The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Heavy/Glam Metal band.
The last album to feature Vince Neil until his return for their 1997 album “Generation Swine”. Produced by Bob Rock, which found the process of working with Mötley Crüe difficult, describing the band as "four L.A. bad asses who used to drink a bottle of wine and want to kill each other". In order to minimize conflict and allow production of the record to proceed smoothly, Rock had each member record their parts separately. Lars Ulrich of Metallica asked Bob Rock to produce their self titled album “Metallica”, after being impressed with Rock's production work on “Dr. Feelgood”.
"Dr. Feelgood" topped the Billboard 200 chart, being the first album Mötley Crüe had recorded after their quest for sobriety and rehabilitation in 1989. In addition to being Mötley Crüe's best selling album, it is widely regarded by music critics and fans as the band's best studio album. "Dr. Feelgood" and "Kickstart My Heart" were both nominated for Grammy awards for Best Hard Rock Performance, but lost twice to Living Colour.
"Dr. Feelgood" sold more than six million copies in the U.S. and went Gold in the U.K.

Second re-release of the fourth full-length album by the legendary American Glam Metal band.
"Girls, Girls, Girls" continued Mötley Crüe's commercial hot streak. In general, the Crüe really plays up the sleaze factor on this album, trying to recapture some of the street-tough grittiness that fueled "Too Fast for Love". The production is too polished to really give the record a raw, dirty feel, but the raunchiness comes through all the same. Again, there's a bit of filler, as though the band knew they didn't have to make a completely consistent record to maintain their popularity, but there are enough high points along the way to make "Girls, Girls, Girls" an entertaining Party-Metal platter.
The album features a more Blues-influenced sound than their previous albums. The record also reflects the band's hard-living lifestyle, and pays homage to their love of riding Harley Motorcycles, drinking whiskey, drug use, life on the Sunset Strip, and spending nights at strip clubs. However, there are darker sides to the album as well, notably Nikki Sixx's song "Dancing on Glass", about his addiction to heroin, and "Wild Side", which tells of destructive lifestyles and the pitfalls of decadence. Members of the band have stated that if they hadn't managed to write two successful songs that this album would have been the end of their careers. This is because they were all fighting addictions to drugs and alcohol.
The song "Nona" is a tribute to Nikki Sixx' grandmother, who died during the recording of the album.
The album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard charts. On the week it might have reached No. 1, Whitney Houston's second album, "Whitney", debuted at the top of the charts. The album was also the band's third straight album to go 4x Platinum, after "Shout At The Devil" and "Theatre Of Pain".

It was preceded by the release of the title track as a Single on 27 October, which peaked in the UK Singles Chart at No. 15 in early November. It was the band's debut release in the United States, with Mercury Records handling distribution in North America.
The album is listed in the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". In 2020, it was ranked at 408 on Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list.

