First remastered re-release of the fifth demo album by legendary Polish Black Metal band.
Graveland is definitely one of the fewer bands that promoted Eastern Black Metal in a sombre, savage and unique way back in the glorious 90s. Underneath the carefully-styled melodic aspirations and chantlike cadences of this music unfurls the hybrid of Epic Metal and aggressive atonal Hardcore that forms the internal pressure in the gently unfolding sound of Graveland. Their unification of simple Black Metal themes with classical structural principles have enabled this band to hold ground with their long and wandering compositions, dreamlike in their simple melody and poetic recombination.
Graveland's style started as Raw Black Metal. Lyrically, on the early works, Darken was inspired by Celtic beliefs. Demo was originally released in 1993, on cassette format. Many have called this "The most hateful Black Metal demo of all time!" It was then re-released in 1996 on CD format, and again in 1999. The demo is "inspired by 'Holy War' waged in Norwegian Black Metal Underground against Christianity".
American edition re-release features four never released before tracks, many never published before photos, a 20-page full-coloured booklet enriched with a new graphic design, and a replication of the original 4-page b/w booklet.

Russian edition of the sixth full-length album by russian Industrial Groove Modern Death Metal band.
“Lifelong Days” is basically overflowing with interesting song ideas. Grenouer even seems more than capable of shifting the band's entire personality within individual songs in order to make it sound more enthusiastic and interesting. There are noticeable influences from outright Death Metal in some moments while at other times, when the song requires it, they send out a Groovier almost Nu Metal vibe. This is quite obviously a heavier offering than “Computer Crime”. There are borderline brutal moments of double-bass kicks and a veritable abundance deep, heavy detuned guitar riffs. The album plays for 46 minutes, and every second is a joy to listen to. Even the production is fantastic. The band sounds absolutely massive with a good sizzle on the guitars to keep things firmly on the Metal side of the term "Nu Metal." If you dig really groovy modernized Metal with a hint of good Death Metal, you can go with Grenouer!!

The eighth full-length album by russian Alternative Metal/Rock band.
There are times in our days that we must deal with some kind of new stuff, being inside or outside musical world. In this last case, many things are being done in this very moment of Rock/Metal history. Of course, bands with new insights and more experimental ways of making music suffer a lot due the old and dusty way of thinking of Metalheads. And Big Daddy must say again: what belongs the past, must stay in the past, for a brighter future is awaiting us all. And on the case of Russian quartet Grenouer, they are really looking to the future, but with grounded feet in the present. And their album “Unwanted Today” is a fine and refreshing surprise for our ears.
First of all, the band uses a heavy and melodic insight of a Hard Rock/Rock vision with some elements used on modern Metal styles. It’s something that mix Pop and Rock influences with a Gothic rock esthetic, putting some distorted riffs and electronic effects here and there. This mixture makes their sound accessible to a broader public, but has a melodic grasp that holds the listener by the ears. Good clean vocals (with some distorted ones, like we are used to hear from modern bands), fine riffs and good solos on guitars (sometimes more melodic, other ones more aggressive and heavier), and a very good work done on rhythmic kitchen.
The sound quality of “Unwanted Today” is clear and very accessible, but having the necessary weight the band needs. Besides the album could be a bit heavier, it’s good to hear songs like “Unwanted Today” (that starts with a heavy weight riff, seeming a New Metal song in some aspects, but soon the melodies took over), the introspective “On a Rainy Day” (a more melodic and catching song, with a fine work done by bass guitar), and “Point of No Return”. They really are hooking, based on strong choruses and very simple melodies.

The second work of Kyiv’s Goths took the best features of the previous album with adding more electronics and stylistic diversity enriched by powerful sound. Anders Jacobsson and Lisa Johansson from the legendary Swedish Gothic Doom Metal band Draconian appear as guest vocalists at the album! “Preacher Creature” also features energetic cover to Mick Jagger song "God Gave Me Everything".
Instrumentally, despite of the heavy usage of keys, band doing a decent job, as one can hear that we are dealing here with dedicated and trained professionals. Thus, one can hear some nice and robust guitar parts, dynamic drumming and the inclusion of other interesting non-Metal instruments.
Recommended for those into: The Sisters Of Mercy, Moregrim, Alcest, Draconian and similar acts!

