The seventh full-length studio album by cult American Groove/Metalcore band.
The final Lamb of God album of original material to feature drummer Chris Adler before his departure from the band in July 2019. Also, it's the first album after lead vocalist Randy Blythe's manslaughter case and a brief hiatus after finishing the "Resolution" touring cycle. 
For the past three and a half years, Lamb of God has gone through some fucked up shit. With Randy Blythe being locked-up and accused for murdering a fan some years ago, most fans probably thought that was the end for Lamb Of God in 2012. Three years after Randy's ultimately brief incarceration and freeing, band are back with probably their most anticipated album ever. Fans waited a long time for this album to hit the shelves, just to hear the result of the band's recent struggles. On top of it, their last album, "Resolution", was a bit mediocre, so this album also had to prove that Lamb still is in the game.
The production job is clean and heavy. The band's now long-time producer Josh Wilbur once again handled this album, and you will be satisfied with his work. This album is certainly not as over-produced as "Ashes Of The Wake" or "Sacrament" were (both of them were produced by Machine), but it's cleaner than "Wrath" and better mastered than "Resolution", which had some annoying digital clipping.
The band really brings out the best of themselves this time around, both playing-wise and in writing/arrangements. This album is ultimately a very strong effort that feels like an actual band product, rather than a cocktail with a bit of everyone here and there, like the previous album.
The album was included at number 20 on Rock Sound's top 50 releases of 2015 list, while MetalSucks voted it the best Metal album of 2015. Also, it was honored with a 2015 Metal Storm Award for Best Thrash Metal Album. “VII: Sturm Und Drang” has sold over 100,000 copies in America.
Lamb Of God has really topped itself this time, and "Sturm Und Drang" really is one of their finest efforts!

Remastered re-release of the debut full-length album by American Progressive Groove Metal band.
The re-release of Last Crack's 1989 debut shows the completely raw energy of what was to come of this great, but seldom heard of Mid-Western band. Recorded at Prince's famed studio, Paisley Park in Minneapolis, Last Crack were able to make their Heavy Rock, Groove laden, tongue in cheek humor into a reality. "Funkhouse" is first of all a very fun and loose record. Singer, only known as Buddo, makes sure of that. One of the claims to fame for Last Crack was the album cover art for this debut. Back in 1989 this cover was very controversial. A fully naked Buddo in somewhat of an archery type of pose, did serve them well and caused a buzz for the band.
As silly and fun as Buddo is with his John Bush (Armored Saint/Anthrax) with a bit of Phil Lewis (Girl/L.A. Guns) themed vocals, guitar duo Don Bakken and Paul Schluter, play their guitar wizard roles as serious as a heart attack, filling this record with great solos and rifferage throughout. While the rhythm section of drummer Phil Buerstatte and bassist Todd Winger set the table for Last Crack's often intricate and Groove filled Metal.
Last Crack obviously had a good sense of humor to go along with their musical chops. Song titles like "Gush Volcano Crush" and "Blood Brothers of the Big Black Bear" are not used if you can't back them up. And while cutting their teeth on this first major release, songs like "Slicing Steel", "Terse" and the downright Funky "Saraboyscage" all show how diverse and menacing they are capable of being.
While recorded at a world class studio like Paisley Park, the production of this debut sounds just that, a debut. Very under produced, probably because they weren't given much of a budget to record with. Remember this was 1989 and not like today with the "Pro Tools" generation of making a million seller CD in your bathroom.
Last Crack is a band to check out. The songs on this debut don't sound dated, but the production does. So listen with an open mind. The talent is there. If you like bands like King's X, Mindfunk, Icon and Armored Saint then you should dig Last Crack!!

The album peaked at number 71 on the US Billboard 200, though it fared better internationally, reaching the top 10 in Sweden and Switzerland, and the top 15 in Norway.
The album's lead Single, "Spanish Eddie", earned Branigan her sixth top-40 entry in two and a half years, peaking at number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was moderately successful outside the United States. Subsequent Singles "Hold Me" and "I Found Someone" failed to make an impact, peaking at numbers 82 and 90 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. The second EP by legendary Norwegian/German Symphonic/Gothic/Folk Metal band.
Originally planned as a Single from the "Vinland Saga" album, but later extended to a complete EP with new songs, "Legend Land" shows Liv's maturing and the band getting heavier. Liv Kristine has once again finally found her classic vocal verisimilitude. And the EP is more Metal than the band's two full-length releases (not heavier, but the sound is more accessible and more straight-forward). There was also more use of male vocals than "Vinland Saga". He actually appears in all songs, but he only sings a few lines here and there. Listening to this album makes you feel like you're out at sea during a storm. It really embraces the Viking theme much more than "Vinland Saga" did. This album has no fillers, and every song deserves a 10/10. Every track is unique and different from the previous.
This is a perfect album that its only flaw is that there aren't more songs!
Limited Edition to 5000 copies were released with a blue cover and are signed by all the band members. The signing took place with the band's attempt for the journalization in the Guinness Book of Records, carrying out the "Hardest Signing Session by a Rock Band". May 9th, Leaves' Eyes were the first band to sign, with a metallic silver pen, a complete edition of 5000 copies with blue cover within only 8 hours.

