The debut full-length studio album by legendary American Pop singer.
After having established herself as a singer in downtown New York City, Madonna was signed by Sire Records' president Seymour Stein, due to the club success of her debut Single, "Everybody" (1982). She became the sole writer for most of the album's tracks, and chose Reggie Lucas as its primary producer. Unhappy with Lucas's production outputs, Madonna invited John "Jellybean" Benitez to complete the album, who remixed three tracks and produced "Holiday".
To promote the album, Madonna performed one-off gigs in clubs and on television in the United States and United Kingdom throughout 1983 and 1984, followed by The Virgin Tour in 1985. Five singles were released, including the international top-ten hits "Holiday", "Lucky Star", and "Borderline".
"Madonna" peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200, and was certified five-times Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipment of five million copies across the United States. It reached the top 10 of the charts in Australia, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. The album was ranked 5 on Entertainment Weekly's list of the "Top 100 Best Albums of Past 25 Years" in 2008. The album has been credited for setting the standard of Dance-Pop for decades afterward, and for pointing the direction for numerous female artists of the 1980s.

"True Blue" is the album where Madonna truly became superstar - the endlessly ambitious, fearlessly provocative entertainer who knew how to outrage, spark debates, get good reviews, and make good music while she's at it.
What's brilliant about "True Blue" is that she does both here, using the music to hook in critics just as she's baiting a mass audience with such masterstrokes as "Papa Don't Preach", where she defiantly states she's keeping her baby. Her real trick here, however, is transcending her status as a Dance-Pop diva by consciously recalling classic girl group Pop ("True Blue", "Jimmy Jimmy") to snag the critics, while deepening the dance grooves ("Open Your Heart", "Where's the Party"), touching on Latin rhythms ("La Isla Bonita"), making a plea for world peace ("Love Makes the World Go Round"), and delivering a tremendous ballad that rewrites the rules of adult contemporary crossover ("Live to Tell").
It's even harder to have the entire album play as an organic, cohesive work. Certainly, there's some calculation behind the entire thing, but what matters is the end result, one of the great Dance-Pop albums, a record that demonstrates Madonna's true skills as a songwriter, record-maker, provocateur, and entertainer through its wide reach, accomplishment, and sheer sense of fun.
"True Blue" was an immediate global success, reaching number one in then record-breaking 28 countries across the world, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom and United States. It spent 34 consecutive weeks at the top of the European Top 100 Albums chart, longer than any other album in history. It became the world's top-selling album of 1986, as well as the best-selling album of the 1980s by a female artist. With estimated sales of over 25 million copies worldwide, "True Blue" remains one of the best-selling albums of all time. All five singles released from the album reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, with "Live to Tell", "Papa Don't Preach", and "Open Your Heart" peaking at number one.
"True Blue" is credited as being the album which established Madonna's position as the biggest female artist of the 1980s, rivaling male musicians like Michael Jackson and Prince. The album's singles and their accompanying music videos have sparked debates among scholars and social groups. She became the first female artist to receive the Video Vanguard Award at the 1986 MTV Video Music Awards in recognition of her impact on popular culture. The album also gave her first appearance on the Guinness Book of World Records.

The first soundtrack album by legendary American Pop singer.
It was released to promote the film of the same name, "Who's That Girl". The album also contains songs by her label mates Scritti Politti, Duncan Faure, Club Nouveau, Coati Mundi and Michael Davidson. The soundtrack is credited as a Madonna album, despite her only performing four of the nine tracks on the album.
Three of the Madonna tracks were released as Singles. The title track became her sixth number-one Single on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first artist to accumulate six number-one Singles in the 1980s, and the first female performer to get that many number-ones as a solo act. "Causing a Commotion" was released as the second Single, and reached number two on the Hot 100. "The Look of Love" was a European market-only release, reaching the top 10 in the United Kingdom. Another track, "Turn It Up" was a promotional release in the United States, reaching number 15 on the dance charts. "Who's That Girl" received a further promotion from the successful Who's That Girl World Tour.
Although, after its release, the "Who's That Girl" soundtrack received a mostly negative response from critics, it was a commercial success, reaching the top 10 of the album charts of the United States, Austria, Canada, France, New Zealand, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, while topping the charts of Germany, and the European Album chart. The album went on to sell 6 million copies worldwide.

