Specificity of the genre moving away from Black Metal and firmly sits in the vast Dark Metal. However, this does not necessarily indicate a lack of an album, and in fact, dignity thanks shattered musical cliches full-off experiments. Electronic samples, the soft sound of flutes, percussion in the eastern style of performance, vocals bursting from screaming/growling to romantic-gothic, midtempo drums, keyboards ... accelerate air support, easy perception of the album and a rich palette of colors gives the sound of his unique artistic taste. The special charm of the album is hidden in the native language of musicians, lyrics which can be heard in 50 percent of the total material. Album strange chopped in half, like a fragment torn from suffering ... sometimes you can feel the violent moments close to Death Metal.

The third DVD by legendary German Heavy Metal singer, Doro Pesch, and she’s band.
20 years of Doro - that needed to be celebrated! The Metal Queen invited the superstars of the genre to Düsseldorf, for her big stage anniversary. And everyone came and rocked the sold-out concert with Doro: Lemmy Kilmister and Mikkey Dee (Motörhead), Biff Byford and his band Saxon, Blaze Bailey (Iron Maiden), Udo Dirkschneider and many more...
The first DVD contains a movie, shot during the tour, supporting the release of the album "Warrior Soul" in 2006. It features also a selection of commented songs from the special concert, held at Phillips Halle in Düsseldorf, Germany on 13 December 2003, celebrating 20 years of career of the singer, with many guests, and footage of the party after the show. The movie segment is an actual German theatrical release. This film gives fans an inside look into the life and culture that is Doro and her band. DVD includes celebrity interviews from some of music’s most legendary performers, like Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Tom Angelripper (Sodom), as well as many members of Doro’s original band Warlock.
The second DVD features the full 20th anniversary concert. Doro herself is absolutely beautiful on stage and her band is phenomenal. All the musicians put on a great stage show and really move to get the crowd motivated into a true Metal frenzy.
From a production standpoint, the audio quality is top-notch and the layout of the DVD set makes perfect sense. The disc does not include extras per se, but that is probably because the concert footage is so extensive; there really isn’t much to add. With hours and hours of coverage, "20 Years: A Warrior Soul" is enough to satisfy the appetite of the most Metal-hungry headbanger!

The fourth full-length studio album by Ukrainian Oldschool Melodic Death Metal band.
Music has become hevier, more brutal and faster. Although the team is still focused on the European Melodic Death Metal, it is now much less like their senior colleagues from Scandinavia than 5-10 years ago . Speedy riffs, break, guitar intro or solo and again speed drive... Each instrument took that place what is exactly most logical would take .
This album proves that musicians in the prime of life, and who knows, maybe after his formal declaration about split-up, Flying will again reunite, as they have already done once. Many fans are really waiting for this resurrection!

Russian edition of the sixth full-length album by cult Russian Industrial Groove Modern Death Metal band.
“Lifelong Days” is basically overflowing with interesting song ideas. Grenouer even seems more than capable of shifting the band's entire personality within individual songs in order to make it sound more enthusiastic and interesting. There are noticeable influences from outright Death Metal in some moments while at other times, when the song requires it, they send out a Groovier almost Nu Metal vibe. This is quite obviously a heavier offering than “Computer Crime”. There are borderline brutal moments of double-bass kicks and a veritable abundance deep, heavy detuned guitar riffs. The album plays for 46 minutes, and every second is a joy to listen to. Even the production is fantastic. The band sounds absolutely massive with a good sizzle on the guitars to keep things firmly on the Metal side of the term "Nu Metal." If you dig really groovy modernized Metal with a hint of good Death Metal, you can go with Grenouer!!

