Recorded June 4th, 1994 at Donington Monsters Of Rock Festival.
Following up the 20th Anniversary Edition of their landmark #1 album "Far Beyond Driven", Pantera are continuing the celebration with the vinyl release "Far Beyond Bootleg- Live From Donington '94".
Recorded at the Monsters Of Rock Festival in Donington, England, on June 4, 1994, this live show was included on the second disc of the "Far Beyond Driven" reissue and is now available on LP for the first time, just one day prior to the show s 20th anniversary!
The show captures the band (singer Philip Anselmo, guitarist Dimebag Darrell, bassist Rex Brown and drummer Vinnie Paul) in top form, shredding through nine songs in 40 minutes.
Just a few months prior to the Donington show, Pantera had reached a major milestone when the legendary metal band's seventh studio album, "Far Beyond Driven", debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, becoming the fastest-selling album of the band's career and its second consecutive Platinum release. "Far Beyond Driven" remained on the Billboard album chart for seven more months and many still regard it as the heaviest album to ever top the chart!!

The eighth full-length studio album by legendary American Groove Metal band.
The album features elements of Thrash Metal and Death Metal while still being a Groove Metal album. Being Pantera's most aggressive album, "The Great Southern Trendkill" is known for featuring lots of screaming, most notably on "Suicide Note Pt.II" and "The Great Southern Trendkill" while also featuring some of the fastest tempos and most down-tuned guitars that the band ever recorded. It also has a more experimental nature, such as the acoustic guitars and ballads. Unlike Pantera's first three major label albums, the vocals are often double tracked and layered to create a more "demonic" effect. An example of this can be heard in the chorus of "13 Steps to Nowhere", when Phil Anselmo's singing voice is backed up by high pitched screaming, done by Seth Putnam of the band Anal Cunt. Screams done by Phil Anselmo on the song "The Great Southern Trendkill" were compared Seth Putman.
Due to tension and conflicts within the band, Phil Anselmo recorded the vocals alone at Trent Reznor's Nothing Studios in New Orleans while Dimebag Darrell, Rex Brown and Vinnie Paul recorded the music at Chasin Jason Studios in Dallas, Texas.
The album reached number 4 in the Billboard 200 charts, and managed to stay on the chart for over 16 weeks.. 
"Floods", the album's longest song, contains a guitar solo considered by many to be Dimebag Darrell's finest. It has got list "15th greatest guitar solo of all-time" in Guitar World Magazine.
June 25, 1996 the album was Gold status and has sold 500000 copies, and August 17, 2004 the album received Platinum status, and has sold 1000000 copies.

It's hard to speak of this record without first addressing the intense judgement it (and the band) receives for creating a completely fresh, yet classic Thrash album at a time when just about every 80s Thrash band was done for and out of ideas and moving on to Funk/Alternative? Let's get one thing straight here - Thrash got old all by itself way before Pantera got popular.. If you need to blame a band for killing it, blame Metallica. You see what "Black Album" did to the entire genre of Thrash and Heavy Metal in general?
"Vulgar Display Of Power" is groovy, one dimensional, has tons of attitude, and is exactly every word which appears on the cover: a vulgar display of power! Phil sounds like he can kick some ass because he actually could kick some serious ass. Phil was as real a front man as you could find at this point. This is a complete statement executed with absolute conviction and attitude. It's a band captured at the peak of their musical existence at the time where they were most valid. This was the new era of Metal, flat out! It brought back the Hardcore/Punk attitude, but also brought the raw Groove of 70s Bluesy Hard Rock, though a bit down underneath. Dimebag's solos had so much style it was ridiculous. All meat, no salad! This album is like a truck going 110 on the freeway. You better hop on or get out the way!! You can analyze it all day and night and you can love it or hate it. But it will crush you if you don't get out of the way. It's a force to be reckoned with in Metal!!
The title of this album comes from the movie "The Exorcist". The priest asks Raegen to prove she is the Devil, to which she responds "that would be too much of a vulgar display of power".
For the cover, a fan had allowed the band members to punch him in the face. They had to do it over 80 times until they got the right picture!!

