The first compilation album by American Glam Metal band.
Big Bang Babies was a Sleaze Glam Metal band from Hollywood, California, playing during the 1990s. Their sound incorporated Rock, bubblegum Pop and Glam, with a Punky attitude.
The band was originally made up of singer Kit Ashley, guitarist Keri Kelli, bassist Tweety Boyd, and drummer Freddie Ferrin. Freddie Ferrin was replaced by drummer Keith Morgan (aka Keith Alan).
All five members later went on to play in other bands, most notably Keri Kelli, who has played with Alice Cooper, Ratt, Skid Row, Warrant, Poison, and Slash's Snakepit, among others.
This compilation has been re-mixed by Mike Slamer (Steelhouse Lane, Streets, City Boy) and you can find 11 lovely Power Pop/Glam Rock anthems with influences from bands such as Cheap Trick, Poison, Enuff Z´Nuff, PBF, etc. + you´ll get a fun version of the old x-mas smasher: “Winter Wonderland”. Fans of Pretty Boy Floyd might also recognize the song "Everybody Needs A Hero" as they later re-recorded the smash hit, here you can find the original version and it´s a great Glam rocker with a catchy chorus.

The second full-length studio album by legendary Scottish Rock band.
Big Country came out of one of the less dominant parts of the United Kingdom with an anthemic sound and vaguely revolutionary-sounding lyrics to captivate the British listening public and at least interest Americans. Big Country continued their winning ways at home with this, its second album, which topped the charts and produced three Top 40 hits: "East of Eden", "Where the Rose is Sown", and "Just a Shadow". But in the U.S., the album was perceived as proving that the band's sound, guitars-as-bagpipes, courtesy of the E-Bow, was a one-time novelty, while Stuart Adamson's lyrics, full of British socialist working-class fervour, seemed jingoistic and pretentious. Nevertheless, much of the music, as on the first album, made for stirring Rock & Roll.
Clanging and crackling with energy, this album from Big Country rings natural evolutionary changes on the band's stirring twin-guitar sound even as it frames still better news: bandleader Stuart Adamson has rapidly matured into a songwriter capable of bringing meticulous craft to his obvious passion.
"Steeltown" is the band's only UK number 1 album, topping the chart for 1 week in October 1984. "East of Eden" was the only Top 20 Single from the album, reaching number 17 in the UK Singles Chart.

The debut full-length studio album by American Country/Classic Rock musician, songwriter and producer, known for his work with Grateful Dead band.
Bill Cutler arrived in San Francisco in 1970, spent the following decades producing other people’s records, and on his first album we can hear all those influences and experiences. His guitar and high tenor anchor these self-penned, intelligent Rock ’n’ Roll songs, covering the range of styles you’d expect from a musician who came of age in the 60s and 70s.
"Crossing The Line" is a nice piece of work finished after 30 years in the making. Singing lead vocals and playing rhythm guitar on 14 original songs, Cutler is joined on his new album by many of the legendary Bay Area musicians he has worked with in the past. The first half was recorded back in the 1970s at Wally Heider's Studios in San Francisco, with Steve Barncard engineering, and a great bunch of players, including Jerry Garcia and Scotty Quik on lead guitars, Austin deLone on keys, Pat Campbell on bass, and Carl Tassi on drums. Those tracks were not completed at the time and remained unfinished, until Bill finally recorded the second half of this album in 2000, using some of the same musicians, along with lead guitarists Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Miller, Mark Karan, David Nelson, and Barry Sless on various tracks. The original analog tapes have been restored and given a state-of-the-art sound by engineer/mixer Russell Bond. Six of tracks were recorded with Jerry Garcia (ex- Grateful Dead; R.I.P.). The other included stalwarts are Bob Weir, Jeff Watson, Matthew Kelly, and Michael Falzarano.
But before you go thinking this is a long lost Grateful Dead album, think again, because the credit here should go to Cutler. Although it may sound a bit like "In The Dark"’s long lost cousin, Cutler is front and center with his vocals, which are most impressive, along with the crisp production that screams old-school glory.  There are many keepers here, including “Ridin’ High”, “Starlite Jamboree”, and “Rockingham Mill”, all of which dance to their own groovy beat.
After listening the whole album, you will hear the work of someone who really knows his hooks. Since it’s a producer’s album, every note is in its place and every instrument’s tone is pure. It’s great to hear Garcia’s unmistakable solos in this context, especially on the warm, extended, two-chord jam ending “Delta Nightingale” and, weirdly, on “Starlite Jamboree”, which is Bill’s eulogy for Jerry. This is the advantage to developing an album’s worth of tracks over about 20 years! As a songwriter, performer, producer and manager, Bill Cutler continues to work in all aspects of today’s music business. So, don’t let another 30 years pass you by before giving this one a spin!!

