Debut full-length album by Spanish Melodic Death/Thrash/Metalcore band.
A lot of time and hard work have given band’s result in this debut album that has been recorded and produced in Mallorca (Balearyc Islands) at Psychosomatic Recording Studio. Stylistically the music hard to describe and classify. The quintet plays Melodic Metal with a lot of clean vocals , but also a lot of screams and growls some specifically used. The verses are usually hard, but can never miss melodies and choruses in contrast, often catchy and very melodic.
Melodic Metal with a touch of 80's - 90's Thrash, in conjunction with an exceptional vocal performance, define this whole masterpiece. Deep emotional lyrics have been specially written for the songs treating themes like anguish, fear, despair, rage, love... all sort of feelings that take place in human nature. “Behind The Walls Of Reality” exposes the thoughts of human mind in order to retrieve some kind of inner peace through the music.
Rough guitar riffs with solos that would take anyone to another level of consciousness, aggressive bass lines, raw drums and powerful vocals with amazing melodic parts make this album a complex mixture of different music styles that characterize Bleed The Man's essence making this recording a “must have” for all Metal fans!

The whole thing reeks of reference bands as Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Vader and all those beasts from back in the day. Of course their influences are imprinted really well in their music and no one will get bothered by a track reminding Cannibal Corpse or another reminding of Deicide. On the contrary. They are filtered so well to make em their own, forming their own style in the genre. All gets tied up together in a great packaging.

Bleeding Gods are a band that combine Death and Thrash Metal to great results.
The band was formed back in 2012 by Ramon Ploeg when he left his former band Houwister. The lineup also features members of Sinister, Debauchery, Altar and more.
Outside of the acoustic piece that appears as the fifth track, the 9 other cuts focus on a Groovy concoction of heavy riffs, growly (but discernable) vocals and tempos that range from up beat Thrash and blasting action to solid Metal parts that force audiences to elevate adrenaline to unforeseen levels.
Meat and potatoes cuts like "Abyss of the World", the Slayer-esque "Rise from Ashes", and hauntingly evil "Human Weakness" serve notice that this quintet is perfectly content to just keep their sound at the roots of the movement - not overly technical but crushing just the same. The final song "Symbolic Sculptures has a lot of rhythmic qualities both vocally and musically to the early Obituary years during the first half of the song, before Edwin van den Eeden elevates his drumming to Punk-like Thrash madness with some Lombardo-like kick fills.
This is a great first album for this band. They clearly have a strong idea of what they want to sound like, and they have the musicianship and talent to bring that to life. If you like Thrash-infused Death Metal, then "Shepherd Of Souls" will definitely turn you into a part of this bands ever-growing flock!

The second full-length studio album by German Progressive Rock/Metal band.
Blind Ego is a side project of Kalle Wallner, guitarist of RPWL. Just as in Blind Ego’s first album, "Mirror", Wallner asked Paul Wrightson (ex-Arena) to do the vocals. John Jowitt (IQ) and Sebastian Harnack (Sylvan) play the bass, and drummer Michael Schwager (Dreamscape) completes the line-up.
With the second album, Kalle Wallner - the rather Prog-savvy musician, chose for a mixture of Prog Rock and Prog Metal. As a result, "Numb" is a very good Progressive album. This album is a sensible development since the emotional debut album “Mirror”, a clear snapshot of overwhelming feelings – always straight and Rock. All songs are vital, melodious and have nice choruses. Some songs start mysteriously with sounds capes, while others grasp you straight by the throat. "Risk" is the only short acoustic ballad on the album, well sung by Wrightson. Although "Numb" is a heavy album, there is enough variation. Yogi Lang (RPWL) did a perfect job on the album – a crystal clear production with a modern sound.
With special guest appearances, such as of Igor Cavalera (Sepultura), this album is an absolutely must-have for fans of solid Metal!

