The eighth compilation album by legendary German Heavy/Power Metal band.
Grave Digger played Teutonic Speed Metal band in their first few years, but then slow down a bit and start making traditional Heavy Metal with a few Speed elements. They split up and then became Digger (1986-1987) and then Hawaii (1988-1991), before reforming as Grave Digger in 1991.
This compilation contains material from that tumultuous period: "Bottles And Four Coconuts" Demo (1989), "Return Of The Reaper" Demo (1991), and "For Promotion Only!!" EP (1992). Line-up features Uwe Lullis (Accept). Remastered & restored by Achilleas Kalantzis (Varathron, Possesed, Sacramentum).
Unsurprisingly, most songs sound like the Grave Digger of the '80s, a more basic and straightforward, catchy style of Heavy Metal than what they've been doing since the '90s with various concept albums. If you're expecting some horrific material here, you'll don't hear anything that put you off on this compilation. Surprisingly, everything flows rather well and doesn't sound disjointed!
The CD includes a copious booklet with an extensive liner notes from original and founding member Chris Boltendahl with Pim Blankenstein, and rare and exclusive pictures.

Remastered re-release of the debut full-length album by the cult Swedish Death Metal band.
If any person wants to start listening to Grave, their debut should be the first album that should be introduced! This is totally Grave's best album!! As you listen to this album, you could notice that it's filled with influences from Autopsy and Sepultura, but it's as if Autopsy or Sepultura went down to the depths of hell, came back, and recorded this album. That's what this album sounds like. It's far more aggressive and brutal than Severed Survival, Sepultura's “Schizophrenia” and “Beneath The Remains” (though, those albums are masterpieces as well). The album isn't extremely long to where you want to shoot yourself because you can't finish it, and it's not too short. It's approximately forty-two minutes, a perfect length, and those will be the most brutal forty-two minutes of your life! The musicianship on this album is excellent, is some of the best from any band in the Swedish Death Metal scene!
Overall, this album is definitely Grave's best album and one of the best Death Metal debuts worldwide. “Into The Grave” is one unbelievably insane album with intense songs that will completely get you hooked on this band!!

Grave followed their classic debut, "Into the Grave", with an equally fearsome, if less recognized album. Swedish oldschool Death Metal in the vein of Entombed and Dismember, but with a heavier and more malevolent feel. The songs on "You'll Never See..." are constructed of simple riffs and relatively straightforward compositions, Technical Death Metal. Grave's charm instead lies in the conviction of their delivery rather than their instrumental prowess. Every song is in fused with an all-consuming, yet organic heft and seething brutality. The tracks are a mix of mid-paced chugging, slow grooves and occasional bursts of speed. The vocals are a fairly deep, guttural growl, but not entirely indecipherable. The drumming is simple but effective, with liberal use of double bass. Guitar solos are short, uncluttered affairs, competent and well-placed, but not overly heroic. The album recorded at legendary Sunlight Studios.
What makes this album great is that Grave’s reach never exceeds their grasp. Grave set out to create a brutally heavy, evil Death Metal record, and they succeed in spades. The album flows seamlessly from one thick slab of death to the next with unrelenting power. “You’ll Never See...” is a crushing classic, a pleasure for every Death Metal fan… buy it without fear!

