The first compilation album by cult British Pop-Rock band.
With a voice that was perfect for AOR, John Waite and his band The Babys shared the airwaves with groups like Journey and Foreigner in the late '70s and early '80s. His Rock-tender vocals accompanied electric guitar and ample keyboards, resulting in some appealing yet not overly flamboyant music.
“Anthology" spans the years 1976–1980 of The Babys, and brings together ten of this band's best songs in a short but concise Greatest Hits collection. All three of their charted songs are here, including "Isn't It Time" and "Every Time I Think of You", which both peaked at number 13 in 1977 and the latter again two years afterwards. "Back on My Feet Again" also broke the Top 40, hitting number 33 for three weeks in 1980. Each of their five albums are represented on this hits package, and the inclusion of Jonathan Cain on keyboards for 1980s "Back on My Feet Again" greatly enhanced their music, adding some texture and dimension. The song "Money" had not appeared on any The Babys album.
Cain, who replaced Mike Corby and bass player Rick Phillips, went on to play with San Francisco's Journey, where his keyboard artistry was better utilized. Although the songs are simply arranged and the lyrics are plain, there is still some music worth hearing among this set, such as the previously unreleased "Money" and the honest sounding "If You've Got the Time." "Turn and Walk Away" has some smooth background singing from Anne Marie Leclerc, and "Head First" is a catchy tune with Waite showing off his clean voice.
Even though John Waite had greater success as a solo artist, hitting number one with "Missing You" in 1984, his work with The Babys showcases his talents within a band atmosphere.
The album charted at number 138 on the Billboard 200.

The debut full-length studio album by Norwegian Blackened Death/Thrash Metal band.
The Battalion is a something of a Bergen/Norway uber-band, containing members and ex-members from such outfits as Old Funeral, Grimfist, Borknagar and Helheim, only this isn't the Black Metal super group you'd expect, this is actually the darkest and most old-school Blackened Thrash Metal you can expect, and it kicks the proverbial ass!
Helped by a clear, yet raw sound, the guys kick right into "The Spirit Of Masculinity", a track that sums up the complete and utter testosterone injection their music is, think Hellhammer, Bathory and, of course, Old Funeral themselves, and you get a picture of just how damn evil this sounds, it reeks of oldschool, sweat, piss and all.
Following the excellent and anthemic "Born In A Grave", the guys inject some serious Punk into "Detonate", which bears the early 80s feel of bands such as Amebix and Discharge, with heavier guitars and a Metallic aftertaste that is. The wah-wah soloing towards the end is impressive, and then vocalist Stud Bronson seemingly dies with the song…
The one thing that is absolutely clear here, is that the band is having the time of its life, they still play well, write great riffs, but above all, this has the energy of a band that really enjoys itself and doesn’t take its shit too seriously, and there are very few bands that actually do that.
So grab a beer, re-arrange your old tape-cassette demos collection and give these guys a listen for a thrashing good time!!

"Abbey Road" is widely regarded as one of The Beatles' most tightly constructed albums, although the band was barely operating as a functioning unit at the time.

50th Anniversary re-release of the thirteenth and the final full-length studio album by legendary British Rock band.
It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the band's public break-up, in tandem with the documentary of the same name. Concerned about recent friction within the band, Paul McCartney had conceived the project as an attempt to reinvigorate the group by returning to simpler Rock 'n' Roll configurations. Its rehearsals started at Twickenham Film Studios on 2 January 1969 as part of a planned television documentary showing the Beatles' return to live performance.
The filmed rehearsals were marked by ill feeling, leading to George Harrison's temporary departure from the group. As a condition of his return, the members reconvened at their own Apple Studio, and recruited guest keyboardist Billy Preston. Together, they performed a famous single public concert held on the studio's rooftop on 30 January, from which three of the album's tracks were drawn. In January 1970, four months after John Lennon departed from the band, the remaining Beatles completed "Let It Be". 
"Let It Be" topped record charts in several countries, including both the UK and the US, but was a critical failure at the time, and came to be regarded as one of the most controversial Rock albums in history.
The album has been remixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. All the new "Let It Be" feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original "reproduced for disc" version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. Gatefold sleeve includes 20-page booklet.

The first proper studio recording session made under the name “The Beatles”, by legendary British Pop Rock/Beat band.
After Brian Epstein, former The Beatles manager, had meetings with both EMI and Decca at the start of December 1961, Decca A&R executive Mike Smith travelled to Liverpool to see The Beatles perform at The Cavern Club, and was impressed enough to ask Epstein to bring the band down to London for a test in Decca’s recording studios.
"The Decca Tapes" (also known as "The Decca Sessions", "The Decca Audition", "Silver Beatles" and under a lot of other different monikers) have been recorded  on January 1, 1962 at Decca Studios in West Hampstead, North London, when The Beatles auditioned for Decca Records. At the time, the standard procedure for a test of this type was to record between two and five songs and then quickly usher the artists out of the studio. However, Brian Epstein chose the repertoire of songs which contained 12 cover songs and 3 originals. The Beatles ended up recording fifteen songs, and the recording session was extended into the afternoon, broken by a lunch break. This could suggest that, if offered a deal, their first single and perhaps others would have been taken from the resulting tape. However, Dick Rowe, former CEO of Decca Records, wasn’t impressed by the quality and the song choices. About a month later, Decca famously rejected the Beatles, signed Brian Poole & The Tremeloes from London instead. The executives felt that “guitar groups are on the way out” and “The Beatles have no future in show business”.
The 1979 release of "Decca Tapes" seems to have come from a tape gifted to a third party in the 1960s by Brian Epstein. The Beatles have owned the tape since the 1980s and took legal action confirming that they owned the copyright in 1989. These recordings and the releases that contain them are thus unofficial under current copyright law.
This album comprises all fifteen songs performed by the band at the audition. These fabled tracks are presented here so fans can judge for themselves. This is a must for all Beatles enthusiasts!

The album was released in the United Kingdom on 22 November 1963 on Parlophone, eight months after the band's debut "Please Please Me".
Produced by George Martin, it features eight original compositions (seven by Lennon–McCartney and "Don't Bother Me", George Harrison's first recorded solo composition and his first released on a Beatles album) and six covers (mostly of Rock and Roll and Motown R&B hits).
The sessions also yielded the non-album single, "I Want to Hold Your Hand" backed by "This Boy".
The cover photograph was taken by the fashion photographer Robert Freeman and has since been mimicked by several music groups. A different cover was used for the Australian release of the album, which the Beatles were displeased with.
In the United States, the album's tracks were unevenly split over the band's first two albums released on Capitol Records, "Meet The Beatles!" and "The Beatles' Second Album". It was also released in Canada under the name "Beatlemania! With the Beatles".
The album was ranked number 420 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in 2003, and was included in Robert Dimery's "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" (2010). It was also voted number 275 in the third edition of English writer Colin Larkin's "All Time Top 1000 Albums" (2000). It was rated the 29th greatest album in the book Paul Gambaccini "Presents the Top 100 Albums", which canvassed a panel of experts in seven countries" to determine the greatest albums.
