Remastered re-release of the eighth full-length album by the cult Polish Heavy/Thrash Metal band.
Turbo is one of the most underrated bands ever. Even though most Metal fans are probably unfamiliar with them, Turbo has actually been an active force in the Polish Metal scene over the last twenty years. The band's style of bloodthirsty Thrash was made famous throughout Poland until the early nineties when Turbo mysteriously decided to call it quits. Turbo have released seven albums between 1980 and 1991 before disappearing in the mists of time. Especially their early to middle era is said to have been excellent. After a near decade of hiatus, Turbo reunited, but with a slight change under their belts. The band's first record since their reunion was "Awatar", which seemed great at first for all those that supported them, but hardcore fans of the band were surprised by Turbo's decision to substitute Thrash for their main inspiration: Traditional Heavy Metal.
Turbo decided to abandon most of their Thrash elements by switching to a Traditional Metal sound on "Awatar", and it was a successful transition. To describe "Awatar" is no easy task for sure, because the gentlemen from Poland try to elude categorization. What the whole album is featuring are pretty modern sounding guitars, sometimes even down-tuned a little. The whole endeavor sounds quite modern, but without trying to emulate the successful Nu Metal-formula. Modern Thrash is the label that could best be attached to the quartet, but still doesn't fully fit, because Turbo still are more variable than most bands of that style. 
The overall music isn't as fast as some of Turbo's previous material, but most of the songs manage to sound enjoyably heavy. The riffing is focused around Turbo's native style of Heavy Metal with small touches of Prog and Thrash. Fans of Thrash will probably enjoy the middle of "Spectre in the Opera" when Turbo launches a monster Thrash riff that has Slayer worship written all over it. This is, however, one of the few examples of Thrash on this album; there are small portions of Thrash riffing throughout the course of this album, but most of the featured guitar work resembles Turbo's Traditional Metal roots the most.
Album have the quite variable song-writing and some good vocal-lines, which fit the material very well, Grzegorz Kupczyk has a really good voice. He has fantastic singing voice that he applies a majority of the time.
There are two versions of album available - with Polish lyrics and with English lyrics. Also the guitar mix differs between the editions. This CD is a version with Polish lyrics.
Even though this isn't the best offering this band has done, "Awatar" is still a decent record with some great qualities. Highly recommended to check this one out if you like Traditional Metal or have had previous experiences with Turbo!!

Remastered re-release of the seventh full-length album by the cult Polish Heavy/Thrash Metal band.
Originally released in 1992, "One Way" is now remastered in a limited-edition digipack from Poland's Metal Mind Productions - complete with bonus tracks and an alternate track listing.
This stuff is totally impressive, timeless; you will believe it was recorded way back in 1985-86. This overwhelming brutality was pretty impossible to find on most of Thrash albums of the 90’s. While everybody else was becoming mellow and decadent, these guys brought back the adorable sonic bestiality, evil imagery and genuine spirit of the subgenre. Numbers like “Regression” or “End User” make it clear: there’s no time for sophistication and melody, just aggression and velocity. Huge riffs that might not be the most elaborated and spectacular, define a very harsh sound that achieves a level of intensity and roughness that could make Sodom and Kreator feel quite jealous.
With roots stemming back to 1980, Turbo apparently opted for a more modern and brutal sound on "One Way", but it all comes off as pretty old school to ears. Based on the cover and song titles ("Regression", "Blasphemy", "Scum", "Mental Alienation", "Disaster Area"), you know what you're getting with this reissue!
Turbo were the leaders of their country underground movement, with all honours as records like this prove. That’s the way pure Thrash used to be in the good old times!!
This CD preserves that moment of glory they once reached, don’t hesitate to check it out.

