For the first time on standard vinyl, the only full-length studio album by cult Portuguese Melodic Black Metal band, side-project of four of five members by legendary Moonspell, led by Fernando 'Langsuyar' Miguel Santos Ribeiro.
Back in the years of 1997, 1998 E.V., Langsuyar (Fernando Ribeiro's alter ego), invoked his most occult ghosts and hermetic studies, to perform a last ritual. The result was an amazing conjuration of pure demonic force and bestial elegance that became "Hermeticum", the one-off album by Dæmonarch. All songs (except for "Call From The Grave", which is a cover version of a Bathory song) are based on poems that Fernando Ribeiro composed at the age of 14-16. The only then-active Moonspell member that didn't participate on this record was drummer Miguel Gaspar and instead of hiring a session musician, the project simply used a drum computer, which isn't uncommon for Black Metal bands. After the release of "Hermeticum", the side project was disbanded.
"Hermeticum" has been out of print and sold out for too long now, and this reissue brings back all the dark ritualistic vibes that once possessed the life and the work of Langsuyar. Dæmonarch's first and only strike is an absolute must-have record, even if you have to pay a more elevated price for this unfairly forgotten rarity that even most Moonspell fans don't seem to know. This record really deserves to see its name being spread and getting some more attention after all these years. This album is different enough from other Moonspell albums to deserve its own banner, but if you like the usual Gothic Metal style of this band, you will also appreciate this little masterpiece. Let's hope that Moonspell's members bring this project back to life one day!
Re-edition includes upgraded artwork and features 12-page booklet with the long-lost lyrics to all the songs, recovered from the very pits of hell by the author himself.

The third European re-release of the second full-length studio album by cult American Thrash Metal band.
Dark Angel's final album to feature original vocalist Don Doty, and the first to feature drummer Gene Hoglan, who joined the band a few months prior the release of their debut album, "We Have Arrived". While "Darkness Descends" continued the traditional Thrash Metal sound of "We Have Arrived", a portion of the album (particularly "Black Prophecies") contains elements that would be expanded upon on Dark Angel's next two albums, "Leave Scars" and "Time Does Not Heal", which saw the band produce a mixture of Thrash Metal with Progressive and Technical structures.
Released at the height of Thrash Metal's popularity, "Darkness Descends" has been cited as a major influence on the Death Metal, Doom Metal and Groove Metal scenes of the late 1980s and 1990s. It is considered an essential release in the Thrash Metal genre. In August 2014, Revolver placed "Darkness Descends" on its "14 Thrash Albums You Need to Own" list. Decibel Magazine placed it 9th on its "50 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums of All Time". Loudwire placed "Darkness Descends" at number 6 on its "Top Ten Thrash Albums NOT Released by the Big 4" list.
"Darkness Descends" is considered to be a classic in the Thrash Metal genre.

"The Mind’s I" represents an unusual period of Dark Tranquillity. After the release of the masterpiece "The Gallery", the band began to head away from the epic Classical-influenced Melodeath sound of that album towards more Progressive and Gothic tendencies. The "Enter Suicidal Angels" EP features some experimentations with Electronic programming (transition from "Zodijackyl Light" into "Razorfever") and even a straight out Techno song ("Archetype"). A very strange release indeed, after "The Gallery", "The Mind’s I" finds the band not taking such an Extreme approach as the EP did, but it can be seen that the Epic melodies are being dumbed down a bit in favour of a darker, more Progressive sound. Make no mistake, this is the bridge between "The Gallery" and "Projector".

The third full-length studio album by French Alternative Psychedelic/Blues/Stoner Rock band.
Dätcha Mandala return with their third album that has a fresh Garage Rock sound compared to their previous releases. The album is highly energetic with its infectious Stoner Rock sounds and melodic Blues Rock energy which captures a Classic Rock sound with a soulful rebellious attitude. With this new LP, the trio's influences are now fully assimilated, compositions assert themselves, absorbing a certain modernity, and at times, they also toughen, aligning with the current times. Taking cues from bands such as Qotsa and Clutch, but Dätcha Mandala perhaps add a Commercial Rock aspect to their overall sound which is still quite satisfying with the constant Hard Rock attitude spliced throughout the entire album. The vocals are clean and quite “pop” in places, but the instrumental grooves the band lay down on the album gives Dätcha Mandala a more aggressive personality.
The other good aspect of the album is that Dätcha Mandala lean quite heavily into more areas of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, with echoes of Motörhead and Black Sabbath making a more dominant appearance to give the band more credibility with the heavier Underground scene. There’s a deep sense of Dätcha Mandala love and respect for the British and American Hard Rock scene within the record, which sees the band switch to multiple different styles of music for the majority of the songs.
The lyrics darken, influenced by the zeitgeist, although a hopeful vision persists. Making bold choices in terms of sound and artistic production, Dätcha Mandala delivers a profound, robust, mature, powerful album with an unmatched consistency so far.
Dätcha Mandala have released their standout album to date and one that will gain them a whole legion of new followers. With first-rate production values, "Koda" is knockout entertainment from start to finish. Excellent and Highly Recommended!

