The fourth full-length studio album by cult Italian Heavy Metal band.
Formed back in 1978, Vanexa based their style on British Metal sounds, typical of the NWOBHM. Band was a part of the New Wave of Italian Heavy Metal bands (like Vanadium, Sabotage and Strana Officina), which were formed in Italy in late 70s - early 80s.
Band participated as the headliner at Rock in a Hard Place Festival in Certaldo (Florence), on May 21, 1983. Following the release of three studio albums between 1983 and 1994, they have been inexplicably silent until the Single “Too Heavy To Fly”, which was released in 2015.
What we can get on “Too Heavy To Fly” album of 2016, is a resurgence of that Classic Metal sound, where the movement first captivated the world with this very vital scene. Fans of the band and the Classic sound will find things to their liking here. This could very easily be material composed in the early 1980s!
The record features guest appearance of Ken Hensley (ex- Uriah Heep) on keyboards.
