The eighth full-length studio album by legendary American Horror/Glam/Pop Rock band.
“Unmasked” features substantial songwriting contributions from Vini Poncia, who had previously been Ringo Starr's post-Beatles songwriting partner. The album marked the first time KISS had used the contributions of outside songwriters to such a large extent, as all tracks except two of the Frehley contributions, "Talk to Me" and "Two Sides of the Coin", were written or co-written by someone outside the band. Despite being credited, Peter Criss had no involvement with the recording of the album; Anton Fig played all the drums uncredited. The band filmed a promotional video for "Shandi" with Criss. It was the last time he appeared with KISS until he performed with them at a "Kiss Convention" on June 17, 1995. Criss was fired from the band in May 1980 due to his erratic behaviour.
KISS is one of the best-selling bands of all the time, having sold more than 75 000 000 records worldwide, including 25 000 000 RIAA-certified albums.
KISS also holds the title as America's #1 Gold record award-winning band of all time, having earned 30 Gold albums. The band has 14 Platinum albums, with three albums being multi-Platinum.
On April 10, 2014, the four original members of KISS were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
KISS was ranked by MTV as the ninth "Greatest Metal Band of All Time", and placed tenth on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" list, as well as being ranked as the third "Best Metal and Hard Rock Live Band of All Time" by Loudwire.

Kissin' Dynamite works all the Eighties angles: melodic Hard Rock with a side of Glam and Sleaze and a Metal edge.
While possibly not as sensational as the marvellous "Addicted To Metal", "Money, Sex & Power" certainly follows the same path. Kissin' Dynamite is quite good at combining melody and hook with their edgier, Metalish, Melodic Hard Rock. Actually, this album may lean more on the Rock groove than previously.
Overall, Kissin' Dynamite's "Money, Sex & Power" is a worthy follow-up to their previous success, and shows a talented band maturing as they follow their musical path. Recommended!

The clear production gives the music a very angular and spiky edge, and the spaces within the music are dark and bleak. The emphasis on complex song structures along with the dissonant guitar chords and the clean production demands a high level of musicianship and the musicians working together as a tight unit, both of which are present and consistent throughout the album.
With the distinct style they have, incorporating Death Metal and classical music influences, and their serious and thoughtful approach to song composition and performance, Kõdu deserve the attention!

"Follow The Leader" is the band's most commercially–successful album, being certified five-times Platinum by the RIAA.The album peaked at number one on four national charts, including the US Billboard 200 with 268,000 units sold in its first week of release. Its singles, "Got the Life" and "Freak on a Leash", both charted on more than three charts, and their music videos are considered to be the first music videos retired from MTV, most notably the MTV show Total Request Live. It was the band's first album not produced by Ross Robinson. Instead, it was produced by Steve Thompson and Toby Wright.

Roaring back after the grief and bloodletting of 2019's "The Nothing", metal veterans Korn add yet another highlight to their late-era renaissance with their 14th set. The fifth full-length album by the legendary American Nu Metal band.
After a three-year break that included solo projects and soundtrack work, Korn's re-emergence in the summer of 2002 was met with great anticipation. They delivered an album that shows them building on their previous sound and emphasizing its strengths.
The use of melody is more important than ever, allowing Jonathan Davis to utilize his wide palette of vocal tricks. His charismatic voice can now move from a clear-throated wail to a Death Metal growl with ease, lending the album a manic side that brings to mind "King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime"-era Faith No More.
The band is far more experimental this time out, delivering Helmet-like ringing guitars that melt and morph into each other, a mix of Metallica-esque blastbeats and tight Funk drumming from the constantly improving David Silveria, and memorable riffs that take the shape of dark sound structures and offer more than just a collection of chords. In fact, it is the last point where the album sets itself apart from most Nu-Metal offerings; Korn understand that the overall sound of Hip-Hop works because of the sonic stew that producers create through samples. The band does the same with instruments, cutting the chugging riffs of the past and replacing them with edgy soundscapes that are equally as menacing. There isn't even a Rapped verse here, save for Davis' rhythmic scatting at moments, further distancing the band from the scene it helped create. But by cutting away some of the fat and finding new ways to deliver their trademark roar, Korn manage to offer a strong and lean album that maintains their place as innovators in a genre with few leaders!
The album featured the Grammy-winning single "Here to Stay". It's debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 434,000 copies sold during its first week, and was certified Platinum on July 11, 2002. The album has sold over 4,000,000 copies in the US as of January 4, 2013 and over 5 million copies worldwide!!