Thus “Bastards”, whose tracks are featured here, seemed too many to present to a return to hard-core form. By the time Motörhead began recording “Bastards”, the band was essentially a quartet, consisting in this case of Lemmy, Mikkey Dee, Phil Campbell and Michael Burston, who was known as Würzel.
“Bastards” mixed band’s characteristically angry and intense Hard Rock – songs like “On Your Feet”, “Burner”, “Born To Rise Hell” and “Liar” – with powerful, more acoustic ballads like “Lost In The Ozone” and the thoughtful and painful child-abuse number “Don’t Let Daddy Kiss Me”. The first re-release on vinyl of the fourth live album, “Blitzkrieg On Birmingham '77”, by legendary British Heavy/Speed Metal/Hard Rock band.
This album showcases Motörhead’s incendiary gig at the Birmingham Town Hall, on 3 June 1977, during the Beyond the Threshold of Pain Tour.
1977 was a pivotal year for Motörhead, seeing as it saw the release of their debut, self-titled album and also the hiring of Fast Eddie Clarke, forging what is invariably seen as the classic line up of this seminal band. The year may be closely associated with the height of Punk Rock, but the ultra Heavy Metal styling of Lemmy & Co always crossed the divide and appealed to Punk and Metal fans alike.
"Birmingham Town Hall 1977" is the first recording from Eddie Clarke's personal archive that got released. And it was the first gig on the tour with Hawkwind and also the first gig that was made after the initial recordings of the "Motörhead" album.
The 11 tracks here straddle the tracks written for that debut LP ("Iron Horse/Born To Lose", "Vibrator" and "White Line Fever") and older material such as "Motörhead", originally penned by Lemmy's previous employers Hawkwind, their cover of Eddie Holland's Motown classic "Leaving Here" and "On Parole", first recorded with Clarke's predecessor Larry Wallis in 1976 then shelved.
This live recording has cropped up in so many and varied releases on CD that it is almost impossible to keep track on. For the first time, it was officially released in 1989 on CD & LP as “Blitzkrieg On Birmingham '77”. Every time it gets re-issued, it also gets a new title.
The sound of one of the finest bands ever, just beginning to hit their stride!

The band's first studio album to not feature guitarist Würzel, and returning to usual three-piece format, instead of four-piece on the past six albums. 
Following the extremely Thrashy "Sacrifice", Motörhead returned to their typical three-chord Rock & Roll onslaught with 1996's "Overnight Sensation".

The second live album by legendary British Heavy/Speed Metal/Hard Rock band.
The album was recorded live at the Roundhouse, London, on 18 February 1978 at a benefit concert for William Wordsworth manuscripts and, due to contractual reasons, Motörhead were billed under the name Iron Fist & The Hordes Of Helldue, part of which would later be used for the name of a studio album, "Iron Fist".
Chiswick Records boss, Ted Carroll, organized the Rolling Stones mobile truck to record the event, and the rights to the recording becomes to Chiswick Records (sub-label and forerunner of Ace Records). They officially released it as a live album in February 1983 on Big Beat Records, a sub-label of Ace Records.
The album features nine songs from their mid-to-late 1970s period and includes tracks such as "The Watcher", "Iron Horse/Born to Lose", and "Leaving Here".
Lemmy is heard at the end of the concert to say "read plenty of Wordsworth" and as a result the album got its title because of this.
The album reached number 71 in the charts. Since then, it has been re-released with other titles and/or other sleeves, among others as "The Watcher" in Canada, "City Kids", "Live, Loud And Lewd", "Iron Fist And The Hordes From Hell" and "England 1978". In 2017, this concert was re-released on a 3LP box set of Motörhead's debut album, specially for Record Store Day.

The first re-release of the fourth full-length studio album by legendary British Death Metal/Grindcore band.
Along the way Napalm Death started to receive flak from their original fan base which consisted of mainly Crust Punks and Hardcore Punks that were fans of their original Grindcore sound. Unflinching from the flak, Napalm Death said to hell with those cries and went back in the following year and released a compilation called "Death By Manipulation" which showed an even more Floridian Death Metal influence than before, which sadly was whirlwind drummer Mick Harris's last output with the band due to musical differences and stress from the road. Napalm Death kept pushing forward and with their fourth album "Utopia Banished". This album proved to be their biggest success, peaking at number 58 on the UK chart.
The album features samples of dialogue from the movies “They Live” and “Full Metal Jacket”. It is the first album featuring Danny Herrera on drums following the departure of Mick Harris.
“Utopia Banished” has been remastered specially for this release and includes four bonus tracks recorded during the same period! Reissue pressed on black vinyl limited to 800 copies, with printed inner sleeve.

