"Wij Leven Als God in Frankrijk" brings to mind vintage MOTORHEAD, while "Evil, in the Bag" wouldn't sound out of place on one of BLACK SABBATH's early '70s classic albums. "Room Full of Sinners" also benefits greatly from the sound of a band that hasn't been processed through ProTools - it sounds pretty darn close to standing in the middle of the group's rehearsal space while they let it rip.
As a result, THE CURSED has produced an album of lean and mean metal; a headbangers delight.

An unmistakeable mixture of Thrash and Death Metal. There is an overweight of Thrash influences but the Death Metal gets a fair piece of the action as well. As in the heavy, double bass thundering passage with some really nice Death Metal riffs that occurs every now and then. The sound quality is good and also pretty loud, giving us forty minutes of Metal with an impact! people who like a mix of Thrash and Death Metal should take notice of this band!!

The quintet inserts numerous flashes of surprisingly textured guitar harmonies and clean-sung vocals into most every cut featured here. Is a solid enough effort that will interest, if not thrill, most fans of extreme metal. The fourth full-length studio album by American Mathcore band.
The Dillinger Escape Plan's first release to feature Billy Rymer on drums, since Gil Sharone left the band in September 2008 due to the frequent touring schedule and to focus on his brother's band Stolen Babies.
After having fulfilled their contract with Relapse Records, the band released the album through Party Smasher Inc., their own new imprint in collaboration with French record label Season of Mist.
Former frontman Dimitri Minakakis (who also contributed artwork for 2004 album "Miss Machine") created the artwork for "Option Paralysis".
The Dillinger Escape Plan is a paradoxical phenomenon, fusing the Raw Punkish attitude of Hardcore with the Mathematical precision of Progressive Extreme Metal and the spontaneity of Free Jazz. Though their complex song structures are hardly a recipe for easy listening, in the thirteen years of their existence the New Jersey outfit has risen from being an Underground Thrash band to a genre defining staple in today's musical landscape.
Produced by long time collaborator Steve Evetts (The Cure, Sepultura), "Option Paralysis" features all their trademark furious breaks and asymmetric rhythmical patterns, but surprises us throughout with a tasteful yet haunting melody. Adding Greg Puciato's deeply emotional vocals to Ben Weinman's groundbreaking guitar work, the Americans emerge with a vision, which will take them to new dimensions. The sixth full-length studio album by legendary American Psychedelic/Blues Rock band.
The last album to feature the band's lead singer, Jim Morrison, who died three months after the album's release. It was also recorded without record producer Paul A. Rothchild after he fell out with the group over the perceived lack of quality of their studio performances. Subsequently, the band co-produced the album with long-time sound engineer Bruce Botnick.
The album saw the band continue to integrate elements of Blues back into their music, a direction begun with their previous album, "Morrison Hotel". Actually, some of the straight Blues items sound kind of turgid, but that's more than made up for by several cuts that rate among their finest and most disturbing work. The seven-minute title track was a car-cruising classic that celebrated both the glamour and seediness of Los Angeles; the other long cut, the brooding, Jazzy "Riders on the Storm", was the band's at its most melodic and ominous. It and the far bouncier "Love Her Madly" were hit singles, and "The Changeling" and "L'America" count as some of their better, little-heeded album tracks. An uneven but worthy finale from the original quartet… Three months after release, on July 3, Morrison was found dead. 
"Love Her Madly" was released as a single in March 1971, preceding the album's release, and it reached the Top 20 in the Billboard Hot 100 for a stay of 11 weeks, but failed to chart in the UK. Upon release, the album peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200, remaining on the charts for 36 weeks, and reached number 28 in the UK, spending four weeks on the UK Albums Charts. An additional Single in support of the album, "Riders On The Storm", also achieved chart success on Billboard and in the UK. 
An additional Single, "Riders On The Storm", was released in June, and reached number 14 on the Billboard chart, while managing to peak at number 22 in the UK chart.
In 2003, "L.A. Woman" was ranked at 362 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. When the list was revised in 2012, to accommodate a number of albums released since 2003, the album was repositioned at number 364.

