Second European re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary German Power/Speed Metal band.
Arguably a blueprint for the Power/Speed Metal scene as a whole, "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I" was a strong album that quite obviously deserves the classic title. Helloween finally got a real singer into the band, letting former vocalist Kai Hansen concentrate more on his guitar playing. Michael Kiske was young and quite adept at hitting the notes that are sure to irritate your household pets. "Keeper" also stepped a bit away from the more Thrashy vibe of "Walls Of Jericho", putting forth a cleaner, slicker version of Helloween. Much can be said about the melodic and exciting dual leads of Hansen and Michael Weikath, especially in "I'm Alive" and "Twilight of the Gods". Even on the pseudo-balladry of "A Tale That Wasn't Right", Helloween is able to avoid schlock cliche. And their signature track "Future World" aptly captures everything Helloween is about: a certain optimism, superbly catchy songwriting and a grand epic feeling. Speaking of epics, "Halloween" isn't quite up to the level of other epic Helloween songs and is a bit of a bear to wade through.
The band originally planned to release "Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part I" and "Part II" as a double album, but their record label refused, insisting that the albums be released separately.
"Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I" shows Helloween at their creative peak and is more necessary in your collection than any current Power Metal album!!

The third full-length studio album by legendary German Power/Speed Metal band.
The album capitalized on the success of “Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I” and picks up where it left off. The magic that made "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part I", a triumph of epic proportions, was still very much in the air come time for "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part II". What was originally intended to be a double album had to be split in two at the record company’s request, so "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part II" was recorded later and came out in 1988. Gladly, "Part II" a much longer album than "Part I", clocking in with an extra fifteen minutes or so of music.
"Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part II" is a very worthy follow up to the first album of the pair, as well as one of the best albums of 1988. Building upon the Power Metal blueprint (still known as Speed Metal by most in 1988), "Keeper II" offered listeners classy Metal with a strong sense of humor, a great selling point in a genre that has long taken itself far too seriously for its existence. The band still brandished their polished speed sound on songs like "Eagle Fly Free" as well as anthemic tunes like "I Want Out", "Save Us" or the powerful "We Got the Right". And naturally the band finished out the saga with the thirteen minute-plus epic "Keeper of the Seven Keys", a multilayered and far ranging song that ended the two album theme.
"Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part II" is a phenomenal album that was altogether fun, flawlessly played and well written. The album went Gold in Germany. Success bloomed all over Europe, Asia and even the United States.
In every sense of the word, this album is a musthave for every Metalhead in the world!!

The seventeenth full-length studio album by legendary German Power/Speed Metal band.
The stalwart German outfit's "My God-Given Right" is a Power Metal cornucopia spilling over with commercial-grade sweets and cheeses. Bolstered by the dizzying guitar work of Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner, the 15-track set has some satisfying moments, especially early on with the one-two punch of "Heroes" and "Battles Won", both of which fit nicely into the Helloween canon where Speed Metal precision meets rich, melodic choruses tailor-made for unison fist pumping.
Vocalist Andi Deris more than holds his own throughout, delivering often inane lyrics like "We wanna stay crazy, fresh as a daisy" with gusto, in a voice that falls somewhere between former Helloween frontman Michael Kiske and head Scorpion Klaus Meine.
"My God-Given Right" marks the first time the band releases five studio albums with the same line-up. Also it's band's seventh consecutive album produced by Charlie Bauerfeind, and their first album released under the label Nuclear Blast since 2003's "Rabbit Don't Come Easy". The album is considered by the band as a "back to the roots" album, while still keeping some modern elements.
Tracks like the soaring "Creatures in Heaven", the menacing "Swing of the Fallen World", and the aforementioned "Heroes" prove that, 30 years into their career, Helloween are still largely unequaled purveyors and unabashed champions of "cheese-tastic" Power Metal hymns!!