For the first time on Picture Disc, the sixteenth full-length studio album by legendary British Death Metal/Grindcore band.
It is the band's first full-length studio album since 2015's "Apex Predator – Easy Meat", making it their longest gap between albums.
According to vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway, "The phrase sticking in my mind when I started thinking about the lyrical direction for this album was “the other”. You could recognize at the time that there was a rapidly growing fear and paranoia being generated about everybody, from migrating people to people with fluid sexuality, and this was starting to manifest itself in very antagonistic reactions that you felt were almost verging on violence. Not everybody resorts to such reactions, of course, but even the basic lack of understanding can become toxic over time. I’m not saying that this is an entirely new phenomenon, but it has been stoked in recent history by some particularly attack-minded people in more political circles and, as ever, I felt that it would be the natural antidote to endorse basic humanity and solidarity with all. The artwork specifically uses a white dove as a centrepiece, which of course is a commonly recognized symbol of peace and cooperation. The dove has been mauled very violently by a sterilizing hand, and in death appears particularly broken and bloodied. However, through the violence you can see an equality symbol in blood on the chest of the dove, which perhaps demonstrates – visually at least – that equality cuts through in the end. A positive amidst many negatives then, much like the album title itself being a bit of an oxymoron – the celebration of humanity even in the mangling jaws of negativity".
Metal Hammer named it the second-best Metal album of 2020.

The second full-length studio album legendary the Scottish Hard Rock band.
Although their music is most accurately described as "Blues-tinged Hard Rock" (CD liner notes), this record is quite far from the band's more standard fare, featuring, quite surprisingly, a number of acoustic arrangements, several songs with orchestral strings, and traditional Scottish airs. The band was known for being a pure, powerful Hard Rock band in concert and on later releases, but on this album they decided to abandon the riff-heavy guitar assault they showcased as a live act. "Exercises" is a collection of mostly acoustic tracks with lush harmonies and little sign of the driving in-your-face Rock that they showcased on their debut, "Nazareth". On tracks like "Madelaine" and "In My Time", the band comes across more like laid-back English Pop balladeers Badfinger than their real contemporaries like Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy.
There are a few strong moments on the album. "Woke Up This Morning" is a strong track that provides a Bluesy vocal performance by Dan McCafferty, driving rhythm, and some great slide guitar work by Manny Charlton. "Called Her Name" is another song where the listener will find the band hitting full stride and sounding much more comfortable. The album's "1692 (Glen Coe Massacre)" is about a real incident in Scottish history, namely, the massacre of Glencoe. The album is also significant for its Roy Thomas Baker production—only his third project, and well before his breakthrough works with Queen in the mid-seventies—and its oddly 'new wave' cover-art. An early version of the "Razamanaz" song, "Woke Up This Morning", also makes an appearance on Side 1.
Fortunately, with the help of Deep Purple bassist/producer Roger Glover, the band managed to return to their Hard Rock style and finally captured their live sound on their follow-up album, 1973's "Razamanaz", which cemented their reputation as an upper-echelon Hard Rock act of the '70s.

The fourth re-release of the eighth full-length studio album by legendary Scottish Hard Rock band.
"Play 'N' The Game" found Nazareth continuing in the AOR direction they established with "Close Enough For Rock 'N' Roll". Like that album, it trades the driving Rock that made the group famous for an experimental sound that toys with several musical genres.
For instance, "Down Home Girl" is a stab at Southern Rock, and the band's cover of the Beach Boys classic "Wild Honey" slows down that song's tempo to create an effects-laden Psychedelic atmosphere. Elsewhere, the group covers the Hard Rock bases with "Someone to Roll" and "Born to Love", a pair of energetic, guitar-driven Rockers that would have fit in fine on "Razamanaz" or "Loud & Proud". They also cross-breed the energy of these tracks with Pop hooks on "L.A. Girls", a nimble bit of Pop/Rock fusion where speedy guitar riffs duke it out a with handclap-driven Pop song beat. However, the undeniable highlights of "Play 'N' The Game" are its ballads: "I Want to Do Everything for You" is a promise of eternal love built on a swinging and pleasingly earthy bass groove and "I Don't Want to Go on Without You" is a moody tale of lost love that shows off Manny Charlton's ability to craft the soft but powerful guitar riffs necessary for a good power ballad.
This album benefits from a more consistent overall sound than "Close Enough For Rock 'n' Roll", but its shifts in tone are too abrupt for their own good, making the proceedings come off as a loose collection of songs instead of a fully conceived album. Despite this problem, "Play 'N' The Game" is an effective slice of AOR that will please the Nazareth fan base!

