The debut full-length album by Ukrainian Melodic Death Metal band.
Melodic tunes of the guitars, attractive combination of scream and growl, driving skull-crushing rhythms of the drums, well combined melodics and hardness – that’s all Red Hills were able to unite at their debut full-length album.
Both problems of the whole society and problems facing a certain man are well narrated in the band’s lyrics. What will be our future in the days of moral chaos, lie and hate?
Donetsk’ metallers will dip you into a chain of driving musical events and make you think about the meaning of our life.
Album was recorded at TA Production and produced by Anton Vorozhtsov (Hell:On and Ungrace guitarist).
The design of 12-page booklet made by Russian art-studio Project Mayhem widely known for its work with such bands as: Amatory, Arcana Imperia, Aruna Azura, Dimicandum, Fatal Error, Icon In Me, Illidiance, Lethargia, StalWart, Ungrace etc.

The third full-length studio album by Canadian Death/Thrash Metal band.
Riotor's third album is no other than a re-recorded version of their second album, "Rusted Throne", with a new vocalist Mikalcoholic and a new mastering.
Re-recording a whole album is a tricky move for every band. Whether it's one trying to prove they're still young (Diamond Head, Flotsam & Jetsam), one wanting to soften the distrust towards their new member (Exodus), or one who just can't sleep at night knowing that one detail on their album doesn't work (Meshuggah), one thing for sure is that the audience will rarely welcome them with open arms. Riotor fell somewhere between the latter two categories when, in 2017, amazingly decided to re-record their two-years-old LP "Rusted Throne" from 2015. Bassist Mikalcoholic stepped in behind the mic, so original screamer Ismarevil is, at last, comfortably resting his uvula...
Where does "Cursed Throne" differ? Besides the fact that the closer "Triumph of Sorrow" is absent for some reason, and this version includes a new mastering which emphasizes the old-school sound even more (absolute plus), the obvious difference is the voice, which is a more standard Black/Death-oriented rasp (think of a cross between names such as Okkulto and K.K. Warslut). So, it's depends on you which version you prefer to listen. Probably, for the start, better to check both...

Debut full-length album by Italian Thrash Metal band.
When you think of Italy you mainly think of Power Metal, but, fortunately, Italy isn’t only about that. Thrash has a big history upon Italian soil and Rising Dark are part of that! Fresh out the Thrash Master class, Italy’s Rising Dark are indeed a dark horse, where this band have been hiding?! This Thrash monster resides somewhere between some of Testament’s greatest output and modern day Onslaught!!
They were formed in 2005, initially covering Metallica songs (now why does that sounds so familiar?) and then begun to write their own material. In 2008 they released their first demo and afterwards did many gigs. “Apocalyptic” is their first full length release, which features seven songs.
The main characteristic of the album is the heavy sound, even in the parts where it isn’t fast. Although it is mainly Thrash Metal the album leans many times towards Power Metal and other times towards Crossover/Trash, with breakdowns and cutting edge riffs. After a nice atmospheric track there is “Armageddon” and here one gets a pretty good picture of what the band is playing: fast tempos, heavy riffs and some nice technical solos. “This is War” is a heavy track with groovy elements, up-tempo but not extremely fast. “The Bofoid” is the longest track, almost eight minutes, and this means room for diversity: many tempo changes, Thrash alternates with Hardcore, clean vocals with brutal and heavy riffs with technical solos (the band definitely has a thing for them). Next , there the realm of Lovecraft, with the song “Yog Sothoth”, that kicks in slowly and atmospherically and continues with clean and brutal vocals (nice clean vocal melodies here). Towards the middle things heat up, but only for a while before the song resumes the initial rhythm. “Your Blood Is On My Hands” is the Thrash-iest song, with, heavy riffs and a fast tempo, almost throughout the album, and a nice guitar solo. The last song, “Phoenix” is a six and a half minute ballad that even it is nice it could have been shorter.
Although “Apocalyptic” doesn’t really offer something new to the Heavy Metal world, it is well played with a nice production and songs that will stick to mind. Rising Dark have all the means of greater releases in the future and you should keep an eye on them!!

The debut full-length album by the Spanish Pagan/Folk/Viking Metal band.
The swords are painted in blood, the barrels are full of beer and the fellow Vikings are singing hymns to Thor!
Runic were formed in 2000 in order to produce something that can be described as Folk Death Metal. In 2001, they released a six-track Demo, "Awaiting The Sound Of The Unavoidable". Their hard work was rewarded with a contract with Massacre Records in October 2005. The result of this contract is "Liar Flags".
Even though Runic have absolutely nothing to do with the race of the mighty Vikings, they managed to release an album that kicks some major Scandinavian ass!!! Their composing skill is more than good, creating nine tracks of pure Pagan Death Metal. If you are a bit into Ensiferum or Finntroll then you know what it is. Everything has been played and structured so good that this record has been given the fresh air it needs. Even the keyboards are used smartly so as to add to the music. The keyboardist is really indispensable to Runic. He knows just where he has to play and exactly what he has to do. Some times making the climate more atmospheric and melancholic, other times starting an all out attack. These Spanish guys really know what a medieval battle looked like!
"Liar Flags" is the best soundtrack a battle could ever have! An aggressive breakthrough by Runic!! Many bands would really beg to release a debut like this one!!! It is a bomb that will explode and won't leave anything alive!!!! Be sure to stand somewhere near!!!!!

