The second re-release of the second full-length album by legendary German Speed/Thrash Metal band.
S.D.I.'s debut surprisingly generated a huge cult following mostly due to the definitive love song "I Wanna Fu*k You!", ironically the weakest track on the album and overall one of the band's lesser achievements. Two years later the boys have grown considerably as musicians to the point that the listener may find it hard to believe that this was the same trio who was behind the naive inspired self-titled bash two years earlier. This is so much more advanced that the amazing transformation witnessed can almost be compared to the one experienced by their compatriots Deathrow the same year.
The opener "Coming Again" alone is an encyclopedia of Metal, a Progressive Speed/Thrash piece second to none offering loads of rhythmic shifts and tempo-changes, not to mention the gorgeous bass implements: Reinhard Kruse is a bass virtuoso, the finest bass export from Germany after Helloween's Markus Grosskopf. The latter has also improved his vocal bravado quite a bit now covering a fairly wide range of pitches including several piercing screams, more or less appropriate. Yes, the aforementioned opener is too grandiose to be on Helloween's "Walls of Jericho", Blind Guardian's "Battalions of Fear", Exumer's "Possessed by Fire", Iron Angel's "Winds of War", or even on Paradox's "Heresy"...
The title-track which follows is a total contrast to the brilliant blend of speed and melody encountered before it: it's 3-min of doomy genius, a rousing hymn with another great chorus.
"The Megamosh" is praised in the number of the same title, a pretty straightforward Speedster, the only track which has any ties to the debut music-wise.
Another praiser, this time of our favourite alcohol, logically titled "Alcohol", arrives right after , an entertaining Speed/Thrashing roller-coaster with the staple sing-along chorus and a few nice rhythmic shifts; it would make even the Tankard guys empty their tankards immediately; "Bottoms up!".
"Quick Shot" is the apparent sequel text-wise to "I Wanna..." with a girl moaning throughout, but in the music department we have a far superior Speed/Thrasher with standout bass performance. 
"Always Youth" is still more on the more immediate side, an impetuous headbanger with a nice mid-bridge.
But comes "Long Way from Home" with the adventurous vocal exploits, the steel gallops, the hectic mid-break, the infectious sing-along deviation, and the sudden tempo shifts; blissful stuff contained within mere 3-min.
However, that is not all because soon is the listener exposed to "Killer's Confession", a hard-hitting Shredder with virtuoso lead sections and a breath-taking interlude in the middle followed by an exquisite semi-balladic passage where the interaction between the leads and the bass reaches heights unheard even on the Metallica opuses at the time...
All the way to the closing "Fight" which features the only unmitigated annoyance: a man recites something in Turkish, to these ears totally off-context, before the opening riff tears the ether and continues the vigorous Thrashing until a vitriolic lead section comes splashing later on superseded by a dreamy balladic break again with a somewhat questionable function; the final headbanging passage closes the album after that. Game over.
By far one of the ten best Speed/Thrash Metal releases in German Metal history, and probably worldwide, this album remains arguably the most criminally underrated effort from the European Metal Underground. It really hurts one to see that this talented trio are chiefly remembered for their debut and the love song from there when there was so much more, and much much better music, created less than two years later... Melody and speed have very seldom been blended so well by just three musicians with such a dexterous command of the instruments.
This album is so underrated, it's comparable to anything released by the big name German Speed Metal bands from around the same time, and better than a lot of them!!

The fourth Single by legendary Italian Italo Disco/Pop singer.
"Hot Girl"  was released by Baby Records in November 1987 as the debut album's fourth and final Single. After the enormous success with "Boys (Summertime Love)", the team around Sabrina's manager Menzione tried to score another international hit with a new Single. They chose "Hot Girl", a song from Sabrina's by-then-released first album, and had it remixed for the Single release.
"Hot Girl" was not intended to be marketed in the United Kingdom, as "Boys (Summertime Love)" was re-released in June 1988 after a commercial failure four months earlier, followed by "All of Me (Boy Oh Boy)" in October of the same year. In Continental Europe, it was released in two times: first in the last two months of 1987 in the majority of European countries, then in the first half of 1988 in Spain and France; as a consequence, on the Pan-European Hot 100 Singles chart established by the Music & Media magazine, its 23-week chart trajectory is divided into two segments with a two-month hiatus, including a peak at number 36 in its second week.
Although Sabrina heavily promoted the song (in a Spanish TV show, she danced in such an enthusiastic way that her breasts fell out of her top), the song did not match the success of "Boys (Summertime Love)". The song was a success in France, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands where it was a top 20 hit.
Regarding the national charts, "Hot Girl" peaked within the top ten in Spain where it reached number two, being unable to dislodge Pet Shop Boys' "Always on My Mind" atop, the Flanders part of Belgium and Finland where it attained number six, and the Netherlands where it reached number ten twice. It was a top 20 hit in other three nations: France, where it debuted at number 28 and reached number 12 five weeks later, spending a total of 13 weeks in the top 50, Switzerland where it culminated at number 13, and Germany where it was present for 13 weeks on the national chart with a peak at number 19. In Sabrina's home-country, Italy, it missed the top 20 by one place, peaking at number 21 for two weeks.