He's assembled a band for this album that includes keyboardist Janne Wirman (Children Of Bodom), bassist Lauri Porra (Stratovarius), guitarist Tuomas Wainola (Thunderstone) and drummer Mirka Rantanen (Thunderstone). Kotipelto has had a completely different band for each album.
Kotipelto has an excellent and powerful voice which is rightfully showcased here, and if you like Stratovarius you'll probably enjoy “Serenity”. It's Melodic Power Metal with crunchy guitars, layers of keyboards and soaring vocals.

Kraworath from Saratov was not long in coming. Over a short period, this project found its niche among the Russian brutal bands and came up with such monsters like Cannibal Corpse, Deicide and Dying Fetus in terms of heaviness and speed. 
The music of Kraworath became more intense and rich; lyrics grew even more ultimatistic and presented the anthology of present day serial crimes. Kartashov’s songwriting has certainly gotten stronger; enough so that Kraworath should definitely be mentioned in the same breath as Russian brutal death stalwarts 7.H Target and Abominable Putridity.
The album brings energy of the debut, multiplied by the new performance standards. From the first note, the first riff of the album power and aggression strike listeners fair in the face, deep growling ruptures their untrained eardrums echoing in their cracked heads. Completely written and performed by Roman Kartashov, "Purification Through Pain" bring ten tracks running just shy of the thirty-five minute mark. Everything that made the debut so punishing is here: razor sharp riffing, bass heavy chord progressions and fast paced drumming. Certain elements were honed into a sharper and more damaging sound. The riffing is precise, balancing between chugging progressions and blazing fast trem riffing while the drums annihilate all in their wake.
"Purification Through Pain" is a much stronger album than the debut and, although it’s constantly firing on all cylinders, manages to sport more variety in tempo and songwriting. It’s an impressive album, given that everything is performed by one man!

The first official re-release of the eighth full-length studio album by legendary German Gothic/Industrial/Thrash Metal band.
Kreator's first album to feature drummer Jürgen "Ventor" Reil since 1992's "Renewal", and the first to feature then-former Coroner guitarist Tommy Vetterli.
Beginning with “Renewal” in 1992, Kreator started a phase in their career of mild experimentation. Like so many other bands of the 90s, the pressures of Metal's decline and the rise of other, Alternative music seemed to shake itself off on the Germans, thus provoking an evolution of sound. To their credit, Kreator still felt and sounded like Kreator throughout all of these works. "Outcast" is Kreator stripped to the bone, with the atmosphere of nowadays' oppression and agitation. Some ditch it for not being Thrash Metal, but if you like Kreator and understand the band's soul, you might like this one too.
As far as atmosphere, the record is mixed extremely well, and despite the various tempos the tracks will move at, it all comes together to create a consistent experience. It's an interesting change for the band, which brings forward a few of the ideas initiated with "Renewal".

The second re-release of the second full-length studio album by legendary German Thrash Metal band.
Kreator is one of the three original Teutonic Thrash Metal bands. "Pleasure To Kill" shows the band's style of non-stop Thrash with Death Metal characteristics. Every song after the one-minute intro "Choir of the Damned" is extremely fast with the usual Thrash Metal style. The singing style on this album reminds somewhat of Chuck Schuldiner's with Death, but maybe a little less Death Metallish. No cookie munched singing on this album.
"Pleasure To Kill" is a solid, above average Thrash Metal album. None of the songs on this album stood out as below par for the album, making it a strong album to listen through completely. The riffs are great Thrash Metal riffs on every track, and the solos are fast and chaotic, reminding somewhat of Slayer.
"Pleasure To Kill" is widely considered a Thrash Metal classic. It is also considered a landmark album in the history of Thrash Metal along with "Master Of Puppets" by Metallica, "Peace Sells… But Who's Buying?" by Megadeth, "Reign In Blood" by Slayer, "To Mega Therion" by Celtic Frost and "Darkness Descends" by Dark Angel, all released in 1986.
"Pleasure To Kill" provides sonic carnage, superior material and relentless Metal massacre!
