Debut full-length album by the legendary American Thrash Metal band.
It was an underground hit and is widely considered to be the band's best album, although it did not break the band into the Rock mainstream.
Comparable to Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica, Testament is one of Thrash Metal's more accessible and best-known bands. Testament quickly earned respect in Thrash circles with its debut album, a relentlessly heavy and promising effort focusing on such subjects as the occult, witchcraft, nuclear war and global destruction. A song titled "The Legacy" was later released on the 1990 album “Souls of Black”.
Atlantic Records/Megaforce Records, 1987 (7567-81741-2). Made in Germany.