The debut full-length studio album by legendary Norwegian/German Symphonic/Gothic/Folk Metal band.
The band was formed by Liv Kristine (ex- Theatre of Tragedy) and the entire line-up of Atrocity. Almost all vocals on the album are by Liv Kristine, but there are also some death growls by Alexander Krull (Liv’s husband at that time) of Atrocity. Alex Krull also produced the album.
"Lovelorn" is undeniably a Metal record, but it seems to be split between two main moods: Gothic/Symphonic Operatics, and a warmer Folksier slant, complete with acoustic instrumentation and Atmospheric world music focus.
Liv Kristine finally gets the chance to unfurl a bit and show off her singing chops. She still has that iconic breathiness that she eventually learned to not do so much. She handles her own vocal melodies and lyrics with much more confidence and gusto than anything else she's done before, and the instrumentation meets her power quite well. The band essentially adds rhythm and girth, but the real draw to this record is the melodies. Lead vocals, harmonies, and various layers of keyboard and piano frills, etc. This is where most of the appeal and drama lives in this album.
The material on "Lovelorn" is generally strong. The atmosphere is rich, and the melodies are strong and catchy, and the inclusion of the Alexander's beast to Liv's beauty on some of these songs adds harshness to balance out the ephemeral tone of the album. Every song does include the twanging of the Folk acoustics, but it doesn't infringe upon the darker soundscape that they've made, it just adds texture.
"Lovelorn" is a strong and pleasant record; it doesn't do anything radically new or different, but it was a successful launch of Liv Kristine as the face of a new band, in which she took more of an active role in the music she was singing. It was also a successful launch of this band as a whole.

The album title is inspired by the Old English compound noun meredēað, literally "sea-death". On her website, Liv Kristine saying that "Meredead" could be translated as "dead by the sea".
Produced by Alexander Krull, the album blends the Folk elements from earlier works to shape "Meredead"'s atmospheric tone.
The opening track, "Spirits' Masquerade," incorporates Folk instrumentation, enriching the album’s diverse sound. Tracks like "Étaín" and "Sigrlinn" lyrically evoke the mysticism of ancient cultures, featuring Irish píobaí uilleann pipes to enhance their thematic depth. The album also includes more traditional songs, such as "Nystev" and "Kråkevisa"; the latter employs the Scandinavian nyckelharpa, or keyed fiddle. A cover of "To France" reinterprets the tragedy and emotion of Mike Oldfield's classic. 
Supporting vocals and instrumentation on the album are provided by Maite Itoiz and John Kelly (Elfenthal), Carmen Espenæs, the Norwegian Anette Guldbrandsen, and Victor Smolski's Lingua Mortis Orchestra.
Leaves' Eyes has always offered more than just a musical broadening of the horizon. Liv Kristine's use of Old English and Norwegian lyrics narrates fascinating sagas, bringing the listener even closer to a long-forgotten era. Whether a gentle ballad or an opulent opus, the tracks are direct and to the point. With "Njord", Leaves' Eyes embarks on yet another enthralling journey through the myths and sagas of the North. "Njörðr" comes from Norse mythology and is a name associated to the Vanir god of the sea and the wind. In this album, the band used for the first time a full orchestra and choir and wrote for them suitable arrangements.
The strong and sonorous compositions familiar to the band's fan base have been further developed. The adventure begins with the title track's powerful and sombre choruses and orchestra. In the vast sea of female-fronted Symphonic Metal outfits, "Vinland Saga" made quite a splash. It is a lush, gorgeous, ideally structured, haunting concept album that perfectly captures the Scandinavian spirit with its blend of folk-tinged songs, choral pieces and heavyweight beauty-and-the-beast numbers. It is right up there with the very best of the genre, like Within Temptation's "Mother Earth" and Nightwish's "Dark Passion Play".

Debut full-length album by the legendary British Hard Rock/Bluese/Heavy Metal band.
Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric Blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar Rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the band's attack was subtlety: it wasn't just an onslaught of guitar noise, it was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos. As Led Zeppelin proves, the band was capable of such multi-layered music from the start. Although the extended Psychedelic Blues of "Dazed and Confused", "You Shook Me" and "I Can't Quit You Baby" often gather the most attention, the remainder of the album is a better indication of what would come later. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" shifts from Folky verses to pummeling choruses; "Good Times Bad Times" and "How Many More Times" have Groovy, Bluesy shuffles; "Your Time Is Gonna Come" is an anthemic Hard Rocker; "Black Mountain Side" is pure English Folk; and "Communication Breakdown" is a frenzied Rocker with a nearly Punkish attack. Although the album isn't as varied as some of their later efforts, it nevertheless marked a significant turning point in the evolution of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal!
Although the album initially received negative reviews, it was commercially very successful and has now come to be regarded in a much more positive light by critics. In 2003, the album was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. When Rolling Stone updated the list in 2012 the album remained ranked at 29th greatest of all time!!