The first compilation album of remixes by legendary American Pop singer.
The album contains remixes of tracks from her first three studio albums, "Madonna" (1983), "Like A Virgin" (1984) and "True Blue" (1986), and a new track, "Spotlight".
In the 1980s, remixing was still a new concept. The mixes on "You Can Dance" exhibited a number of typical mixing techniques. Instrumental passages were lengthened to increase the time for dancing and vocal phrases were repeated and subjected to multiple echoes. The album cover denoted Madonna's continuous fascination with Hispanic culture.
After its release, "You Can Dance" received generally positive reviews from critics, some of whom noted how the already known songs appeared to them in a complete new structure, calling it an essential album to be played at parties. "You Can Dance" was a commercial success, earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for shipment of a million copies, and reaching the top twenty of the Billboard 200. It reached the top ten of the album charts of France, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
It went on to sell five million copies worldwide, making it the second best-selling remix album of all time, behind only "Blood On The Dance Floor" of Michael Jackson. "Spotlight" was the only commercial Single released from the album, exclusively in Japan. However, the song was released promotionally in the United States, and due to radio play, the song peaked at number 32 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart. "You Can Dance" has been credited for setting the standard with remix albums afterward, both in terms of concept and commercial success on record charts.

The debut full-length studio album by cult American Heavy Metal band.
Formed in 1981, Melice are best known for their appearance on the first "Metal Massacre" compilation and the release of a pair of albums on Atlantic Records. Their heavily-European-influenced style elicited comparisons to Judas Priest.
After the initial Malice demo caused a stir and garnered label interest from Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records, "Captive of Light" and "Kick You Down" from the demo were both selected to appear on "Metal Massacre I" alongside tracks by Metallica, Ratt, Steeler and others. Malice made their Los Angeles live debut in November 1982 at the Troubadour, headlining a bill with Metallica and Pandemonium as opening acts. Other memorable Los Angeles shows included opening up for then new major label signees Armored Saint at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, California, in early 1984.
Adding drummer Cliff Carothers, formerly with the bands Snow and Assassin, Malice set about recording new demos with producer Michael Wagener and soon found themselves in the midst of a label bidding war. Eventually, the band signed with Atlantic Records in mid 1984 and released their debut album, "In The Beginning...", in 1985. It consisted of songs the band had cut with Wagener and material recorded with Ashley Howe producing.
If you like Judas Priest during their "Screaming For Vengeance" & "Defenders Of The Faith" period, and love traditional Heavy Metal in general, than you need this album desperately!

The fourth full-length studio album by cult British Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band.
In the wake of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal explosion of the early '80s, several bands attempted to blend in with the movement even though they formed long after such bands as Iron Maiden and Def Leppard began to enjoy success, one such band being a Hard Rockin' trio of brothers, the Mama's Boys. The trio hailed from Northern Ireland and consisted of Pat McManus (guitar, vocals), John McManus (bass), and Tommy McManus (drums). Later in their career they became a four-piece, adding Rick Chase on vocals in 1986, who in turn was replaced by Keith Murrell in 1987 due to Rick's ill health. Keith was later replaced with Connor McKeon in 1989 who was subsequently replaced with Mike Wilson in 1990.
Mama's Boys recorded their first self-funded album, "Official Album" (re-released in 1981 as "Official Bootleg") in 1980 in only four hours. In 1981, they were invited to support Hawkwind on their UK tour. They recorded and self-financed their second album, entitled "Plug It In", in 1982, and achieved a Hit Single in Ireland with the most Pop-oriented song on the album, "Needle in the Groove". The third album, "Turn It Up", was released in 1983. The same year they toured with Thin Lizzy on that band's farewell tour, played at the Reading Rock Festival and signed a worldwide record deal with Jive Records.
Their fourth album, self-titled "Mama’s Boys", was their first album released on Jive, and contained some songs previously released on early albums but completely re-recorded with a few new songs. One of the new songs, a cover of Slade's "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", was released as a Single and reached number 54 in the American charts. The video for the song got a lot of airplay on MTV and helped the band to become known in the US, which they toured in 1984. Coincidentally, the American Heavy Metal band Quiet Riot also released their cover version of the song at the same time as Mama's Boys, but Quiet Riot's version gained more airplay.
1985's "Power And Passion" album broke into the Billboard top 100 in the US and the band toured in the US, Europe, and Japan. During the European leg of the tour, Tommy had a relapse of leukaemia which he had been treated for as a child and a replacement drummer Jimmy DeGrasso was brought in to complete the tour. The recovering Tommy re-joined the tour in Ireland, but had to be rushed back to hospital after another relapse.
In 1987, former Airrace vocalist Keith Murrell was brought in after Rick Chase started having trouble with his vocal cords, and they recorded the album "Growing Up The Hard Way". Murrell left in 1988 to join Cliff Richard as a backing singer. Connor McKeon replaced Keith in 1989, but this was short-lived, and he was replaced by Mike Wilson.
In 1990, with a new vocalist, Mike Wilson, and under new management, Mama's Boys moved their base to the UK. The live album, "Live Tonite", was released in 1991 and the band toured extensively in Europe. In 1992, the band released "Relativity" album. While on tour in Italy in 1993, Tommy became ill again and the tour had to be cancelled.
In 1994, Tommy McManus passed away after a long battle with leukaemia. Tommy underwent a bone marrow transplant, but he did not survive. His brothers were devastated, and Mama's Boys did not continue.
On the first anniversary of Tommy's death, John composed a traditional lament on the low whistle for his brother, and this led to himself and Pat revisiting their traditional Irish music roots and forming a Celtic/New Age band called Celtus.
In 2003, Pat McManus joined with Irish Rock band Indian for two albums and live shows. After this he joined the Painkillers for a short while, and then formed "Pat McManus and High Voltage" which in 2007 became the Pat McManus Band (with Marty McDermott on bass and Paul Faloon on drums). The Pat McManus Band released "Tattooed In Blue" in 2018, and an acoustic guitar based album called "Rewind" in 2019, alongside a European tour.
“This album is dedicated to the memory of our beloved sister Valerie McManus who we miss very much”.