The first EP by Ukrainian Black Metal band.
Stylistically, EP goes mostly in the manner of “Sacrilegium” - this is the same good old orthodox mid-tempo Black Metal. The Gromm style is now well recognized from the very first riffs; all tracks start and finish abruptly, no openings and fadings.
Production is quite good; but sound changed and developed, all instruments are clear and listenable. Guitars aren’t buzzing anymore like on earlier works, they became ponderous and viscous and still brought to the forefront, creating powerful avalanche of sound. Bass lines emerging with guitars add extra heaviness. Good music-writing abilities of guitarist BaalBerith still taken place, because memorizing catchy tunes are present in each track. Vocals became shriller and more malicious; sometimes even hysterical, changing from raptorial growl on “Crown of Rust” to demonic shriek on “The Pest of Black Metal” and adding a fairly large part of savageness to the whole atmosphere of the album. All lyrics are in English now, but one can hardly make out a single word in Nabath’s bestial screaming. “Pilgrimage…” features live drums, their sound is clear and resonant in contrast to all previous Gromm’s albums including “Sacrilegium”. Efficient performance of drummer definitely enriched rhythmical pattern.
Whole album is very good. “Pilgrimage Amidst The Catacombs Of Negativism” maybe was a test record, but the result exceeded all expectations! Evident progress is on hand, ‘cause musical content of this MCD is head and shoulders above Gromm’s previous works!!

The second full-length studio album by Italian Thrash Metal band.
A new intense voyage through the deepest corners of Thrash Metal! These Italian Thrashers mixing the best of modern and old-school approaches, with a good degree of influence from good old traditional Heavy Metal.
Formed by the two young guitarists Alessio Garavello and Fabio Cavallaro during May 1996, the Thrash Metal band called Deluge started to perform some of the most famous bay-area Thrash Metal hits of the ’80, written by Metallica and Megadeth. Between 1996 and 2002 the band line-up has changed many times trying to reach the perfect alchemy and during the summer of 2002 the Italian Thrash Metal band Ground Control was finally formed. They started to write their own material, following the path of some of the most important bands of the Bay Area Thrash Metal scene (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Testament) and mixing this powerful style with the US Hard Rock melodies.
Their first full length album, "Insanity", was released in 2005. Its follow-up, "Dragged", features a very dark cover artwork with a hanged man, not really telling what kind of genre the album belongs in. The intro doesn't give it away either, but when the second track hit you, you'll know you are in for a Thrash Metal ride! This is a Bay Area influenced Thrash, that the band has kind of tried to modernize a bit. Don't let the word modern scare you because there are plenty to like even if you are a bound to the thrash metal roots!
A real gem for fans of Metallica!!

Crossing over from alcohol focused Grind to Punk, from Death to Black (although in meager amounts) it’s clear to see how well traversed in music they are and have added that tongue in cheek we all know and love within their Grind elements, adding crazy samples and hard hitting rhythms – it’s just one superb album!
Beer, bongs, Thrash & Grind are probably the four things that this twisted quintet worship and they have irreverently wrapped up the styles and resulting states of mind to bring us this album of just under half an hours-worth of audio insanity. Yes Pink Floyd lovers are probably groaning at the play on words and the album cover but Ministry already riddled the corpse of that particular album in a steamy heroin soaked piss anyway. However it comes as a slight surprise playing this album that amongst the humor the band can sort play too.
Such a pity that they reside in Oz, because we are missing out big time!!

The first full-length studio album by Italian Shred guitarist. 
Guido Campiglio is a solo guitarist, recreating the feel of the best shredders from the 80s. “Rumble In The Jungle” is a fine album, with quite a few different styles throughout it.
There’s no doubt at all that Campiglio is very talented. The album has a great fluency to it, even with the different genres present here – you’ve got Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, obviously, but there are Jazzy elements to it, Electronic inserts and rhythmic elements. Never fear though, this is most certainly a Rock album, and if anything, the different styles add new levels to the music. It says something about the production values that all these different styles have been tied together, and are visible within the songs, but they don’t detract from the overall Hard Rock shredding feel of “Rumble In The Jungle”.
For those people out there that like albums without vocals, this is definitely one to check out. “Rumble In The Jungle” is an excellent release, that well worth a listen!

