Bon Jovi's sophomore release found the New Jersey band continuing with its engaging mix of Hard Rock dynamics and blatant Pop-Metal overtones, and primed the pump for the coming popular explosion of "Slippery When Wet". Ever since the keyboard call to arms of the breakthrough "Runaway", Bon Jovi had understood that real success lay in a billowing smoke, soft-focus derivation of true Metal, where Journey-style synthesizers and Soft Rock chorus vocals were the name of the game. To that end, "7800° Fahrenheit" tempered its black-leather Rock & Roll with a rudimentary form of the sound that would make Bon Jovi superstars. They puffed out their chests for the groupie-groping, Mötley Crüe-style catcalls of "In and Out of Love" and made sure "King of the Mountain" rumbled with boys-night-out bravado. But they seemed much more comfortable with the twittering ballad "Silent Night" or "Price of Love," where arena-ready riffing met smoke machine keys and vocal trills. There was even "Tokyo Road", a valiant attempt at the epic scope of Springsteen that featured a Japanese-language intro and full-on character development. It was in these moments - when the tenets of Metal tried on the hairstyles of Pop - that "7800° Fahrenheit" burned its brightest; the professional songwriting and increased cash flow of "Slippery When Wet" just made the existing mercury burst.
The album's title was a reference to the supposed melting point of rock. It's marked the final collaboration between Bon Jovi and producer Lance Quinn. It is also the only Bon Jovi album to feature songwriting contributions from four of the band members, with "Secret Dreams" being the only Bon Jovi song to-date for which drummer Tico Torres receives a songwriting credit. Despite being a fan favorite, the band was unsatisfied with the sound of the album and essentially disowned it once they had solidified their status as Major Rock Stars with the albums "Slippery When Wet" and "New Jersey" a few years later. It is the least represented album in their setlists over the course of the career and excluding extremely rare performances of the song "Tokyo Road" in Japan once every few years and "Only Lonely" a few times during The Circle Tour in 2010, nothing from this album has been performed live since the late 1980s.
"7800° Fahrenheit" reached #37 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and was the band's first record to be certified Gold in the US. It remained charted for 85 weeks and was certified Platinum on February 19, 1987. The singles "In and Out of Love" and "Only Lonely" both charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

Debut full-length solo album by the leader and vocalist of legendary American Soft Metal band Bon Jovi.
“Young Guns II” is a 1990 western film and the sequel to “Young Guns” (1988). It stars Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christian Slater, and features William Petersen as Pat Garrett. Jon Bon Jovi also made a cameo appearance in the film as one of the prisoners in the pit with Doc and Chavez.
This LP includes songs from and inspired by the movie “Young Guns II”. Emilio Estevez originally approached Bon Jovi to ask him for permission to include the song "Wanted Dead Or Alive" on the soundtrack. Bon Jovi did not feel the song’s lyrics were appropriate; however, he was inspired by the project and resolved to write a new song for the film that would be more in keeping with the period and setting. He quickly wrote the song "Blaze of Glory", and performed it on acoustic guitar in the New Mexico desert for Estevez and John Fusco. This was the first time that "Blaze of Glory" was heard.
Music videos were made for the first two singles, "Blaze of Glory" and "Miracle", and also the fourth (promo) single "Dyin' Ain't Much of a Livin", but not for the third single "Never Say Die".
The album featured guests such as Elton John, Little Richard, and Jeff Beck.
The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. “Blaze of Glory” was awarded a Golden Globe. It also received Academy Award and Grammy nominations.

For the first time on vinyl, the tenth full-length studio album by the legendary American Country/Melodic Hard Rock band.
The album influences the band's Rock sound with that of Country Music, following the success of a Country version of the band's 2006 single "Who Says You Can't Go Home", a duet with Jennifer Nettles, which reached No. 1 on the U.S. country chart in May 2006. Following the success had with the duet version of "Who Says You Can't Go Home", there are two songs on the album produced in collaboration with other artists, namely "We Got It Going On", featuring Big & Rich, and the single "Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore", featuring LeAnn Rimes.
After its first week on sale, Lost Highway entered the Dutch, German, Swiss, and Japanese album charts at No. 1, and the UK Album Chart at No. 2. It entered the Irish and Australian charts at No. 5, although after the conclusion of Bon Jovi's Australian tour, the album climbed to No. 2. In Japan, the album debuted at No. 1 and sold 73 212 copies in its first week of release on Oricon charts. This is the fourth such time, breaking The Beatles and the Bay City Rollers' record as a Western band (under Oricon's definition) of having three number one albums in the country. In the UK, the album sold 79 000 copies in its first week, an improvement on "Have A Nice Day" first-week sales of 54 000. In Denmark, the album debuted at No. 5, but went to No. 1 after five weeks on the charts. 
Described by Jon Bon Jovi as a "Bon Jovi album influenced by Nashville", the album debuted in the U.S. at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with 292 000 copies sold in its first week, becoming Bon Jovi's first ever album to debut at No. 1, and their third album to reach that position in the United States. The album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2008 Grammy Awards. This was the band's first studio album in the Country Music genre. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA in October 2008.

