Comprised of founding members Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall and C.C. DeVille, Poison is one of Hard Rock’s truly iconic and enduring bands with sales of over 50 million globally with 15 million in the U.S. alone.
Vocalist Bret Michaels described the record as a "glorified demo". It was recorded in twelve days at Los Angeles' Music Grinder Studios with producer Ric Browde, for a cost of US $23 000, part of which was funded from the pockets of the band members and their families.
Though the album not a success at first, it steadily built momentum and peaked at #3 on the US Billboard 200 on May 23, 1987. "Look What The Cat Dragged In" introduced the world to the band’s Sunset Strip sound and became a surprise success. Launched with the single "Cry Tough", the  album spawned three successful singles: "Talk Dirty to Me", "I Want Action", and "I Won't Forget You".
"Look What the Cat Dragged In" peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200, was certified Gold in 1987, and went 3x multi-Platinum in 1990 by the RIAA. It has also been certified Silver by the BPI, and Platinum in Canada.

The fourth live album by the legendary American Hard Rock/Glam Metal band.
Live at Hammersmith Apollo, London, 23rd April, 1993. It was originally released on VHS in 1993 and then on DVD in 2006. In 2008, an audio CD was released from the same 1993 concert. The tracklisting is the same as the DVD with the exception of an additional track, "Your Mama Don't Dance".
"Seven Days Live" include Poison's biggest hits such as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "Talk Dirty To Me" and "Unskinny Bop". The sound quality is decent. This is the only recording of the Richie Kotzen era, so it is historically important. The band's performance is solid, and on its own merits it's a good CD.
No nonsense and no holds barred, Seven Days Live is a superbly produced live album! This is vintage stuff from 1993, with Poison pretty much in their prime. Bret Michaels is a fantastic frontman/singer and he and drummer Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall on bass and C.C. DeVille's replacement, Richie Kotzen, on guitar rock out and rock out hard! This was, obviously, the Native Tongue tour, and since Kotzen wasn't going to last with the band, it's an even more important document of a brief moment in the Glam band's career!

Re-release of the second full-length studio album, including the first EP, by legendary American Death/Thrash Metal.
Never ones to think twice about flirting with supernatural evil forces, San Francisco's Possessed scheduled their second album to be released on Halloween 1986. Maybe they should have been a little more wary, as the recording that should have built upon the solid foundation laid down by the previous year's genre-forming debut "Seven Churches" (still regarded as one of Death Metal's inaugural cornerstones), wound up coming as a disappointment to a lot critic and fans alike. Taking a different direction from their debut, "Seven Churches", "Beyond The Gates" has a more technical feeling and, due to poor production, a muddy sound.
In most observer's eyes, "Beyond The Gates" represented an almost indefensible step backwards; transforming a sound previously distinguished for its inexorable power into a ragged, decidedly weaker-kneed replacement. Perhaps the record's feeble production was to blame, although it's hard to lay the blame entirely on experienced producer Carl Canedy in light of his previous triumphs with Anthrax and Overkill. More likely, it was a combination of difficulties: poor funding, rushed recording conditions, questions over musical direction, and simple lack of preparedness (all common problems for starving, under-pressure-to-deliver Extreme Metal bands) that doused the flames. At all, reception was mixed, with some critics and fans being very disappointed by the album for the sound and production, while others were satisfied with the new direction of the band. Over the years, fans have slowly appreciated "Beyond The Gates" and have even considered it being an "underrated masterpiece" and "overlooked classic".
"Beyond The Gates" became a sign of Possessed's decline, as they only released the EP, "The Eyes Of Horror", before they officially disbanded the following year. This became the band’s last album until the release of their third studio album, "Revelations Of Oblivion", 33 years later.
This re-release contains the "The Eyes Of Horror" EP as a bonus.