Remastered re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary German Epic Speed/Power Metal band.
In comparison to their compatriots, their sophomore release can be considered underrated compared to the rest of their discography. Granted, it is still an important album in the early formative years of Power Metal. On "Battalions Of Fear" they had a raw proto-Power Metal sound, taking the template from bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and simply playing it faster. They took this Speed Metal sound and amplified it further on "Follow The Blind", playing furious tempo songs interspersed with the occasional Folky keyboard. The Speed Metal here is almost Thrash Metal-like, minus the aggression. According to guitarist Marcus Siepen, "When we were doing "Follow The Blind", we were listening to a lot of Thrash Metal bands like Testament or Forbidden, and that's why "Follow The Blind" was a bit heavier".
"Follow The Blind" shows Power Metal in its early hybrid stages. There is a lot of youthful vitality and energy here, which helps to balance out their relative inexperience. It is clear that this early in their career they have not reached their songwriting or lyrical capacity, but they still offer over 38 minutes of pure fun Speedy mayhem!
Re-edition features four bonus tracks from the Lucifer's Heritage era.

Debut and only full-length album by the British Melodic Death/Thrash Metal band.
Combination of Groove-infected passages, occasional Thrash melodies and Metalcore breakdowns. An album firmly rooted in the Modern Metal slipstream, it nonetheless packs sufficient aggression, complexity and old-school touches to ensure an audience way beyond mallrats with bad haircuts. Vox are the usual throat lacerating variety, although higher-pitched Trivium-style vocals are adopted for the last two songs. This shift is inexplicable as these songs do not otherwise differ significantly from the preceding eight numbers (with the exception of the instrumental "Solitude" - no relation to the Black Sabbath song).
It should be patently clear that there are many bands indulging in a similar style, but Boltdown's attempt is solid enough to hold its own against many other up and comers!!

“Bounce” was heavily influenced by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, owing in part to Jon Bon Jovi's proximity to New York. The title "Bounce" was a reference to New York City's and the United States' ability to bounce back from the World Trade Center attacks as a nation.
Given that Bon Jovi successfully pulled off a comeback in 2000 with "Crush", a shiny Pop album pitched directly at the mainstream, it's kind of a surprise that they returned two years later with a record as turgid as "Bounce". Instead of continuing the colorful blueprint of "Crush", they fearlessly backpedal, turning out dull, heavy, serious rock - the kind of music that sounds "serious" even when it's about trivial things. Of course, much of the record is given over to "serious" topics, as if the band felt that the events of 2001 necessitated a grave response for "Bounce", regardless of what they were singing. Such sobriety would not have been a problem if the band had solid material, but they're not only lacking songs, they've inexplicably altered their musical approach. In particular, guitarist Richie Sambora sounds as if he's aping James Hetfield's lumbering downstrokes throughout the album, giving the record an oppressively heavy sound that never lets the music breathe. This casts a pall over the record, but this stumble is not the sole reason "Bounce" is such a misstep for the band. After all, this is a record where Bon Jovi seems to have consciously decided to avoid everything that gives their music character, melody, and muscle, a move that would have been odd at any point during their career, but is particularly puzzling after they delivered an album that found them growing old gracefully. It's as if they want to undo everything "Crush" did for them.
The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, making it Bon Jovi's highest debut in the band's history at that time.