Remastered re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary German Speed/Power Metal band.
The only full-length album featuring Kai Hansen as lead vocalist until 2021's "Helloween", although he would continue to act as guitarist on the two following albums.
Helloween followed up their very popular self-titled mini-LP with 1986's even more accomplished "Walls Of Jericho", that saw the quartet from Hamburg outperforming expectations and quickly defining their sonic identity.
The instrumental title track soon gives way to amazingly mature and complex compositions like "Ride the Sky", "Phantoms of Death", and the awesome "How Many Tears". And although these were heavily reliant on Iron Maiden for inspiration, it was Helloween's Speed Metal innovations that clearly helped make the songs so special and influential for future bands. Even the album's lyrically challenged, somewhat one-dimensional moments ("Warrior", "Metal Invaders") usually succeed, thanks to the band's uncontainable energy. On the downside, the album continued to expose Kai Hansen's limitations as a singer, but the band would soon remedy this disadvantage by bringing on teenage phenom, Michael Kiske, as lead vocalist.
While their "Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Part 1 & 2" albums are their peak, "Walls Of Jericho" made them all possible. Kai Hansen isn't Kiske, Halford, or Dickinson, but he had passion for the genre called Metal!

The debut full-length album by russian Thrash Metal band.
Although this is Hellraiser's first album, it's easy to tell that this 3-piece band have been playing music for quite a while. The production is very clear, but sounds somewhat distant. Each element is very easy to pick out though, and work well together, even with the many complex arrangements offered on the album. The main influence here is defenitely Metallica, but the influence seems to be mostly in sound and not composition. There are only 7 songs on this LP, but each is filled to the brim with well thought out riffs and transitions. The vocals arent bad, and thankfully, he doesnt try to ape Hetfield very much.
If you like Xentrix's "Shattered Existence" but hated the vocals, then you'll probably enjoy "We'll Bury You". If for nothing else, it's a great piece of Metal history, and shows a different side of Russian Metal than Master provides. No costumes, no soaring falsettos, just pure Thrash Metal from the Eastern Bloc!

HORTUS ANIMAE "Piove Sangue - Live In Banská Bystrica" /Ltd. LP; Live/
The first live album by Italian Avant-garde Gothic Black Metal band.
“Piove Sangue” is a very special album, that celebrates the twenty-year anniversary of the Italian Extreme Metal pioneers, twenty years since the release of their first demo tape "An Abode For Spirit And Flesh" in 1998.
It was recorded live at Banská Bystrica (Slovakia), on the last date of the Total Metal Over Europe Tour, Pt. 2, which the band held with legendary German Thrashers Necronomicon, whose vocalist, Volker "Freddy" Fredrich, appeared on stage with Hortus Animae for a raging version of Slayer’s “Raining Blood” (from which the album also takes its title, in Italian).
This live highlights a tight band in great musical shape; it is an excellent overview of the band's history, and what you can expect when you see them live.
A must for fans of Enslaved, early Opeth, Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, as well as for all the fans of finest Extreme Metal!!
LP comes with download card for the full album + bonus track "Aqualung".