"Seven Churches" is widely regarded as the first Death Metal album to exist, and About.com named it one of the ten essential albums of the genre. Jeff Becerra and Larry Lalonde were only 16 when the album was recorded.
The album title refers to the Seven Churches of Asia mentioned in the Book of Revelation. "The Exorcist" begins with producer Randy Burns' version of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells", performed as it was in the 1973 horror film of the same name. 
In August 2014, Revolver placed Seven Churches on its "14 Thrash Albums You Need to Own" list.

Possessor is a Thrash/Speed Metal band from Suffolk, Virginia and they promised old school Thrash. And they deliver us 13 tracks totally dedicated to the glorious days of Thrash Metal!
"City Built With Skulls" starts with a prophetical intro speaking of Earth’s demise, painting a landscape of devastation ravaged by famine and war which then leads into "Fire from Hell" a very good Thrash song, really intense and aggressive. The rest of the album follows with the same idea, very fast and aggressive songs, made for headbanging and moshing, with special mention to the song "Heavy Metal Underground" an ode to the Underground of Metal!
Intense, violent tunes with wild leads and razor sharp guitar riffs, sometimes on neckbreaking speed but yet some skilled tempo changes. The quintet also tries to keep the album varied as much as possible by integrating cool gang shouts and some variation in the vocal department. Singer Robby Rainey combines aggressive Thrash vocals with high pitch screams which we all know from many mighty US Metal bands. An awesome mix - like US Metal on stereoids. The talent is there as well as the right attitude. So this squad truly belongs to the stronger acts of the new generation of that style. The feeling and atmosphere is also quite authentic and really breathes the spirit of the long gone past. "City Built With Skulls" makes a lot of fun to listen to and excellent tracks like "Champions Of Chaos", "Metal Meltdown" or the great title track prove this with class and generate a lot of energy.
This is a very strong debut album for these American Thrashers, although it doesn’t have anything new or special to offer, it can appeal to fans of old school brutal and aggressive Thrash Metal! If you are a Thrasher and worship the 80s you can't do anything wrong by adding this cool album to your collection!!

15th Anniversary Deluxe Edition re-release of the second full-length studio album by cult German Power Metal band.
It may seem outdated genre for today, yet, Power Metal is one of the basic styles of Metal and it is the style of Heavy Metal. Despite all, Power Metal has always had a mesmerizing capacity of capturing the taste and hearts of the listeners, today as back in time. Of course, this still happens today for the giants of days gone and forlorn but also for newer bands, especially when expressing a good Power Metal, which is the case of Powerwolf.
This is an excellent power album, delivering exactly what is expected: fast, ear-friendly riffs, operatic vocals and short, powerful tracks that delivers positive energy.
The title of the album may be a reference to the story of Thiess of Kaltenbrun, a Livonian man who lived in Jürgensburg, Swedish Livonia, in 1692 and publicly admitted being a werewolf, referring to himself as "The Hound of God", boldly claiming that he and other werewolves went to Hell to fight the Devil.
All tracks are quite good. Vocalist Attila Dorn is clearly the star and main focus here, around whom everything else rotates. His job is truly great; his vocal performance remarkable as he has a powerful voice that boasts out and kicks you in the chest. The rest of the band delivers, with great solos and main riffs that enters your brain from start. Production is excellent and presents really high standards, as is also the songwriting. In addition to recording at Woodhouse Studios, Germany, the band recorded some parts of the album in the 12th-century Deutschherrenkapelle chapel in Saarbrücken. The band also used a 30-members choir on the songs "In Blood We Trust" and "Lupus Dei".
"Lupus Dei" is a really good album, and can be strongly recommend to any Metalhead, also if Power Metal is not your preferred style. This is a very good album with a lot of great features, perfect to set up the power mood and release a high level of energy. Prepare to feel as you're headbanging with the wolves, because you will!

Brutalizing Death/Thrash the oldschool way! With 14 years on the road, Predatory got influences of different strands of Metal. In essence, it is about a brutal sound.
