Ostergaard handled both vocals and guitar, ably supported by Paul Lidel (guitar), Jack Pyers (bass) and Gene Barnett (drums). Their major label debut, "Cool From The Wire", showed the band to be purveyors of straight-ahead, no-nonsense Power Metal very much in the AC/DC mould. Both the crushing style of guitar riffing and the vocal delivery of Ostergaard made comparisons with the Australian supremos inevitable. However, such was the energy and commitment the band brought to recording and live performances that their indebtness quickly became forgivable. The follow-up, "Turn Of The Screw", was not as successful, despite critical acclaim. "Bootlegs" saw the band presenting the same style of relentless Power/Boogie, albeit with a return to a smaller label.
With the band having been relatively dormant for years, really since the late 90's, suddenly singer/guitarist Henrik Ostergaard and various ex and new members of the band have been putting out a slew of new material.
"California Free Ride" is one the latest weapons in the band's arsenal explodes with ten tracks of killer tunes guaranteed to blow away the Fall/Winter Blues with a heavy dose of down and dirty Hard Rock power. The production is Rockin' and filthy enough to apply to both e.g. AC/DC or The Cult fans and - on the other edge - Sleazin' followers of the American or Scandinavian scene. The album was mastered by Anthony Focx (Ace Frehley, Foreigner, Bang Tango, Beautivul Creatures, Buckcherry).
As soon as Dirty Looks got back on the road in 2007 they seem to work hard on continuous new material. Filtering their own legacy, their love for AC/DC and what's hot today in the Sleaze Rock scene, truth is "California Free Ride" proves to be a remarkably good album in the typical formulas of the genre. Second full-length album by Mexican Thrash Metal band.
With 2nd release band came back faster, louder, aggressive, and ready to kick some asses. They create a very interesting Thrash Metal with some sprinkles of Speed Metal, and the use (an abuse) painful guitar riffs inside totally twisted tempo changes, and complex sections. Guitar work on this second album sounds cleaner, and more solid. Both dudes have full technique and played interesting stuff, like the twin guitars on final section of “Chaos and Violence”. Also, they offer truly examples of Speed Metal forged in the deepest place of Hell, like “Heaven’s Hate” which is a totally holocaustic song delivering excellent guitar riffs, like a cut throat. Another aspect to underline is the absolutely killer voice of Steve, who has improved since the last album and did a truly venomous work. Aggressive as mad dog, he definitely is the perfect piece to complete this holocaustic puzzle. This CD is an excellent example of the new wave of Thrash Metal in Mexico. Don’t miss these motherfuckers on stage, they are awesome!!

First EP by Italian Horror/Doom/Black Metal band.
Disharmonic is an Italian Occult Ritualistic Doom Metal band born in 1998. It was founded by the drummer Lord Daniel Omungus and the guitarist Sir.Robert Baal. The intention was to bring in a scene something innovative for the place and play something really sulphurous.
In 2003 they recorded what would have been the end of the first era, "The Black Dance of Evil Spirits", then all died (or so it seemed)...
By the will of the founders Lord Daniel and Sir. Robert continued to work in a chimera, "Carmini Mortis", the natural evolution of the style of the band. The album came out much later in 2011, with a renewed line-up. The advent of the prophet Isaia and the voice of Baron Von Hayden on bass gave new sap the band.
But the chimera is not yet complete! In 2014, "Il Rituale dei Non Morti" out in 12" EP + CD format, to complete the session work and concept of the previous album"Carmines Mortis". "Il Rituale Dei Non Morti" translate "The Ritual Of The Undead", and it's a Ritualistic Dark Doom Metal Opera!