Sacred Reich's final full-length studio album with drummer Greg Hall, who left the band in 1991.
As everyone knows, “Surf Nicaragua” showed the fans that Sacred Reich was a Thrash Metal band that wouldn’t stay in the past, that they would evolve as they could to expand limits and aren’t looking for success (even it was coming on those days). The all-out-Thrash Metal was becoming more and more sharpened, and finally in 1990, they released “The American Way”, their second full length, and a surprise for many…
The album shows a musical progression from the all-out Thrash Metal, which dominated their earlier material. It is the fact that the two years between “Surf Nicaragua” and “The American Way” seem to allow the band to mature in terms of melodies and arrangements. It’s far their best arranged release until that moment, polished in many parts, the guitars are really sounding great, the rhythmic work improved a lot, and the vocals are in their best moment. Even some Funk Rock influences can be heard (“31 Flavors”). For the third time, the band co-produced the album, leaving the hard work to the hands of Bill Metoyer in the production. And it’s their best sonority until them, refined and worked in a sober way, balancing the natural aggressiveness of Thrash Metal with a clean aesthetics. This fusion created a sonority that, even today, sounds great. And the presence of Tony Brewster on the trumpet, Will Donato on the saxophone, and Tim Moynahan on the trombone on “31 Flavors” took things to the extreme of Groove/Funk.
As they evolved, Sacred Reich not only became one of the more accessible Thrash Metal units, but also one of the most lyrically compelling. Dark, troubling, and often highly sociopolitical, Reich has a lot to say on this solid effort.
The album debuted at No. 153 on September 1, 1990 on the Billboard 200 charts, lasting for nine weeks.
The video for "The American Way" was used in the 1992 film "Encino Man".
“The American Way” is a divisor on Sared Reih’s career, and their tendency would grow. But as Thrash Metal was losing its commercial space to Grunge and Alternative Rock, things became harder. But this album is still amazing and fresh today. Hear, enjoy and buy it!

The third full-length studio album by British Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band.
Although band was formed in 1979, the year of the NWOBHM uprising, they took quite a long break after releasing a few demos in the 80's and wouldn't come out of the shadows again until 2009, when the band reformed with the same 1983 line-up. After one compilation album of oldies, few EP's and many gigs later, Salem released their first official full-length album "Forgotten Dreams" in 2013. The record was highly praised, and rightly so.
With their third album, band actually do what they did not in the 1980s. The riffs are very nice and totally representative. Salem put down some very good melodies and solos and their ideas are good in general and sometimes original. "Attrition" is an album that will fill you with energy, angst and aggression as well as uplifting your spirit with its lighter moments and never for one second does this record feel like it’s taking its time or lacking substance. The songs are very well structured throughout. The guitar solo is a large admiring point on this album, following the traditional harmonic minor melodies with a lot of modal and interesting harmonies, which again pulls the band away from blending in with other NWOBHM acts and really defining themselves as their own entity.
It’s great when a band gets another chance at breaking into the big time. Especially a band of the caliber of Salem. Having been around since the early days of NWOBHM, it stands to reason that their sound hearkens back to those glorious days, yet they have lifted that sound to the demands of modern Hard Rock. Their legacy has lasted this long, let’s hope their future output can catch up to that legacy.

The second full-length studio album by legendary British Pop singer.
After her debut studio album, "Touch Me", went Gold, Fox returned to the studio to record her eponymous second album. Emerging British super producers Stock Aitken Waterman were enlisted to contribute one track, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now", after her label reportedly became concerned the album did not contain any obvious hits. However, US producers Full Force, who were helping Lisa Lisa at that time, also delivered a top 5 US hit for the album with "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)". The album also spawned the Singles "I Surrender (To the Spirit of the Night)", "I Promise You (Get Ready)", and "True Devotion".
Jim Lea and Noddy Holder (of the English Rock band Slade) wrote and demoed the song "Shooting Me Down" for the album after being approached by Jive Records. However, Fox never recorded the song as there was not enough time to do so before the album's release date.
The album charted at number 22 in the United Kingdom, number 51 in the United States, number 41 in Canada, number 86 in Australia and number 16 in Germany.

The eighth full-length studio solo album by legendary American Hard Rock/Glam Metal musician.
In 1985, Hagar joined Van Halen, and "VOA" was his last solo album until 1987's "I Never Said Goodbye". Around the same time Sammy Hagar joined Van Halen, guitarist Gary Pihl joined Boston.
The title of the album is a reference to the Voice of America broadcast network. Like Hagar himself, VOA is never subtle, but in hard rock, that's a positive attribute. The album features the Single "I Can't Drive 55", Hagar's most successful song as a solo artist.
The album peaked at number 32 on the Billboard 200 album charts on December 15, 1984.

The Single then peaked at number one in Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Finland. It also reached no. 1 on the airplay chart in Germany, as well as the top 5 in Austria. In the pan-European charts, it was a top 10 and a top 20 hit on the airplay and sales charts, respectively.