The first re-release of the sixth full-length studio album by cult German Thrash Metal band.
Necronomicon made an honest attempt at a comeback with 2004's "Construction Of Evil". But "Revenge Of The Beast" it's damned well the best album the band have whipped up since 20 years prior! “Revenge Of The Beast” marks the 25th anniversary of the band’s existence, and although only the forbidding voice and riffs of frontman, Volker "Freddy" Fredrich, remains of the original fold, you wouldn’t know it by how remarkably similar it sounds to the band’s renowned late 80s classics!
The band is still drawing from the same well as their more famous peers Sodom and Destruction, but they do so with enough finesse to get the blood circulating and the limbs thrashing out in anger. Tempos are kept high, the songs are characteristically evil yet sincere trip into a realm of unspeakable horror, rather than the homeboy driven nonsense that many American Thrashers can’t seem to pull themselves out of. The guitars are savage and powerful, they sound potent enough to grind meat with. Freddy likewise sounds great, like a cousin to both Schmier and Angelripper, his sneering giving the music below all the authentic character it needs to charm the German Thrash Metal diehard. Freddy’s vocals tend to maintain a sort of 2-dimensional affect here, going back and forth between his signature Punk inspired shouts and an occultist chant while making really odd metaphors lyrically pagan imagery right out of a shaman ritual.
Necronomicon stands as the flawless D’Artagnan that avoided the mistakes of the Teutonic 3 Musketeer, and thus perhaps worthy of a greater level of respect in some sense. “Revenge Of The Beast” is a worthy and consistent new addition to a brilliant discography of quasi-melodic, riff oriented Thrashing goodness that would fare well against many of the albums of the late 80s.

First re-release of the second full-length album by the cult German Thrash Metal band.
Necronomicon were one of the many Underground Thrash bands that didn't gain the recognition or respect they truly deserved. Hailing from Germany, they never broke through and achieved the level of acclaim or renown as the 'Big Three' of German Thrash, those being Kreator, Destruction and Sodom.
"Apocalyptic Nightmare" originally was released in 1987 and shows a band capable to truly catch the dark and brutal German Thrash Metal spirit. The music on here is raw, straightforward Thrash Metal the way it used to be played in the early 80s. There is a big influence from Destruction present, and to a lesser extent from Sodom's first few records. A gritty production increases the intensity present on many of the songs, with simple yet effective, 'rough' sounding riffs played at a high pace driving them forward. Adding to this is the guitar tone, which is scratchy with a lot of treble present. The vocals are harsh yells that sound undeniably German, complimenting the style of riffing nicely.
Necronomicon are still active today after 30 years in the Underground and they are still playing Thrash Metal, so that should tell you enough about their credibility. If you're into obscure and evil Thrash Metal, you will definetely love this!!