The Doors entered Elektra Sound Recorders in Los Angeles in November 1969 to record the album which is divided into two separately titled sides: "Hard Rock Cafe" and "Morrison Hotel". The band included session bassists Lonnie Mack and Ray Neapolitan on the album's songs.
The album peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and performed better overseas than the preceding album. It was certified Gold by RIAA in February 1970. Additionally, it became the band's highest-charting studio album in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at No. 12.

A tremendous debut album and indeed one of the best first-time outings in Rock history, introducing the band's fusion of Rock, Blues, Classical, Jazz, and poetry with a knockout punch.
Recorded in 1966 at Sunset Sound Recorders, Hollywood, California, it was produced by Paul A. Rothchild and released on January 4, 1967. The album features their breakthrough single "Light My Fire" and the lengthy song "The End" with its Oedipal spoken word section.
The Doors was central to the progression of Psychedelic Rock, and has been critically acclaimed. 
The original album has sold 20,000,000 copies, and has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Song "Light My Fire" was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. It has since been frequently ranked by critics as one of the greatest albums of all time; according to Acclaimed Music, it is the 27th most ranked record on all-time lists.
In 2000, “The Doors” was voted number 46 in Colin Larkin's "All Time Top 1000 Albums". It’s also ranked No. 75 on Q Magazine's "100 Greatest Albums Ever" and No. 226 in NME Magazine's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
In 2007, Rolling Stone put “The Doors” on their list of the 40 essential albums of 1967. In 2012, the album was ranked No. 42 in Rolling Stone Magazine's list of "500 Greatest Albums of all Time". In 2015, the Library of Congress selected "The Doors" for inclusion in the National Recording Registry based on its cultural, artistic or historical significance.

This English Heavy Rock'n'Roll quintet whose members have a remarkable pedigree rooted deeply in the 90's British Heavy Metal/Stoner Rock scene formed in 2001 consisting of Doug Dalziel and Dean Berry (both of Iron Monkey), Stuart O'Hara (guitarist of Acrimony), Chris Turner (drummer of Orange Goblin) as well as future Turbonegro singer Anthony Sylvester on the mic too boot!
Their band’s name is borrowed from an unrecorded Iron Monkey song and they are playing loud furious Sludge Rock with Tony delivering his distinctive gruff, hoarse vocals. Their sound is akin to Zeke or Motörhead to whom they also gained support slots for the UK in 2002.
Gauged by their debut album, comprising eighth songs lasting just over sixteen minutes, one could say the Dukes Of Nothing really stand behind their name... this truly qualifying as almost nothing. But the band makes a “whole lotta” something out of that "almost nothing", by taking the speed-addled minimalist Punk Metal of likeminded outfits Speedealer and Zeke and shrinking it even further into compact, one-minute bursts as irresistible as they are brief. These include nasty little zingers like "God vs. the Nudge", "31st Round" and "Don't Stop for Red", all of which equate to a musical sucker punch to the back of the head. The two-minute mark is only finally breached as they enter the album's second half, which includes a blitzkrieged cover of David Allan Coe's surprisingly suitable "Rock & Roll Fever", and eventually reaches a comparatively "epic" finale via the four-minute "White Damage".

The third full-length album by cult Greek Melodic Death/Black Metal.
This band makes interesting mix of Death Metal and Black Metal with symphonic elements. The musicianship is expert and can pull both Black Metal and Death Metal styles without any problems. Same goes for the faster blastbeat driven parts and calmer atmospheric parts. The vocals are the usual Black Metal bellowing save for some whispered parts and the spoken parts. The production is similar to Black Metal, not the primitive type though. It’s somewhat raw but at the same time clear and strong. The bass drum especially sounds good although it’s not that clear or strong but more like a muffled click which is typical for Black Metal and also some Brutal Death Metal production.
All in all “12 Ablaze” is a very interesting release. The mix of Death and Black Metal along with orchestral elements works surprisingly well. In fact so well, that the songs can get pretty progressive at times. 
Fans of Greek Dark Metal and Dark Metal in general should check this one out but there’s also something for those who grave for symphonic elements like violins, cello and piano in their Metal. Who knows you might just find a new hidden gem to add to your collection!!