Remastered re-release of the second compilation album by the legendary American Rock‘n’Roll/Glam/Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band.
Compilation of rare or never released studio versions of original songs that Twisted Sister performed while playing the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut club circuit from 1978-1981.
"Rock will live tomorrow, but disco has to die today" - the line sung by a young and defiant Dee Snider during "Rock 'N' Roll Saviors" in 1978 summed up much about the fiercely independent approach that Twisted Sister would take after he joined the band in 1976. Originally billing itself as the New Jersey version of the New York Dolls and covering Glam classics of the day after Jay Jay French formed the act in 1972, it would be Snider's entry that breathed new life into Twisted SIister. Snider's larger-than-life stage presence, enormous songwriting contributions, and his urging to retain the Glam roots/image but move into a Harder Rock and, ultimately, Heavy Metal direction would result in Twisted Sister becoming kings of the club circuit and set the stage for later commercial successes. Those stories and more are contained in the extensive liner notes included with this second reissue of "Club Daze Volume I: The Studio Sessions", a 13-track collection of songs recorded in 1978-1979 and 1981 ("Shoot 'Em Down") that offer new fans a view into the Rock 'n Roll roots and old fans a chance to revisit lost classics.
Those only familiar with the '80s output may be surprised to hear the staunch 1970s Rock and Hard Rock sounds characteristic of many of these songs. Cuts like "Follow Me", "Can't Stand Still", and the sizzling "Lady's Boy" are reminiscent to varying degrees of everyone from Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes (and similar Detroit Rock acts) and Chuck Berry to T. Rex and Brownsville Station. AC/DC was an admitted influence on Snider, the fat bass/drum propulsion and basic riffing also noticeable, while Slade figured in to Glam shaded, Pop-influenced cuts like "I'll Never Grow Up, Now", which would hint at the hooks 'n attitude sound the band perfected in the 80s. Also included is the original, rougher-edged cover version of "Leader Of The Pack", which would later show up on 1985's "Come Out And Play" to a less than enthusiastic fan response. "Under The Blade" and "Shoot 'Em Down" were most indicative of the Metal direction in which the band was headed, both tracks ending up on debut full-length "Under The Blade".
Depending on your completist proclivities, "Club Daze Volume I: The Studio Sessions" is a nicely packaged collection of some pretty darn good '70s Rock tunes that probably escaped the radar of many fans outside of the New York/New Jersey area. Those Twisted Sister fans that missed the 1999 Spitfire of the album are strongly advised to snap up this Armoury remaster!

The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band.
After the commercial disappointment of "Come Out And Play" it was to be a two year gap before Twisted Sister would release their fifth studio album. AJ Pero had vacated the drum stool to be replaced by Joey "Seven" Franco but the nucleus of Twisted Sister was still together and looking back on this album, it was panned by the music press and manage to receive even worse reviews than "Come Out And Play", it should now be considered an undiscovered gem amongst band's fans worldwide.
Album was strongly influenced by Hair Metal bands, although the band split after its release and had a lot of conflicts with this record which led to a split. The album was originally supposed to be a Dee Snider solo record but the record company demanded it be recorded and released as Twisted Sister. "Love Is For Suckers" was released by Atlantic Records on August 13, 1987. The tour for the album ended in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 10, 1987. Two days later, on October 12, 1987, vocalist Dee Snider announced his departure from the band.
The Twisted Sister sound and image had also changed from the bestial, back street brawling racket of "Stay Hungry", "You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll" and the excellent "Under The Blade". Perhaps this was more to do with America's white middle class trying to stop the likes of Twisted Sister denigrating the masses with their perverted and unsolicited music or the bands new found financial happiness but for whatever reason Twisted Sister had lost something and "Love Is For Suckers" was to be the bands final studio release.
This would be Twisted Sister's final studio album, as all albums since have been compilations or live albums (with the exception of 2004's "Still Hungry" which was a rerecording of 1984's "Stay Hungry" and "A Twisted Christmas" in 2006).
Dee Snider has stated that he likes many of the songs on the album, vocally. However he feels that if they play any of them live, it may bring back bad memories for the band. No songs from this album appeared on the band's 1992 greatest hits album "Big Hits And Nasty Cuts".
There have been conflicting reports over the years as to exactly what the recording line-up for the album was. Jay Jay French, Eddie Ojeda and Mark "The Animal" Mendoza are all credited in their normal roles but some or all of the guitars and bass were recorded by credited guest musician Reb Beach.
Looking back now "Love Is For Suckers", whilst not reaching quite up to the bands early rabble rousing, street fighting, brash and over the top standards of early releases still makes a great noise! Sounding more aggressive and eager to amend previous misdemeanors, Snider and Co. deliver an album containing more than a few stand out, trade mark Twisted Sister anthems.
So, here we have a lost classic and one of the best and most overlooked Rock albums of the late 80's!!