It has produced many talented and great names over the years, and it's kind of unfortunate that many of them never seem to have success outside of the Russian borders due to the labels' relatively limited promotional resources. Gul Taosa, formed in 2009, is one of those many Russian acts that undoubtedly would do really well everywhere, if people could just find them.
The band plays a flawless combination of Death Metal and Symphonic Black Metal, somewhat similar to Dimmu Borgir, but with death growls and the main emphasis being on more Death Metal riffs, blast beats and stuff. It's a safe recipe that they have for their Black/Death Metal bombardment and when done well, it definitely works.
The first thing to mention about the album is a professional team-work of the musicians and precisely balanced sound of all instruments. The album is full of expectation of the approaching apocalypse, chaos and destruction. It is literally painted crimson colors of infernal evil. Tenebrous, aggressive yet graceful music of the band is a good example of how brutal material can at the same time be beautiful! The album plunges listeners into the atmosphere of horrors bred by the humankind itself that have survived to the present days. Insane surrealist world created by the band seems to resemble the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch.
Upcoming Armageddon, demonic darkness of medieval myths and different deformities of a sick human mind - these are the themes forming the basis of the lyrical content of “Агония Солнца“ (The Agony Of The Sun).
This Russian Metal patrol has managed to create a pretty dark and oppressive aura around their songs, thanks to the effective use of keyboards and overall ability to paint the horizon in all kinds of powerful shades of Black. This is meant to surround your miserable being, like it or not. On "The Agony Of The Sun", Gul Taosa sounds "big" with this pompous atmosphere, and they probably also tend to appeal to a lot of people equally both in the Black and Death Metal camps. There's nothing in their sound that would push you away from them like some vicious Ebola virus. So, give them a chance and a listen!!

15 years after their last original album "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993), Guns N' Roses have finally released "Chinese Democracy". It’s band’s first album of original studio material since the simultaneous releases of “Use Your Illusion I” and “II” in September 1991 (17 years after!!). The long wait is finally over, and we have never heard such a satisfying result. The new songs are fantastic, and easily stand up to the great “Appetite for Destruction”, “GnR Lies” and “Use Your Illusions” albums. Album debuts at number three on the Billboard 200 and being certified Platinum by the RIAA. It received generally mixed to positive reviews from music critics. The album achieved international chart success and has sold over one million copies in Europe. It is the most expensive album ever produced, with production costs in excess of $13 million.
True GN'R fans will go out and buy “Chinese Democracy”, because after all, Guns N' Roses did originally contain a Mr W. Axl Rose as well as the rest of 'em. Well worth checking out, and as a music fan you almost owe it to yourself to hear the myth that is “Chinese Democracy”!!

The first compilation album by legendary American Hard Rock/Blues/Glam Metal band.
Released by Geffen Records in part because of the delay in the making of "Chinese Democracy", the album was subject to lawsuits by band member Axl Rose and former band members, in an attempt to block its release due to its track listing. Axl Rose immediately tried to block the release by suing Geffen, saying it would ruin his focus on "Chinese Democracy" and if he were to get the album finished and released sooner, the "Greatest Hits" album would be selling more, leaving the album unnoticed. Former bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan helped Rose file the lawsuit against Geffen, although they did not speak to each other in person. The lawsuit failed, and the album was released under Geffen Records' rights.
Several critics complaining of the track listing, feeling several notable songs like "Nightrain", "Estranged", "It's So Easy", "Mr. Brownstone", "Out Ta Get Me", "Used to Love Her", "Pretty Tied Up", and "One in a Million" were missing, causing portrait of the band an inaccurate. 
Despite the album having almost no promotion, it reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and number three on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release. "Greatest Hits" re-entered the Billboard 200 at number three in March 2012, selling about 85 000 copies as part of a promotion by both Amazon and Google Play that saw the album sold for 25 cents for one day. The album has proven a popular seller, selling over six million copies in the United States by 2018. "Greatest Hits" is one of the longest charting albums in the Billboard 200 era, being one of only seven albums to notch at least 400 weeks on the chart by June 2017. As of July 2023, it has spent 631 weeks on the chart.

The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock/Blues/Glam Metal band.
The album is unique for the band, consisting entirely of cover versions, mostly of Punk and Glam Rock songs of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Many of the tracks were recorded with original Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin during the “Use Your Illusion I” and “Use Your Illusion II” sessions and then were later re-recorded by Gilby Clarke. Those tracks were previously intended to be included in a combined “Use Your Illusion” album, consisting of three (or possibly even four) discs, instead of the two separate discs they ended up being.
In 1992, the band prepared to release the leftover cover tracks as an EP, with Gilby Clarke replacing Stradlin's guitar tracks. They later decided on making the full-length album and recorded several more tracks for it. 
Bassist Duff McKagan sings on many of the album's tracks and Hanoi Rocks frontman Michael Monroe appears on "Ain't It Fun" as a guest vocalist.
This was the last Guns N' Roses album to feature lead guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum and the only album to feature Gilby Clarke. It was also their last studio album until exactly 15 years later with “Chinese Democracy”, and their last album until the live compilation album exactly 6 years later with “Live Era: '87-'93”.
"The Spaghetti Incident?" debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, selling about 190000 albums in its first week of release, significantly less than their previous releases.