Re-release of the cult material of the band, first time using other mix, which was never published before for 20 years, with alternative versions of the tracks.
“The Celtic Winter” originally was planned as an EP, but failed due to financial reasons. So it was released as the 6th demo tape in 1994. It was re-released on MCD format in 1994 with only three songs, and then re-released again on CD format in 1996.
"The Celtic Winter" emerges from a fusion of romantic melody and Raw Black Metal in the context of waltzlike, dreamtime music with classical aspirations delivered in microambient doses through its complexity of barren minimalist structure. Fundamental intensity in this music derives from the tension between its melodic progression and its violent, half-dancelike war-step rhythm. The songs are written in middle tempo. Darken's vocals contain a lot of reverb. He used atmospheric keyboards and slow guitars, which had some similarity to Celtic Frost's "To Mega Therion". Building on the foundations of Bathory, Graveland turn sequences of simple phrases into gradually expanding sound scapes of wintery battles. The mid-tempo riffs, which often dance around power chord shapes on top of simple drum beats in a typical Black Metal manner are rife with tension and augmented by an occasional use of keyboards that appears to be informed by early Emperor, although the approach here is more restrictive, as the keyboards usually either just double the guitar melody or provide a harmonic extension to the underlying riffs. In spite of this fairly straightforward use, the keyboard lines intensify the music considerably whenever they make an appearance, floating above the rest of the music like cold winds on a battlefield.
While this is not a very flashy release and does not quite aspire to the heights of the most prominent Norwegian classics, "The Celtic Winter" should not be overlooked, as it offers an interpretation of Black Metal that stands on very firm ground, with strong songwriting throughout, fraught with tension and bone-jarring coldness...
American edition re-release features four never released before tracks, many never published before photos, a 20-page full-coloured booklet enriched with a new graphic design, and a replication of the original 4-page b/w booklet.

First remastered re-release of the fifth demo album by legendary Polish Black Metal band.
Graveland is definitely one of the fewer bands that promoted Eastern Black Metal in a sombre, savage and unique way back in the glorious 90s. Underneath the carefully-styled melodic aspirations and chantlike cadences of this music unfurls the hybrid of Epic Metal and aggressive atonal Hardcore that forms the internal pressure in the gently unfolding sound of Graveland. Their unification of simple Black Metal themes with classical structural principles have enabled this band to hold ground with their long and wandering compositions, dreamlike in their simple melody and poetic recombination.
Graveland's style started as Raw Black Metal. Lyrically, on the early works, Darken was inspired by Celtic beliefs. Demo was originally released in 1993, on cassette format. Many have called this "The most hateful Black Metal demo of all time!" It was then re-released in 1996 on CD format, and again in 1999. The demo is "inspired by 'Holy War' waged in Norwegian Black Metal Underground against Christianity".

First European re-release of the third full-length studio album by legedary American Punk Rock band.
Green Day couldn't have had a blockbuster without Nirvana, but "Dookie" wound up being nearly as revolutionary as "Nevermind", sending a wave of imitators up the charts and setting the tone for the mainstream Rock of the mid-'90s. Like "Nevermind", this was accidental success, the sound of a promising Underground band suddenly hitting its stride just as they got their first professional, big-budget, big-label production. Really, that's where the similarities end, since if Nirvana were indebted to the weirdness of Indie Rock, Green Day were straight-ahead Punk revivalists through and through. They were products of the Underground Pop scene kept alive by such protagonists as All, yet what they really loved was the original Punk, particularly such British Punkers as the Jam And Buzzcocks. On their first couple records, they showed promise, but with "Dookie", they delivered a record that found Billie Joe Armstrong bursting into full flower as a songwriter, spitting out melodic ravers that could have comfortably sat alongside Singles Going Steady, but infused with an ironic self-loathing popularized by Nirvana, whose clean sound on "Nevermind" is also emulated here. Where Nirvana had weight, Green Day are deliberately adolescent here, treating nearly everything as joke and having as much fun as snotty Punkers should. They demonstrate a bit of depth with "When I Come Around", but that just varies the pace slightly, since the key to this is their flippant, infectious attitude - something they maintain throughout the record, making "Dookie" a stellar piece of modern punk that many tried to emulate but nobody bettered.
The band's first collaboration with producer Rob Cavallo and its major record label debut, "Dookie" became a worldwide commercial success, peaking at number two on the US Billboard 200 and charting in seven countries. Along with The Offspring's Smash, "Dookie" has been credited for helping bring Punk Rock back into mainstream music culture.
"Dookie" was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America for the shipments of 10 million copies. 
The album has garnered considerable acclaim, from its release to present day, winning a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 1995 and being ranked No. 193 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The recording process was cut short when the album's master tapes were stolen. Rather than re-record that material, the group decided to start over.
A concept album dubbed a "Punk Rock Opera" by the band members, "American Idiot" follows the story of Jesus of Suburbia, a lower-middle-class American adolescent anti-hero. Through its plot, the album expresses the disillusionment and dissent of a generation that came of age in a period shaped by many tumultuous events like the Iraq War. The album was inspired by several musicals and the work of The Who.
American Idiot marked a career comeback for Green Day following a period of decreased success. It charted in 27 countries, peaking at number one in 19, and eventually sold 16 million copies worldwide. 
Its success inspired a Broadway musical and a planned feature film adaptation. It has been praised in the years following its release, appearing on several year-end and decade-end lists.
In 2005, "American Idiot" won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and was nominated in six other categories including Album of the Year. The fourth live album by legendary American Alternative/Punk Rock band.
Between 1994 and 2001, Green Day would visit the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios in London four times and record live sessions for Radio 1’s “Evening Show” and its popular DJ Steve Lamacq. This compilation documents those sessions, and includes many of the band’s hits including “When I Come Around”, “Basket Case”, “Brain Stew/Jaded” and “Minority”.
The first dates from June 1994, just after the band released "Dookie". Here, the trio sound loud, precise, and slightly polite; it's as if they're still getting used to operating on a larger stage. By the time they held their second BBC Session in November 1996, nearly a year after the release of "Insomniac", they sound rougher and wilder, particularly on the "Brain Stew/Jaded" performance. That attitude carries over to the third session, given in February 1998, a few months after "Nimrod" hit the stores. The 1998 set finds Green Day honing their precision attack, then the last session, given in August 2001, nearly a year after the release of "Warning", captures a band in the thick of rethinking their approach; they retain their power but sharpen their songwriting chops.
Taken together, the "BBC Sessions" emphasizes both the connective threads and creative evolution of Green Day during the first act of their career, which makes it a worthy historical document in addition to a first-rate live album.