Remastered re-release of third full-length studio album by legendary German Heavy/Power/Speed Metal band.
“Under Jolly Roger” was the first album that initially started the age of piracy. This album marks a stylistic turning point in which the band dropped the Satanic imagery they had previously used and adopted the pirate theme they would become known for, creating and influencing a subgenre of Heavy Metal, later (in the 2000s) named a Pirate Metal. The album's title comes from the famous Jolly Roger, the flag used by pirates to identify their ships.
"Under Jolly Roger" is one of the more focused albums in the band's early career. Despite the major turnaround in the concept, the music remained at some point similar to what they wrote for the previous releases, but a bit more variety at the same time. The songs on this album are not complex at all, but quite enjoyable and heavy as hell, even though they lost some aggressiveness, that characterized their earliest years. "Under Jolly Roger" is a great record from start to finish. Solid songwriting and improved production work is precisely what makes this album a huge leap forward for the band. This is a fine transitional album that really displays the band's early brilliant attempt at delivering pirate themed Heavy Metal. Moreover, the incredible musicianship offered by the band remains as another reason to consider getting this album at all costs!
Deluxe Expanded Edition includes foldout booklet with Pirate Map and notes, and second disc with eight bonus tracks.

The fifth full-length studio album by legendary American Thrash Metal band.
First new album in 23 years! Band's first full-length studio album since "Heal" (1996), marking the longest gap between Sacred Reich's studio albums, as well as their first release with guitarist Joey Radziwill, who replaced founding member Jason Rainey right before the recording sessions began.
Twenty-three years after dropping their last full-length, Sacred Reich are returning in force with the towering "Awakening", effortlessly demonstrating that they remain a formidable force in Metal. Showcasing everything a fan would expect and hope for from the Phoenix, Arizona crew, it is a timeless collection comprised of blistering Thrash, crushing grooves, killer solos and socially conscious lyrics that demonstrate a true understanding of everything that matters most in the world today.
By refusing to compromise the sound they developed early on, Sacred Reich have stayed true to both themselves and their message. With hatred and strife on the rise, they have thrown down the gauntlet to take a stand against the narrow mindedness that’s permeating in America. If there ever was a band that needed to return, it’s them. As an album, “Awakening” lives up to its title in every conceivable way. In both content and form. There will always darkness before the dawn, and Sacred Reich provides the soundtrack to a hopeful future.
Behind a steady campaign of mouth-watering riffs and shout-out choruses, these eight tracks rank among the catchiest that the band have ever composed! Thrash Metal is alive and well, and with their latest campaign, so are Sacred Reich!!

First re-release of the second full-length album (the first official) by the cult Israeli Death/Gothic/Doom Metal band.
Salem are pioneers of the oriental Metal movement and of the Israeli Heavy Metal scene. “Kaddish” is one of the first Israeli Rock albums to engage with recent Jewish history and the Holocaust. Most of the lyrics and music deal with political issues concerning the Jewish people and Israel with band's music being a combination of Doom/Death Metal with Oriental elements and high-pitched screaming-vocals.
The band was formed in 1985 along with the newly born extreme Metal scene and soon released two demo tapes "Salem" (1986) and first full-length "Destruction Till Death" (1987). After five years of being Underground, the band released another demo, "Millions Slaughtered" (1990), with mostly live tracks. The demo sold 1,500 copies and led to a record deal with the German label Morbid Records. Their first studio records, mini-album "Creating Our Sins" (1992) and first official full-length "Kaddish" (1994), were released by Morbid Records and became the first Metal albums from Israel to gain worldwide success.
Mayhem`s founder Euronymous offered Salem relocation to Norway and joining their cult. Varg Vikernes (Burzum), who disliked the band ideals thought differently, sent to vocalist Zeev Tananboim an explosive envelope by mail...
"Kaddish" is a concept album about the Holocaust. Song "The Fading" was played on MTV's Headbanger's Balls rotation and had the band elected as one of the ten best up-and-coming bands in the world by MTV and Kerrang! Album also featured a cover song in Hebrew called "Ha'ayara Bo'eret" ("the small town is burning"). The song was originally a poem written in Yiddish by Polish-Jewish poet Mordechai Gebirtig in 1938, in response to the 1936's pogrom of Jews in the town of Przytyk near Radom, Poland.
Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal was a special guest at Salems’s May 6, 2011 “Kaddish” re-release concert at Reading 3, Tel Aviv, Israel. Thal says: "Kaddish" is the most true-to-art Doom Metal album I’ve ever heard, completely capturing the horror of mankind’s utmost vulnerability to evil and self-destruction. Being someone who lost family to the Nazis in Poland, this album tore straight to my soul".
Salem vocalist Zeev Tananboim added: "Kaddish" is our desperate cry in memory of the horrors that happened to our families. The Holocaust followed me all my life as a dark shade which is so scary to look at. By doing this album we dared to look at the face of the horror and send two important messages: We will never forget, and we are here to survive".
Without a doubt band's best album!!
Remastered re-edition features altered track listing and modified album cover. CD’s cover art and design was handled by the band’s guitarist, Nir Gutraiman. The effort was remastered by UE Nastasi at Sterling Sound in New York City.