The third official full-length studio album by French Experimental Electronic/Baroque/Classical/Operatic/Folk/Jazz/Noise/Black/Death/Progresive Metal/Breakcore project of Gautier Serre.
This is an album that’s as insane as the album cover. This album is an absolute mind-bending mix of Extreme Metal, Noise, Classical, and Experimental craziness. Almost any musical genre you can name is represented on this album somewhere. This includes Opera, Progressive Metal, Drum & Bass, Electronica, musical influences from various countries and cultures, Technical Metal, Jazz, Noisecore, Grindcore, Black Metal, Death Metal, Trip Hop, Djent, and many, many more. A multitude of guest musicians and vocalists appear across the songs (including the singer of Cattle Decapitation), helping to realize the main artist and songwriter’s far-reaching vision of what his music should sound like.
French musician Gautier Serre (aka Igorrr) titled one of his releases Baroquecore, and while his work does include mutilated breakbeats and majestic harpsichord played at jackhammer speed, those are only a fraction of the elements incorporated into his impossibly complex and eclectic compositions. He finds common ground between the intensity of Metal and Opera, with impassioned screaming, bludgeoning Grindcore blast beats, and jagged guitar riffs coexisting with graceful arias. There's also a significant amount of acoustic instrumentation drawn from various Eastern European musical traditions, including ravishing violin, festive horns, and jaunty accordions, as well as Balkan choral vocals. Serre acknowledges Gypsy ensemble Taraf de Haïdouks as an influence, along with Cannibal Corpse and Aphex Twin, among many others.
Over a dozen guest musicians and singers contribute their talents, including members of Mayhem, Cattle Decapitation, Secret Chiefs 3, and Pryapisme, as well as operatic vocalists Laurent Lunoir and Laure Le Prunenec.
Serre's fusion of acoustic and electronic instruments is tighter and more refined than ever, and while "Savage Sinusoid" sounds unmistakably like an Igorrr album, he hasn't come close to sounding predictable yet. Serre has continually outdone himself with each successive Igorrr release, and this is no different -- it's even more exciting and confounding than 2012's "Hallelujah" (which included many of the same musicians) and 2014's "Maigre" EP (with Ruby My Dear).
These songs are master crafted examples of how to create music that crosses boundaries with ease, and the album shows a healthy disdain for normal musical conventions. Don’t be fooled by the music’s unexpected detours, though; everything here has been meticulously examined so that everything is in the right place at the right time for maximum effect. Nothing here has been improvised or left to chance. It all comes together extremely well and works a treat. This is only possible due to the talents of the man behind the music.
Although undoubtedly a full-on mash-up of insanity and diverse tastes, the fact is that "Savage Sinusoid" is done so very well that the unusual and frequently unpredictable journey it takes you on is definitely one that’s worth taking. It’s hideously impressive! And, if you can handle its eclectic nature, hideously enjoyable. This is challenging music for people that are not afraid to stray beyond the average. "Savage Sinusoid" is a magnificent, surreal, sumptuous joy!!

The second re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary American Brutal Death Metal band.
After participating in the initial wave of innovation in New York Death Metal in the late '80s and early '90s, Immolation continued to develop in a harmonically dense, technical direction. On their fourth album, they find a late career voice.
While time signatures remain elusive and chord voicing remain convoluted, the total number of riffs per song is significantly reduced. While individual parts have more breathing room, the overall effect is significantly more suffocating. Lurching, percussive passages intimidate and horrify, and dissonant chords create a thick sonic fog. The combination of dissonance, doomy passages, and bizarre guitar techniques treads into the same otherworldly territory Gorguts mapped out on 1998's "Obscura".
The most remarkable thing about "Close To A World Below" is the capacity for specific melodic and rhythmic motifs to rise out of the chaos and grab the listener. Immolation's intuition remains grounded in themes that easily touch subconscious desires for melodic resolution and rhythmic satisfaction.
While Immolation were New York Death Metal innovators during the late '80s and early '90s, they also released one of the most profound and creative death metal albums of the 2000s, giving a new voice to a genre deluged with cookie-cutter clones!

