This is one of those albums that has no weak spots whatsoever. Both the lyrics as the guitar riffs are excellent, and you'll hear how much fun it was to play together again in the band. Udo calling "Objection Overruled" "that classic Accept sound again" as well as "a very good Accept album". It was only after the album's release that rifts would begin to re-emerge within the band.
If you are looking for Traditional Metal as it was common in the eighties, you should buy this record! This is one of the best of its genre and stands in line with the likes of "Painkiller" and "Pile Of Skulls", and it is actually created by one of the oldest bands of the genre. This is true classic Heavy Metal at its best!

It was produced by Michael Wagener and recorded at 16th Ave. Sound Studios, Nashville, Tennessee, US. Drums and percussion, except on "Primitive" and additional percussion on "Predator", were played by Michael Cartellone from Damn Yankees and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
With this album, Accept moved away from the Hard & Heavy sound of their previous two comeback albums, and went for a more Hard Rock sound. That isn't to say that this album is in any way a poor effort, though. It just takes some time to sink in.
Udo sounds as great as ever, Wolf Hoffman’s guitar solos continue to be strong, and Baltes’ vocal contributions show that he could easily have fronted a hard Rock band if he chose that path. Wolf Hoffmann is clearly the chief creative force, here. His Classical and Country influences are very apparent, particularly on "Crossroads", which may actually be the strongest track on the album.
The record flows extremely well, otherwise, and actually succeeds in many ways that "Death Row" and "Objection Overruled" failed, mainly by finding its own sound, and somehow bringing the band's diverse musical influences together while maintaining the Accept sound, somehow. That diversity probably reflects the fact that the band was pulling in different directions at this point, but oddly enough, that works in "Predator"'s favour. Really, though, the good and exceptional material on this album outweighs the bad by a lot. Recommended!

Bassist Peter Baltes sung lead vocals on "Lay It Down", "It Ain't Over Yet" and "Primitive", as well as co-lead vocals on "Crossroads" songs.
Drums and percussion, except on "Primitive", and additional percussion on "Predator" were played by Michael Cartellone from Damn Yankees and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Right next to the self-titled album, "Predator" is probably the most ignored Accept album. It's no mystery as to why: when compared to its predecessors, "Death Row" and "Objection Overruled", it certainly comes out of left field. That isn't to say that this album is in any way a poor effort, though. It just takes some time to sink in. Wolf Hoffmann is clearly the chief creative force, here. His Classical and Country influences are very apparent, particularly on "Crossroads", which may actually be the strongest track on the album. The main Achilles' Heel of "Predator" is Peter Baltes' completely unwelcome melodic singing. Yes, Accept's bassist has a very nice singing voice, the problem here is that he seems to sing during parts that would sound much better with Udo growling them out. "Lay it Down" is a perfect example of one such missed opportunity. Just picturing in your mind Udo singing the chorus, it becomes immediately apparent just how misplaced Peter's melodic singing is on this album. In small doses, like on "Crossroads", the contrast of clean singing and Udo's growls really works in the music's favour, but the frequency of Peter's intrusion in the proceedings is really distracting and out-of-place, ultimately, and "It Ain't Over Yet" is a perfect example of this.

"Staying A Life" is a double live album, recorded in Osaka, Japan, in 1985. Shortly after Accept's first breakup in 1990, Epic dusted Osaka live tapes and issued the band's second live full-length.
Live footage from the 1985–1986 world tour was released in VHS also in 1990, with the same title and cover art. "Neon Nights", "Burning", "Head Over Heels", and "Outro (Bound to Fail)" are omitted from the single disc edition.
"Staying A Life" does a faithful job of capturing Accept at the peak of their arena Metal powers, circa their "Metal Heart" era. The proof why the German band was handed opening slots on quite a few popular mid-'80s tours (Kiss, Iron Maiden, etc.) is evident throughout – rocking versions of "Metal Heart", "Screaming for A Love Bite", "Restless And Wild", and "London Leatherboys" surely got a few mullets headbanging on this fateful night. And of course, Accept's two best-known tracks, "Fast As A Shark" and "Balls to the Wall", are included, as they close out the set. They may never have reached arena headlining status in the US, but "Staying A Life" proves that Accept was on equal footing with just about any Metal chart-topper from around this time, especially when it came to the concert stage.
Definitely a must for all die-hard Accept fans! A testament to this great band and a peak area in their timeline history!!

