The ninth full-length album by Belgian EBM/IDM/Industrial/Ambient band.
It was the band's first studio album in 10 years. Front 242 never allowed the commercial world to embrace them, pulling back from the brink in 1993 with a pair of radical, difficult albums. Since they undoubtedly had little to fear from the mainstream circa 2003, ten years after their last discernible studio album, the trio returned to their vision of detached but hooky Industrial angst with "Pulse".
Some CDs should have the mention "headphones compulsory" as a superficial and careless listening can make you miss the essential. "Pulse" is the perfect example because it needs the greatest attention to detect all the subtleties. For the opening, Front 242 invents a kind of electronic riff, one of those which asserts oneself, with a frantic rhythmic and near trance sounds.
The record begins with "SEQ666," a five-track suite of gritty, hi-res EBM instrumentals - slightly updated, with the help of Cubase, but clearly recognizable and pure joy to fans of mid-'80s classics like "Official Version". Following are a few tracks of thematic Pop ("Together", "Triple X Girlfriend") and an able evocation of the era when Front 242 were the kings of grim, catchy Teutonic angst ("Headhunter", "Tragedy [For You]"). The rest of the record is muddled, taken up by extended, multi-track suites that prove the trio's continued programming prowess but are also as inscrutable as much of the material on their most difficult record (1993's "05:22:09:12 Off").
Similar to the return of Industrial kingpins Ministry a few months earlier, though, "Pulse" sounds like the record Front 242 wanted to make, the type they could make only once the pressure was off. The 74 minutes are dense and varied and Front 242 hasn't chosen the easy way!

The debut full-length studio album by Danish Funeral Doom Metal band.
Influenced by bands such as Fields Of The Nephilim, Sisters Of Mercy, Celtic Frost, Burzum, Ved Buens Ende, Thergothon and Vangelis, the band came up with the album containing inspirations from those different genres and sounds. “Omniversal Existence” is a deep, personal and sublime piece of extreme doom. It is an introspective reflection, that is full of visceral emotion.
The run time makes it a very easy album to listen to in terms of flow and overall presentation, and these two things make it an album with a very high replay value. The overall feel of the album is, of course, depressing but more Gothic and melodic at times than dismal. 
Funeral Chasm have crafted an excellent debut, and any fan of this style of Doom should be just as pleasantly surprised.  This is definitely a band to watch in the coming years!

Throughout the album length, the band does not slide into a dim musical chatter and draggy copying of the famous DSBM bands. However, Funeral Oppression feels quite confident about its position among such bands as Shining, Woods of Desolation, Austere, Thy Light, etc.

G3 is a legendary concert tour organized by guitarist Joe Satriani, that brings together three guitar virtuosos for solo sets and collaborative jams, featuring him alongside two other guitarists.
Since its inception in 1995, with the first tour in 1996 featuring Satriani, Steve Vai (Satriani's former student), and Eric Johnson, G3 has toured most years and has featured many guitarists, including Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Robert Fripp, Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse, Steve Lukather, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Adrian Legg, Phil Collen and many other special guests, including Tony MacAlpine, Johnny Hiland, Keith More, Chris Duarte, Andy Timmons, Neal Schon, Gary Hoey, Brian May, Billy Gibbons, Johnny A, George Lynch, Patrick Rondat, Guthrie Govan, Alejandro Silva, and Eric Sardinas.
Three DVDs from the tours were released to date: "G3: Live In Concert" (1997) with Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai, "G3: Live In Denver" (2004) with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, and "G3: Live In Tokyo" (2005) with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and John Petrucci.
"G3: Live In Tokyo" was recorded at the Tokyo International Forum on May 8, 2005, during the 2005 G3 tour, featuring Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci. Along with the DVD, a Double CD album was released.
"G3" is a significant event in Rock guitar world, showcasing technical mastery and creative collaboration, inspiring guitarists globally.

The third full-length album by Fusion/Neo-classical/Progressive Death Metal project of Italian guitarist Gabriele Pala.
A fully instrumental album, apart from the vocals on the bonus track. There are lots of different bits, from lots of different genres.
Gabriele Pala is obviously a very talented musician, especially on the guitar. Taking inspiration from the classic Death Metal bands of the early 90s like Atheist, Cynic, Death and Pestilence, Gabriele Pala began Goldenseed project to experiment with everything not feasible by a band made of humans, in terms of forcefully exaggerated arrangements, speed and complexity. Thanks to the increasing popularity of social networks, Gabriele could get in touch with a lot of musicians around the world and collaborate with them. He appears as guest for some lead work in the debut album of the American band Gone In April, thanks to Chicco Parisi Lalonde (ex- Sadist).
2011 was a really productive year. The time has come to give life to a new Goldenseed episode, a more guitar-centric work entitled “The War Is In My Mind”. Album makes kaleidoscope of styles: Fusion, Progressive, Metal and much more that the guitarist Gabriele Pala mixes in an job accessible despite the melodic and structural complexity.
The last song in album featured guest appearance on vocals by Stian "Culto" Johansen (ex- Mayhem, Con Anima, Shadow Dancers, etc.)!

Second full-length album by Norwegian Power/Speed Metal band.
Norway normally stands for Black Metal of the worst kind. But now and then, more melodic Metal bands from such coutries, where the melodic Metal is active, but noone doesn´t pay attention to it, find a way to present their music. Gaia Epicus have belonged to the scene for years, to the American-German-mix Power Metal scene.
The album consists of 10 Power Metal killer tracks, very heavy and aggressive, but without any hyper-super-fast solos, but with powered, phat doublebasses and the typical guitars.
The choruses bore into your ears. Singer Thomas C. Hansen very varies with his self-containied voice. You nearly could think that there are five different vocalists singing! Very good! Even female vocals can be heard in „Be thy Cross My Victory“. The choirs partly are devastating and when you listen to them, your faceual muscles automatically get out of shape!
Tight and powerful, as well as speedy, not only the music, but also the production! Gaia Epicus are characterized by heaviness and speed!
This second output after the release of the debut album “Satrap” owns a large potential!!
Strongly recommended for fans of Helloween and Gamma Ray!!!