For the first time on vinyl, the fifth full-length studio album by cult German Thrash Metal band.
Necronomicon was perhaps sometimes known as a 'poor man's Destruction', but they had their moments, most notably 1988's "Escalation". There are still comparisons to be made to Destruction, especially as Volker's vocals still persist in their painful pinch a-la Schmier, but the riffs seem to have come into a life of their own. Much of "Construction Of Evil" has a tight, consistent flow to it, a steady violence, fun tracks like "Stormbringer", "Paralizer", "Bone Daddy" and "Hard Pain", loaded with well-meaning guitars, flighty leads and bitter, biting vocals.
The album adheres very strongly to the original mixture of aggressive vocal shouts and melodic riffing observed on their early albums, but with a much cleaner production and a bit of an awareness of the newer German Power Metal acts that came out of the mid to late 1990s such as Paragon and Iron Savior. This is particularly noticeable in the peculiar sound and character of the lead guitar tracks. Naturally, the mix here is far superior to what they've done before, from a technical standpoint. The instruments are very well-balanced, the vocals at the forefront without robbing the guitars of their power.
Likewise, the band’s mastery of the gang chorus is almost enough to put Anthrax and Overkill to shame. The lead and gang backup interchanges on the chorus sections of “Fiction” and “Paralizer” succeed in being twice as bombastic as what was heard on “Taking Over” or “Among The Living”, while being just a little too aggressive for much of the German Power Metal scene.
Stylistically, the variation in approach from song to song mostly hearkens back to the mid to late 80s approach, mostly being dominated by speed songs with the occasional slower rocker and token half-ballad. "Alight" and "Hills of Dead" have a lot of German pre-Thrash elements and NWOBHM leanings. “Terrorist Attack” definitely carries some heavy Accept influences, as well as a gloomy piano line which is fairly uncharacteristic for a straight Thrash Metal outfit. “Fireball” has this sombre acoustic line to it that meshes with some standard Power chord riffing to form a middle ground between Anthrax and Bad Religion. It’s certainly the catchiest and vocally melodic of what’s on here, but occasionally kicks in the speed to keep it from being a straight power ballad.
To the prospective shopper of faster Metal with a taste for the old school, this is something that can appeal equally to fans of Old-school Thrash Metal, early US Power Metal and early German Speed Metal. The only thing that the latter two groups of fans should consider is that Freddy Fredrich’s gravely vocal style is more akin to the semi-melodic shouts of Kreator and Destruction than the less dirty melodic vocal approach of Rolf Kasperek or Udo Dirkschneider. But for fans of German Thrash Metal, this is far superior to what most of their scene has been offering in the first decade of the current century.

First re-release of the third full-length album by the cult German Thrash Metal band.
Formed in 1984, the band from Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg, could have made it big, if only they hadn’t fallen prey to the wrong record label back in the days… be that as it may, Necronomicon never gave in, and they are still here today. “Escalation” certainly one of the most successful releases by Necronomicon and has reached cult status. It was recorded and mixed during the year 1987 at the Zuckerfabrik Studio, Stuttgart. When musicians wrote the songs, they wanted to leave the dark path of the two previous productions and musically to sound broader and more diverse… somehow more mature. And they must be very proud of the result. According to the reactions by fans & press, all these goals were met. The band had developed a much more focused approach to the songwriting, delivered a tighter and faster performance, and also Freddy’s vocals had changed. Compared to the former albums, they had become a lot harsher, and a lot more unique.
In general, this album is said to be the most convincing of Necronomicon’s first three outputs. The response was incredible, band gained worldwide attention and got a lot of great reviews. For the first time, Necronomicon earned a little money with one of their releases, because Gama Records held the exclusive rights only up to a certain sales volume... they simply had not reckoned with the success. The release of "Escalation" was followed by band's legendary East European tour that should herald the breakthrough for the band before then the big bang should follow. Necronomicon recorded “Escalation” as a three piece, as bassist Lars “Lala“ Honeck had left the band. But on the European tour, Michael Mörgelin came in as band's new bass player. 
“Escalation” comes with a bunch of great Thrash Metal tunes, some of which are even regarded as small classics, like the opener “Death Toll” and “Cold Ages (Dark Land 3)”. Only “Dirty Minds” is a bit unusual, being more classic Hard Rock than Thrash Metal. Memorable and razorblade-like riffs, galloping basslines and precise drumming are some of the qualities that can be found here. Everything sounds clear and no instrument overlaps the other. "Escalation" enjoys of a healthy wall of sound that would please any Thrash Metal fan! It's a highly recommended album for Thrash and classic Metal listeners!!
