Gabriele Pala is obviously a very talented musician, especially on the guitar. Taking inspiration from the classic Death Metal bands of the early 90s like Atheist, Cynic, Death and Pestilence, Gabriele Pala began Goldenseed project to experiment with everything not feasible by a band made of humans, in terms of forcefully exaggerated arrangements, speed and complexity. Thanks to the increasing popularity of social networks, Gabriele could get in touch with a lot of musicians around the world and collaborate with them. He appears as guest for some lead work in the debut album of the American band Gone In April, thanks to Chicco Parisi Lalonde (ex- Sadist).
2011 was a really productive year. The time has come to give life to a new Goldenseed episode, a more guitar-centric work entitled “The War Is In My Mind”. Album makes kaleidoscope of styles: Fusion, Progressive, Metal and much more that the guitarist Gabriele Pala mixes in an job accessible despite the melodic and structural complexity.
The last song in album featured guest appearance on vocals by Stian "Culto" Johansen (ex- Mayhem, Con Anima, Shadow Dancers, etc.)!

Norway normally stands for Black Metal of the worst kind. But now and then, more melodic Metal bands from such coutries, where the melodic Metal is active, but noone doesn´t pay attention to it, find a way to present their music. Gaia Epicus have belonged to the scene for years, to the American-German-mix Power Metal scene.
The album consists of 10 Power Metal killer tracks, very heavy and aggressive, but without any hyper-super-fast solos, but with powered, phat doublebasses and the typical guitars.
The choruses bore into your ears. Singer Thomas C. Hansen very varies with his self-containied voice. You nearly could think that there are five different vocalists singing! Very good! Even female vocals can be heard in „Be thy Cross My Victory“. The choirs partly are devastating and when you listen to them, your faceual muscles automatically get out of shape!
Tight and powerful, as well as speedy, not only the music, but also the production! Gaia Epicus are characterized by heaviness and speed!
This second output after the release of the debut album “Satrap” owns a large potential!!
Strongly recommended for fans of Helloween and Gamma Ray!!!

The Spanish one man project's debut full length opens with a piano heavy symphonic intro, "A New Creation", comes complete with female vocals, but it is the skillful piano work that immediately catches your ear, the piano continues well into the next track "Shadows of the Past", the song however picks up pace into a full blown Death Metal blast, slows down again and again forays into the realms of Death Metal with Symphonic Black undertones.
It is obvious from the get go that this album is a far cry from your standard one man band. Let's start from the fact that while most Metal albums use the guitar as the main attraction, while Garth Arum use both the guitar and the piano. Classical piano sound on the album is so dominant, rather than the standard synthesizer/keyboards that most Black/Gothic/Doom Metal acts use.
A fantastic composition with very interesting guitar effects, lead female vocals with the piano being dominant on the heavy chorus rather than the slower and more mellow verses making the sound very unusual and original, with electronic effects coming in towards the 3 minute mark. This is the album of a musician, an excellently executed piece of Metal mastery, impressive in its songwriting, the pace changes quickly, the longer compositions never overstay their welcome.
And most importantly, it's original and unusual enough to make anyone have a listen, foraying into several genres, including Symphonic, Black, Death and Doom; It's a fascinating piece of work and truly deserves a perfect score!!

The first re-release of the sixth full-length solo studio album by legendary British guitarist and singer.
His first studio effort after a 1985 trip back to his native Belfast, Northern Ireland, the album contains several songs about Ireland. The album is dedicated to the memory of Moore's close friend and former Thin Lizzy bandmate Phil Lynott, who died on 4 January 1986, with the words "For Philip" on the rear cover.
"Wild Frontier" contains the hit Single "Over the Hills and Far Away", which reached No. 20 in the UK, as well as a cover of the Easybeats' song "Friday on My Mind". The Max Middleton-penned "The Loner" was originally recorded by Cozy Powell for his "Over The Top" album in 1979 (on which Moore performed, albeit not on Powell's recording of "The Loner"). The track was substantially altered by Moore for his own recording, thus he is credited as a co-writer. The song "Crying in the Shadows", which was released as the B-side of the "Over the Hills and Far Away" Single in December 1986 and appears as a bonus track on the CD version of "Wild Frontier", was also recorded by Japanese singer Minako Honda, titled "The Cross (Ai No Jujika)", with Moore on guitar.
Gary Moore was joined by The Chieftains on select tracks from this album.
Remastered re-edition contains three bonus tracks.

Gates Of Isthar was formed in Luleå, Sweden, in 1992 under the name Disrupt (until 1994). Their second demo, "Season Of Frost", led to a record deal with Finnish Spinefarm Records. Their highly acclaimed debut album, "A Bloodred Path", was recorded at the famous Tico-Tico Studios (Sentenced, Demigod, Impaled Nazarene) and released in 1996.
These Swedes have a touch of frosty Black Metal in their melodic sound. The songs are catchy, change from groove beats to furious blast attacks, only to make you kneel on the ground with your horns up while the Maiden-like guitar solo drops in. Twin harmonies, pounding drums and bass, some keyboard here and there to give some more depth to the atmosphere and your high pitched vocals from the Blackest Scandinavian corner.

