Second full-length album by Italian Thrash Metal/Crossover band.
It’s German style Punky and straight Thrash Metal, influenced by bands such as Tankard, Destruction and Assassin. The band handles their craft well enough. The main focus is in energetic performance. At best, it's tight as heck. The vocals are good, heavily reminding of Tom Angelripper or Billy Milano. Musically, band makes bridge with Thrash and Hard Core, as rhythm structures are close to old school Hard Core, while solos and leads belongs to Thrash expression. This is a great stuff that they delivering is fluent, slamming and catchy, with cool chorus parts, hilarious lyrics and riffs that makes your neck dance, and your soul to mosh!

The debut full-length album by the American Christian Melodic Hard Rock/Glam Metal band.
It was formed in 1987 by Ken Tamplin. Musically the band was similar to Stryper or Kiss. Lyrically, their songs were generally more straightforward than other Christitan Metal bands.
"It Won't Be Long" was recorded by session musicians. These included Lanny Cordola (of Magdalen), Marty Friedman (of Megadeth), Michael Angelo (of Nitro), Joseph Galletta, Loren Robinson, Dennis Holt (of AD), and others.
The album was an instant hit, and the band played at Londons famed Marquee in August 1988. Following this release Tamplin hired Galletta and Robinson, who he had played with in Joshua, on a full time basis. These three members would form the long term core of the band. Chuck King (of Idle Cure) also became an integral part of the band. The band achieved early success in Europe and toured there in August 1988.
Shout play melodic Hair Metal/Hard Rock or AOR, whatever you prefer to call it. The sound is typical mid- to late 80's Hair Metal, complete with the sweetest of ballads, and tougher rockers. Shout do what they do well, and you'll be always enjoyed this disc!

“Karmaruna” is an album that shows how much band have grown since their debut album “Fresh Christian Meat”. Shturm plays the Black/Death/Heavy Metal genres making “Karmaruna” sound like a heavy loaded tow truck that’s able to pull, grind and drag along.
The great thing about music is that one doesn’t need a spoken language to understand. Music’s even able to express feelings that are hard to catch with words and if one genre doesn’t do it, one can combine genres, just like feelings can be combined. And that’s what we can find inside the Shturm album “Karmaruna”. This album’s truly a mix of feelings expressed in genres combined. When you’re not a fan of just Death or Black or Heavy Metal you still might like this band anyway because next to their balanced mix of styles, they also sound a bit Progressive.
The first song on this album is a true intro, like they’re turning the switch to get their vehicle running. Once running it bursts on in frustration, anger and fear, but also in accepting and finding balance again to stay on the road. Shturm’s teamwork does fire off explosive work, fast sweeping draggers, but also melodic sweet and sad sounding tunes. All combined inside this solid album that’s definitely worth a listen!!

Remastered re-release of the eighth full-length album by British Melodic Hard Rock/AOR band.
In 2002, after twelve years lead vocalist Tony Mills left the band, nobody would have guessed that premier British AOR act Shy would come up with a superb masterpiece to rival - and indeed exceed in many ways - their classic disc "Excess All Areas" (1987).
Well, they did it with "Unfinished Business"!
"Unfinished Business" is the best album of Shy ever, and one of the best in the entire history of the AOR / Melodic Hard Rock genres. 
This album have it all: excellent songwriting (in many ways superior to "Excess All Areas"), brilliant melodies, catchy choruses, superb musicianship... Each track has several layers of rich keyboard tones, supplemented by sometimes killer, sometimes exquisite melodic guitar work, an agile rhythm section and soaring vocal harmonies to die for. This is certainly the best recording that Tony Mills has been involved in.
Apart from all those excellent attributes, the great merit of Shy here resides in their ability to capture the late '80s vibe like no-other.
Describe or choose some tracks from the album just to give you a hint of the music is useless. All are killer-no-fillers exceptional keyboard/guitar driven diamonds of smooth AOR and top class Melodic Rock.
"Unfinished Business" is one of those CD's that makes your album collection richer by any means! This is an eternal AOR/Melodic Rock gem, and will always be considered as one, no matter how many years will pass!!

Fifth full-length album by Swedish Melodic Black Metal band.
Siebenburgen has a particular aura about them that is much different than many bands that meld Black Metal and Gothic overtones. They have advanced greatly in terms of songwriting, yet they still possess the raw vibe that fans enjoyed so much on “Delictum.” But on “Darker Designs And Images”, the band branches out into wider arrangements and relies a bit more on allowing the melody to carry each tune, however grim it may be. As “Darker Designs” fades in with an evil chant, one has the impression that they are going to be in for a great album if they have any inkling of the band’s previous material. At this point, Siebenburgen launch into a full on Black Metal assault that morphs further into a grim take on more traditional Heavy Metal. Marcus Ehlin has a cool sounding snarl that adds a dour feeling to songs like “Rebellion” and “A Crimson Coronation,” where Erika Roos puts in a haunting female vocal performance. The fact that Siebenburgen continue to produce continually better records beckons well for the future, but for now, “Darker Designs And Images” stands as Siebenburgen’s masterpiece effort thus far!!

The third full-length album by Slovakian Progressive/Power Metal band.
This Slovakian Melodic Metal band formed in 2007 by bass player Ronnie König. Göran Edman joins the band, and they started working in debut album. The self-titled album was released in 2008, receiving great reviews from around the world. Their next release comes in 2010 in the form of a concept album “The Eyes Of Power”, that gets well received.
In the writing process for their third album, it became clear that the album needs more vocalists than one, since the idea was to make a diverse and quite deep concept album. And it comes out in the form of “Exodus”. It`s a historical concept album about the Israelites who were enslaved in ancient Egypt, and it features different vocalist on each track. The album opens with acoustic “On The Nile”, and makes a short instrumental brake in the middle with amazing Melodic “Last Days In Egypt”.
Every song on this release is quite different than the other (choosing different vocalist for each song can add to diversity), but fit perfectly connected with overall theme of the album. You can also find a quite diversity in the sound of guitars, from heavier robust riffs in “Let Us Go!” to a more content in “Song of Deliverance”, and let`s not forget the outstanding solos in “Wrath of Pharaoh”…
The story of "Exodus" is well known to almost everybody, and it`s quite nicely turned into lyrics. While listening one gets the idea that every song was written with each singer performing it in mind. Each and every one of them brings the last missing piece to the track they`re performing, the singing style or the sound of their voice. On that part everything`s fitting perfectly.
The production of album is great; instrumentations are well blended, so that every involved instrument can be heard.
Concept albums are one of the most risky ones to make, having in mind that a lot pieces need to fall into right place. While listening to “Exodus” you get an idea that making concept album is quite simple. That’s how Signum Regis made it sound like. The epic story under layered with amazing music, nicely written lyrics, and all that sang by amazing singers.
If you’re a fan of concept albums make sure you don’t miss out on this one, and if you’re not make sure that you hear it at least, might just change your mind regarding concept albums!

The fourth full-length album by Melodic Death Metal band from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
An interesting album from Eastern European band. Branded as Melodic Death Metal, this outfit is not really doing anything like what you’d expect to hear from that description. This is definably Extreme Metal, but much more sprawling and Progressive than Melodeath normally gets. This actually reminds more than a bit of Enslaved’s more recent works. Some of the riffing is good, and the intricate songwriting sometimes manages to be gripping, but like all Proggy bands, this outfit cannot resist throwing in complexity just for the sake of it, too often strangling their momentum for no good reason and chopping the songs up into parts that don’t hold together as well as they could.
Still, a band with a distinct sound and undeniable talent!