Debut full-length album by Italian Death/Black Metal/Metalcore band.
Not bad at all for a debut album. This is an Italian band that has been active since 2004 and it seems like they’ve been scratching their balls or something because they only have a demo in 2005 and the full-length album released in 2013. Dismal Faith used attitudes from more extreme genres such as Death, Black, Thrash, Nu, HC, Metalcore and Groove, which gave birth to 9 tracks of homogeneous intention, but heterogeneous style: sharp guitars, granitic bass lines, warlike drumming, at the service of a without scruples vocal performance.
The genre is another proactive, aggressive and Metal Corished hybrid that sounds pretty good and effective for moments. Actually, they have truly heavy moments and they know how to drive from different sections from side to side and don’t sound boring. The band sounds good on specific moments and besides the mask of Hardcore/Metal band, there is a crude perspective of 90’s Death Metal fans which would become a marvel if they just focus on a purest side of the genre.
“Morph” crafted to fully reproduce the "sonic wall of aggression" that the band unleash on the crowd during their live shows, making them in a short span of time, one of the most interesting acts of the whole underground scene! Very good album and solid album!!

The debut full-length studio album by legendary Swedish Death Metal band.
The album is considered to be a classic in the Death Metal genre and one of the crucial documents of the early 90s Swedish Death Metal scene. Alongside Entombed, Grave and Unleashed, this debut album didn't just help place Swedish Death Metal on the map, it took the flag and slammed it through a lifeless corpse, unveiling the blue and yellow.
The album makes use of heavily distorted and down tuned guitar and bass riffing. The drumming is influenced by Punk Rock in Discharge way.
For many fans of Dismember, "Like An Ever Flowing Stream" is often regarded as not just their favourite Dismember album, but also one of the best Death Metal albums of all time. In 2010, the album was inducted into Decibel magazine's Hall of Fame.

The sixth full-length studio album by legendary Swedish Death Metal band.
The band was formed by Robert Sennebäck, David Blomqvist and Fred Estby in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1988 and has long since been regarded as one of the originators of the trademark Swedish Death Metal sound, next to other pioneering bands such as Entombed, Grave and Unleashed.
Four years after the release of the controversial "Hate Campaign" album, which marked the longest break in their discography, Dismember makes a triumphant return with an album that reaches new heights of greatness. In contrast to their Swedish counterparts, Entombed, who displayed signs of decline after their first three albums, Dismember managed to maintain a consistently high standard throughout their career.
2004s "Where Ironcrosses Grow" seamlessly picks up where their 1997 effort "Death Metal" left off. Despite the absence of guitarist Robert Sennebäck, who departed the band after 'Death Metal', the return of Richard Cabeza to the line-up propelled Dismember to deliver yet another outstanding album.
Matti Kärki's vocals are nothing short of phenomenal. They stand at the pinnacle of maturity, sounding deep and brutal, reminiscent of Dismember's early works. They go along perfectly with the lyrics, which continue to revolve around familiar themes such as death, war, and misanthropy. David Blomqvist on guitars once again demonstrates the significant influence of Iron Maiden on the band. While this influence is more evident than ever in this album, it doesn't compromise the brutality and sheer aggression that define Dismember's sound. On the contrary, the melodic leads and solos, strategically placed throughout the album, provide a perfect counterpoint to the heavy, chainsaw-like HM-2 guitar tone — the trademark sound in the entirety of Swedish death metal scene. Songs like "Tragedy of the Faithful" or "Sword of Light" are perfect examples of the marriage between the rotten Death Metal sound of Autopsy and the harmonious melodies of Iron Maiden.
Richard Cabeza, one of the primary songwriters for the band, returns after a two-year hiatus and is back on duty. His absence was apparent in the previous release 'Hate Campaign', which, although a decent album, failed to meet the established standards for a Dismember release. Fortunately, his contribution to this album comes with a renewed sense of creativity and energy. Fred Estby's contribution to the album is undoubtedly essential for its overall success. As the driving force behind Dismember, Estby's immaculate drumming, songwriting, and lyrical contributions are evident. Moreover, serving as the album's producer, Estby has excelled in capturing a muddy and heavy production reminiscent of Dismember's debut album. This production aligns seamlessly with the dark, abyssal atmosphere that brings Dismember back to their roots and to their original sound.
In summary, this album is criminally underrated. It marks a great return for Dismember, setting the stage for the subsequent two releases.
Between 1988 and 2008 Dismember earned a notorious reputation as the “Motörhead version of Death Metal”, through eight classic albums and furious live shows around the globe.  After an eight-year hiatus, the band's original line-up reunited for a 30th anniversary gig at Scandinavia Death Fest in October 2019, performing together for the first time in over 20 years. Since then, the band has remained active playing festivals and shows all around the globe, relaunching their impressive back catalogue and working on new material.