The second re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary American Brutal Death Metal band.
Released through Metal Blade Records, after the band was dropped from Roadrunner Records, this is the last album to feature drummer Craig Smilowski; Alex Hernandez joined the band on their next album.
In the five years between their debut album and "Here In After", Immolation refined their creative vision into something more than a blend of their influences. This is an album of pure Death Metal, while earlier efforts still contained significant components of the Thrash Metal sound of the 1980s. The bending, winding pinch harmonic riffs that characterized "Dawn Of Possession" are still abundant, but songs are now much more complex and harmonically dense. Rather than defining melody through single-string tremolo-picking, Immolation prefer a more rhythmic sense of composition. Dissonant chords are repeatedly used as emphasis over blast-beats, before everything slows to a gloomy crawl. A tendency toward syncopation and off-kilter drumming gives Immolation's sound an unsettling, wavering feel that can almost be described as "funky" (in the darkest sense of the word). The thick chord voicing favoured by guitarist Bob Vigna are atonal in a way, likely influenced by Voivod's Piggy d'Amour.
While the playing on this release is extremely technical, it does not have the mechanical precision of other Death Metal bands. Bizarre time signatures and finger gymnastics give the impression of a decrepit ghost ship in murky, choppy waters rather than a robotic assassin. While song structures tend to meander, a clear narrative emerges through the repetition and variation of themes. "Here In After" is a complicated stew with plenty of flavours, yet each has a role to play. This album represents the invention of a new system of Death Metal composition that, while not as common as other iterations of the genre, is among the most engaging.
The influence of Immolation is understated, yet it can be clearly heard in the discordance of bands like Gorguts. "Here In After" is a milestone in Immolation's long career and represents a foundational work of harmony in Death Metal!
Specially remastered for vinyl, released with 400g heavy cardboard spine sleeve, 180 g black vinyl includes 60x60 cm two-sided poster.

The tenth full-length studio album by legendary Norwegian Black Metal band.
The first Immortal album featuring only Demonaz as a member of the band.
While Abbath was able to leave Immortal after the famously way-too-long-and-drawn-out dissolution of the band to quickly find success on his own, his former partner from the cold and distant lands of Blashyrkh has had a rougher time climbing to the peak of the snowcapped mountains. In fact, Demonaz has enjoyed only a small fraction of the limelight since sailing off without his once long-standing counterpart. While legally maintaining the rights to the use of the name "Immortal" for some time now, Demonaz hasn't really made the most of the moniker. That, however, changes now with "War Against All". This is a record that is undoubtedly worthy of the Immortal brand. This is the Immortal record we were waiting for. Eight really solid songs that unabashedly emulate the glory days of the band. "War Against All" is a must-have for any Immortal fan!

This is a record that is undoubtedly worthy of the Immortal brand. This is the Immortal record we were waiting for. Eight really solid songs that unabashedly emulate the glory days of the band. "War Against All" is a must-have for any Immortal fan!

"Dance Of Death" is probably the most controversial album of Iron Maiden so far, as well as the most Progressive and most heavy album of Iron Maiden ever.
When picking this album up, we could not help but notice the artwork. And art is not so good. Iron Maiden hired David Patchett to create the art with CGI. Apparently, his time cost the band enough money; the band stopped him because they thought the work was good enough as is, which the artist claimed was still in its prototype stages. The artwork would be notorious for its epic fail among the Metal community and placed on some worst artwork lists of Metal fans. Good thing this album is not judged solely on its cover, because “Dance of Death” is one of the better Iron Maiden albums!
"Dance Of Death" recalls prime Iron Maiden but with renewed vigor. Iron Maiden recorded the album the old-fashioned way: on analog tape, which adds a layer of warmth to the LP. "Dance Of Death" never sounds sterile or processed, unlike so many other Hard Rock and Metal bands recording in the digital age. But the record clocks in at nearly 70 minutes, making it somewhat long and demanding. Still, that’s a relatively small complaint for such a strong album. They still sound like they did in the 80's! Pure brilliance. One thing extremely unique on the album is that it has a great deal of orchestration and an almost Arabic-style vibe too, especially in "No More Lies" and "Dance Of Death". The rhythm guitar really tuned down heavy on the song "Montsegur". There were other powerful songs such as "Wildest Dreams", "Rainmaker", and the graceful epic "Paschendale". "Journeyman" is a 7-minute song with an acoustic, and it is real cool.
This album is not by any means a concept album, but the central theme of Death is recurrent in one form or another. This is their second studio release since the return of vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith in 1999. The album features the band's first ever fully acoustic track, "Journeyman", as well as their only song co-written by drummer Nicko McBrain, "New Frontier". The album was recorded on magnetic (analogue) tape.
Aside from the artwork, the 13th album by Iron Maiden is still a solid listen. After listening to “Brave New World” though, this album had to top the most successful album since 1988. Although it does not succeed in usurping that magnum opus, Iron Maiden proved that they still had a lot of energy left to write good music.
All in all, "Dance Of Death" is a pretty excellent Iron Maiden album. Many older fans will complain that there is nothing really new and ground-breaking here, but the band cannot release a "Piece Of Mind" or a "Powerslave" every time they put an album out on the market. "With Dance Of Death", they have done a brilliant Metal album that will still please some of the older generations, while introducing the newer fans to the world of Iron Maiden's great music in an even better way than "Brave New World" had already done.