According to RIAA certification, "Stay Hungry" is the band's most successful album by far and the only certified Platinum. Eventually the album gained multi-Platinum status with U.S. sales of more than 3.000.000 copies by 1995.

From the solid sales of their independently released debut album, 1982's "Under The Blade", New York's Twisted Sister were finally rewarded with a major record label contract, courtesy of the Atlantic, who issued their first domestic release, "You Can't Stop Rock & Roll", a year later.
The album followed the same Raw Heavy Metal direction of their debut, and was even more consistent from a songwriting and performance standpoint. The title track is a new recording of the track "Can't Stop Rock And Roll" which appeared on the compilation "Son Of Homegrown" in 1982.
Several of Twisted Sister's best anthems reside her, the title track (which was one of the band's first videos to be aired on MTV), as well as "The Kids Are Back", "We're Gonna Make It", and "I Am (I'm Me)". But besides a ballad that vocalist Dee Snider wrote especially for his wife, "You're Not Alone (Suzette's Song)", the album consists of 100 percent Heavy Metal - "Like a Knife in the Back", "Ride to Live, Live to Ride", "I've Had Enough", and "I'll Take You Alive".
The songs "The Kids Are Back", "I Am (I'm Me)," and the album's title track were released as Singles. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA in November 1995, for selling over 500,000 copies in the USA. The fourth full-length studio album by legendary British Heavy Metal band.
"The Cage" marked a move in a more commercial direction, selling over 200 000 copies and giving birth to two top 50 songs in the UK, namely the covers of Leiber & Stoller's song "Love Potion No. 9", performed by The Clovers, and the lesser-known RPM song "Rendezvous". Another Single, charted at 63, was the Steve Thompson song "Paris by Air".
It was shortly after producing this album that the band split for the first time, due to tensions with their record company. Robb Weir and Brian Dick then formed the band Sergeant.

If you’re the kind of fan of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s Melodic Rock scene that still follows the bands all these years later, you’re no doubt aware of the fact that the original Tyketto lineup is back together and has a new album out. Tyketto’s latest, titled "Dig In Deep" is their first album since 1995’s "Shine". It’s not "Shine" that Tyketto has to follow-up here though. With the original lineup – Danny Vaughn, Brooke St. James, Jimi Kennedy and Michael Clayton – intact, fans are looking for an album that is worthy of 1991’s "Don’t Come Easy" and 1994’s "Strength In Numbers", two of the best Melodic Rock albums that decade had to offer.
The band members haven’t exactly been sitting idle these past two decades. Vocalist Danny Vaughn in particular has maintained a successful solo career as well as his From The Inside side-project. As a result, "Dig in Deep" sounds like what it is, the work of seasoned veterans who are older and wiser, but no less optimistic than they were back in 1991. It’s not as instantly memorable as "Don’t Come Easy" was, with its dynamite hooks and radio-ready singles, but "Dig In Deep" definitely has the Tyketto spirit, especially in the lyrics. You hear it the most on the album’s Harder Rocking songs, like the dynamic opener “Faithless” and the stomping “The Fight Left in Me”, which features some blistering guitar work from St. James and could have come straight from "Strength In Numbers". The rest of the album alternates between the kind of mid-tempo melodic rockers and Eagles-like slower songs you’d find on one of Danny Vaughn’s solo albums. That’s not a bad thing, given how good a songwriter Vaughn is, but at the same time songs like “Here’s Hoping It Hurts” and “Monday” don’t stand out clearly as Tyketto songs.
We’re not getting another "Don’t Come Easy" here, but that was probably an unreasonable expectation in the first place. What we are getting in "Dig In Deep" is a smooth Melodic Rock album with a solid Rock 'n' Roll backbone, real heart and soul, top-notch musicianship and vocals to die for, and that’s not a bad deal at all. "Dig In Deep" is a welcome comeback from one of the best, and most consistently overlooked, bands in Melodic Rock! Tyketto return with a stellar album for AOR and early 90’s Rock fans around the world. Sounding as if they found a time machine back to 1991 the band puts out a devastatingly brilliant release!!