Green Day's final album to be released by Reprise Records, it marks a slight change in style from the band's usual sound, incorporating Garage Rock elements similar to that of their tenth studio album, "¡Dos!".
The album was preceded by four Singles: "Father of All...", "Fire, Ready, Aim", "Oh Yeah!" and "Meet Me on the Roof".
"Father Of All Motherfuckers" debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 with 48,000 album-equivalent units, including 42,000 pure album sales. It is Green Day's 11th US top-10 album.  It also debuted atop the UK Albums Chart and Australian ARIA Albums Chart, among others.

"Nimrod." is noted for its musical diversity and experimentation, containing elements of Folk, Hardcore, Surf Rock, and Ska. Lyrical themes discussed include maturity, personal reflection, and fatherhood.
"Nimrod." debuted at number ten on the Billboard 200, selling 81,000 copies in its first week of release, and remained on the chart for 70 weeks. On March 16, 2000, "Nimrod." was certified double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of over two million copies. In Canada, the album peaked at number four, remaining on the chart for four weeks. On July 6, 1998, the record was certified double Platinum by the Canadian Recording Industry Association for shipments of over 200,000 copies. Russian edition of the sixth full-length album by russian Industrial Groove Modern Death Metal band.
“Lifelong Days” is basically overflowing with interesting song ideas. Grenouer even seems more than capable of shifting the band's entire personality within individual songs in order to make it sound more enthusiastic and interesting. There are noticeable influences from outright Death Metal in some moments while at other times, when the song requires it, they send out a Groovier almost Nu Metal vibe. This is quite obviously a heavier offering than “Computer Crime”. There are borderline brutal moments of double-bass kicks and a veritable abundance deep, heavy detuned guitar riffs. The album plays for 46 minutes, and every second is a joy to listen to. Even the production is fantastic. The band sounds absolutely massive with a good sizzle on the guitars to keep things firmly on the Metal side of the term "Nu Metal." If you dig really groovy modernized Metal with a hint of good Death Metal, you can go with Grenouer!!

Grenouer show good musical skills and experience and they don'€™t rush into things. War machine crawls down to peaceful villages and town and then tramples them down. The sound of the album is thick and intentionally monotonous, industrialized and memorable. "Presence With War" sounds solid enough and recommended for fans of Bolt Thrower or Benediction!