The sixth re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary American Death Metal band.
"Spiritual Healing" is nothing short of genre-defining, which marked a new turn in the Death discography, one which ushered in cleaner production, a new level of boundary pushing musicianship and songwriting skills that were previously unimaginable from a Metal band.
Released on February 16, 1990 by Combat Records, it's the band's only album to feature both guitarist James Murphy and bassist Terry Butler, and the last to feature drummer Bill Andrews. The album was recorded at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida and was produced by Scott Burns. This was the final Death album cover painted by Ed Repka.
 "Spiritual Healing" sets the standard for riffs, insane time changes and of course mainman Chuck Schuldiner’s masterful guitar solos. The album marked a shift in style and content for the band, lyrically focusing on social evils and musically being more technical, as opposed to the gore-centered, straightforward Death Metal of their previous two albums. Due to this shift, the album received polarizing reception upon release.
This period was controversial for Death, as Butler and Andrews toured Europe without Schuldiner (who refused to do the tour on the basis that it had been badly organized), with vocalist Louis Carrisalez and guitarist Walter Traschler in his place. In response, Schuldiner pursued legal action, while firing them and shifting towards employing guest musicians on future releases.
Butler and Murphy, along with Gus Rios and Matt Harvey, featured at The Brass Mug in Tampa, Florida on December 11, 2021, playing all of "Spiritual Healing" and "commemorating" 20 years since Schuldiner's death.
It's really only in comparison to history-making achievement, their "great leap forward" 1991's seminal "Human" album and Schuldiner's subsequent masterpieces, that "Spiritual Healing" is justifiably diminished, because in every other sense it's a hell of an album that reflects what was probably Death's most crucial transition phase, to boot.
Metal Hammer called "Spiritual Healing" one of the best Heavy Metal releases of the 1990s.

This album showed Deep Purple searching for an 80s-flavored hit single, and by doing so, sounding similar to guitarist Ritchie Blackmore's other band, Rainbow.
Of the seventies Hard Rock dinosaurs that still roam the Earth, Deep Purple is one of the few with any credibility left in its crunch. "The House of Blue Light" is certainly a marked improvement over their lukewarm '84 comeback, "Perfect Strangers", and is as good as this band has ever been since its "Smoke On The Water" salad days.
"Bad Attitude" opens the album with five minutes of vintage "Machine Head" sludge - Ian Paice's thunder sticks calling the proceedings to order with a rigid goose-step beat, Ian Gillan raping his tonsils with the vigor of yesteryear. And "Mad Dog" is basically an '87-model "Highway Star," high-speed Metal fortified with Jon Lord's lusty Hammondorgan sound and the brass-knuckle guitar of Ritchie Blackmore.
The band has spiked its old hammer-and-anvil sound with a little future tech here and there: "The Unwritten Law" features subtly deployed electro-hand-claps and percolating sequencer amid its clenched-fist chorus and Blackmore's loco fretwork. But it's only when Purple turns on the retro-charm full blast that "The House Of Blue Light" really goes up in flames. "Hard Lovin' Woman" and "Dead or Alive" are both body-slam rockers in the old blitzkrieg spirit of "Speed King" and "Fireball", while Paice's sledgehammer-of-the-gods drumming and Blackmore's punch-your-lights-out chords keep "Call of the Wild", with its atypically Poppy hook, from turning into neo-Boston fluff.

