The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Funk/Soul/Pop singer.
Jackson's first album released through Epic Records, and the first produced by Quincy Jones, whom he met while working on the 1978 film "The Wiz". Michael Jackson had released four solo albums before, but this was his breakthrough, the album that established him as an artist of astonishing talent and a bright star in his own right. This was a visionary album, a record that found a way to break Disco wide open into a new world where the Beat was undeniable, but not the primary focus - it was part of a colourful tapestry of lush Broadway ballads and strings, smooth Soul and Pop, R&B, Soft Rock, and alluring Funk. Its roots hearken back to the Jacksons' huge mid '70s hit "Dancing Machine", but this is an enormously fresh record, one that remains vibrant and giddily exciting years after its release. This is certainly due to Jackson's emergence as a blindingly gifted vocalist, equally skilled with overwrought ballads as driving dance-floor shakers, where his asides are as gripping as his delivery on the verses. It's also due to the brilliant songwriting, an intoxicating blend of strong melodies, rhythmic hooks, and indelible construction. Most of all, its success is due to the sound constructed by Jackson and producer Quincy Jones, a dazzling array of Disco Beats, Funk guitars, clean mainstream Pop, and unashamed schmaltz that is utterly thrilling in its utter joy. This is highly professional, highly crafted music, and its details are evident, but the overall effect is nothing but pure pleasure. Jackson and Jones expanded this approach to the blockbuster Thriller, often with equally stunning results, but they never bettered it.
The album features songwriting contributions from Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Rod Temperton, Tom Bahler, and David Foster, alongside tracks penned by Jackson himself.
"Off The Wall" was a significant departure from Jackson's previous work for Motown and was hailed as a major breakthrough for him. In retrospect, writers have hailed it a landmark release of the Disco era and, along with his next album "Thriller" (1982), among the greatest albums in history. The album peaked at number three on the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart and number one on the Top Black Albums chart, staying at number one on the latter for 16 weeks, and was an enormous critical success. Five Singles were released from the album. Jackson wrote three songs, including the Billboard Hot 100 number-one Single "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough", his first solo number-one Single in the United States since "Ben" seven years prior. The second single, "Rock with You", also topped the chart. With following Singles "Off the Wall" and "She's Out of My Life" also reaching the US top 10, Jackson became the first solo artist to have four Singles from the same album reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
"Off The Wall" has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. On February 2, 2021, it was certified 9× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the US. At the 1980 Grammy Awards, it was nominated for two Grammy Awards, with Jackson winning "Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male" for "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". In 2008, "Off The Wall" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

The debut full-length studio album by Brazilian Doom Metal band.
The band comes from Bauru, São Paulo and is undoubtedly one of the largest formations of Doom Metal currently in Brazil. They've released some demos and were featured in many magazines in the respective sections.
Their Doom Metal is typical with dense guitars, melancholic melodies, vocals with clean, aggressive and harsh passages, and a cohesive kitchen. The band recalls the best moments of Trouble, Memento Mori, Memory Garden, Katatonia and Candlemas, with alternating fast and rhythmic passages.
The CD includes two re-recorded tracks from demos "Self Liberty" and "Lamúria". Also it's contains good done track "Solitude", cover of Candlemass.

For the first time on vinyl, the seventeenth full-length studio album by legendary British Progressive/Ambient/Experimental Pop/Rock musician.
In 1992, after leaving Virgin, Mike signed a three album contract with Warner records. Starting with "Tubular Bells II", "Voyager" was the last of the three, recorded to finish this contract off. Oldfield stayed with Warner until 2003, where his final album for the label was "Tubular Bells 2003".
Released in 1996 by Warner Music UK, it is a Celtic-themed album with new compositions intertwined with traditional pieces. The suggestion of doing a Celtic album came from the record company, who no doubt had in mind the popularity of acts such as Riverdance at the time. Mike liked the idea, feeling that Celtic music was easy for him, as his natural way of playing music is rooted in Celtic playing styles. What emerged was a very calm, relaxed album, with this feel influenced by Mike's then recent discoveries of meditations and Tai Chi. In an interview from the time, Oldfield claimed that the album was one of his quickest to create, only taking a month and a half to record, also claiming that he composed and recorded some songs in one morning.