The third full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock/Soft Metal band.
Despite the moderate success of "7800° Fahrenheit", Bon Jovi weren't becoming the superstars they had hoped, and they changed their approach for their next album, going for a more mainstream sound than their heavier first two records. "Slippery When Wet" wasn't just a breakthrough album for Bon Jovi; it was a breakthrough for Hair Metal in general, marking the point where the genre officially entered the mainstream. Released in 1986, it presented a streamlined combination of Pop, Hard Rock and Metal, that appealed to everyone - especially girls, whom traditional Heavy Metal often ignored.
Hiring professional songwriter Desmond Child as a collaborator, the band wrote 30 songs and auditioned them for local New Jersey and New York teenagers, basing the album's running order on their opinions. Much of the album's content was written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, except "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Without Love" and "I'd Die For You", which were co-written by Desmond Child.
The album went through various name changes during its inception. The main working title was "Wanted Dead Or Alive"; later the band decided to name the album "Slippery When Wet" after visiting The Number 5 Orange Stripclub in Vancouver. "Slippery When Wet" was an instant commercial success. The album features songs that are today considered Bon Jovi's most well-known tracks, such as "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive".
Between 1986 and 1987, "Slippery When Wet" produced an amazing string of hit singles, including three Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits, two of which ("You Give Love A Bad Name" and "Livin' On A Prayer") reached No. 1, making Bon Jovi the first Hard Rock band to ever have two consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 chart hits. The third single "Wanted Dead or Alive" peaked at No. 7, making "Slippery When Wet" the first Hard Rock album to spawn three Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits.
The album spent eight weeks at #1 on the Billboard album chart. It also had impressive staying power, with 38 weeks inside the Top 5 of Billboard 200, including 8 weeks at No. 1. "Slippery When Wet" was the best-selling album of 1987 in the United States, and eventually reached Diamond certification by the RIAA and current sales stand at 12 million copies, making it the 48th best-selling album in the United States. In the UK, "Slippery When Wet" received a 3x Platinum certification by the BPI. The album also achieved Diamond status in Canada and 6x Platinum status in Australia. It was ranked 44th in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of the Definitive 200 albums of all time. As of 2014, "Slippery When Wet" is the band's best-selling album to date, with an RIAA certification of twelve times Platinum, and reportedly over 25 million copies sold worldwide. The album is featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

The first re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary Euro-Caribbean Eurodisco/Reggae band.
Boney M.'s follow-up to their 1976 success "Take The Heat Off Me" closely adheres to the formula established by that album: a combination of original songs and offbeat cover versions done in a style that marries bubblegum Pop hooks to a Disco beat. Like its predecessor, "Love For Sale" also scored some notable international hits: "Ma Baker" is a colourful gangster story that boasts a stuttered vocal hook guaranteed to stick in the listener's head, and "Belfast" is an up-tempo dancefloor stormer, that works some surprisingly heavy sounding power chords into the group's slick dancefloor sound. Frank Farian's slick, lush production ensures that the album is a slick piece of ear candy from start to finish.
The album includes three covers: "Love for Sale" (by Cole Porter), "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" (by Creedence Clearwater Revival), and "Still I'm Sad" (by The Yardbirds).
American label Atlantic Records found the cover "raunchy", so they used the standard back cover of a vinyl sleeve featuring the band wearing clothes as the alternative front cover of the American and Canadian edition.

The second full-length studio album by legendary German Melodic Hard Rock/Glam Metal band.
Founded on the ashes of early 80s Hard Rock act Cacumen, German Rock act Bonfire unleashed their debut album “Don’t Touch The Light” in 1986, which not only raised a lot of attention in the Hard Rock scene, but also received favorable press from all over the world. Soon after the first release, Bonfire went through some line-up changes but nevertheless hit the studios with famous producer Michael Wagener to record the album, which up to today is regarded as one true classic in Hard Rock history - “Fireworks”.
“Fireworks” marked the international breakthrough for the band, in Germany alone sold more than 100.000 copies and took Bonfire into the national charts for more than 30 weeks. A huge tour with Judas Priest followed soon after.