The famous reunion concert of the legendary Hard Rock/Blues/Heavy Metal band.
On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London’s O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band’s signature Blues-infused Rock ’n’ Roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin. Founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, to perform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks “Whole Lotta Love”, “Rock And Roll”, “Kashmir” and “Stairway To Heaven”...
Although 20 million people applied for tickets, the band’s first headline show in 27 years was seen only by the 18,000 ticket holders who were fortunate enough to have secured seats through the worldwide lottery.
The film of "Celebration Day saw a worldwide theatrical release by Omniverse Vision on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on October 17.
Contrary to popular perception, Led Zeppelin isn't exactly averse to reunions. If anything, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant can't keep away from each other. Just four years after John Bonham's 1980 death, Page laid down guitar on Robert Plant's oldies act the Honeydrippers, and not long after that, John Paul Jones joined the pair for a performance at 1985's Live Aid Festival. That set was trashed by the public and band alike, as was their subsequent 1988 appearance at Atlantic Records' 40th Anniversary celebration, but despite these lackluster gigs, rumors of a full-fledged reunion continued to circulate well into the new millennium, even after Page & Plant recorded a pair of albums in the mid-'90s, a project that caused tension with Jones, who was unaware of the collaboration until its release. Eventually, all the bad blood cooled and the trio once again reunited, this time with Bonham's son Jason on drums, for a full-fledged set as the headliners for the 2007 Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert. Five years later, this reunion was finally released as "Celebration Day", a live album available either as 2CD set, letting the world at large experience what was roundly and rightly acclaimed as a near-perfect reunion.
"Celebration Day" is an ideal coda for Led Zeppelin, proof that the band's skills only deepened with age. Never once does the band sound as if they're grasping at re-creating their youth; they've selected a set Heavy on Blues, atmosphere, and hits, songs that allow each member, including Jason Bonham, to stretch out and casually flaunt his skills. Plant may no longer be able to reach the soaring highs he did in the '70s, but his lowered range gives "Black Dog" and "The Song Remains the Same" gravity, and helps give "Trampled Under Foot" a gut-level punch. Page still can muff a note or two, so can the band, actually, with Plant missing a line on the opening "Good Times Bad Times", a mistake that's thankfully left uncorrected, but his imagination is unchained, and, when compared to the Page/Plant records of the '90s, it becomes clear how much Jones contributed to the band's chemistry, lending it grit and funk ("Misty Mountain Hop" grooves more than any song without bass should), deepening and coloring Page's riffs, letting the band bounce out and return to center. All of this unique chemistry is evident on "Celebration Day", underscored ever so slightly by the presence of Jason Bonham, the son of the king who now seems like the only possible heir to the throne, emphasizing that the band is a family affair, and while this reunion is so unexpectedly, impossibly good that you'd want to experience this in the flesh, it also underscores the wisdom of leaving this as a one-time thing. This is so good that this is how you want to remember them: older, perhaps wiser, and still majestic!!
Album debuted on the Billboard 200 at ninth place. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), "Celebration Day" was the 13th global best-selling album of 2012 with sales of 1.8 million copies. It's won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, and the rendition of "Kashmir" featured on the album was nominated for the award for Best Rock Performance.

First European remastered re-release of the fifth full-length studio album by legendary British Blues/Hard Rock band.
The album represents a turning point in musical direction for the band, who had begun to record songs with more layering and production techniques, in contrast to the simpler Rock music heard on earlier albums. The album benefited from several band members installing studios at home, which allowed them to develop more sophisticated songs and arrangements, and expand their musical style.
Houses of the Holy follows the same basic pattern as "Led Zeppelin IV", but the approach is looser and more relaxed. Jimmy Page's riffs rely on ringing; Folky hooks as much as they do on thundering Blues Rock, giving the album a lighter, more open atmosphere. While the pseudo-Reggae of "D'Yer Mak'er" and the affectionate James Brown send-up "The Crunge" suggest that the band was searching for material, they actually contribute to the musical diversity of the album. "The Rain Song" is one of Zeppellin's finest moments, featuring a soaring string arrangement and a gentle, aching melody. "The Ocean" is just as good, starting with a heavy, Funky guitar groove before slamming into a cappella section and ending with a swinging, doo wop-flavored rave-up. With the exception of the rampaging opening number, "The Song Remains the Same", the rest of "Houses Of The Holy" is fairly straightforward, ranging from the foreboding "No Quarter" and the strutting Hard Rock of "Dancing Days" to the epic Folk/Metal fusion "Over the Hills and Far Away". Throughout the record, the band's playing is excellent, making the eclecticism of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant's songwriting sound coherent and natural.
Several songs subsequently became fixtures in the band's live set, including "The Song Remains the Same", "The Rain Song" and "No Quarter". Other material recorded at the sessions, including the title track, was shelved and released on the later albums "Physical Graffiti" and "Coda".
In 1974, the album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Album Package. The cover was rated #6 on VH1's 50 Greatest Album Covers in 2003.
Although critical response was mixed, "Houses Of The Holy" became a commercial success and topped the UK charts, and spent 39 weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, including two weeks at number one (their longest stint since Led Zeppelin III). It was later certified 11x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1999. In 2012, the album was ranked at #148 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
