The tenth full-length album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
"Generation Nothing" marks the return to the band's classic Metal sound. Says founding member Kurdt Vanderhoof: "It has elements of both the first album and the "The Dark", but still embraces the new sound of the band without chasing the past". This album is band's first after their late 2012 reunion, and their fourth to featured vocalist Ronny Munroe.
Born out of the West Coast Metal scene in the 80's, Metal Church quickly became one of the standout talents of their genre. The band's first release simply entitled "Metal Church" postured the band as one of the pioneers of the Thrash Metal scene, while their sophomore release "The Dark” was championed as one of the premier Metal releases of the 80's.
Since Howe's departure when the band originally folded in 1994 Metal Church's line-up has been unstable at best. This instability accounts for the band's less than spectacular outings. The man holding the band together is guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof who has finally stabilized the line-up throughout the course of the past couple recordings. Now with the current band’s line-up, "Generation Nothing" combines the best elements of the band’s early roots with modern day lyrical content and a revived hunger that delivers an electric assault of anthemic & epic Metal songs.
Metal Church has always released amazing studio albums (the abominable "Masterpeace" being the lone exception) but never quite has been able to get the recognition that they have so long deserved. Now we can hope that "Generation Nothing" can change the critical reception for the band because it is not only one of the best Metal albums of the 2013 calendar year, it is one of the best Metal Church albums ever! All Hail The Metal Church!!

“This Present Wasteland” is the ninth and final studio album by famous thrash/heavy metal band Metal Church. After recording this album and few live shows band is calling it quits.
This is the only album to feature Rick Van Zandt on guitar.
