Deluxe Edition of the eleventh official live album by legendary British Heavy Metal band.
When it comes to live Metal shows, it doesn't get much better than an Iron Maiden concert. They have released a ton of live albums, DVDs and even VHS tapes over the years. From 1981's "Live At The Rainbow" to 1985's "Live After Death" to 1993's "Live At Donington", every era of their storied career has been commemorated with a live release.
Recorded throughout their 2016 - 2017 The Book of Souls World Tour, “The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter” was released on 17 November 2017. Iron Maiden's tour in support of 2015's "The Book Of Souls" album spanned 39 countries and six continents. Instead of picking one show from that tour and featuring its complete setlist, nearly every song on the album is from a different show (two were recorded at Castle Donington, UK). It was produced by Tony Newton, with Steve Harris serving as co-producer. The album makes band's first live album since 2002's "Beast Over Hammersmith" not to be produced by Kevin Shirley.
Since the tour was in support of "The Book Of Souls", six tracks of "The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter" are from that album including the 13 minute-plus “The Red and the Black” and the nearly 11 minute “The Book of Souls.” The rest of the set includes hits from throughout their career. No matter where they were recorded, from San Salvador, El Salvador (“The Trooper”) to Wacken, Germany (“The Number of the Beast”) to Sydney, Australia (“If Eternity Should Fall”), the fans are equally enthusiastic. They don't just sing along to the lyrics, they sing along to guitar riffs and instrumental breaks with the same amount of gusto.
Frontman Bruce Dickinson battled cancer prior to this tour, with tumors on the back of his tongue and in his neck. He took some time off to recover, and his voice is back at full strength. His legendary pipes sound as good as ever, having no problem hitting the high notes when needed.
Maiden are such a well-oiled machine, with the triple guitar attack of Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers operating at maximum efficiency. The rhythm section of Steve Harris and Nicko McBrain keep everything anchored, with Harris also co-producing the album.
One thing that's extremely refreshing is that after all these years, Maiden are still having fun. To adapt a line from Bon Jovi, on The Book of Souls World Tour Maiden played in front of two million faces, and they rocked them all! You'll hear it in all its glory on "The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter"!!

Special Edition re-release of the twelfth full-length album by the legendary German Thrash Metal.
It has been described as their most organic album to date because barring vocals, guitar solos and some melodies, the album was recorded in a live setting on an analog tape recorder with few overdubs. Mille Petrozza noted that this was the first time they have recorded an album this way since “Pleasure to Kill” in 1986. The immediately striking thing about “Hordes Of Chaos” is how wildly aggressive it is compared to the last two albums. While its recent predecessors were undoubtedly punishing, this album is unrelentingly brutal.
From here on out, Kreator lay waste to everything in their path, including those that believed Kreator would never again sound as passionate as they did in their youth. The guitar work is undeniably amazing. The guitar solos are like battles and as each solo winds down, the band take off at lightning speed, hitting the ground running each time with a sinister force and precision that comes only with age.
Overall, this is easily Kreator’s best of the new millennium. For that matter it’s also better than most of what they did during the 90s, when they were experimenting themselves out of the consciousness of metal fans. "Hordes Of Chaos" is a shining example of why tradition is going to force you to pay attention in 2009. This was the first Kreator album to chart in the United States, debuting at number 165 on the Billboard 200 chart in the US, with first week sales of approximately 2800 copies.

While never abandoning their myopic swords-and-sorcery themed Power Metal, Manowar had evolved musically during their first decade together and the music of this 1992 release benefits from what must have been countless hours woodshedding extreme musical figures.
It is the only Manowar album to feature guitarist David Shankle and drummer Kenny Earl "Rhino" Edwards.

The true birth of Thrash Metal! The album is acclaimed for combining the rawness and fast tempos of Speed Metal and Punk Rock with the technicality and sharpness of New Wave of British Heavy Metal, influenced by Diamond Head, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Black Flag and the Misfits, making it one of the earliest and most influential Thrash Metal albums ever recorded.
James Hetfield's highly technical rhythm guitar style drives most of the album, setting new standards of power, precision and stamina. But really, the rest of the band is just as dexterous, playing with tightly controlled fury even at the most ridiculously fast tempos. There are already several extended, multi-sectioned compositions foreshadowing the band's later progressive epics, though these are driven by adrenaline, not texture. Ex-member Dave Mustaine co-wrote four of the original ten tracks, but the material all sounds of a piece. The band's musical ambition also grew rapidly, so today, "Kill 'Em All" sounds more like the foundation for greater things to come. But that doesn't take anything away from how fresh it sounded upon first release, and time hasn't dulled the giddy rush of excitement in these performances. Frightening, awe-inspiring, and absolutely relentless, "Kill 'Em All" is pure destructive power, executed with jaw-dropping levels of scientific precision!!