First time on black vinyl, remastered re-release of the eighth full-length live album by the legendary British Heavy Metal band.
Recorded at Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany on 24 November 2003, during the Dance of Death World Tour (2003–2004), "Death On The Road" deviates little from Iron Maiden's countless other live shows. While blissfully heavy on the band's excellent - and suitably theatrical - new material, longtime fans do not need any more live versions of "Number of the Beast", "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "Run to the Hills", or "The Trooper". All that said, Iron Maiden do not disappoint, laying to waste any notions that they can't hold themselves to the performance standards of their younger days.
Even Bruce Dickinson, despite a voice that's now often more choked than feral, can barely keep himself from leaping into the crowd, and it's that kind of enthusiasm that makes each and every live release - and there are a lot of them - worthwhile to some degree!

The fifth official re-release of the second full-length album by the legendary British Heavy Metal band.
The album was their first with guitarist Adrian Smith and their last with vocalist Paul Di'Anno, who was sacked after problems with his stage performance, arose due to his alcohol and cocaine use.
This sophomore Iron Maiden's effort is mostly composed of pre-existing material that had been left off the debut, with just a few new additions. It's certainly a better-sounding release than the debut, with new producer Martin Birch beefing up the band's studio presence and lending their instrumental attack a newfound clarity that throws their considerable skills into sharp relief. In fact, this helps mask the fact that the songwriting is not quite as strong overall as it was on the debut. But the teaming of new guitarist Adrian Smith with Dave Murray forms the most formidable twin-guitar attack in Heavy Metal, outside of Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing. Plus, bassist Steve Harris' busy, driving lines are now consistently audible in the mix. The resulting instrumental fireworks are what truly make the album tick. That said, there is a much smaller percentage of catalog standards here than on the previous album.
"Wrathchild" is the standout, re-recorded here with Smith on guitar from an earlier version for the "Metal For Muthas" compilation. There is a fair bit of unity in the lyrical themes, with a parade of murderers, fugitives, and characters otherwise torn from their roots. "Murders in the Rue Morgue" is a first-person retelling of the Poe short story, and the title track is another highlight, with Paul Di'Anno turning in an especially menacing performance. The single "Purgatory" has a catchy singalong chorus and a tempo worthy of Motörhead, while "Twilight Zone" (not included on the U.K. issue, but added to subsequent releases) scraped the bottom of the British charts. The biggest departure here is the almost Supertramp-like Prog-Pop of "Prodigal Son," a melodic, uptempo offering with an arrangement based around acoustic guitars.
Despite some inconsistency in the material, "Killers" is clearly the work of a top-notch ensemble, and in order to take the next step forward, their musical ambitions were clearly going to require a vocalist as technically accomplished as the band. It's worth noting that some Maiden fans actually prefer the rawness of the Di'Anno years to the polish of the Bruce Dickinson era (though, it should also be noted, they're in the minority).
"Killers" is a monumental record, real Heavy Metal with powerful lyrics, real grit, a superb urban atmosphere, genuine heaviness and no pretentiousness! This is essential Metal classic!
