Second remastered re-release of the fourth full-length album by legendary American Glam/Heavy Metal band.
Twisted Sister was left in a strange position after the massive breakthrough success of their 1984 album, "Stay Hungry". While the album contained more of a Pop edge than their more raw preceding albums ("Under The Blade" and "You Can't Stop Rock n' Roll"), the Heavy Metal masses worldwide still embraced the album, as did the lucrative MTV/Pop audience. After the success of "Stay Hungry", Twisted Sister was faced with the question whether they should continue in a more Pop-oriented direction or return to their early Heavy Metal roots. They tried to do a bit of both, but the approach proved unsuccessful since "Come Out And Play" marked the start of the band's decline. According to an interview with lead singer and songwriter Dee Snider, found in the CD sleeve of "Club Daze, Vol. 1: The Studio Sessions", The Shangri-Las cover "Leader of the Pack", which was first included on "Ruff Cuts" (1982) (an early EP mostly unknown to those outside the core fan base), was intended to boost the band's popularity while keeping old fans pleased. Eventually neither that nor "Be Chrool To Your Scuel", featuring such musical guests as Alice Cooper, Brian Setzer and Billy Joel among many others, received the reaction that the band and their record label were expecting.
From a musical viewpoint, the album was not a huge departure from "Stay Hungry", despite a little more commercial sounding production by Scorpions/Accept producer, Dieter Dierks.
The title track featured Dee Snider clicking bottles together saying "Twisted Sister, come out and play" several times in the beginning, a reference to the 1979 cult classic movie "The Warriors", when the main villain, Luther, chants "Warriors, come out to play" while clicking bottles together as well. The song "Be Chrool to Your Scuel" is a parody of the Beach Boys' song, "Be True To Your School", though the music is unique. It also featured Alice Cooper (also on vocals), Billy Joel on piano, Brian Setzer of the Stray Cats on guitar and Clarence Clemons of the E-Street Band on saxophone. The video was banned from MTV, as it was deemed too violently anti-school.
Although the album sold more than 1000000 copies, earning it Platinum album status, the supporting tour was a fiasco, with cancelled dates and low attendances. Drummer A.J. Pero left the band after the tour ended in 1986, contributing to the chaos which eventually led to band's breakup after the release of "Love Is For Suckers" in late-1987.
When originally released on Atlantic, the cassette version of “Come Out And Play”, as Japan Edition of CD, included a bonus track, "King of the Fools," which was included on the Spitfire Records CD reissue in 1999. This remastered re-release includes the same bonus track as well!

Remastered re-release of the second compilation album by the legendary American Rock‘n’Roll/Glam/Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band.
Compilation of rare or never released studio versions of original songs that Twisted Sister performed while playing the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut club circuit from 1978-1981.
"Rock will live tomorrow, but disco has to die today" - the line sung by a young and defiant Dee Snider during "Rock 'N' Roll Saviors" in 1978 summed up much about the fiercely independent approach that Twisted Sister would take after he joined the band in 1976. Originally billing itself as the New Jersey version of the New York Dolls and covering Glam classics of the day after Jay Jay French formed the act in 1972, it would be Snider's entry that breathed new life into Twisted SIister. Snider's larger-than-life stage presence, enormous songwriting contributions, and his urging to retain the Glam roots/image but move into a Harder Rock and, ultimately, Heavy Metal direction would result in Twisted Sister becoming kings of the club circuit and set the stage for later commercial successes. Those stories and more are contained in the extensive liner notes included with this second reissue of "Club Daze Volume I: The Studio Sessions", a 13-track collection of songs recorded in 1978-1979 and 1981 ("Shoot 'Em Down") that offer new fans a view into the Rock 'n Roll roots and old fans a chance to revisit lost classics.
Those only familiar with the '80s output may be surprised to hear the staunch 1970s Rock and Hard Rock sounds characteristic of many of these songs. Cuts like "Follow Me", "Can't Stand Still", and the sizzling "Lady's Boy" are reminiscent to varying degrees of everyone from Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes (and similar Detroit Rock acts) and Chuck Berry to T. Rex and Brownsville Station. AC/DC was an admitted influence on Snider, the fat bass/drum propulsion and basic riffing also noticeable, while Slade figured in to Glam shaded, Pop-influenced cuts like "I'll Never Grow Up, Now", which would hint at the hooks 'n attitude sound the band perfected in the 80s. Also included is the original, rougher-edged cover version of "Leader Of The Pack", which would later show up on 1985's "Come Out And Play" to a less than enthusiastic fan response. "Under The Blade" and "Shoot 'Em Down" were most indicative of the Metal direction in which the band was headed, both tracks ending up on debut full-length "Under The Blade".
Depending on your completist proclivities, "Club Daze Volume I: The Studio Sessions" is a nicely packaged collection of some pretty darn good '70s Rock tunes that probably escaped the radar of many fans outside of the New York/New Jersey area. Those Twisted Sister fans that missed the 1999 Spitfire of the album are strongly advised to snap up this Armoury remaster!

