The album peaked at number 71 on the US Billboard 200, though it fared better internationally, reaching the top 10 in Sweden and Switzerland, and the top 15 in Norway.
The album's lead Single, "Spanish Eddie", earned Branigan her sixth top-40 entry in two and a half years, peaking at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was moderately successful outside the United States. Subsequent Singles "Hold Me" and "I Found Someone" failed to make an impact, peaking at numbers 82 and 90 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. Nevertheless, "Hold Me" reached number 39 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart, while "I Found Someone" reached number 25 on the Hot Adult Contemporary chart.
The track "When the Heat Hits the Streets" was used in a television advertising campaign for the Chrysler Laser, with Chrysler serving as a sponsor for Branigan's 1985–1986 Hold Me tour (a Chrysler Laser was prominently displayed in the "Spanish Eddie" music video).

Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric Blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar Rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the band's attack was subtlety: it wasn't just an onslaught of guitar noise, it was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos. As Led Zeppelin proves, the band was capable of such multi-layered music from the start. Although the extended Psychedelic Blues of "Dazed and Confused", "You Shook Me" and "I Can't Quit You Baby" often gather the most attention, the remainder of the album is a better indication of what would come later. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" shifts from Folky verses to pummeling choruses; "Good Times Bad Times" and "How Many More Times" have Groovy, Bluesy shuffles; "Your Time Is Gonna Come" is an anthemic Hard Rocker; "Black Mountain Side" is pure English Folk; and "Communication Breakdown" is a frenzied Rocker with a nearly Punkish attack. Although the album isn't as varied as some of their later efforts, it nevertheless marked a significant turning point in the evolution of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal!
Although the album initially received negative reviews, it was commercially very successful and has now come to be regarded in a much more positive light by critics. In 2003, the album was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. When Rolling Stone updated the list in 2012 the album remained ranked at 29th greatest of all time!!

First European remastered re-release of the fifth full-length studio album by legendary British Blues/Hard Rock band.
The album represents a turning point in musical direction for the band, who had begun to record songs with more layering and production techniques, in contrast to the simpler Rock music heard on earlier albums. The album benefited from several band members installing studios at home, which allowed them to develop more sophisticated songs and arrangements, and expand their musical style.
Houses of the Holy follows the same basic pattern as "Led Zeppelin IV", but the approach is looser and more relaxed. Jimmy Page's riffs rely on ringing; Folky hooks as much as they do on thundering Blues Rock, giving the album a lighter, more open atmosphere. While the pseudo-Reggae of "D'Yer Mak'er" and the affectionate James Brown send-up "The Crunge" suggest that the band was searching for material, they actually contribute to the musical diversity of the album. "The Rain Song" is one of Zeppellin's finest moments, featuring a soaring string arrangement and a gentle, aching melody. "The Ocean" is just as good, starting with a heavy, Funky guitar groove before slamming into a cappella section and ending with a swinging, doo wop-flavored rave-up. With the exception of the rampaging opening number, "The Song Remains the Same", the rest of "Houses Of The Holy" is fairly straightforward, ranging from the foreboding "No Quarter" and the strutting Hard Rock of "Dancing Days" to the epic Folk/Metal fusion "Over the Hills and Far Away". Throughout the record, the band's playing is excellent, making the eclecticism of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant's songwriting sound coherent and natural.
Several songs subsequently became fixtures in the band's live set, including "The Song Remains the Same", "The Rain Song" and "No Quarter". Other material recorded at the sessions, including the title track, was shelved and released on the later albums "Physical Graffiti" and "Coda".
In 1974, the album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Album Package. The cover was rated #6 on VH1's 50 Greatest Album Covers in 2003.
Although critical response was mixed, "Houses Of The Holy" became a commercial success and topped the UK charts, and spent 39 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, including two weeks at number one (their longest stint since Led Zeppelin III). It was later certified 11x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1999. In 2012, the album was ranked at #148 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Marshalling their strength after the dark interlude of "Presence" - a period that extended far after its 1976 release, with the band spending a year in tax exile and Robert Plant suffering another personal tragedy when his son died - Led Zeppelin decided to push into new sonic territory on their eighth album.
In contrast to previous Led Zeppelin albums, "In Through The Out Door" features much greater influence on the part of bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones and vocalist Robert Plant, and relatively less from drummer John Bonham and guitarist Jimmy Page, who often failed to show up on time at the recording studio. Bonham was struggling with alcoholism and Page was battling heroin addiction. Jones later said, "there were two distinct camps by then, and we (Plant and I) were in the relatively clean one." Many of the songs were consequently put together by Plant and Jones during the day, with Page and Bonham adding their parts late at night. Jones was inspired by the Yamaha GX-1 synthesizer he had recently purchased, and he was "working closely with Robert, which was something that had not happened before".
The original album featured an unusual gimmick: the album had an outer sleeve which was made to look like a plain brown paper bag (reminiscent of similarly packaged bootleg album sleeves with the title rubber-stamped on it), and the inner sleeve featured black and white line artwork which, if washed with water, would become permanently fully colored. There were also six different sleeves featuring a different pair of photos (one on each side), and the external brown paper sleeve meant that it was impossible for record buyers to tell which sleeve they were getting. The pictures all depicted the same scene in a bar (in which a man burns a Dear John letter), and each photo was taken from the separate point of view of someone who appeared in the other photos. The walls are covered with thousands of yellowed business cards and dollar bills. The photo session in a London studio was meant to look like a re-creation of the Old Absinthe House, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The album artwork was designed by Hipgnosis' Storm Thorgerson. In 1980, Hipgnosis was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Album Package for "In Through The Out Door". A replica of the brown bag included in this re-edition.
The album was released before drummer John Bonham died on 29 September 1980, leading the band to disband.
"In Through The Out Door" was a huge commercial success; it went to the No. 1 on Billboard's chart in just its second week on the American chart, reportedly selling 1.7 million copies within days of release. It remained on the US top spot for seven weeks and sold three million copies by the end of September 1979. It also went to No. 1 in the UK, Japan, Germany, Canada and New Zealand. The album was credited with helping to revive the US record industry, which had begun to struggle. On this album's release, Led Zeppelin's entire catalogue made the Billboard 200 between the weeks of 23 October and 3 November 1979, an unprecedented feat, topping their own record in 1975, when all their albums up to "Physical Graffiti" were on the chart. It was the band's final studio release to reach the top of the charts in the United States. "In Through The Out Door" is the Led Zeppelin album that has spent the most weeks on the top of the charts (tied with "Led Zeppelin II"). To date, the album has sold six million copies in the US.

