Ortega is a four-piece Sludge/Doom band from the north of The Netherlands. Four men telling a tale of the sea, musically depicted in a broad and visual manner. Ortega's sound is best described as Doom Metal balanced with spherical soundscapes, brought together with slow and heavy riffs.
Everything flows smoothly, and sounds great. It's a mix of a variety of styles, but one they've managed to master and make their own.
It’s rare to find a truly immersive experience in music that strikes a balance between credible musical longevity and pure entertainment. "1634" – it's a Post Doom, with mildly Gothic influences and maybe some Sludgy Rock elements. The end product is a hypnotic opus with using of other musical instruments like the drifting violins and plenty of repetition feeds into the feeling of undulating waves and the endless sea. 
"1634" was originally released by band in 2010 as a concept-album, packaged in a handmade cover CD limited to 100 copies. The album is now released for the first time on CD limited to 1000 copies in a spot-varnished digipack.
Either way "1634" is all too good to miss, superb, and strongly recommend! Suggest a double dose of brandy, rum or whatever else takes your fancy, settle yourself in a quiet room with the lights turned down low and prepare for the voyage!!

The third full-length studio album by American Progressive Rock band.
O.S.I.'s (Office of Strategic Influence) third album is a Prog-Metal outing that has a strong Alt Rock influence. No one will accuse "Blood" of going out of its way to sound like Dream Theater, which is ironic in light of the fact that the co-leaders on this 2009 release are singer/keyboardist Kevin Moore (formerly of Dream Theater) and guitarist/keyboardist Jim Matheos (of Fates Warning fame).
Prog-Metal often has an overt Power Metal influence; "Blood"'s approach, however, is Pink Floyd and King Crimson by way of Radiohead, Nirvana, Grunge, Alt-Metal and Alt-Rock. Instead of bright, shiny '70s/'80s-like guitars, we're talking chug-chug riffs and downtuned guitars. "Blood" has its aggressive, forceful moments, but even so, the material is quite melodic and, most of the time, O.S.I. are moody and Darkly Atmospheric more than anything. Some of that moodiness comes from O.S.I.'s appreciation of Pink Floyd and King Crimson, but some of it comes from their appreciation of Radiohead. So there is no getting around the fact that this 47-minute CD draws its inspiration from different eras and different generations of Rock.
Some headbangers, who know Moore from Dream Theater and Matheos from Fates Warning, might be surprised by how much Alternative appeal "Blood" has, but that appeal is a plus on an album that falls short of earth-shattering but is still solid and worthwhile.

Melodic Rock mostly fairly tame and predictable, the type of music that doesn't offend or offer many surprises. But when it's done correctly it can also be one of the most rewarding genres, and Outloud have done it right!
The music on "We'll Rock You To Hell And Back Again!" is huge, and the type of Arena Rock that could blow the roof off even the largest venue!!
"What I Need" and the first single "We Run" kick off the CD, and arguably represents the best one-two punch put to disc that year. "What I Need" especially Rocks with its rapid-fire drumming and soaring vocals - picture the best from Europe, Pole Position and Sargant Fury. To put everything in perspective, "Tonite" pales in comparison to those first two tracks yet would be one the best songs on almost any album put out that year!
No doubt, this CD is great from beginning to end, it's the type of bombastic sound that Bon Jovi likely wishes they could still dream up. And it's all done by a relatively new band which is amazing in itself. The story behind Outloud is that Nightwish and Firewind guitarist Bob Katsionis was teaching fellow musician Tony Kash, who was coming up with some impressive riffs. Katsionis then recruited Talon vocalist, Chandler Mogel, and his drumming band-mate Mark Cross to put together the Outloud venture. Even though the original recordings got deleted and the band had to start over from scratch, the whole project has turned out to be the work of genius. Not only do the afore mentioned tracks Rock, but also check out the killer riffs in "Search For The Truth", the unrelenting "Breathing Fire" and the epic "Out In The Night".
In 2009 Outloud have set the bar for Melodic Metal - and they've set it high! "We'll Rock You To Hell And Back Again!" is perfect in almost every sense, offering Hard Rock tracks, ballads, and a musicianship that is top-notch - it's hard to even imagine how successful this band would have been if they arrived twenty years earlier!! Taking a trip to hell and back isn't supposed to be this satisfying!!!

