The second re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary American Heavy Metal band.
When Dio's debut album "Holy Diver" landed on the shelves of music stores, people were absolutely blown away by it. The guitar harmonies, Ronnie James Dio's pitch-perfect tenor, and amazingly well done song compositions were all unbelievably good and stand tall even till this day. Dio shows his devil's horns to the universe once again with his second album. His unique sounding vocals dominating each and every song. There are a lot of similarities to "Holy Diver", but there are some subtle differences, too. The end result is almost equally impressive, though, and "The Last In Line" stands as one of the highlights of Dio's career.
The first thing when listening to this release was the fact that the songs are much faster. The opener "We Rock" is one of the best openers you ever heard. It just takes hold of you and rocks the hell out of you. The riffs by Vivian Campbell are very well done again, this time taking on more of a 80s Metal approach, than the Rock influenced guitar riffs we heard on "Holy Diver". His guitar work really shows his abilities to draw you in to his leads and solos. Dio's vocals are amazing as always. He sings with a lot of emotion and instantly makes every song have a memorable chorus, which is always important for this type of Metal.
The production, considering the time and the technology available, is excellent. You can hear all the instruments perfectly at all times.
The album was certified Gold (500000 units sold) by the RIAA on September 12, 1984, and was the first Dio album to be certified Platinum, achieving the feat on February 3, 1987. In the UK, it attained Silver certification (60000 units sold) by the British Phonographic Industry, achieving this in January 1986, at the same time as “Holy Diver”.
This is an album of classic Metal greatness, well worthy of the attention of any fan of Speed, Power, Progressive or traditional Metal.

First EP by Italian Horror/Doom/Black Metal band.
Disharmonic is an Italian Occult Ritualistic Doom Metal band born in 1998. It was founded by the drummer Lord Daniel Omungus and the guitarist Sir.Robert Baal. The intention was to bring in a scene something innovative for the place and play something really sulphurous.
In 2003 they recorded what would have been the end of the first era, "The Black Dance of Evil Spirits", then all died (or so it seemed)...
By the will of the founders Lord Daniel and Sir. Robert continued to work in a chimera, "Carmini Mortis", the natural evolution of the style of the band. The album came out much later in 2011, with a renewed line-up. The advent of the prophet Isaia and the voice of Baron Von Hayden on bass gave new sap the band.
But the chimera is not yet complete! In 2014, "Il Rituale dei Non Morti" out in 12" EP + CD format, to complete the session work and concept of the previous album"Carmines Mortis". "Il Rituale Dei Non Morti" translate "The Ritual Of The Undead", and it's a Ritualistic Dark Doom Metal Opera!

The seventh full-length studio album by American Modern Heavy Metal band.
The band's first album in over three years and the band's first album in over eight years to involve bass guitarist John Moyer. 
Disturbed became one of the biggest Metal acts of all time with only two tools in their arsenal: knowing what people want and how to deliver it to them. Disturbed have updated their image slightly this time, with David Draiman ditching those chin rings after saying they made him feel like "a 45-year old Hot Topic kid." The new album is called "Evolution", after all, so no point looking back!
After the runaway success of the Simon and Garfunkel cover on 2015's "Immortalized", it's hard to guess what Disturbed might have up their sleeves next. "Evolution" doesn't include any covers, but it does contain some of the boldest musical choices Disturbed have made in their multi-decade career. Frontman David Draiman stated that the writing and recording of the album was influenced by Classic Rock that members have listened to in their youth. Guitarist Dan Donegan stated that the album's title was representative of their goal on the album, to challenge themselves to evolve their sound.
By splitting their allegiances, the risk is that Disturbed won’t please either type of fan. The good news is that, despite their overwrought qualities, each slow song is boosted by those impressive vocals, while the heavier ones boast choruses as hooky as his former chin piercings (he’s removed them as he feels too old for them). This is without doubt the most diverse record in Disturbed’s catalogue, and it remains to be seen whether it’s a transition into a new, ‘grown up’ career, or an interesting experiment. The heavy songs on "Evolution" should please longtime fans, with a couple harkening back to the dynamism of Disturbed’s first couple of albums. "Evolution" certainly doesn't sound like anything they've done before. At best, "Evolution" could add a few more bangers to their roster.
The album is a tribute to deceased Heavy Metal musicians such as Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Vinnie Paul of Pantera, with whom Disturbed were friends and toured with over the years.
It's debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, making it Disturbed's sixth straight top 5 album. It is the band's first album since "The Sickness" not to reach number one, thus ending the band's streak of number one albums at five.