Four years after the release of the debut album "Dzień Nocy", Genius Ultor once again spits in the face of humanity. "Nic Co Boskie Nie Jest Mi Obce" – accompanied by such an impudent statement, Wirus, Zgorzel and Kra have created an album that is incredibly blasphemous, arrogant, and devoid of love for fellow men. It was recorded within the stale and moldy walls of a pre-war house, haunted by what it has witnessed – complete human humiliation and degradation. Hate, pride, the reek of ethanol followed by the taste of warm blood – all of this is apparent within the seven tracks comprising the album. It’s a lot more mature than the last one, but inflicting more severe wounds that sting even long after it’s over. Genius Ultor descends into the Black Metal gutter once again and proudly marches on, sparing nothing and nobody. The album, invoking a necrophobic atmosphere and paranoid unease since the first seconds of the title track, heralds the end of everything we know and ultimately triumphs over the cowering humanity.
This is simply a very good album, indeed!

A veteran of the Greek Melodic Metal circuit, described as the ‘Greek David Coverdale’, has amassed a contacts book to rival the best of them. In terms of Melodic Rock, there's no denying that Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen), Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow), James Kottak (Scorpions, Kingdom Come), Greg Smith (Alice Cooper), Mark Cross (Firewind, Helloween, Outloud) and Yiannis Spathas (legendary Greek Rock act Socrates) can indeed be classed as "Very Special Friends". Add to that list the multi-talented Kip Winger, who co-produced the cumbersomely titled "Too Much Ain't Never Enough" and there's no denying that all the ingredients to make a killer Melodic Rock album are in place!
As mentioned before, George Gakis is a bit of a fan of Whitesnake, and he seems to have taken that to its natural conclusion on this album, crafting ten tracks that take a cookie cutter to the British band’s back catalogue. What we have is tracks that, basically, would not be out of place if done by that band, and when they work, they work well. For example, "Days Of Rock ‘n’ Roll" is a fantastic track that echoes Whitesnake’s later years.
"Too Much Ain’t Never Enough" is a good album. It’s a solid, heavy, Blues based piece that should bring the name of George Gakis to a much wider audience!

Gianluca Ferro is a guitarist from exemplary curriculum, involved from years in collaborations with such artists, as Andrè Matos (Angra, Shaman), Kiko Loureiro (Angra), Rafael Bittencourt (Angra) and Scott McGill (Michael Manring, Vic Stevens). At the present, he’s a guitar teacher in a known musical academy.
Active since the late '90s in the Italian Prog-Metal scene, with bands such as Time Machine, Doomsword and Arkhè, Gianluca recorded many albums and performed intensively in Italy and abroad. He plays at the legendary Gods Of Metal in Milan, in different occasions, sharing the stage with bands, such as Iron Maiden, Slayer, Slipknot, Dark Tranquillity, Testament, Rammstein, Manowar, Symphony X, Running Wild and many others. At the same time, he collaborates with Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth, Angra) and Rafael Bittencourt at the album "Reviviscence" by Time Machine. While devoting himself to guitar teaching, toward the beginning of 2000 Gianluca starts working on his solo debut album, "Involution" released in 2005 and worldwide distributed by Century Media.
His solo career marks an artistic transition, blending his Jazz-Fusion skills with modern Metal influences and complex harmonic and rhythmic textures, exploring polyrhythms and polymeters in a pristine, original vision. In 2008, he released a guitar trio album with Strings 24, with whom plays at the Peralta Auditorioum in Spain, together with Patrick Rondat and, with the same line-up, he performs at the Guitar Day 4 in Milan together with Paul Gilbert, Mattias Eklundh.
In February 2010, Gianluca takes part in OSV Project 3, a guitar-oriented instrumental album, featuring guitarists Achilleas Diamantis, Borge Olzen, Marcel Coenen, Jonas Tamas and Phy Yaan-Zek, which arouses the interest of the famous producer Mark Varney.
The 15 tracks of his second solo-album recorded with the collaboration of famous musicians.
People, who enjoy acts like Liquid Tension Experiment, Steve Vai, Scale The Summit, and other instrumental Progressive Metal acts, should enjoy Gianluca Ferro's solo efforts!

Album was released during the heyday for the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, when Heavy Metal was seeing a resurgence especially in Gillan's homeland. Many, including Ian Gillan himself, rank "Double Trouble" as the band's pinnacle; their finest moment. On the studio tracks producer Steve Smith manages to capture the raw, heavy feel of the band that was sometimes missing in past albums. The studio album featured two hit singles, “Restless” and “Nightmare”, which were unfortunately only released in Europe.
The album is titled "Double Trouble" because originally this was released as a double LP set with one record being the new studio material and the rest being live material, mostly taken from England's 1981 Reading Festival. The one exception is "If You Believe Me" which was recorded at London's Rainbow Theatre, March 4, 1981.
It is the first album to feature Janick Gers, since Bernie Tormé left the band during the tour of Germany in 1981. In fact Tormé was fired because he did not want to participate in the playback TV performance of "No Laughing in Heaven" at "Top Of The Pops" on 24 June 1981. Janick Gers came in for the rest of the tour on 25 June 1981. Of course, Janick Gers went on to record with Bruce Dickinson and eventually joined Iron Maiden.
Album reached #12 in the UK charts.
In 1989, Virgin Records re-released the remastered version of album in CD format, with the same track listing.
