The eighth full-length studio solo album by legendary American Hard Rock/Glam Metal musician.
In 1985, Hagar joined Van Halen, and "VOA" was his last solo album until 1987's "I Never Said Goodbye". Around the same time Sammy Hagar joined Van Halen, guitarist Gary Pihl joined Boston.
The title of the album is a reference to the Voice of America broadcast network. Like Hagar himself, VOA is never subtle, but in hard rock, that's a positive attribute. The album features the Single "I Can't Drive 55", Hagar's most successful song as a solo artist.
The album peaked at number 32 on the Billboard 200 album charts on December 15, 1984.

It was the first and the lead Single from the debut album, "The Long Play", and was a major chart hit in Europe, reaching number one in multiple countries. The song reached number one on the official German Singles Chart for four consecutive weeks, between 13 September and 4 October 1985. The Single then peaked at number one in Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Finland. It also reached no. 1 on the airplay chart in Germany, as well as the top 5 in Austria. In the pan-European charts, it was a top 10 and a top 20 hit on the airplay and sales charts, respectively.

"For two years, the world has been preoccupied with politics and pandemics. While we were all looking the other way, our planet has continued to get hotter," says guitarist Russ Tippins. "Our Earth is now infernally hot. Almost irreversibly so. We are on a one-way trip to Hell and dragging our children and their children along with us. Yes, Satan has something to say about global warming."
Musically “Earth Infernal” might not harbour anything new for Satan and their fans, the songs are without exception bloody marvellous. Following up 2018's stunning "Cruel Magic" is no easy feat, a record that Tippins views as a "game changer" for Satan. Describing the record succinctly as "Brutal, up-tempo, loud guitars", it is classic Satan but sounds fresh and new, the band experimenting a little. And perhaps more importantly, Satan will continue to spread the important message at the heart of the album.
This cult act return with another splendid opus that offers us more of the band's legendary and unique style. Wonderfully tight musicianship centred around profoundly enjoyable and atmospheric songwriting. This is a band that have stuck to their guns and done so in a truly rewarding manner time and time again.