The seventh full-length studio album by American Modern Heavy Metal band.
The band's first album in over three years and the band's first album in over eight years to involve bass guitarist John Moyer. 
Disturbed became one of the biggest Metal acts of all time with only two tools in their arsenal: knowing what people want and how to deliver it to them. Disturbed have updated their image slightly this time, with David Draiman ditching those chin rings after saying they made him feel like "a 45-year old Hot Topic kid." The new album is called "Evolution", after all, so no point looking back!
After the runaway success of the Simon and Garfunkel cover on 2015's "Immortalized", it's hard to guess what Disturbed might have up their sleeves next. "Evolution" doesn't include any covers, but it does contain some of the boldest musical choices Disturbed have made in their multi-decade career. Frontman David Draiman stated that the writing and recording of the album was influenced by Classic Rock that members have listened to in their youth. Guitarist Dan Donegan stated that the album's title was representative of their goal on the album, to challenge themselves to evolve their sound.
By splitting their allegiances, the risk is that Disturbed won’t please either type of fan. The good news is that, despite their overwrought qualities, each slow song is boosted by those impressive vocals, while the heavier ones boast choruses as hooky as his former chin piercings (he’s removed them as he feels too old for them). This is without doubt the most diverse record in Disturbed’s catalogue, and it remains to be seen whether it’s a transition into a new, ‘grown up’ career, or an interesting experiment. The heavy songs on "Evolution" should please longtime fans, with a couple harkening back to the dynamism of Disturbed’s first couple of albums. "Evolution" certainly doesn't sound like anything they've done before. At best, "Evolution" could add a few more bangers to their roster.
The album is a tribute to deceased Heavy Metal musicians such as Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Vinnie Paul of Pantera, with whom Disturbed were friends and toured with over the years.
It's debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, making it Disturbed's sixth straight top 5 album. It is the band's first album since "The Sickness" not to reach number one, thus ending the band's streak of number one albums at five.

Second full-length album by Finnish Melodic Death/Gothic Metal band.
Combined with a very powerful production the whole thing results in a very interesting, variable and at times surprisingly heavy Gothic Metal album, which lets the lines between the genres blur here and there. Some might be put off a bit by the partly typical Gothic Metal voice, others by the harsher vocals, but exactly that lets DIVERCIA stand out of the mainstream and that already is worth something. CD includes video-clip of the song “Overwhelming”.

The album was mixed and mastered in Hertz Studio as well.
An interesting bit is definitely the guest appearance of Wojciech Hoffmann from the band Turbo on the title track. The musician, an icon of Polish Rock and Metal scene, played an exceptional solo, which certainly gives the song an additional bite.
"Tears Of The Ages" it's 50 minutes of real Metal music comprising tradition and modernity. Strong but melodic riffs along the lines of the genre classics like Iron Maiden, Saxon and Judas Priest. The sound is modern, powerful and elaborate, carrying the echoes of the pioneers' heirs, such as Primal Fear. Each piece is complemented by a number of juicy solos, and high-pitched melodic vocals are a flagship of this material. If we add fantasy themed and existential lyrics, then we receive a full picture of a varied, feisty and ambitious album!
This is a great album with rapid fire drums and shredding guitar solos that leaves you wanting more!!
Highly recommended for fans of: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Primal Fear and Helloween!!!