The fifteenth full-length studio album by the legendary German Heavy Metal band.
The 15th long-play from the venerable Metallers, "The Rise Of Chaos" is Accept's fourth full-length since re-forming in 2009 with vocalist Mark Tornillo (original frontman Udo Dirkschneider left the band in 1987). It's also the first LP to feature new guitarist Uwe Lulis and drummer Christopher Williams, but fans of 2014's surprisingly vital-sounding "Blind Rage" will be pleased to hear that Accept 2.0 is still a force to be reckoned with, especially if one's tastes lean toward the kind of uncompromising, no-frills Euro-Metal that filled stadiums in the 1980s. Those who are expecting a big change in sound with the new incarnation (Swartzmann and Frank out / Williams and Lulis in) of this veteran outfit might be disappointed. But for those wanting more of the same Hard Rock/Classic Power/Heavy Metal Accept has been cranking out for decades, "The Rise Of Chaos" delivers – for the most part. After all, the same four guys who have been producing these albums (Tornillo, Baltes, the venerable Wolf Hoffmann and Sneep) since 2010’s crushing "Blood Of The Nations" are still at the helm. Not surprisingly then, the sound recording quality, the guitar leads and solos, the solid, straight-ahead drum rhythms and the Udo/Halford vocals of Tornillo (who continues to excel by the way) still dominate. And the melodies and catchy “gang-choruses” are still pretty darn good. The only problem is that this formula sounds just a bit tired this time around – some of these songs lacking slightly the intensity of the preceding 3 releases.
“Die By The Sword” and the title track are pretty classic Accept Metal anthems, filled with great riffs, solos and those infectious chorus chants. As you can expect, their music is full of power and fury, something of a mixture of Dream Theater, Queensryche and Fates Warning. Names like Rush, Journey, Kansas, Styx, Savatage and Vanden Plas also come to mind. Vocalist Stephen Green will undoubtedly remind of Queensryche vocalist Geoff Tate. What characterizes Accomplice's debut album is its strong melodies and harmonies as well as its clear, clean production. Compared to other Prog Metal outfits, however, Accomplice weave a lot of AOR elements into their music, making it sound more like 80s arena Rock than 90s Prog Metal. Although they pack a lot of punch into their album (pounding drums, booming bass, lots of guitar pyrotechnics, wailing synths and soaring vocals), their ballads are surprisingly gripping too, providing a welcome interlude between the hard-edged, adrenaline-packed numbers.
An excellent debut album that highly recommended to Hard Rock fans, especially if they like melodic Hard Rock!!

German quartet Accu§er created something great on “Accuser”. It’s a massive and brutal form of Technical Thrash Metal that isn’t usual for traditional German Thrash names, because they carry a lot of modern Thrash Metal influences, including the use of bitter (but hooking) melodies under the massive aggressiveness of their music. It’s similar to what Suicidal Angels do: a massive and Old School Thrash Metal form, but with a modern outfit that makes things better and different from the clones that infest Thrash Metal scene since the end of the 90’s (in the greater part, those who want to emulate what was already done).
The production of the album done to increase both aggressive and technical aspects of their musical work, but in a clean and defined way that allows the listeners to understand what is being played. And, all without trying to be old fashioned or to clone what many bands already did.

German quartet Accu§er created something great on “Accuser”. It’s a massive and brutal form of Technical Thrash Metal that isn’t usual for traditional German Thrash names, because they carry a lot of modern Thrash Metal influences, including the use of bitter (but hooking) melodies under the massive aggressiveness of their music. It’s similar to what Suicidal Angels do: a massive and Old School Thrash Metal form, but with a modern outfit that makes things better and different from the clones that infest Thrash Metal scene since the end of the 90’s (in the greater part, those who want to emulate what was already done).
The production of the album done to increase both aggressive and technical aspects of their musical work, but in a clean and defined way that allows the listeners to understand what is being played. And, all without trying to be old fashioned or to clone what many bands already did.

"Da Capo" saw the band return to their original sound that brought them their international acclaim, classic Pop aesthetics married to a Reggae style rhythm but played with synths. The album is named for the musical term da capo, meaning "back to the beginning".
The album was initially slated for a summer 2000 release, but problems with Ace of Base's record labels caused it to be delayed for another year. The band's record label demanded that many of the album's songs be reworked with additional producers. Ultimately, "Da Capo" came out at the end of September 2002, and resulted in very low album sales in many European territories. The album was planned to be released in the United States in 2003, but no release surfaced. In an interview, Ulf said that the group would release the album in the United States, with the songs being more acoustic. However, it never came out in America or Australia, although it has recently become available on iTunes. Polydor Records gave it a "soft release" in the UK on 21 October 2002 with no promotion nor any radio singles, as Polydor believed that the band were no longer relevant to the British music scene.
The title track was later featured on Dance Dance Revolution Supernova in 2006. As of 2008, Da Capo has sold over 600,000 copies, far fewer than Ace of Base's earlier releases.
This album finally gets the global release that all the fans have been waiting for. It was the last album to be made with the original line up. If you were to imagine what an Ace Of Base album sounds like without ever hearing one – this would be it!