The 30th Anniversary Edition re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary American Gothic/Doom Metal band.
This album combines melancholy beauty, found in songs such as “Christian Woman”, common Metal brutality, found in songs such as “Too Late: Frozen”, and even Hardcore influenced craziness found in songs such as “We Hate Everyone”, which fuses 80s Hardcore/Punk with a Doom Metal midsection with the greatest of ease. Harsh Metal vocals and screams here, Peter Steele manages to galvanize the Gothic atmosphere by adding a nearly inhumane vocal sound to the mix.
This is probably their Darkest, Doomiest release. It's definitely their most Goth release, though. Peter Steele is certainly no mall Goth type person, and it's funny how he pokes fun at those types with “Black No. 1”. A fan of any form of extreme music be it Metal or Hardcore can probably find something that they like on this album since this album manages to fuse all these different types of music together and then envelop it in a Gothic atmosphere. It is certainly their darkest, most depressive release.
"Bloody Kisses" comes the first album on Roadrunner Records to ever reach Gold and Platinum status.
Strongly recommended to Doom fans, Goth fans and Metal fans in general!

The second re-release of the seventh and the final full-length studio album by legendary American Gothic/Doom Metal band.
Album was released before the death of frontman Peter Steele.
The band uses studio drums instead of a drum machine for the first time since their third album, "Bloody Kisses". Thus, it remains the only Type O Negative studio album with Johnny Kelly's actual playing, as he was only "credited" as the drummer on the three albums prior to "Dead Again".
Unbelievably heavy Sludge riffs are still a main ingredient, as well as singer Pete Steele's ongoing "Kill me, I'm in agony" lyrics, and vocals that sometimes sound quite Bela Lugosi-esque. The album-opening title track may very well be the most melodic song the band has ever recorded, but the Type O Negative we all know and love is lurking right around the bend, especially on such tracks as "The Profits of Doom" (the album's original working title), "She Burned Me Down," and "An Ode to Locksmiths," the latter of which contains a guitar riff so Tony Iommi-esque that it sounds straight off of "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath".
The cover photo is a portrayal of Grigori Rasputin, the Russian mystic and associate of Tsar Nicholas II. The photograph on the back was taken in 1906, showing four young women of the Tsarist family, identified left to right as Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia Nikolaevna. The lettering is in a faux-Cyrillic font.
Reception for this album was quite positive among fans and critics, and received the highest chart position for the band yet.
With "Dead Again", Type O Negative delivers another album of dark tales and even darker riffs, and will reassure morose metalheads that they can still count on Steele to spread the misery.

The album's title and content refer primarily to frontman Peter Steele's dissatisfied life outlook and experiences with mental illness at the time of writing and production, with lyrics concerning relationship problems and the illness and death of his parents.
The album reached No. 39 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 27 000 copies in its first week, and received positive reviews from music critics, who noted a more melodic sound in comparison to previous records. "I Don't Wanna Be Me" was released as a promotional single, for which a music video was produced. "(We Were) Electrocute" was featured on the soundtrack to the 2003 horror film "Freddy vs. Jason".