The album contains content Shinoda recorded mostly by himself, but additional instruments were played by Linkin Park drummer Rob Bourdon, Darren King, and Boonn, with the content having been written by Shinoda after the death of his Linkin Park bandmate Chester Bennington on July 20, 2017. The fourth full-length album by Italian Death Metal band.
This Italian Extreme Metal mongers having been active from the late 1980s although originally as Satan’s Slaughter, and then into the early 90s as Chemiotherapy before altering their moniker again in 1992.
Although Mind Snare incorporates elements of Grind at times, this is very much a decomposing brand of vintage Death Metal propelled by those deep, guttural vocal bellows and a slick, trundling bass which burrows its way through the heavy wall of raging guitar and slamming percussion.
It seems only obvious that there will be a number of influences, ranging from Suffocation to Dutch Deathsters Gorefest as well as Deicide in parts. It’s also no surprise that the themes centred upon concern death, hate and all-round aggression, enabling the likes of "Entrenched In Agony", "Deceived Humanity", "Mutilated Meaning Of Life" et al to do the simple job of extracting blood and smearing it up the walls. It’s pretty brutal stuff in that vintage, straightforward style and only occasionally hinting at technicality, and why try harder when the ingredients for the formula work so well?
In life there are times when you just want the simple things, and Mind Snare have offered up a modest slab of bruising Death Metal that should happily embed itself into the flesh of anyone with a penchant for that classic late 80's and early 90's Death Metal butchery.

The second full-length album by American-Italian Speed/Thrash Metal band.
Old School Thrash Metal is a dying breed and the Metal scene could definitely use more of it. Mindwars' second album “Sworn To Secrecy” is an above average Thrash album.
The opening title track fires right out of the gate and gives a nice slab of Thrash Metal. It does feature an excellent guitar solo about half way through, so fast that it would make Slayer. The album continues the same way until the third track “Lies”, that has Thrashy parts but it also has some mid paced moments. “Helpless” is another good track...
The drums and bass are standouts, by Roby and Danny respectively, providing a good low end that actually works with the production, giving the songs more heft than they would otherwise. When the guitars really start to groove, the bass really holds up, providing a battering ram of power. Roby is very powerful behind the kit, as any Thrash drummer should be. If you like snare and cymbals, you'll really have a smile as you listen to him hammer in your skull like a champ. Mike really shines as a guitarist; he can go from Thrash to Groove in no time and his solos are fast, furious and to the point...
All in all, it is a good Thrash album that harkens back to the golden days of the genre.
Recommended for fans of old Megadeth as well as fans of all kinds of Old School Thrash Metall!!

The debut full-length album by American Speed/Thrash Metal band.
Mindwars was born in 2013 and masterminded by Roby Vitary, former member of Jester Beast and Mike Alvord, ex- Holy Terror. Funnily enough, they had met while touring in Europe in 1989 with their former bands, even funnier is the fact that they had roots connection through families, that is a Italian connection through their Grandparents in Calabria region, Southern Of Italy, after 25 years they decided to get together and the result was this excellent Speed Thrash Metal band.
The original voice of the band- prototype could not fulfill its duties (R.I.P. Keith!), and that is why Mr. Alvord had occupied the microphone. It has been a difficult decision, because the vocals in the album are supported of too much hard studio work, and definitely are sung at the level of a layman. This adds an archaic sound to the recording. The more melodic decisions in the guitars as well as in the singing relate Mindwars to Melodic Thrash Metal of the late Whiplash, Laaz Rockit, Forte or Believer.
The concept of the album has also a taste of the 80's with a tiny note of selfishness. The demonstration of acoustic virtuosity is presented in the introduction and in the remarkable Thrash Metal ballad "Lost". The quotes from the news are also in the style of the 80's and the 90's but we missed them for a long time to replace the interactive noise of pseudo-sensations.
"The Enemy Within", although it contains retrospections, is a very serious hit in the Melodic Thrash Metal style. The remarkable thing in it is the unique and mature approach toward riffs and music, with which Mike Alvord bursts out after the times of silence. They are unique, musical, and social. They bring back to us values that we are preparing to leave behind!!