Doro’s second album is more a solo effort than a band production. In fact, the German singer chose for herself a new musical direction, consciously separating the music creative process from normal band dynamics, the contrary of what she had always done in the past with Warlock.
The album production was put in the hands of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, Doro's childhood idol. Simmons provided five songs, including the covers of The Electric Prunes' 60s Psychedelic hit "I Had Too Much to Dream" and of Black 'n Blue's "Rock On", and musicians coming from the Kiss' entourage to complete the recording. The song "Only You" is a Kiss cover from the album "Music From The Elder" (1981). He gave his protégé, Tommy Thayer from the band Black 'n Blue (another band Simmons produced), a chance to shine as co-producer of the album, along with Pat Regan. "I'll Be Holding On" is a cover of a Gregg Allman song from the 1989 film "Black Rain".
The resulting sound is much smoother and polished than any Warlock album, in the vein of many American Glam Metal recordings of the time, and the lyrics give up completely the Gothic atmosphere present in the offerings of Doro Pesch’s previous band.
Despite the commercial appeal of the music and the high economic effort in producing it, the album did not have the critical and sales success that was expected and remained the last studio album by Doro published in the United States for ten years. If released a few years earlier this album would have really catapulted Doro to new heights. But timing, along with a less than aggressive sound didn’t do the album any favors. Regardless, the album is amazing and shows the Queen of Metal at her very best!

The debut full-length studio solo album by legendary German Hard Rock/Heavy Metal singer and her band.
In the 1980s, Warlock was among Germany's most exciting Heavy Metal bands, which is saying a lot when you consider that Germany also produced Accept and the Scorpions. After the success of Warlock’s album "Triumph And Agony", which gained Gold status in Germany and reached the top 100 chart in the USA, former Warlock vocalist Doro Pesch remained the only original member of the band. Some legal issues about the use of the name Warlock were raised by the former band manager, and Doro settled the dispute, renouncing to issue any new album with the band’s name, but using her name instead for any new releases. However, the first print of the LP was issued with a sticker on the cover near Doro’s name with "+ Warlock" written on and for some fans "Force Majeure" should still be considered as the last album by Warlock.
Just like "Triumph And Agony", the album was recorded in the USA and produced by Joey Balin. Bass player Tommy Henriksen, who was part of the last line-up of Warlock, plays in this album too. The line-up is completed by drummer Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow, Scorpions, Quiet Riot, Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult) and guitarist Jon Levin, whose name was incorrectly reported as Jon Devin on the album sleeve.
Trying to follow the positive American feedback of the previous Warlock album, the songs of "Force Majeure" are even more oriented to radio-friendly Glam Metal than to the European Power Metal of Doro’s earlier works and include for the first time a cover, Procol Harum’s famous "A Whiter Shade of Pale". It's also an album that Doro can be proud of; even though "Force Majeure" isn't quite in a class with Warlock's best releases, it is definitely a strong Pop-Metal/Hard Rock outing. Doro, who co-wrote most of the material with Joey Balin, is focused and assured throughout the album - she is as passionate on driving rockers like "Angels With Dirty Faces", "Under the Gun", and "Hellraiser" as she is on the haunting ballad "River of Tears". Equally strong is Doro's inspired cover "A Whiter Shade of Pale".
The album sold quite well in Europe but had a limited success in the USA, reaching only the top 200 chart.
While Doro is generally decent, "Force Majeure" is more than decent - it is excellent! In fact, "Force Majeure" is arguably her strongest and most essential solo album!!

An even more important aspect, however, is the emergence of Don Henley as the band's dominant voice, both as a singer and a lyricist. On the six songs to which he contributes, Henley sketches a thematic statement that begins by using California as a metaphor for a dark, surreal world of dissipation; comments on the ephemeral nature of success and the attraction of excess; branches out into romantic disappointment; and finally sketches a broad, pessimistic history of America that borders on nihilism. Of course, the lyrics kick in some time after one has appreciated the album's music, which marks a peak in the Eagles' playing.

