The first compilation album of remixes by legendary American Pop singer.
The album contains remixes of tracks from her first three studio albums, "Madonna" (1983), "Like A Virgin" (1984) and "True Blue" (1986), and a new track, "Spotlight".
In the 1980s, remixing was still a new concept. The mixes on "You Can Dance" exhibited a number of typical mixing techniques. Instrumental passages were lengthened to increase the time for dancing and vocal phrases were repeated and subjected to multiple echoes. The album cover denoted Madonna's continuous fascination with Hispanic culture.
After its release, "You Can Dance" received generally positive reviews from critics, some of whom noted how the already known songs appeared to them in a complete new structure, calling it an essential album to be played at parties. "You Can Dance" was a commercial success, earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for shipment of a million copies, and reaching the top twenty of the Billboard 200. It reached the top ten of the album charts of France, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
It went on to sell five million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling remix album of all time, behind only "Blood On The Dance Floor" of Michael Jackson. "Spotlight" was the only commercial Single released from the album, exclusively in Japan. However, the song was released promotionally in the United States, and due to radio play, the song peaked at number 32 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart. "You Can Dance" has been credited for setting the standard with remix albums afterward, both in terms of concept and commercial success on record charts.

Debut (and only one) full-length album by Italian Progressive Metal band.
Honestly, every instrument, including bass, gets equal attention on this CD, and it's damn refreshing. Every instrument has its moments, but they also come together well as a whole. Obviously there's a lot of synth influence, but there's a good number of acoustic sections that caught off guard. The keyboards are tastefully done, and both the ambient and lead patches are pleasing to listen to. Madsword's vocals fit into a Progressive setting perfectly, but also have a lot of Power when it's needed. The band makes good use of them, and leave them plenty of room in the songs. It's hard to judge based on one album, but Madsword is like Dream Theater with more emotion and variety. They're less progressive rhythmically, but have way more unique melodies. Actually, everything on this album sounds great. Prog fans will love The “Global Village”. The album is equally made up of complexity, emotion, and heaviness. The sound is generally futuristic, but the band doesn't go overboard with it or get stale. Nothing heard that sounds quite like this CD that is always a good sign. Check it out if you're a Prog fan, bass player, or producer!!

Debut full-length album by the Greek Sludge/Doom Metal band.
Mahakala from Athens are back with their official debut full-length release. You may remember the band by their debut, self-titled EP which was released on 2007 by Spanish indie label Parade Records. This release, limited to 1000 copies was mainly influenced by old school Punk, early Heavy Rock and the 90’s Stoner/Sludge Rock movement. That the current musical status of the band is a little different. Mahakala in their current release are generating a very special type of sound inspired by the 60s Bluesy sound in its heavier form (Jimi Hendrix Experience, Cream) 70s Rock and its fantasy/occult side (Coven, Black Widow, Blue Oyster Cult), the 80s dark side of Classic Heavy Metal (Merciful Fate, Demon) plus the entire wave of occult Rock and Metal bands of 00s (The Devils Blood, Year Of The God, Ghost, In Solitude). They are adding some generous Doom Metal touches on the final mix plus some Heavy Rock references (Spiritual Beggars, Grand Mangus) delivering a heavy as hell, dark and inspired album including some groovy Heavy music.
Some people may think that the band has chosen to follow this musical direction thanks to the big hype that is generated the last years over the wave of the occult Rock and Metal bands playing around, but I if you search more carefully to their discography you would realize that their musical metamorphosis has started on 2009 and their "Pact With The Devil" EP, so for sure the musical approaching of their full length is not a rough work done in a bunch of rehearsals along with the adding of some wannabe lyrics. It was 2009 long before the big hype explosion in 2013.
The point is that in here we got a really inspired record having to offer high quality music with lots of influences. The album is recorded live and it is a fact that the band's really passionate performance gives an ultra vibe to the music, generating an explosive result. It is real difficult to select a specific song from the album as it is listened from the beginning to the end with no stop and here is the current point where mention that here we got a concept album.
The production which is loud, fu***ng heavy and clear does justice to the music. The front cover matches the album's dark concept, and the overall package both on CD and vinyl is fantastic. What else are you asking for a release in order to grab it at no time at all? Come on, offer yourself some dark and inspired music! You deserve it!!

The second full-length studio album by Italian Horror Heavy Metal band.
Originally started as a Black Metal band with screeching vocals, Malamorte from Rome already earned an excellent reputation in the Underground with one EP ("The Fall Of Babylon", 2014) and an album ("Devilish Illusions", 2016).
On their new album, mastermind Lord Vampyr (Cain, Nailed God, ex- Theatre Des Vampires) and his project present unblemished Occult Heavy Metal with some decent Doom impacts. Plaintive yet stirring vocals, influenced by King Diamond, meet up with the outstanding, dark atmosphere of early Death SS classics. Sometimes with a little touch of Black Metal. Doom influenced melodies and dark organ sounds give a decent obscure charm to the album.
 Malamorte will remind you of the Darkthrone albums that draw most of their influence from the first wave bands, alas Bathory, Celtic Frost, etc., and that occasional harmony, or sing-along chorus that’ll leave you stoked by just how catchy it is. That dash of King Diamond, or even influence from modern acts like Tribulation, seem to relate to Malamorte’s material quite a bit, and these meeting points carry a certain energy that makes for a very subtle yet effective get-together between old and new Metal.
"Satan Goes to Heaven to Destroy the Kingdom of God" is packed with tear-jerking guitar leads, catchy sing along choruses, outstanding riffs and an interesting thick crunchy sound, that throws you immediately to an overall atmosphere and aesthetics of devilish music, that’s not afraid to not take itself too seriously. The vocals are decent enough and fit well with the instrumentation, which is frequently accompanied by the sounds of an organ to smooth things naturally into darker realms, how well that works for Malamorte is very obvious upon even the first listening to this album. The true charm of "Satan Goes to Heaven to Destroy the Kingdom of God" is where all these over-lapping influences meet to form one well-shaped piece of fluent consistency and undeniable songwriting quality.
This is an album most Metalheads will enjoy, no matter what type of Metal is your personal cup of tea! And fans of King Diamond and Mercyful Fate will be pleased, without a doubt. Masterpiece!!