Remastered re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock/Soft Metal band.
Despite the moderate success of "7800° Fahrenheit", Bon Jovi weren't becoming the superstars they had hoped, and they changed their approach for their next album, going for a more mainstream sound than their heavier first two records. "Slippery When Wet" wasn't just a breakthrough album for Bon Jovi; it was a breakthrough for Hair Metal in general, marking the point where the genre officially entered the mainstream. Released in 1986, it presented a streamlined combination of Pop, Hard Rock and Metal, that appealed to everyone - especially girls, whom traditional Heavy Metal often ignored.
Hiring professional songwriter Desmond Child as a collaborator, the band wrote 30 songs and auditioned them for local New Jersey and New York teenagers, basing the album's running order on their opinions. Much of the album's content was written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, except "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Without Love" and "I'd Die For You", which were co-written by Desmond Child.
The album went through various name changes during its inception. The main working title was "Wanted Dead Or Alive"; later the band decided to name the album "Slippery When Wet" after visiting The Number 5 Orange Stripclub in Vancouver. "Slippery When Wet" was an instant commercial success. The album features songs that are today considered Bon Jovi's most well-known tracks, such as "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive".
Between 1986 and 1987, "Slippery When Wet" produced an amazing string of hit singles, including three Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits, two of which ("You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Livin' On A Prayer") reached No. 1, making Bon Jovi the first Hard Rock band to ever have two consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 chart hits. The third single "Wanted Dead or Alive" peaked at No. 7, making "Slippery When Wet" the first Hard Rock album to spawn three Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits.
The album spent eight weeks at #1 on the Billboard album chart. It also had impressive staying power, with 38 weeks inside the Top 5 of Billboard 200, including 8 weeks at No. 1. "Slippery When Wet" was the best-selling album of 1987 in the United States, and eventually reached Diamond certification by the RIAA and current sales stand at 12 million copies, making it the 48th best-selling album in the United States. In the UK, "Slippery When Wet" received a 3x Platinum certification by the BPI. The album also achieved Diamond status in Canada and 6x Platinum status in Australia. It was ranked 44th in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of the Definitive 200 albums of all time. As of 2014, "Slippery When Wet" is the band's best-selling album to date, with an RIAA certification of twelve times Platinum, and reportedly over 25 million copies sold worldwide. The album is featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

The eighth full-length album by the German Power Metal band.
A lot of things have changed in Metal since 1989, the year in which Brainstorm's original lineup came together. Alternative Metal became much more prominent, Death Metal and Black Metal became more and more plentiful (especially in Scandinavia), Goth Metal gained an enthusiastic cult following, and Metalcore took the Metal/Punk union in an increasingly vicious direction. But none of those developments have had a major stylistic impact on Brainstorm, who were a Melodic Power Metal band when they started out in 1989 and continued to be a Melodic Power Metal band 20 years later on "Memorial Roots"!
Once again, the South German Power Metal quintet pulls no punches as they bash out a firework of dynamic, melodic and technical Metal. They make no effort to change with the times on this 2009 release; obviously, they reason that if it isn't broke, why do they need to fix it? And no, it isn't broke. "Memorial Roots" is a tad predictable - at least if one has been following Brainstorm for a long time - and you won't find a lot of surprises on "Cross the Line", "Ahimsa", or any of the other tracks. Brainstorm maintain their allegiance to the old-school Power Metal of the '70s and '80s, which is probably just as well because even though "Memorial Roots" doesn't take a lot of chances, the material is enjoyable nonetheless.
Besides, if Jazz, the Blues, Salsa, Folk, Bluegrass, Reggae, and Celtic music can have their classicists - that is, those who adamantly cling to the styles of a previous era - there is no reason at all why Metal shouldn't have them as well. "Memorial Roots" isn't an essential listen, but it's definitely a worthwhile listen for Power Metal diehards who haven't lost interest in Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, or Fates Warning's pre-'90s recordings and probably never will! Less aggressive than its predecessor "Downburst", the new album has a more straightforward and anthemic quality to it!!

Whatever its title may suggest, there's nothing about Germanic Heavy Metal band Brainstorm that would imply a spur of the moment decision; the band's timeless regeneration of traditional Heavy Metal is evidently arranged, performed, recorded, and produced with meticulous planning and attention to detail. But whatever the band may lack in spontaneous combustion, they rather make up for in clinical efficiency, which may not impress unconverted observers much, but is clearly something their established fan base has not only continued to support but very much come to expect: that's right, the expected. Be that as it may, since nothing is ever guaranteed where memorable songwriting is concerned, Brainstorm deserve much credit for keeping things relatively interesting within the confines of their limited musical range.