The re-release charted 59 for one week in the UK, and thus was Ace of Base's return to the charts since their 2010 album "The Golden Ratio" worldwide and since the 1999 compilation "Singles Of The 90s" in the UK.

The European release of American Version of the debut full-length studio album, “The Sign”, by legendary Swedish Pop/Eurodance band. Also, can be considered as re-release of “Happy Nation” - the original Scandinavian / European version of the album, with bonus tracks.
Released on 23 November 1993 as “The Sign” in North America, Japan, and some Latin American countries by Arista Records, the original American version of the album contains the songs from band’s Scandinavian debut release, “Happy Nation” (1992), plus three new songs ("Don't Turn Around", "The Sign" and "Living in Danger"), as well as revised versions of "Voulez-Vous Danser" and "Waiting for Magic". The songs "Münchhausen (Just Chaos)" and "Dimension of Depth" from the original album, “Happy Nation”, were removed altogether.
To coincide with the release of “The Sign”, “Happy Nation” was re-released outside the USA and Canada as “Happy Nation - U.S. Version”, and featured the new tracks and revised versions included on "The Sign", as well the new track "Hear Me Calling" and a remix of "Happy Nation" (CD version. Also appeared on Spanish release of vinyl only, 1994).
“Happy Nation” / “The Sign” was ranked top three on the Billboard 200 chart for 26 consecutive weeks. The album and the single (of the same name) are the only single or album by a Swedish act to rank number one on Billboard's annual overall Year-End lists.
“Happy Nation” / “The Sign” is listed among the Top 100 Best-selling Albums of All Time by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with sales in excess of 21 million copies. The album itself earned Arista Records 42 million USD, and was nominated for Best Pop Album at the 1995 Grammy Awards.

The first remastered re-release of the debut full-length studio album by cult American Death/Black Metal band.
Acheron was founded in 1988 by vocalist/bassist/songwriter Vincent Crowley (formerly of Nocturnus). After three demos, they recorded their cult debut "Rites of the Black Mass" album in 1992 at Morrisound Studios, with Scott Burns (Death, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse etc).
"Rites Of The Black Mass" is a prime example of a true masterpiece of uncompromising American Death Metal. It was recorded in the right time (early 90s) and in the right place, and was composed with a high level of knowledge about the satanic themes which the lyrics deal with (Crowley was involved with the Church Of Satan).
The peculiarity of this album is that each song is preceded by an intro / interlude composed and played by Peter H. Gilmore, High Priest of the Church Of Satan. Organs, synthesizers, chants and effected voices that help to create a pretty dark and evil atmosphere. Regarding the music, Acheron plays pure American Old-School Death Metal, mixing some fast songs and some slower ones.
Another highlight is the guest appearance by Mike Browning from mighty Nocturnus as backing vocalist.
Acheron’s lyrics are about satanism, of course, and are written both by Crowley and Gilmore. What we have here is an accurate knowledge and literacy of Anton Szandor LaVey’s philosophy that conceptualizes Satan as a representation of self-spirituality and individualism. So, you won’t find tons of pointless curses or blasphemies like in the lyrics of the newest ultra-satanic, super-demonic and christophobic copycat band, but here is all very well studied and in full knowledge of the subject.
"Rites Of The Black Mass" was originally released in 1992 by the German rip off label Turbo Music, that didn’t send any royalties to the band. Then it was reissued a bunch of times by various labels throughout the years, becoming a sort of hard-to-find collector’s item. Fortunately, the Dutch label Vic Records has re-released "Rites Of The Black Mass" in a fully remastered by Tom Palms (Phlebotomized) edition. Artwork and booklet completely restored, including liner notes and interview of Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle, ex-Asphyx, ex-Soulburn) with bandleader Vincent Crowley. Also, the re-release includes "Promo 1990" as a bonus.
Any true Death Metal fan ought to have "Rites Of The Black Mass" in his collection!