The debut full-length studio album by cult American Heavy Metal band.
Formed in 1981,  Melice are best known for their appearance on the first "Metal Massacre" compilation and the release of a pair of albums on Atlantic Records. Their heavily-European-influenced style elicited comparisons to Judas Priest.
After the initial Malice demo caused a stir and garnered label interest from Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records, "Captive of Light" and "Kick You Down" from the demo were both selected to appear on "Metal Massacre I" alongside tracks by Metallica, Ratt, Steeler and others. Malice made their Los Angeles live debut in November 1982 at the Troubadour, headlining a bill with Metallica and Pandemonium as opening acts. Other memorable Los Angeles shows included opening up for then new major label signees Armored Saint at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, California, in early 1984.
Adding drummer Cliff Carothers, formerly with the bands Snow and Assassin, Malice set about recording new demos with producer Michael Wagener and soon found themselves in the midst of a label bidding war. Eventually, the band signed with Atlantic Records in mid 1984 and released their debut album, "In The Beginning...", in 1985. It consisted of songs the band had cut with Wagener and material recorded with Ashley Howe producing.

The fourth full-length studio album by cult British Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band.
In the wake of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal explosion of the early '80s, several bands attempted to blend in with the movement even though they formed long after such bands as Iron Maiden and Def Leppard began to enjoy success, one such band being a Hard Rockin' trio of brothers, the Mama's Boys. The trio hailed from Northern Ireland and consisted of Pat McManus (guitar, vocals), John McManus (bass), and Tommy McManus (drums). Later in their career they became a four-piece, adding Rick Chase on vocals in 1986, who in turn was replaced by Keith Murrell in 1987 due to Rick's ill health. Keith was later replaced with Connor McKeon in 1989 who was subsequently replaced with Mike Wilson in 1990. 
Mama's Boys recorded their first self-funded album, "Official Album" (re-released in 1981 as "Official Bootleg") in 1980 in only four hours. In 1981, they were invited to support Hawkwind on their UK tour. They recorded and self-financed their second album, entitled "Plug It In", in 1982, and achieved a Hit Single in Ireland with the most Pop-oriented song on the album, "Needle in the Groove". The third album, "Turn It Up", was released in 1983. The same year they toured with Thin Lizzy on that band's farewell tour, played at the Reading Rock Festival and signed a worldwide record deal with Jive Records.
Their fourth album, self-titled "Mama’s Boys", was their first album released on Jive, and contained some songs previously released on early albums but completely re-recorded with a few new songs. One of the new songs, a cover of Slade's "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", was released as a Single and reached number 54 in the American charts. The video for the song got a lot of airplay on MTV and helped the band to become known in the US, which they toured in 1984. Coincidentally, the American Heavy Metal band Quiet Riot also released their cover version of the song at the same time as Mama's Boys, but Quiet Riot's version gained more airplay.
1985's "Power And Passion" album broke into the Billboard top 100 in the US and the band toured in the US, Europe, and Japan. During the European leg of the tour, Tommy had a relapse of leukaemia which he had been treated for as a child and a replacement drummer Jimmy DeGrasso was brought in to complete the tour. The recovering Tommy re-joined the tour in Ireland, but had to be rushed back to hospital after another relapse.
In 1987, former Airrace vocalist Keith Murrell was brought in after Rick Chase started having trouble with his vocal cords, and they recorded the album "Growing Up The Hard Way". Murrell left in 1988 to join Cliff Richard as a backing singer. Connor McKeon replaced Keith in 1989, but this was short-lived, and he was replaced by Mike Wilson.
In 1990, with a new vocalist, Mike Wilson, and under new management, Mama's Boys moved their base to the UK. The live album, "Live Tonite", was released in 1991 and the band toured extensively in Europe. In 1992, the band released "Relativity" album. While on tour in Italy in 1993, Tommy became ill again and the tour had to be cancelled.
In 1994, Tommy McManus passed away after a long battle with leukaemia. Tommy underwent a bone marrow transplant, but he did not survive. His brothers were devastated, and Mama's Boys did not continue.
On the first anniversary of Tommy's death, John composed a traditional lament on the low whistle for his brother, and this led to himself and Pat revisiting their traditional Irish music roots and forming a Celtic/New Age band called Celtus.
In 2003, Pat McManus joined with Irish Rock band Indian for two albums and live shows. After this he joined the Painkillers for a short while, and then formed "Pat McManus and High Voltage" which in 2007 became the Pat McManus Band (with Marty McDermott on bass and Paul Faloon on drums). The Pat McManus Band released "Tattooed In Blue" in 2018, and an acoustic guitar based album called "Rewind" in 2019, alongside a European tour.

The debut full-length studio album by Brazilian Stoner Metal band.
Following the classic genre rules, Mandibulla yet expand the style boundaries. This album is not a 70s Stoner/Doom one. It's a super heavy and very Metal Doom one, with deep roots on the Tommy Iommi school as well as the bands that kept the torch lit through the 90s and later unto these days.
A carefully crafted sound enriched by classical strings and piano pieces took the band to the leading position among young doom metal groups.