The only live album by cult American Psychedelic/Jazz/Fusion/Blues Rock vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with his band White Thrash.
A powerful revue famous for their fusion of Funk, Gospel, R&B, and Rock 'n' Roll, the live follow-up to 1971's "Edgar Winter's White Trash" finds the band running through a handful of the tunes from their debut album, as well as rocking things up a bit with "Still Alive and Well" (a track later recorded by Edgar's brother Johnny) and "Back in the U.S.A.". 
The album was recorded before live audiences at the Apollo Theater and the Academy of Music in New York City and in Los Angeles at the legendary Whisky a Go Go nightclub.
Highlights include Winter's vocals and virtuoso keyboard work, plus the guitar styling of Rick Derringer. The longest track on the album was the band's own version of the John D. Loudermilk song, "Tobacco Road", which lasted over 17 minutes, taking up an entire side of the album. Derringer contributed lead vocals to "Still Alive and Well" and "Back in the USA", and Johnny Winter made a special appearance singing lead and playing guitar on "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo". Louisiana native Jerry LaCroix, who shared lead vocals with Winter in White Trash, is also prominently featured.
One of the most immortal lines for any live Rock album has to be "People keep askin' me: where's your brother?" - the introduction of guest artist Johnny Winter by his brother Edgar sets the stage for a rousing rendition of Rick Derringer's "Rock & Roll, Hoochie Koo". The extended version of Blues classic "Tobacco Road" is one of the finest moments on this album, which is itself a classic.
The album was certified Gold December 18, 1974 by the RIAA.

The eleventh full-length studio album by legendary German Power Metal band.
"Defenders Of The Crown" marks Edguy's return, and it was preceded by cautious and safe statements from the band's side. Band finally decided to listen to the fans' prayers and to take a step back, to disown that kind of weak Power Hard Rock of which their recent works were tainted, embracing again the sound Edguy mastered through the years. "Defenders Of The Crown" embodies once again the typical German Power Metal style: heavy, fast and cheesy, incredibly catchy, and with a stellar performance by Sammet and his bandmates. This album proves these guys are still hot and burning!
Quite ironically, while Avantasia was born from a rib of Edguy, now the first is bringing the latter back to life, since "Defenders Of The Crown" has many Avantasia traits. From the opener "Sabre & Torch", that many correctly matched with "Invoke The Machine" from 2013's "The Mystery Of Time", to the 9-minute closer "The Eternal Wayfarer", which just sounds like Edguy covering Led Zeppelin, everything is over the top and epic. But, obviously, this is Edguy. The fun traits of the band also shine here, both with Tobi's well-known antics spread over various tracks ("Do Me Like A Caveman") and in the rather unexpected cover of Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus". Some of you will cry while blessing your ears with it!
"Defenders Of The Crown" is a great release, the first in a long time that doesn't cast aspersions on "Mandrake" and "Hellfire Club" 's memory. With restored songwriting and musicianship, Edguy are back on track!! Back to Baba Yaga!!!)

Remastered re-release of the fourth full-length studio album by legendary British Progressive Pop/Rock band.
Sub-titled "A Symphony By The Electric Light Orchestra", ELO's fourth LP was its first to feature an actual orchestra, as opposed to just overdubbed string parts. This is the album where Jeff Lynne finally found the sound he'd wanted since co-founding Electric Light Orchestra three years earlier. Up to this point, most of the band's music had been self-contained - Lynne, Richard Tandy, et al., providing whatever was needed, vocally or instrumentally, even if it meant overdubbing their work layer upon layer. Lynne saw the limitations of this process, however, and opted for the presence of an orchestra - it was only 30 pieces, but the result was a much richer musical palette than the band had ever had to work with, and their most ambitious and successful record up to that time.
Indeed, Eldorado was strongly reminiscent in some ways of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Not that it could ever have the same impact or be as distinctive, but it had its feet planted in so many richly melodic and varied musical traditions, yet made it all work in a Rock context, that it did recall the Beatles classic. It was a very romantic work, especially on the opening "Eldorado Overture", which was steeped in a wistful 1920s/1930s notion of popular fantasy (embodied in movies and novels like James Hilton's "Lost Horizon" and Somerset Maugham's "The Razor's Edge") about disillusioned seekers.
This is a concept album about the lonely, romantic daydreams of a man desperate to escape the drudgery of his daily life, "Eldorado" weaves its songs into a dense, atmospheric tapestry that is essentially Pop-Prog. It boasted Lynne's best single up to that time, "Can't Get It Out of My Head," which most radio listeners could never get out of their respective heads, either. 
Called "something of a triumph" by Rolling Stone at the time, "Eldorado" was later used by experimental filmmaker Kenneth Anger as the soundtrack to the 1978 re-release of his surreal 1954 film "Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome", which certainly speaks to the album's transportive, cinematic qualities.
The integration of the orchestra would become even more thorough on future albums, but "Eldorado" was notable for mixing the band and orchestra (and a choir) in ways that did no violence to the best elements of both.
In July 2010, the album named one of Classic Rock Magazine's "50 Albums That Built Prog Rock".
On June 17, 2015, the album ranked #43 on Rolling Stone's "50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time".