First European re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary American Glam/Heavy Metal band.
With their comedic videos and bubblegum undertones, hit singles "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" helped the band bridge the "beauty gap" into MTV acceptance, and a competent power ballad in "The Price" would cement their consumer-friendly status. But it was the irrefutable menace of tracks like "The Beast", "S.M.F.", and the massive "Burn in Hell" that connected with their loyal fans and displayed Twisted Sister's true power.
According to RIAA certification, "Stay Hungry" is the band's most successful album by far and the only certified Platinum. Eventually the album gained multi-platinum status with U.S. sales of more than 3.000.000 copies by 1995.
Metal Rules ranked the album #5 on their list of the "Top 50 Glam Metal Albums". In 2016, Loudwire ranked the album at number 6 on their list of the "Top 30 Hair Metal Albums". In 2017, Rolling Stone listed the album at No. 76 on its list of the "100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time".
In 2004, the band re-recorded all nine songs from this album and re-released them under the title Still Hungry.

Re-release of the sixth full-length album by the legendary American Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band.
In real this album is a 2004 re-recording of the 1984 album "Stay Hungry".
"Stay Hungry" is to Twisted Sister what "Metal Health" is to Quiet Riot, "Operation: Mindcrime" is to Queensrÿche and "Appetite For Destruction" is to Guns n' Roses - it isn't their only worthwhile release, but it is widely regarded as their best and most essential. So when Twisted Sister decided to re-record one of their albums in 2004, the most logical choice was "Stay Hungry" - and "Still Hungry" finds a reunited Twisted Sister revisiting that 1984 classic 20 years later.
Of course, it's impossible to improve upon perfection, and some fans of Sister's '80s output will wonder if favorites like "We're Not Gonna Take It", "I Wanna Rock" and "Burn in Hell" really needed to be re-recorded. But here's the thing: according to guitarist Jay Jay French, "Stay Hungry" wasn't perfection - at least not from a production standpoint. French had problems with the way Tom Werman produced "Stay Hungry"; Werman and Atlantic Records insisted on a glossier, lighter sort of production, while Dee Snider and his bandmates had envisioned a tougher, harder, heavier sound (and didn't get their way).
Stylistically, "Still Hungry" isn't a big departure from "Stay Hungry"; Twisted Sister plays the same nine songs in pretty much the same fashion and offers them in the same order (adding seven bonus tracks, which range from 2000's previously released "Heroes Are Hard to Find" to some tunes that were written in the '80s but went unfinished).
On "Still Hungry", bassist Mark Mendoza's production does, in fact, give "Stay Hungry"'s nine songs a dirtier, less glossy sound - and these 2004 performances are undeniably inspired. Twenty years obviously haven't robbed Snider, French or Mendoza of their enthusiasm for this material. Nonetheless, the original, Werman-produced 1984 version of "Stay Hungry" remains Sister's most essential disc; casual listeners should start out with "Stay Hungry", not "Still Hungry". But for collectors and hardcore fans, "Still Hungry" paints an enjoyable, interesting picture of the sound that Snider and friends originally had in mind for their most famous album!
The version of "I Wanna Rock" from this album is featured in “Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s & Burnout Paradise”.

The fourth full-length album by the American Melodic Hard Rock/AOR band.
If you’re the kind of fan of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s Melodic Rock scene that still follows the bands all these years later, you’re no doubt aware of the fact that the original Tyketto lineup is back together and has a new album out. Tyketto’s latest, titled "Dig In Deep" is their first album since 1995’s "Shine". It’s not "Shine" that Tyketto has to follow-up here though. With the original lineup – Danny Vaughn, Brooke St. James, Jimi Kennedy and Michael Clayton – intact, fans are looking for an album that is worthy of 1991’s "Don’t Come Easy" and 1994’s "Strength In Numbers", two of the best Melodic Rock albums that decade had to offer.
The band members haven’t exactly been sitting idle these past two decades. Vocalist Danny Vaughn in particular has maintained a successful solo career as well as his From The Inside side-project. As a result, "Dig in Deep" sounds like what it is, the work of seasoned veterans who are older and wiser, but no less optimistic than they were back in 1991. It’s not as instantly memorable as "Don’t Come Easy" was, with its dynamite hooks and radio-ready singles, but "Dig In Deep" definitely has the Tyketto spirit, especially in the lyrics. You hear it the most on the album’s Harder Rocking songs, like the dynamic opener “Faithless” and the stomping “The Fight Left in Me”, which features some blistering guitar work from St. James and could have come straight from "Strength In Numbers". The rest of the album alternates between the kind of mid-tempo melodic rockers and Eagles-like slower songs you’d find on one of Danny Vaughn’s solo albums. That’s not a bad thing, given how good a songwriter Vaughn is, but at the same time songs like “Here’s Hoping It Hurts” and “Monday” don’t stand out clearly as Tyketto songs.
We’re not getting another "Don’t Come Easy" here, but that was probably an unreasonable expectation in the first place. What we are getting in "Dig In Deep" is a smooth Melodic Rock album with a solid Rock 'n' Roll backbone, real heart and soul, top-notch musicianship and vocals to die for, and that’s not a bad deal at all. "Dig In Deep" is a welcome comeback from one of the best, and most consistently overlooked, bands in Melodic Rock! Tyketto return with a stellar album for AOR and early 90’s Rock fans around the world. Sounding as if they found a time machine back to 1991 the band puts out a devastatingly brilliant release!!