This is their first album for Atco Records. This was their first commercially successful album, exposing the band's Groove Metal style to mainstream audiences.
“Cowboys From Hell” is seen as Pantera's "official" debut by most fans, as well as the band itself as they left behind their Glam Metal past and began to exhibit a Groove Metal-oriented sound. The album would prove to be influential in the Metal scene and would inspire a generation of musicians, particularly guitarists.
The song "Cowboys From Hell" is featured on the PlayStation 2 game Guitar Hero and a live version of the song is featured in Guitar Hero: Smash Hits.
The album reached #117 on the Billboard 200, and it also managed to peak at #27 on the Billboard Music Charts Top Heatseekers and #8 on the Catalog Albums. IGN named Cowboys from Hell the 19th most influential Heavy Metal album of all-time. The album was ranked #11 on the October 2006 issue of Guitar World magazine's list of the greatest 100 guitar albums of all time. It was ranked the #85 best Heavy Metal album of all time by Metal-Rules.com

The ninth and the final full-length studio album by the legendary American Groove Metal band.
"The Live 101" album showed they were a technically talented and mature band. Not only that, but Pantera have had a long time to work on new material for this album. Unsurprisingly, there is very little "reinventing" going on here - Pantera are content to happily regurgitate every single good idea they've had since their much-acclaimed "Vulgar Display Of Power" release, and to their credit, they do it extremely well. On the first couple of listens, much of this come across as just a generic copy of the band's past recordings, from the production to the actual musical ideas, but deeper probing uncovers a slew of subtle hooks - notably from vocalist Phillip Anselmo - which we haven't heard from this band in years. In particular, "Goddamn Electric" (featuring a typically tuneless guest lead appearance from Slayer's Kerry King), "Yesterday Don't Mean Shit" and "Revolution Is My Name" stand out as the album's finest cuts, each staying very much true to the Pantera sound while offering just enough new elements to shrug off the ever-looming "rehash" tag that has plagued the band for much of their career as a major label recording act.
The cover art is a snapshot taken from the video of "Revolution Is My Name", the first single of the album.
The album reached number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, number 8 on the Top Canadian Albums chart, and number 5 on the Top Internet Albums chart. It held its position in the Billboard 200 for over 12 weeks. The album's fifth track, "Revolution Is My Name", reached number 28 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks. Also, "Revolution Is My Name" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2001, but lost to Deftones' "Elite".
The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on May 2, 2000, however, the album has yet to reach Platinum status, making it Pantera's only major label studio album not to reach sales of 1000000.
In the 2000 Metal Edge Readers' Choice Awards, the album was voted "Album of the Year" and "Album Cover of the Year" (tying with Iron Maiden's "Brave New World" for the latter), while the single "Revolution Is My Name" won "Song of the Year".
The album was ranked at #2 on Guitar World's Readers Poll for "The Top 10 Guitar Albums of 2000".
The depressing end of Pantera’s career can do nothing to diminish the enduring impact of their sizable musical accomplishments, including the formidable final testament unexpectedly delivered by "Reinventing The Steel"!!

The seventh full-length studio album by legendary American Groove Metal band.
This is Pantera’s first album to take an extremely heavy turn with their Groove Metal style, that was established on “Cowboys From Hell”. It is a lot heavier than their previous release, with a slower chugging, mid-tempo Groove, down tuned guitar strings, and Sludgy-like riffing. Pantera were influenced by some Sludge and Doom Metal bands on this album, such as: Crowbar, Acid Bath, EyeHateGod, Corrosion Of Conformity and Black Sabbath.
Album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it the first Extreme Metal album to top the chart. It is also the first album where Darrell Abbott is credited as Dimebag Darrell. At the time of its release, Phil Anselmo was injured with ruptured disks in his back and was suffering from chronic pain from degenerative disk disease. Anselmo began drinking heavily, abusing painkillers, muscle relaxants and began experimenting with heroin to numb the pain.
In November 2011, “Far Beyond Driven” was ranked number six on Guitar World magazine's top ten list of guitar albums of 1994. It remained on the Billboard 200 for 29 weeks.