It’s the second recording by the re-formed Mark II line-up, considered as classic: Ian Gillan - vocals, congas, harmonica; Ritchie Blackmore - guitar; Roger Glover - bass, synthesizer; Jon Lord - organ, keyboards; Ian Paice - drums.
Though it was considered a disappointment upon its release (indeed, its production was much too sleek at times, and it lacked the creative daring of "Perfect Strangers"), 1987's "House Of Blue Light" has actually stood the test of time just as well, if not better, than its predecessor. This album showed Deep Purple searching for an 80s-flavored hit single, and by doing so, sounding similar to guitarist Ritchie Blackmore's other band, Rainbow.
Of the seventies Hard Rock dinosaurs that still roam the Earth, Deep Purple is one of the few with any credibility left in its crunch. "The House of Blue Light" is certainly a marked improvement over their lukewarm '84 comeback, "Perfect Strangers", and is as good as this band has ever been since its "Smoke On The Water" salad days.
"Bad Attitude" opens the album with five minutes of vintage "Machine Head" sludge - Ian Paice's thunder sticks calling the proceedings to order with a rigid goose-step beat, Ian Gillan raping his tonsils with the vigor of yesteryear. Limited Edition re-release of the fourth full-length studio album by legendary British Hard Rock band.
It was the first band's album with the classic Mk II line-up. Rod Evans (vocals) and Nick Simper (bass) had been fired in June 1969 and were replaced by Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, respectively.
The album was preceded by two Singles, the first studio recordings that Gillan made with Deep Purple. The first single, released in 1969, was a Greenaway-Cook composition called "Hallelujah", which flopped. The second single, "Black Night", fared much better as it rose all the way to #2 on the UK charts.
"Deep Purple In Rock" was their breakthrough album in Europe and peaked at #4 in the UK, remaining in the charts for months (the band's prior MK I albums had been much better received in North America than in their homeland). In 2005, the album won the "Classic Rock and Roll of Honour Award" (given by the British monthly magazine Classic Rock) in the category Classic Album.
2018 remastered from the original analogue tapes and cut to vinyl at half speed for optimum sound quality Strictly Limited Edition re-release on Purple Vinyl.

Remastered re-release of the third full-length studio album (and the last in original Mark I line-up) by the legendary British Progressive Rock/Hard Rock band.
Also known as “April” or “Deep Purple III”, the album was released at a time when the band were starting to grow as performers, both live and in the studio, finding their direction musically. There were some conflicts over whether the band should continue on their rawer, heavier direction. This caused turmoil, which was partially responsible for two of the members Nick Simper (bass) and Rod Evans (vocals) being replaced by Roger Glover and Ian Gillan respectively. Commercially, this album was the least successful of the three Mark I era albums.
This album contains more original songs, seven in total, than on either of their first two albums, now starting to fully endeavor to write original material. The only cover song on the album is "Lalena", which was originally written and performed by Donovan. As an effect of the album's heavier, rawer sound, the individuals of the band, perhaps Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Paice in particular, were starting to really showcase their instrumental abilities, which had both been hidden in the organ-heavy mix on the previous two releases.
Ironically, the band's American label, Tetragrammaton Records, which was rapidly approaching bankruptcy, released this album a lot sooner than EMI did in England, but ran into trouble over the use of the Hieronymus Bosch painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" on the cover; although it has been on display at the Vatican, the work was wrongly perceived as containing profane images and never stocked as widely in stores as it might've been. It did not come close to the same success as its two predecessors, peaking at No. 162 in the US Billboard charts. Tetragrammaton's financial problems were partially to blame, as promotion was lackluster, and the lack of a hit single or tour support were also factors.
This is one of the most bracing Progressive Rock albums ever, and a successful vision of a musical path that the band might have taken but didn't.

The somewhat tiring repetitions of "No No No" actually threatened to drop the ball next, but the fantastic single "Strange Kind of Woman" nimbly caught and set it rolling again, just in time for the innuendo-encrusted hilarity of "Anyone's Daughter", featuring one of singer Ian Gillan's first (and still best) humorous storylines to go with one of guitarist Ritchie Blackmore's most uncharacteristic, Bluesiest performances ever. "The Mule" opened the vinyl album's second side with what is perhaps Purple's finest instrumental, and on the hyper-extended "Fools", the band members proved they could flirt with Progressive Rock without plunging off its cliff (although the song could probably have done without its drawn-out middle section). And closing the album was the exceptional "No One Came", where intertwining instrumental lines locked together beautifully, Gillan wove another entertaining yarn that was part autobiography and part Monty Python, and the often underrated skills of drummer Ian Paice helped the song sound so unreservedly fresh and intuitive that one could almost be convinced the band had winged it on the spot. Sure, the following year's "Machine Head" would provide Deep Purple with their commercial peak, but on "Fireball", the formidable quintet was already firing on all cylinders.