Re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary American Gothic/Thrash/Hardcore/Doom Metal band.
The album, originally titled "None More Negative" and released in 1990 under the band's former name Repulsion, launched the band's career.
"Slow, Deep And Hard" is a darkly humorous, semi-autobiographical album with tracks 1, 3, 4 and 7 based on a failed relationship of vocalist/bass guitarist Peter Steele. The album's other tracks are "Der Untermensch" (Steele's controversial critique of people, frequently immigrants, abusing the American welfare system), "Glass Walls of Limbo (Dance Mix)" (a facetiously titled Ambient Industrial soundscape) and "The Misinterpretation of Silence and its Disastrous Consequences" (a literal minute of silence).
In keeping with the band's notable humour, the album's cover artwork is a blurred image of sexual penetration.

30th Anniversary Edition, the first official re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary American Gothic/Thrash/Hardcore/Doom Metal band.
Type O Negative has always had a strange and twisted sense of humour. But nowhere is this more obvious than on this album. They have given us some strange liner notes at times, but this album really is the go-to point if you want to tell someone how weird this band is.
The album was designed to mimic a live performance, with fake audience noise and comedic interruptions like a staged bomb threat, satirizing a previous tour controversy. The initial release featured an extreme close-up of an anus, reportedly belonging to frontman Peter Steele. Later reissues feature different cover art, such as a stylized "Dance of Death" painting.
Now, the craziest part about this album is that it is supposed to be a live album, because the band's label Roadrunner had it written in the contract that Type O Negative was to record a live album. However, the band allegedly took the money they were supposed to spend on producing the live album on cheap vodka instead. Realizing they needed to fulfil their contractual obligations, the band simply re-recorded their debut album, "Slow Deep And Hard", added a couple of songs and retitled some other songs and then added fake crowd noise… But they did not stop there. It would be too easy to simply add in crowd noise. No, Type O Negative added in chants of "You Suck!" and improvised a fight between Steele and the fans, with Steele yelling "You suck too" at one point in the album and then making fun of the crowd because he's getting paid to play, and the crowd had to pay to get in. At about the midway point, the band claimed it had to stop playing because there was a bomb threat in the concert hall. After a few seconds of silence, they began playing again…
Beyond the insanity of the fake crowd, the music is very impressive, and it does sound as if they are playing live. The first seven tracks are the fake concert, and then the band adds in a very interesting cover of the Black Sabbath classic "Paranoid" for the final track.
The musicianship is tight and is held together well despite the often changing tempos. Type O Negative will never be mistaken for an incredibly musically talented act. But that is okay, because the band plays just well enough to sound fine playing the style of music they play. They have always been able to write long, multipart epic songs and this has been their best musical quality. Here, for example, we have the fifteen-minute opener "I Know You're Fucking Someone Else", which lays the groundwork for the rest of the album. The band's style is a form of Gothic Metal, incorporating various influences such as Black Sabbath and The Beatles. They take those influences and slow them down and twist them to form a sound that is unlike any other band. The track "Hey Peter" is a rearranging of the Jimi Hendrix song "Hey Joe" about a jealous lover ready to kill his cheating girlfriend. Here, Peter Steele replaces the gun with an axe. The last track is a morosely slow adaptation of the Black Sabbath classic "Paranoid". Somehow, the band stretches it out more than twice as long as the original.
Overall, this is a very fun listen. The humour involved keeps things light and interesting, despite the very dark subject. At all, Type O Negative never did record a real live album.
Remastered re-release on a double Green/Black Marbled vinyl in gatefold cover features original censored cover art with peelable scratch n’ sniff sticker surprise. The release also includes Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" cover song as a bonus track, and an exclusive fold-out colour poster of the 1493 painting “The Dance of Death”.