He explained: "If you take the best song elements from the '80s albums, and put these on one album, you come up with the “Sting in the Tail” album. So in this case we tried to re-invent the Scorpions sound from the '80s, using the same DNA after putting in a modern twist, to make it sound like today's music." The album has a duet featuring the Finnish symphonic metal singer Tarja Turunen, in the song "The Good Die Young".
A tentative title for the album was Humanity: Hour II, however this was eventually scrapped.
First week sales in the United States were 18,500 copies sold placing it at No. 23 on the Billboard 200. In Germany the album debuted at No. 2, but fell in its second week to No. 3, in France at No. 16 and in Greece at No. 1. The album also peaked at Number 2 on the Billboard Rock Charts.
What makes this album so good? The simple fact that every single song on this album Rocks!

The second full-length studio album by Czech Atmospheric Death/Doom Metal band.
The second album of the masters of Atmospheric Doom/Death Metal from Czech has become a new step, presenting a dynamic, yet monolithic, material carefully thought through down to the smallest detail: from sound to arrangements and concept.
Varying stylistics from almost Funeral Doom Metal to Atmospheric Black Metal, with changing tempo and mixture of heavy guitar riffs, with keyboards and different types of male vocals, the musicians achieved a unique integrity, reviving the story told by the album.
This is a concept album with deep lyrics about losing beloved ones and oblivion.
The album was recorded at Hellsound Studio, mixing and mastering was performed by Honza Kapak (Master's Hammer, Krieg, Nargaroth, Panychida). The sixteen-page booklet has conceptual design, complementing the music with visual images. The album comes at a 24-kt Gold-plated CD with Pit-Art.

Second re-release of the fourth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band.
“Arise” considered Sepultura's finest hour among long-time fans. While the music on “Arise” was mostly in the same Death/Thrash style as their previous album, “Beneath The Remains”, it was clear that the Sepultura sound was acquiring an experimental edge. The album presented their first incursions with Industrial music, Hardcore Punk and Latin percussion.
During the 1990–1992 tour (band’s longest at that time tour, totalling 220 shows in 39 different countries), the album went Gold in Indonesia - the band's first music industry certification. By the tour's end, “Arise” had achieved Platinum sales worldwide.
Probably Sepultura's finest hour. An absolute Death/Thrash classic that just gets better with age!
Expanded re-edition Double 180g Vinyl in Gatefold Cover contains ten bonus tracks, including unreleased demos, mixes and live tracks, as well as band's monumental annihilation of Motörhead's "Orgasmatron".

Remastered re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band.
An ultra-classic from one of the most powerful Death/Thrash Metal bands to ever come! This album marked the band's transition from third-world obscurity to major contenders in the international Extreme Metal arena.
As soon as the deceptively gentle acoustic intro gives way to the title track's Thrashing brutality, the listener is propelled at maximum speed and intensity through to the very last crunch of "Primitive Future". In between, Sepultura offer their first bona fide hits with "Inner Self" and the inspired "Stronger Than Hate", featuring lyrics written by Atheist's Kelly Shaefer. It's not over there as they charge ahead with the triple threat of "Mass Hypnosis", "Sarcastic Existence" and "Slaves of Pain", all of which feature mind-blowing solos from guitarist Andreas Kisser, thunderous double-bass work from drummer Igor Cavalera, and the furious howling of singer Max Cavalera.
The complete absence of filler here makes this one of the most essential Death/Thrash Metal albums of all time. This is an album that will strike your heart with memorable tunes that will stick in your mind forever.
A jaw-dropping release and one of the greatest Metal albums of the 80s! Any fan of Thrash Metal should get this album!!

First re-release of the fifth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Death/Thrash Metal band.
This album can be considered very innovative looking back the other releases before it. Comparing this album with the others, it is totally different. The music here is heavily influenced by Discharge but it can be considered a big mix of Hardcore, Thrash, Tribal music and Death Metal. Well, the true Death Metal has a bit (a lot) gone away but some influences can be found in some riffs spread in the album. The tribal influences started with "Arise" album where were used only for the intros, but here we have the explosion of these ones. The atmosphere on this song is strange, in some parts is ritualistic…like early Brazilian music, made by the natives….in this case we can really see what would have been the band's style in the future. Its starts the Sepultura groove period that continued with the following, boring and too tribal influenced “Roots”. “Chaos A.D.” is probably the most mosh-worthy album in the history of Metal. Almost every track here is laden with brutal yet simple pit grooves that are nearly irresistible.
This is the last great Sepultura’s album. Like its two predecessors, “Chaos A.D.” received very positive reviews from music critics, with many commending the album's experimentation and sense of the band coming into their own. AllMusic declared it one of the best Heavy Metal albums of all time. The album was also a commercial success, debuting at #32 on The Billboard 200 and eventually being certified Gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies in the United States.