The twentieth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
It is the band's first studio album in four years, following "The Wings Of War" (2019), the longest gap between studio albums for the band. The release date of "Scorched" was postponed on numerous occasions, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The album was intended to be released in April 2021, but it was soon pushed back to the summer or fall of 2021, and then later to early 2022, and finally to the spring of 2023.
As per usual, frontman Bobby "Blitz" Elsworth offers up his happy-go-lucky, sand paper scowl and inventively catchy vocal lines. Dave Linsk's guitar leads are well-sculpted, smartly phrased and fall somewhere between guitar god shred and virtuoso juke joint sloppiness. And bass players everywhere who feel misunderstood and overlooked can continue to rally around Carlo "D.D." Verni, his ball-punching tone, prominence in the mix and the way he drives many of the riffs/songs with a thick urban twang.

To date, it has sold over 3.000.000 copies in the US In the UK, it was the third of four Osbourne albums to attain Silver certification (60.000 units sold) by the British Phonographic Industry, achieving this in January 1984.
The album was remastered and released for the first time in 1995.
"Bark At The Moon" was re-issued again in 2002, although this version was actually a new remix of the album. This 2002 remixed version of the album has met with mixed reaction; many elements found in the original mix are not present in the remix, namely several lead guitar parts. In addition, the song "You're No Different" has an alternate ending and "Centre of Eternity" has an altered intro segment. This edition also includes the bonus tracks "Spiders" and "One Up the 'B' Side".

The album was a commercial success, being certified 4x Platinum in the U.S., a feat Osbourne would not achieve again until the release of "No More Tears" in 1991. Second remastered and first remixed re-release of the second full-length album by the legendary “godfather” of Heavy Metal.
This album is Osbourne's personal favorite of all his releases. This is the final album recorded by guitarist Randy Rhoads, who perished in an airplane crash in early 1982.
The 2002 remixed reissue was derided by fans due to the removal of Daisley and Kerslake's original bass and drum tracks. The re-issue featured re-recorded bass and drum tracks contributed by Osbourne's then-bassist and drummer Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin. The move was suspected of being retaliatory in nature, as Daisley and Kerslake had successfully sued Osbourne and his wife/manager Sharon in court, winning songwriting credits and royalties for their contributions to "Diary of a Madman". Sharon later stated that Ozzy and not herself was responsible for the decision to re-record the parts, stating "because of Daisley and Kerslake's abusive and unjust behavior, Ozzy wanted to remove them from these recordings. We turned a negative into a positive by adding a fresh sound to the original albums. "However, Osbourne contradicted his wife's claim in his 2009 autobiography, stating that the decision to re-record the original bass and drum parts was strictly Sharon's decision, and that "I didn't have anything to do with that decision." He said his wife "just snapped" and had it done without his knowledge. He also stated that "a sticker was put on the covers telling everyone about it", though in fact the sticker was not initially placed on the re-issue and was only placed on the covers at a later date due to fan outcry over the altered recordings.
To date, the album has sold over 3.2 million copies worldwide.

This album is Osbourne's personal favourite of all his releases. This is the final album recorded by guitarist Randy Rhoads, who perished in a plane crash in early 1982. It also represents drummer Lee Kerslake's final appearance with Osbourne.
 This album was done with passion! Osbourne sure delivered a message with this trail of thought. The little above average playing of the guitar God Rhoads did work for the relatively young Ozz fanbase. Recorded back to back alongside with the solo debut “Blizzard Of Ozz”, “Diary Of Madman” concealed the unseen talents of the bassist Bob Daisley. “Madman” rages through with some dramatic and tragic guitar passages all toward the mad, doomy and sadistic dimensions of this album.
To date, “Diary Of Madman” has sold over 3.2 million copies worldwide.

The band's first studio album to feature bassist Robert Trujillo (later Metallica) and drummer Mike Bordin (Faith No More), which joined the band in 1996 and 1997, respectively.
“Down To Earth” spawned just two singles, although both reached the top-ten of the US Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and reached number 18 on the UK Singles Chart.
The album reached number 19 on the UK Albums Chart and number 4 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart. It was certified Platinum and has sold over 1.500.000 million copies worldwide.