The first re-release of the second full-length studio album by cult American Black/Death Metal band.
Due to a bunch of business related problems it took Florida’s Equinox quite a while to get this album out, but the result is definitely worth the long wait!
Equinox is one of the most underrated acts ever to emerge out of sunny Florida and “Journey Into Oblivion” a musical roller coaster ride through about an hour of classic Black/Death Metal. Unlike the current trend to blast as fast as you can, Equinox took a different direction and perform their material mostly very midpaced, partly Doomy and partly fast. The dark and very heavy riffing often brings Black Sabbath to mind, while the soloing is totally in the vintage Slayer vein. The vocals sound totally possessed and are a mixture of Black and Death Metal, yet very impressive and charismatic.
Equinox are totally old school, and that’s more than fine as they come up with songs full of interesting riffs and memorable parts. The guys still know what a good song demands in order to stand the test of time, probably because their influences come from all those acts that are eternal to many of us nowadays (Possessed, Celtic Frost, Destruction, Slayer, Bathory, Sodom, Venom, etc.). 
The line-up includes guitarists Pete Slate (Druid Lord, ex-Acheron, ex-Incubus and Tony Blakk (Druid Lord, Massacre (live), ex-Diabolic (live), ex-Acheron), and vocalist/bassist Matt Wagner.
Recorded and mixed at Morrisound Studios, Tampa, Florida by Ji and Tom Morris (Sepultura, Kreator, Morbid Angel) and the band.
Completely remastered re-release on black vinyl.

In 1990 and 1991, Eric Clapton performed 42 nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London; 18 shows in 1990 and 24 in 1991. During the run of these shows, Clapton performed with three different line-ups: a Rock band, a Blues band, and an Orchestra.
Arguably, the shows with the National Philharmonic Orchestra are the most unique of all the performances. The orchestra was conducted by the legendary composer Michael Kamen. Clapton had worked with Kamen previously on film soundtracks (Rush, Lethal Weapon) so it was natural for Clapton to ask Kamen to arrange the music for orchestra.
The 13-song set on "24 Nights: Orchestral" includes stunning orchestral arrangements of “Layla”, “Sunshine of Your Love”, “Wonderful Tonight”, “White Room”, “Can’t Find My Way Home”, “Bell Bottom Blues’, “I Shot The Sheriff”, “Lay down Sally”, and “Crossroads”. A special highlight is the recorded debut of the 30-minute composition that Kamen wrote especially for Eric Clapton: “Concerto For Electric Guitar”.

"24 Nights: Rock" features 18 songs, has a running time of 2 hours 15 minutes. The Rock show line-up varied from 4, 9 or 13 band members, and the musicians included Nathan East, Ray Cooper, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Ferrone. The 4-piece in 1991 featured Phil Collins on drums.
Highlights of the songs performed include "White Room", "Layla", "Pretending", "Running on Faith", "Old Love", and "Lay Down Sally". The set also features excellent cover versions: a restrained Reggae rhythm version of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”, a Blues-Rock twist on the Bob Marley anthem “I Shot the Sheriff”, and the great J.J. Cale song “Cocaine”. The concert ends with the Cream classic “Sunshine of Your Love”.