The third full-length studio album by legendary British Country Rock singer.
The best of Bonnie Tyler's work with Ronnie Scott and Steve Wolfe. The production/writing team move more towards the Pop side and away from the Country flourishes, which marked Tyler's first two albums.
From the terrific opener "If You Ever Need Me Again" through to the closing "I'm a Fool", this is a solid collection of Pop songs, including soulful ballads ("Words Can Change Your Life"), saucy anthems ("My Guns Are Loaded") and moving singalongs ("Too Good to Last"). As with her two previous releases, there are also wonderfully interpreted covers ("Louisiana Rain" being the highlight).
A good mix of Rock, Folk, Country and Soul, "Diamond Cut" is definitely the high point of Tyler's pre-Jim Steinman career, and a dynamite showcase for Tyler's inimitable voice!

The album also includes the song "Take Me Back", written by Billy Cross, a former Bob Dylan guitarist. Only two of the tracks were written by Steinman himself: the title track and the international No. 1 hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart".

The third single from the sixth full-length studio album, "Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire", by legendary British Rock singer.
After the success of "Faster Than The Speed Of Night" in 1983, Bonnie Tyler went on to work with Jim Steinman on a next album. "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)" was released as the third single after the international success of first single "Holding Out For A Hero", which was originally released in 1984 from the soundtrack to the film "Footloose". It was written by Desmond Child and produced by Jim Steinman.
Upon its release, "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)" debuted at number 42 in France, rising to number 6 two months later. It was certified Silver by the SNEP with sales of over 250,000 copies in France. Elsewhere in continental Europe, "If You Were A Woman (And I Was A Man)" was a hit in Finland, Switzerland and West Germany, where it peaked at number 11, 16 and 36 respectively, the single stayed in the European Hot 100 Singles for 22 weeks. The song failed to significantly impact the UK singles chart, however, spending three weeks in the chart, peaking at number 78.
Across the Atlantic, the song peaked at number 77 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 87 on the Canadian RPM Top Singles chart. "If You Were A Woman (And I Was A Man)" has since been Tyler's last hit single in the United States.
Bonnie Tyler’s "If You Were A Woman (And I Was A Man)" (1986) is the original version of what became Bon Jovi’s "You Give Love A Bad Name". Songwriter Desmond Child has since stated that the song was re-written as "You Give Love A Bad Name" with Bon Jovi after he was dissatisfied with the chart performance of "If You Were A Woman (And I Was A Man)". Unsatisfied with the commercial success of the original, Child re-wrote the lyrics, recycled the chorus melody, and adjusted the style with Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, turning Tyler’s gender-bending Synth Rock song into Bon Jovi’s Hard Rock #1 Hit. 
Tyler’s version was successful in Europe (e.g., #6 in France) but only reached #77 in the USA. Bon Jovi’s version hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 on November 29, 1986.
The song was later having an "interpolation" or similar melody to "Kings & Queens" by Ava Max in 2020.
Tyler re-recorded the song on her 2004 album, "Simply Believe".

The second full-length studio album by legendary British Country Rock singer.
"Natural Force" sustained the style of its predecessor, with Pop Rock songs composed by Tyler's producers and managers, Ronnie Scott and Steve Wolfe, and the addition of a few covers. In the United States, the album was titled "It's A Heartache".
Five singles were released from "Natural Force". The second Single, "It's a Heartache", is among the best-selling singles of all time, with sales of over 6 million copies. It became Tyler's first charting Single in the United States, where it was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Many other singles from "Natural Force" also fared well in Europe.
"Natural Force" became Tyler's most successful album for RCA Records, with over 500,000 copies sold in the United States. In the United States, it reached number 2 on the Top Country Albums chart, and number 16 on the Billboard 200. The album was also a success in Europe, but like its predecessor, it failed to chart in the United Kingdom.

Three years in the making, "Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire" was executive-produced by Jim Steinman, who had produced Tyler's previous album. Seven singles were released from the album, with "Holding Out for a Hero" originally being released two years in advance on the movie soundtrack album "Footloose" (1984). Following its initial release, it charted highest in Austria, Canada, Germany and Sweden, peaking at No. 19 in each country, but only No. 96 in the United Kingdom. The song was re-released in 1985 and charted at No. 1 in Ireland and No. 2 in the United Kingdom, where it was certified Silver by the BPI for sales of over 250,000 units.
The album featured collaborations with songwriters guest artists including Desmond Child and Todd Rundgren.
"Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire" was a commercial success, reaching No. 1 on the Norwegian Albums Chart.