European edition of the debut full-length album by the Spanish Black Metal band.
Band emerged in November 2008 from the ashes of Fatal Portrait. After many conversations, three of the original founders of Fatal Portrait (Varhken, Phallux and Orgen) developed a new Black Metal project. While the new project was coming into shape, the guys got in touch with Pulsarth (from Noesis, a band where Phallux and Varhken also play) and asked him to be in charge of the bass.
In January 2009, the line up was completed with Abathor (from Gathering Darkness and Detriment Sorrow) as second guitarist. It was then when the composition works started; ten different songs were developed but only seven of them were finally recorded in Novermber at Khazad-Dûm studios, where the owner, Erun-Dagoth (Briargh, Hrizg, ex-CrystalMoors, Eldereon, Moonshine) produced the material, recorded, mixed and mastered all the songs that presented on the album.

The debut full-length album by Finnish Stoner Metal/Rock band.
The Finnish foursome plays their brand of music hard and heavy focusing on the power of the riff and an aggressive vocal style from vocalist Jason.
The nine songs here are rather angry. The music of this band is melodic and full of energy, staying far from those Stoner bands that uses a dusty and raw sound quality. Some parts sound modern and abrasive, but they have also some more melodic and musically accessible parts. Here everything is clear, with very good musical arrangements, and their musical influences are not locked in the past. Very good musical arrangements and the vocals are very good, using a fine diversity of tunes; the guitars are doing an excellent work on the riffs, the rhythmic kitchen is doing a fine job, guiding the tempos and giving the band a good musical range, and this all is fused to create a fine kind of music. The band creates a riff factory of guitar lines and ensure that Pete’s Bass and Mikko’s drums are straight in your face. With simplistic song structures and the focus placed heavily on the groove, Black .44 does a nice job bringing their anger out into each track. Jason’s vocals are far from perfect, but work very effectively on No Blanks.
The sound quality they got is very, very good. Their music sound clean and heavy in the due proportions, creating something that sound aggressive and full of energy, but with clearness to understand what the band is playing.
Songs like “The Red Saint” and “The Outlaw” are ass-kickers with infectious riff work and can be compared to a more modern Metallica at least as far as the guitar licks go. The comparisons stop there though. The energetic and powerful "Overcome" (with some modern touches and very good use of vocal tunes' variations), the almost commercial song "Into The Grace", and the slow and bitter "Born Wrong" can be said as their best moments, besides the album is entirely very good.
Overall, "No Blanks" is a great debut from a band up North. This band has a future!

The second full-length studio album by American Thrashing Black Metal band.
"Triumvirate"’s assault is powerful, primal, and pure; capturing and channelling the spirit of Metal’s earliest trailblazers through a 21st century urban hostility. The second album from New York trio is as churning and rage-filled as its predecessor. Their sound is very slightly cleaned up from the debut, which had almost the same falling-apart quality as the Hellhammer demos, to which they were so clearly indebted (hell, the album ended with a cover of Celtic Frost's "Dethroned Emperor"!). It's still rough, Grim Black/Death Metal, though, with the band members' Hardcore roots showing through. The music is heavier than most Old-School Black Metal, with plenty of bass and a hard, thwacking drum sound; these guys aren't concerned with retaining a lo-fi sound.
This is not a particularly ambitious album -- Black Anvil have little interest in being progressive, lyrically or musically. But when taken on its own guttural, hyperaggressive terms, it's an absolute success!  "Triumvirate" unquestionably leaves Black Anvil’s enduring, pitch-black mark on the Metal world!!

