This is band's first studio album in eight years, since 2004's "Honkin' On Bobo", and the first in eleven years to feature all-new material, since 2001's "Just Push Play", marking the longest gap between Aerosmith's studio albums.
Aerosmith truly show their age by the very nature of the album itself. Simply put, nobody makes albums like this anymore. Nobody breaks the bank attempting to make a Rock album that's everything to everyone, and Aerosmith sound entirely oblivious to this state of affairs, carrying on like it was 1997. And, in a sense, as an overall piece of product, "Music From Another Dimension!" is no worse than "Nine Lives". It's faithfully follows Aerosmith's '90s blueprint, getting nothing wrong but never quite feeling right. 
The album includes the singles: "Legendary Child", "Lover Alot", "What Could Have Been Love", and "Can't Stop Lovin' You".
“Music From Another Dimension!” debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 selling just 63000 copies its first week, a sharp contrast to previous debuts. The album received mostly mixed reviews from music critics, with online review site Metacritic calculating an aggregate score of 54/100 based on 22 reviews.

Aerosmith continued its winning streak. "Pump", the follow-up to 1987’s "Permanent Vacation", slams one point home with particular force: that the renewed vigor displayed by the band on "Permanent Vacation" wasn’t just a fluke. While "Permanent Vacation" was a major comeback for Aerosmith, it was also somewhat of a stylistic departure. Songs like “Dude (Looks Like a Lady)” and “Angel” may have echoed the band’s signature style, but they represented a slicker, glossier version of the ragtag Rockers so many of us grew up with. "Pump", however, transports the listener right back to the gilt-edged Grunge of Aerosmith’s wonder years. More than anything else, the album recalls Aerosmith circa "Toys In The Attic", the period just before substance abuse and Tyler-Perry bickering sapped the band of its creative energy.
"Pump" is the second of three sequentially recorded Aerosmith albums to feature producer Bruce Fairbairn and engineers Mike Fraser and Ken Lomas at Little Mountain Sound Studios. On the "Pump", songs show an older, wiser Aerosmith traipsing boldly into the nineties, but between the lines lurk the bombastic bandits of the seventies. Where "Permanent Vacation" seemed a little overwhelmed by its Pop concessions, "Pump" revels in them without ever losing sight of Aerosmith's dirty Hard Rock core. Which doesn't mean the record is a sellout - "What It Takes" has more emotion and grit than any of their other power ballads; "Janie's Got a Gun" tackles more complex territory than most previous songs; and "The Other Side" and "Love in an Elevator" Rock relentlessly, no matter how many horns and synths fight with the guitars. Such ambition and successful musical eclecticism make "Pump" rank with "Rocks" and "Toys In The Attic".
The album has certified sales of 7 000 000 copies in the U.S. to date, and is tied with its successor "Get A Grip" as Aerosmith's second best-selling studio album in the U.S. ("Toys In The Attic" leads with eight million). It produced a variety of successes and "firsts" for the band including their first Grammy Award ("Janie's Got a Gun"). "Love in an Elevator" became the first Aerosmith song to hit #1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Additionally, it is the only Aerosmith album to date to have three Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and three number one singles on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album was also the fourth bestselling album of the year 1990.
In the UK, it was the second Aerosmith album to be certified Silver (60 000 units sold) by the British Phonographic Industry, achieving this in September 1989.

The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock/Blues Rock band.
The last Aerosmith album for eight years to feature Joe Perry for the entire recording (he left halfway through the recording of their next album, "Night in the Ruts").
It was recorded in an abandoned convent near New York City. The portrait of the band on the album cover was drawn by the celebrity caricaturist Al Hirschfeld.
As the band began recording "Draw The Line", their excessive lifestyle, combined with constant touring and drug use, began to take its toll. Although the LP would sell well more than a million copies in fewer than six weeks after its release, in 2014 Perry would refer to it as "the beginning of the end" and "the decay of our artistry". It marks the band's first slowdown in album sales of their 1970s era, after their initial rise with the albums "Toys In The Attic" and "Rocks". The album was less successful than their previous albums, selling only 2 million copies ("Toys In The Attic" sold 8 million, "Rocks" sold 4 million).
Kerrang! Magazine listed the album at No. 37 among the "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time" for its "high energy", although it never touches Heavy Metal as a genre, concluding with the comment "sleaze was never so classy".
"Draw The Line" went Platinum in its first month of release, entering the music charts on December 24, 1977, peaking at No. 11 on the US Billboard 200, and eventually being certified 2x multi-Platinum nearly a decade later.

The thirteenth full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock/Blues Rock band.
Despite the fact that many consider this album to be the wayward point in the band’s career, "Just Push Play" is the most coherent output since 1989’s "Pump". The previous records, "Get A Grip" and "Nine Lives", struggled to balance out the band’s roots and a modern Hard Rock approach, especially when it comes to the former. On the other hand, "Just Push Play" fully embraced the current trends and a strong Pop feel, almost entirely drowning the Blues touch the band known for. The album dominated by modern Rock tracks, but band also experimented with some symphonic elements.
Another strong point of this album is the production handled by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry themselves, with the help of Mark Hudson and Marti Fredriksen. Although they still included outside producers, this album sounds a lot like their classic efforts, more so than any album recorded during the 90’s most likely due to input by the band members themselves.
The band were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, making them the first band to be inducted while their song was still in the charts.
"Just Push Play" might have seemed like a risky step at the time, but listening to it today, we can freely say that this is just another classic Aerosmith record, which showcases their ability to adapt and survive in the ever-shifting music industry! "Just Push Play" was a great way to kick off the new millennium for Aerosmith and solidified their position as one of the most popular hard rock bands to this day!!
"Just Push Play" debuted at No. 2 within the Billboard 200, selling over 240,000 copies in its first week. The album's first single, "Jaded", became a Top 10 hit in the US and around the world. As a result, "Just Push Play" was certified Platinum within a month of its release. Subsequent singles "Fly Away from Here", "Sunshine", and "Just Push Play", though garnering some airplay, failed to impact the Hot 100, although the latter two reached the US Mainstream Rock chart and the former appeared within the Adult Top 40.
The album nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2001, including Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group ("Jaded"), and Best Short Form Music Video ("Fly Away from Here").

After the hiatus late 70s with Joe Perry leaving the band, Aerosmith was not finished and would make a remarkable comeback in the 80s. With some successful albums and chart topping songs, Aerosmith was back in action to retake the crown as the greatest Rock and Roll band in America.
In 1994, "Big Ones" was released and is a definitive compilation of Aerosmith's greatest songs of the 80s and early 90s. The album featured 12 hits from the band's three consecutive multi-Platinum albums, "Permanent Vacation" (1987), "Pump" (1989), and "Get A Grip" (1993), as well as the hit, "Deuces are Wild" from "The Beavis and Butt-Head Experience" (1993), and two new songs, "Blind Man" and "Walk on Water", which were recorded during a break in the band's Get a Grip Tour. The eighth  full-length studio album by legendary American Hard Rock Rock band.
The band's first album on Geffen Records, "Done With Mirrors" was intended as their ‘comeback’, marked the return to the band of guitarists Joe Perry, who left in 1979, and Brad Whitford, who departed in 1981. However, the record failed to live up to commercial expectations despite positive reviews. Rocking too Hard for AOR, the album died on the charts, and the band got scared, leading to their commercial reinvention on "Permanent Vacation" (1987).
In 1991, "Done With Mirrors" ranked at number 409 in list of the "500 Best Heavy Metal Albums".