The third full-length studio album by Finnish Thrash Metal band.
If ever you needed proof that the future of Thrash Metal is safe in the hands of the younger generation of bands seeking to re-invigorate the genre, then this third album from madcap Finns Lost Society is it.
The young quartet first emerged into the collective Metal conscience with their debut, the suitably anarchically entitled "Fast Loud Death" – a remarkably accomplished offering considering it was released while its four protagonists were still in their teens. Less than a year later, they pummelled reviewers and fans alike into submission with their follow up, the wonderfully loopy "Terror Hungry", which was as damn fine an exemplar of don’t-give-a-f*ck old-fashioned Thrash Metal as you were likely to come across at the time until now!
"Braindead" very much picks up where the Helsinki mob left off a little under two years, but also clearly demonstrates their growing maturity, both as musicians and songwriters. Their stall is set out from the debut single, "I Am The Antidote", with its huge chugging riff, which leads first into a winding melody and then Samy Elbanna’s snapping, snarling vocal. Its mean and broody, building slowly and inexorably, turning and twisting back on itself and show a great sense of the use of atmospherics.
"Riot" is the first real neck-snapper, starting off almost in the vein of Motorhead’s "The Game" before introducing elements of Hardcore and Nu Metal to its thick riff and hypnotic beat. Eblanna more raps and screams his lyrics rather than singing them, but this helps to add to the feeling that this will be a real pit opener when the band take it on the road later this month. "Mad Torture" gives a passing nod to Anthrax, with its staccato riff, tumbling melody and furious pace, while "Hollow Eyes" sees them ease off the pedal a tad, building a dense, layered sound around another simply effective riff, which helps to build a sense of lurking menace, before developing into a lengthy double guitar workout in its second half.
"Rage Me Up" is a positively rabid slice of out-and-out Thrash, again infused with elements of Nu Metal, especially in the vocal department, and has a loose feel to it, which adds to its energy and excitement.
"Only (My) Death Is Certain" sees them easing the pace back again; musically, it possesses a "Master Of Puppets" era Metallica vibe, from the slowly building atmospheric intro to the dark, chugging main riff and the underpinning rolling base line and precise, snapping percussive support. It also uses vocal harmonies to good effect, adding a dense melody to Eblanna’s throat shredding vocal.
The rather weirdly titled closer "P.S.T88" is another nod over their collective shoulders to the mid- to late-Eighties Crossover era, but it’s also one of the more straightforward tracks and an acidic end to this fine, in places challenging, opus.
"Braindead" is a massive step forward for Lost Society. It may confuse, and indeed annoy, some fans for its stepping away from the basic heads-down-see-you-at-the-end Thrash style of their first two albums, and its divergence into, and incorporation of, different and diverse sub-genres. But, then, that’s what progression is all about. The band are very conscious of the origins of Thrash Metal, but also of the way in which it has always experimented and sought to evolve and re-invent itself as a genre. They may not manage this single-handedly, but they certainly will be an essential element of the new generation of Thrashers seeking to attain this goal and bring this style of music to a newer audience!!

The tenth full-length album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
"Generation Nothing" marks the return to the band's classic Metal sound. Says founding member Kurdt Vanderhoof: "It has elements of both the first album and the "The Dark", but still embraces the new sound of the band without chasing the past". This album is band's first after their late 2012 reunion, and their fourth to featured vocalist Ronny Munroe.
Born out of the West Coast Metal scene in the 80's, Metal Church quickly became one of the standout talents of their genre. The band's first release simply entitled "Metal Church" postured the band as one of the pioneers of the Thrash Metal scene, while their sophomore release "The Dark” was championed as one of the premier Metal releases of the 80's.
Since Howe's departure when the band originally folded in 1994 Metal Church's line-up has been unstable at best. This instability accounts for the band's less than spectacular outings. The man holding the band together is guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof who has finally stabilized the line-up throughout the course of the past couple recordings. Now with the current band’s line-up, "Generation Nothing" combines the best elements of the band’s early roots with modern day lyrical content and a revived hunger that delivers an electric assault of anthemic & epic Metal songs.
Metal Church has always released amazing studio albums (the abominable "Masterpeace" being the lone exception) but never quite has been able to get the recognition that they have so long deserved. Now we can hope that "Generation Nothing" can change the critical reception for the band because it is not only one of the best Metal albums of the 2013 calendar year, it is one of the best Metal Church albums ever! All Hail The Metal Church!!