Limited Deluxe Edition remastered re-release of the second full-length album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Album was released on July 27, 1984 through the independent record label Megaforce Records and was re-released on November 19, 1984 by Elektra Records. "Ride the Lightning" is the last Metallica album to credit former member, Dave Mustaine.
"Kill 'Em All" may have revitalized Heavy Metal's Underground, but "Ride The Lightning" was even more stunning, exhibiting staggering musical growth and boldly charting new directions that would affect Heavy Metal for years to come. Incredibly ambitious for a one-year-later sophomore effort, "Ride The Lightning" finds Metallica aggressively expanding their compositional technique and range of expression. Every track tries something new, and every musical experiment succeeds mightily. The lyrics push into new territory as well - more personal, more socially conscious, less Metal posturing. But the true heart of "Ride The Lightning" lies in its rich musical imagination. There are extended, progressive epics; tight, concise groove-rockers; thrashers that blow anything on "Kill 'Em All" out of the water, both in their urgency and the barest hints of melody that have been added to the choruses. “Ride The Lightning” retains the speed of “Kill 'Em All” on songs like "Trapped Under Ice" and "Fight Fire with Fire", but also contains the first of Metallica's longer, more intricate tracks, such as "Fade to Black" and the nearly 9-minute closing instrumental "The Call of Ktulu".
“Ride The Lightning” was certified Gold by the RIAA on November 5, 1987 and was most recently certified 5x Platinum on June 9, 2003. It was listed at number 3 on a list compiled by metal-rules.com of the “Top 100 Metal Albums of All Time” and #5 by IGN Music on the "Top 25 Metal Albums”.

This is a vast departure from the morbid Occult Black Metal with Arabic influences showcased in their earlier "Under The Moonspell" EP, instead delving deeper into the newly-born Gothic Metal sound and its aesthetics. The black metal is still present, though, but in a more melodic form, not unlike the one of the Greeks Rotting Christ (which, casually, would start their turn towards the Gothic side of the Metal spectrum one year after this was released), in the form of tremolo-picked riffs and harsh vocals, and the Folk elements are not quite the ethnic and Arabic influences of the EP, instead using flutes and cleanly sung vocals, thus having a more native (at times, bordering on Celtic) feel. Those influences are in perpetual clash with the Goth Rock influences, like the emotional, bordering on melodramatic baritone vocal performance (with spoken parts) and the abundance of ethereal synths which are the main contributors to the eerie, Dark, Gothic-Horror themed atmosphere of the music. There are some female vocals too, but, they are used not in the obnoxious 'Beauty-and-the-Beast' way, but as background vocals, for most of the time.
"Wolfheart" is a high watermark in modern Lusitanian musical culture, and it's highly recommended for people who have an interest in actual Goth Metal, which can keep a sinister vibe! A wild (midnight) ride!!

The seventh full-length studio album by legendary German Thrash Metal band.
Old-school Thrash Metal with a modern production! Band got a hell of a lot more pedigree than a lot of people realize. After hitting the scene during the first wave of Teutonic Thrash Metal, alongside their more famous contemporaries Destruction and Kreator, these guys seemed to fade very quickly into near-total obscurity. It wasn’t for a lack of output, rather it was a lack of the luck. They’ve been nothing if not persistent though, because aside from a hiatus at the latter end of the 90s, Necronomicon have diligently plugged away at supplying a steady string of always respectable releases over the years. Amongst them, this 2012 effort ranks quite highly indeed.
What becomes quickly evident when listening to "Invictus" is how much more refined the new Necronomicon's approach is. This album certainly represents the zenith of the progression they have undergone over the years. Gone is the rough appeal, and in its place you'll find first-rate songwriting and a highly professional, up-to-date production style. What’s impressive is that in the process, they have managed to retain most of the manic energy that German Thrash Metal is so renowned for, even if it has become a little watered down by influences from the American Bay Area scene. The trade-off actually results in a much more interesting album. Stylistically speaking, this is straight-up Thrash Metal!!
"Invictus" is the album that manages to hold its own against some of the best Thrash Metal releases of the past years!!!

"Nightlife" is the darkly orchestrated collaboration with producers Rollo, Craig Armstrong and David Morales, originally released in 1999. This Box Set features a brand new 2017 remaster of the original album. The album re-released with two "Further Listening" CDs, including exclusive, rare, unreleased tracks such as "Playing in the Streets", "Tall Thin Men" and "For All of Us", as well as demo versions of "Vampires", "Call Me Old-Fashioned" and "Radiophonic".
"Nightlife" is a loose concept album about nightlife, a collection of moods and themes, from love to loneliness. In that sense, it's not that different from most Pet Shop Boys albums, and, musically, the album is very much of a piece with Very and Bilingual, which is to say that it relies more on craft than on innovation. Depending on your point of view, this may not be such a bad thing, since Pet Shop Boys specialize in subtle craft and masterful understatement. Such skills serve them well when they're essentially following familiar musical territory, which they are on "Nightlife". At its core, the record is very much like Very - a clever, skillful updating of classic Disco, highlighted by small contemporary dance flourishes, and infused with a true sense of wit, sophistication, and intelligence. Pet Shop Boys do this music better than anyone else ever has, and they're at the top of their form here, but it's hard to shake the initial impression that they've done this before. Each individual song works beautifully, from the wistfully dejected "I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Any More" to the exhilarating Village People homage "New York City Boy," but as a whole, "Nightlife" seems less than the sum of its parts.
Unsurprisingly, the 100 minutes of "Further Listening 1996-2000" are equally varied, surprising, and sometimes just as good. Look beyond the demo versions of "Nightlife" tracks for quirky curiosities like the jazzy "Tall Thin Men" and seismically industrial "Playing in the Streets", and such forgotten gems as the shapeshifting instrumental "Casting a Shadow" and impossibly daring "Screaming" that sounds like nothing else from 1999!
If you overlooked Pet Shop Boys' mid-career albums, this, along with "Release" and "Fundamental" are worth a revisit – great value CD packages with loads of interesting and obscure stuff, including three rather strange ringtones that they produced!!