Third full-length studio album by the legendary American Gothic/Doom Metal band.
This album combines melancholy beauty, found in songs such as “Christian Woman”, common Metal brutality, found in songs such as “Too Late: Frozen”, and even Hardcore influenced craziness found in songs such as “We Hate Everyone”, which fuses 80's Hardcore/Punk with a Doom Metal midsection with the greatest of ease. Harsh Metal vocals and screams here, Peter Steele manages to galvanize the Gothic atmosphere by adding a nearly inhumane vocal sound to the mix.
This is probably their darkest, doomiest release. It's definitely their most Goth release though, and not fagot either. Peter Steele is certainly no mall Goth type person and it's funny how he pokes fun at those types with “Black No. 1”. A fan of any form of extreme music be it Metal or Hardcore can probably find something that they like on this album since this album manages to fuse all these different types of music together and then envelope it in a Gothic atmosphere (in fact, even a fan of Dark Comedy can enjoy this album because of the dark humor found in some songs - yes, even people with minds as dark as the members of this band will have a sense of humor one way or another). It is certainly their darkest, most depressive release. Strongly recommended to Doom fans, Goth fans and Metal fans in general!
"Bloody Kisses" was the first album on Roadrunner Records to ever reach Gold and Platinum status!!

Fourth full-length studio album by the legendary American Gothic/Doom Metal band.
All of the songs are great and they are mostly more positive than their other albums. This album has a very lush and pretty sound and the keyboards are excellent. The vocals are amazing with Peter's leads and Kenny’s backups. The bass is great and unique and it does not just follow the drums or the guitars like most bands, and the drums are great even though they are programmed. There is also plenty of variety on this disc, such as a cover of Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl", a rather humorous song about a lesbian affair that singer Peter Steele gets involved in ("My Girlfriend's Girlfriend"), and plenty of Goth-tinged tracks that have made the impression on Type O Negative's sound. The keyboards from Josh Silver, guitars from Kenny Hickey, drums from Johnny Kelly (who replaced original drummer Sal Abruscato in 1994), all play a significant role in the album's sound.
Attention! Track 1, was joked recorded as noise. Some people had been known to try eject the CD to get it replaced without even realising it was supposed to be that way.
This disc has everything a Goth/Doom fan could want - a great atmosphere, dark lyrics, and the deep vocals (and bass, for that matter) of Peter Steele.

30th Anniversary Edition re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary American Gothic/Hardcore/Doom Metal band.
The album, originally titled "None More Negative" and released in 1990 under the band's former name Repulsion, launched the band's career. "Slow, Deep And Hard" is a darkly humorous, semi-autobiographical album with tracks 1, 3, 4 and 7 based on a failed relationship of vocalist/bass guitarist Peter Steele.
The album's other tracks are "Der Untermensch" (Steele's controversial critique of people, frequently immigrants, abusing the American welfare system), "Glass Walls of Limbo (Dance Mix)" (a facetiously titled Ambient Industrial soundscape) and "The Misinterpretation of Silence and its Disastrous Consequences" (a literal minute of silence). In keeping with the band's notable humour, the album's cover artwork is a blurred image of sexual penetration.
First remastered re-release on a Double Green/Black Marbled Vinyl in Gatefold Cover includes Bonus Track and an exclusive fold out Color Poster.

7 songs of Mexican deep-obscure band, singing in English with a strong good lead vocal a-la Hansi Kürsch. Good work you to listen hurtling melodic Power that takes into account the indigenous melodies of Aztec civilization!
It's almost pure Power Metal, infused with some indigenous elements in the rhythm and also a return of the flute here and there, with Carlos G.T.’s high and a little peculiar (his timbre), but quite original voice over it. The whole undertaking is a little hampered by the sound, which lacks a bit of clarity and breathes more the air of the 80s, but at the same time it gives Tzompanti’s music some earthy authenticity that actually is a welcome change to the many sterile and slick productions of late.
Overall variety definitely is not a problem for band, as they cleverly vary speeds and intensity throughout and in-between the songs.
Tzompanti’s debut effort is a more than remarkable release from Mexico and should find the open ears of quite a few fans of Power Metal!

When Udo Dirkschneider sang lead with the West German Metal band Accept, it was clear that AC/DC's Bon Scott was his primary influence. And the headbanger took his love of Scott with him when he departed Accept and formed his own band, U.D.O., in 1987. Though not as strong as his work with Accept, "Faceless World" is a decent album that employs mildly gothic imagery at times. Not content to simply crank up the volume and hit us with power chords, Dirkschneider and friends make melody a priority on "System of Life", "Stranger", "Blitz of Lightning" and other songs on this exuberant album. "Faceless World" may not be "Balls To The Wall" (one of Accept's best releases), but it isn't anything to be ashamed of either!!