"Smells Like Children" is a second full-lenght album by band Marilyn Manson. Various contributions by engineer and Skinny Puppy producer Dave Ogilvie, Nine Inch Nails keyboardist Charlie Clouser and new material by the band resulted in an eclectic and unusual combination of material. The album was produced by Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson and represents an era of the band full of drugs, abuses, tours, sound experimentations and is also a reference to the movie “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. All the ideas and tracks for this EP were created and composed during the “Portrait of an American Family tour” and is also the first Marilyn Manson work that features Ginger Fish on drums. Marilyn Manson referred to this album as "An album that looks like an album for children that is not for children". On the bottom edge of the disc you can see the words "Keep this and all drugs away from small children". A number of covers are included on the album, most famous of which is the band's cover of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", which helped to skyrocket the band into the mainstream. The other covers on the album are the Patti Smith song "Rock N Roll Nigger" and Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You". Manson's recording of "I Put a Spell on You" was also featured on the soundtrack for the David Lynch film “Lost Highway”.
The album has sold over 1.3 million copies in the U.S.

The second re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary American Death/Thrash Metal band.
Even though this was the first official full-length recorded by Paul Speckmann, backed up by the soon-to-be cult line-up of former Death Strike comrade Chris Mittleburn on guitar and Bill Schmidt on drums, Master were already a revered name in the underground.
Master's first album was originally recorded in 1985 for Combat Recordings, but eventually shelved. In 1990, the album was first re-recorded in Chicago (later released by Hammerheart Records) but Nuclear Blast didn't approve this recording and had the band record the album again at Morrisound Studios. As it turned out, the third recording (which was eventually released as "Speckmann Project") was also not approved by Nuclear Blast and the Chicago recording was remixed instead by Scott Burns.
Packed with songs still legendary to this day (“Pay To Die”, “Funeral Bitch” or the instrumental “Terrorizer”) and a storming rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Children Of The Grave”, Master's self-titled album is still one of Death Metal "desert island" albums. "Mangled Dehumanization", "Pay To Die", "Re-entry And Destruction" and "The Truth" are songs originally written by Death Strike (pre-Master).
Album re-edited with the original mix, including "Re-Entry And Destruction" as a bonus.
Limited to 500 copies, remastered re-release housed in luxurious digibook with metallic hot foil stamping.

The seventh full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
With "Youthanasia", Dave Mustaine began moving Megadeth away from its Thrash roots, incorporating synthesizers into their sound and writing subtle, textured songs. The album features 12 tracks with accessible song structures, specifically aimed for radio airplay. The lyrics were also altered, in order to make the music more inclusive for wider audience. These changes were met with mixed opinions from music critics, who noted the band moving away from their Thrash Metal roots.
This is the last Megadeth studio album to feature drummer Nick Menza. It is also the first and so far only album where Vic Rattlehead does not appear at all in any tangible form, save for a limited edition collectible card advertising the Megadeth comic distributed by Chaos! Comics, which shows Vic in Hell reading a scroll.
The album debuted at #10 on Billboard Top 200 chart and was certified Platinum in 1998 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping one million copies in the United States. The first 500000 copies of "Cryptic Writings" in the U.S. were released with silver background album cover. Two years after its original release, the album sold 850000 copies in the United States and won widespread praise from Rock radio programmers. The song "Trust" was nominated for a "Best Metal Performance" at the 1998 Grammy Awards and became the band's highest charting song on the Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.

The fourteenth Single by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
Released in UK only, it is the fourth Single from the band's fifth full-length studio album, "Countdown to Extinction".
The song, written by Dave Mustaine, deals with the theme of a failed suicide attempt. The song has often been thought to promote suicide, what is incorrectly, according to Mustaine: "This is a song about how many times I tried to kill myself and just couldn't get the fucking job done. This is "Skin O'My Teeth"! That's about people who want to end it and just can't get it together. You know, they cut their wrist; it's just not deep enough. Or they decide to get hit by a car and it just breaks their leg or something. This song in no way condones suicide. Life sucks, that's why people get fat and lazy; this is "Skin O' My Teeth".
The release also includes the previously unavailable tracks "Holy Wars (General Schwarzkopf Mix)" and a live version of "High Speed Dirt".
The Passes sticker sheet for the Megadeth game is missed.