The untitled fourth studio album, commonly known as "Led Zeppelin IV". After the band's previous album "Led Zeppelin III" received lukewarm reviews from critics, band decided their fourth album would officially be untitled, and would be represented instead by four symbols chosen by each band member, without featuring the name or any other details on the cover.
Encompassing Heavy Metal, Folk, pure Rock & Roll, and Blues, this album is a monolithic record, defining not only Led Zeppelin, but the sound and style of '70s Hard Rock. Led Zeppelin fuse their majestic Hard Rock with a mystical, rural English Folk, that gives the record an Epic scope. At its basic, the album has a grand sense of drama, which is only deepened by Robert Plant's burgeoning obsession with mythology, religion, and the occult. Plant's mysticism comes to a head on the eerie Folk ballad "The Battle of Evermore", a mandolin-driven song with haunting vocals from Sandy Denny, and on the epic "Stairway to Heaven". Of all of Zeppelin's songs, "Stairway to Heaven" is the most famous, and not unjustly. Building from a simple fingerpicked acoustic guitar to a storming torrent of guitar riffs and solos, it encapsulates the entire album in one song. Which, of course, isn't discounting the rest of the album. "Going to California" is the band's best Folk song, and the rockers are endlessly inventive, whether it's the complex, multi-layered "Black Dog", the pounding Hippie satire "Misty Mountain Hop", or the Funky riffs of "Four Sticks". But the closer, "When the Levee Breaks", is the one song truly equal to "Stairway to Heaven", helping give "IV" the feeling of an Epic. An apocalyptic slice of urban Blues, "When the Levee Breaks" is as forceful and frightening as Zeppelin ever got, and its seismic rhythms and layered dynamics illustrate why none of their imitators could ever equal them.
In 2003, the album was ranked number 69 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time", which described it as "the peak of Seventies Hard Rock". The album was a commercial and critical success and is Led Zeppelin's best-selling, shipping over 37 million copies worldwide as of 2014. On their first two albums, Led Zeppelin unleashed a relentless barrage of heavy Blues and Rockabilly riffs, but “Led Zeppelin III” provided the band with the necessary room to grow musically. While there are still a handful of Metallic rockers, "III" is built on a Folky, acoustic foundation that gives the music extra depth.
And even the rockers aren't as straightforward as before: the galloping "Immigrant Song" is powered by Robert Plant's banshee wail, "Celebration Day" turns Blues Rock inside out with a warped slide guitar riff, and "Out on the Tiles" lumbers along with a tricky, multi-part riff. Nevertheless, the heart of the album lies on the second side, when the band delve deeply into English Folk. "Gallows Pole" updates a traditional tune with a menacing flair, and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" is an infectious acoustic romp, while "That's the Way" and "Tangerine" are shimmering songs with graceful country flourishes. The band hasn't left the blues behind, but the twisted bottleneck Blues of "Hats off to (Roy) Harper" actually outstrips the epic "Since I've Been Loving You," which is the only time Zeppelin sound a bit set in their ways.