Black Label Society already has a previous hits collection entitled "The Kings Of Damnation" that was released a few years back. For whatever reason their previous label, Eagle Rock Entertainment, have seen fit to issue another hits compilation from America's favorite beer-bellied, scruffy, shredder Zakk Wylde. It's not an entirely bad idea as "Skullage" doubles audio collection that covers everything from "Pride & Glory" to "Shot To Hell". Everyone has a favorite Black Label Society album and chances are there will be something that gets missed.
"Skullage" highly recommended as a starter package to those who are considering enlisting in their regional chapter of the Black Label Society!

The second full-length studio album by Italian Heavy Metal band.
Black Phantom is a melodic Metal band formed in 2014 by bassist Andrea Tito. He started while his former band, Mesmerize, went on hiatus. With this time and resolve, he and his formed group produced their first album, “Better Beware”. Now, debuting their sophomore album, it’s a high-octane Metal act that should satisfy fans of traditional Thrash and early Power Metal.
"Zero Hour Is Now" is a really spirited, lively album made in the NWBHM style of Iron Maiden.  Black Phantom is a band that is more than capable of this type of music and displays it well on this album.
These are one of those bands that has their own distinct song style. However, that’s not necessarily as bad thing, as they’re a talented band. Vocally, the operatic clarity and are on point, as are the instrumentals. The clarity of the vocals and the range of the melody are impressive. The guitar solos are all complex with intricate melodies that showcase true talent.
If you’re a fan of Billy Talent, Avenged Sevenfold or Iron Maiden, this is definitely a band you should check out! However, if you’re not a fan of same-sounding songs, still check it out!!

The album was released on 10 June in Europe and 11 June in North America, via Vertigo Records and Republic Records in the US, and via Vertigo Records worldwide. It is the first studio album released by Black Sabbath since “Forbidden” (1995), and their first studio recording with original singer Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler since the live album “Reunion” (1998), which contained two new studio tracks. It is also the first studio album with Osbourne since “Never Say Die!” (1978), and with Butler since “Cross Purposes” (1994).
The original lineup of Black Sabbath first began work on a new studio album in 2001 with producer Rick Rubin. The album's development was delayed because Osbourne was in the middle of finishing his eighth solo album “Down to Earth”, and the rest of the band members eventually went on to pursue other projects, including GZR and Heaven & Hell. When Black Sabbath announced their reunion on 11 November 2011, the band announced that they would restart work on a new album with Rubin. In addition to original members Osbourne, Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi, they were joined at the recording sessions by drummer Brad Wilk, of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, following original drummer Bill Ward's decision to not participate in the reunion, due to a "contractual dispute".
For the cover artwork for was created an 8-foot-tall "13" from wicker, which was then set on fire in the Buckinghamshire countryside. The flames were visible for miles. The image was shot for album's cover.
Album reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart after its first week of sales. It is the band's first album to top the UK chart since “Paranoid” (1970). Osbourne was said to be "in shock" at the album's success, remarking that the band has "never had a record climb the charts so fast" before. The album also reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 charts, selling over 155,000 copies in the first week. Osbourne said, "There have been so many amazing highlights in our long career. To finally have our first #1 album in the U.S. is another incredible milestone for Black Sabbath." In its second week of release, the album fell to No. 5 in the US, selling 46,000, totaling 201,000 copies, and in its third week, 13 sold over 26,000 bringing its total sales to 227,000 copies in the US. The album also debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart with 25,000 units sold.
