The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
The last studio album to feature drummer Louie Clemente and guitarist Alex Skolnick, until the latter rejoined the band in 2005. It was also their first album to be released and distributed only by the Atlantic, whereas Testament's previous four albums were co-released by Megaforce Records.
On "The Ritual", Testament began exploring a slower and more melodic approach, while still maintaining their Thrash roots. Certain songs on the album, including the title track (the longest song they had recorded at the time) and "Return To Serenity", also see the band continuing to explore a Technical and Progressive vein that was used on "Practice What You Preach" and "Souls Of Black".
In support of "The Ritual", Testament toured for over a year with bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, White Zombie, Corrosion Of Conformity, Pro-Pain, D.R.I., Green Jellÿ, Body Count and GWAR. By the end of 1992, during the middle of the tour, guitarist Alex Skolnick had decided to leave the band, with Clemente following suit. Several line-up changes took place before guitarist James Murphy and drummer John Tempesta were hired for the band's next album, "Low".
The album was a minor success, reaching No. 55 on the American Billboard 200. This would be Testament's highest position in their career, until 2012's "Dark Roots Of Earth", which reached No. 12 on the same chart. The record also spawned the band's only charting Single, "Return To Serenity", which reached No. 22 on Mainstream Rock Tracks. By June 2007, "The Ritual" had sold 485,000 copies in the United States.

Third and last full-length album by American Melodic Death Metal/Metalcore band.
Their first two albums were amazing, crafting their own sound, and bring a lot of darkness to Metalcore. However with this release, they took some major steps back. On their third album The Agony Scene pays tribute to legendary Swedish Metal and exhibits that there are still bands capable of branding punishing Metalcore. And here The Agony Scene sounds like In Flames. The band's formula is also standard: dueling guitars, commonly-placed breakdowns, screaming vocalist, double bass, et cetera, et cetera. The songs are three- to four-minute scampers, bordering on Melodic Death Metal in most cases. But for some reason this is dubbed “Metalcore” in this day and age. The band apparently has had several line-up changes and each one has altered its sound. Williams has said the band made a strong attempt to get back to the writing and style of their self-titled record.
The cover art that is most commonly displayed is not the true "cover", to say; it is merely a cardboard slip-cover. The small, inverted coffin (superimposed with a ↓/downward-facing arrow) is a cut-out window in the outer sleeve, which exposes a portion of the art beneath it.
Recommended for fans of In Flames and Melodic Death Metal fans in general!!

The debut full-length studio album by Norwegian Blackened Death/Thrash Metal band.
The Battalion is a something of a Bergen/Norway uber-band, containing members and ex-members from such outfits as Old Funeral, Grimfist, Borknagar and Helheim, only this isn't the Black Metal super group you'd expect, this is actually the darkest and most old-school Blackened Thrash Metal you can expect, and it kicks the proverbial ass!
Helped by a clear, yet raw sound, the guys kick right into "The Spirit Of Masculinity", a track that sums up the complete and utter testosterone injection their music is, think Hellhammer, Bathory and, of course, Old Funeral themselves, and you get a picture of just how damn evil this sounds, it reeks of oldschool, sweat, piss and all.
Following the excellent and anthemic "Born In A Grave", the guys inject some serious Punk into "Detonate", which bears the early 80s feel of bands such as Amebix and Discharge, with heavier guitars and a Metallic aftertaste that is. The wah-wah soloing towards the end is impressive, and then vocalist Stud Bronson seemingly dies with the song…
The one thing that is absolutely clear here, is that the band is having the time of its life, they still play well, write great riffs, but above all, this has the energy of a band that really enjoys itself and doesn’t take its shit too seriously, and there are very few bands that actually do that.
So grab a beer, re-arrange your old tape-cassette demos collection and give these guys a listen for a thrashing good time!!

50th Anniversary re-release of the thirteenth and the final full-length studio album by legendary British Rock band.
It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the band's public break-up, in tandem with the documentary of the same name. Concerned about recent friction within the band, Paul McCartney had conceived the project as an attempt to reinvigorate the group by returning to simpler Rock 'n' Roll configurations. Its rehearsals started at Twickenham Film Studios on 2 January 1969 as part of a planned television documentary showing the Beatles' return to live performance.
The filmed rehearsals were marked by ill feeling, leading to George Harrison's temporary departure from the group. As a condition of his return, the members reconvened at their own Apple Studio, and recruited guest keyboardist Billy Preston. Together, they performed a famous single public concert held on the studio's rooftop on 30 January, from which three of the album's tracks were drawn. In January 1970, four months after John Lennon departed from the band, the remaining Beatles completed "Let It Be". 
"Let It Be" topped record charts in several countries, including both the UK and the US, but was a critical failure at the time, and came to be regarded as one of the most controversial Rock albums in history.
The album has been remixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. All the new "Let It Be" feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original "reproduced for disc" version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. Gatefold sleeve includes 20-page booklet.

The 12th full-length album by English Dark Wave/Gothic legend, considered by many Cure fans to be a return to the band's roots after the stylistic departure of “Wild Mood Swings”. “Bloodflowers” is the third and final album in Robert Smith's "trilogy" of the three albums he feels most express The Cure, the first being the 1982 album “Pornography”, and the second being the 1989 album “Disintegration”.

"Room Full of Sinners" also benefits greatly from the sound of a band that hasn't been processed through ProTools - it sounds pretty darn close to standing in the middle of the group's rehearsal space while they let it rip.
As a result, THE CURSED has produced an album of lean and mean metal; a headbangers delight.

An unmistakeable mixture of Thrash and Death Metal. There is an overweight of Thrash influences but the Death Metal gets a fair piece of the action as well. As in the heavy, double bass thundering passage with some really nice Death Metal riffs that occurs every now and then. The sound quality is good and also pretty loud, giving us forty minutes of Metal with an impact! people who like a mix of Thrash and Death Metal should take notice of this band!!

The quintet inserts numerous flashes of surprisingly textured guitar harmonies and clean-sung vocals into most every cut featured here. Is a solid enough effort that will interest, if not thrill, most fans of extreme metal. European release by Scarlet Records contains a hidden track of (02:22) in the pre gap before track 1, reachable by rewinding.