Moving an image into place behind one hole would usually bring one or two others into place behind other holes.

It spent four weeks at the top of the Billboard chart, while it entered that British chart at #1 and remained there for three weeks (returning to the top for a further week on 12 December). In spite of its initially indifferent reviews and lower sales than Led Zeppelin's other early albums, "Led Zeppelin III"'s reputation has recovered considerably with the passage of time. The RIAA certified the album 2x Platinum in 1990, and 6x Platinum in 1999. Recorded quickly during Led Zeppelin's first American tours, "Led Zeppelin II" provided the blueprint for all the Heavy Metal bands that followed it. Since the band could only enter the studio for brief amounts of time, most of the songs that compose "II" are reworked Blues and Rock & Roll standards that the band was performing on-stage at the time. Not only did the short amount of time result in a lack of original material, it made the sound more direct. Jimmy Page still provided layers of guitar overdubs, but the overall sound of the album is heavy and hard, brutal and direct. "Whole Lotta Love", "The Lemon Song" and "Bring It on Home" are all based on classic Blues songs - only, the riffs are simpler and louder and each song has an extended section for instrumental solos. Of the remaining six songs, two sport light acoustic touches ("Thank You", "Ramble On"), but the other four are straight-ahead Heavy Rock that follows the formula of the revamped Blues songs. With elements of Blues and Folk music, "Led Zeppelin II" also exhibits the band's evolving musical style of Blues-derived material and their guitar and riff-based sound. It has been described as the band's heaviest album.
While "Led Zeppelin II" doesn't have the eclecticism of the band's debut, it's arguably more influential. After all, nearly every one of the hundreds of Zeppelin imitators used this record, with its lack of dynamics and its pummeling riffs, as a blueprint.
"Led Zeppelin II" was the band's first album to reach number one in the UK and the US. In 1970, art director David Juniper was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package for the album. On 15 November 1999, it was certified 12× Platinum by the RIAA for sales in excess of 12000000 copies. Although the album initially received negative reviews, it was commercially very successful and has now come to be regarded in a much more positive light by critics. In 2003, the album was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. When Rolling Stone updated the list in 2012 the album remained ranked at 29th greatest of all time!!

In 1968, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Page brought in Plant, Bonham and Jones to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut. Re-released 40 years to the day of the original on February 24th 1975, Atlantic Records have just issued the latest in their Led Zeppelin remasters series in the form of the band’s sixth album, "Physical Graffiti".
Integrating a host of musical genres from Rock and Reggae to Funk, the album features some of the band’s best-known songs with "Custard Pie", "Trampled Under Foot" and the massive, swirling epic of "Kashmir" capturing Led Zeppelin at the peak of their powers.
The band originally recorded eight new tracks for release, but since the collective track running times went beyond that of a standard album, they decided to crank it up to a double, adding several unreleased tracks from previous sessions, including "Boogie with Stu" which dated back to 1971.
Being both commercially and critically successful upon original release, "Physical Graffiti" was certified 16x Platinum and was hailed as one of Led Zeppelin’s finest albums. Generally regarded as one of the greatest double albums of all time, the original 15 tracks represent a creative tour de force that explores the band’s dynamic musical range, from the driving Rock of “Custard Pie” and acoustic arrangement of “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” to the Eastern raga of “Kashmir” and Funky groove of “Trampled Under Foot”.
Led Zeppelin continues to be honored for its pivotal role in music history. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded with the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Founding members Jones, Page and Plant – along with Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham – took the stage at London’s O2 Arena in 2007 to headline a tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, a dear friend and Atlantic Records’ founder. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In January of 2014, the band won their first ever Grammy award as "Celebration Day", which captured their live performance at the Ertegun tribute concert, was named Best Rock Album.

Born Karen Lynn Greening, also known in the past as "Metal Queen", Lee Aaron marked as the first female Rock singer from Canada.
She’s debut, originally released as “The Lee Aaron Project” in 1982 through Freedom Records, was reissued in 1984 through Attic Records as “Lee Aaron” (not to be confused with her 1987 self-titled album).
The album featured well-known musicians of the Toronto music scene, including members of Moxy, Rif Raf3 (Q107 Homegrown Vol 4 / Lee Aaron Project band), Santers, and Triumph's Rik Emmett.
Between 1984 and 1992, Aaron toured extensively through Europe and made appearances in Japan and the United States. She released six albums on Attic Records in Canada and international releases in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Italy, Scandinavia, Australia, and Japan. She won three Toronto Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist.
Lee Aaron is one of Canada’s most iconic vocalists, songwriters, producers, and fearless re-inventors. With an impressive 40+ year career spanning 18 albums and multiple hit singles, she has undertaken successful forays into the world of Rock, Pop, Jazz, and even Opera.
