In an interview with the Songfacts website, Rudolf Schenker explained that their goal was to update their sound from their classic period in the 1980s. He explained: "If you take the best song elements from the '80s albums, and put these on one album, you come up with the “Sting in the Tail” album. So in this case we tried to re-invent the Scorpions sound from the '80s, using the same DNA after putting in a modern twist, to make it sound like today's music." The album has a duet featuring the Finnish symphonic metal singer Tarja Turunen, in the song "The Good Die Young".
A tentative title for the album was Humanity: Hour II, however this was eventually scrapped.
First week sales in the United States were 18,500 copies sold placing it at No. 23 on the Billboard 200. In Germany the album debuted at No. 2, but fell in its second week to No. 3, in France at No. 16 and in Greece at No. 1. The album also peaked at Number 2 on the Billboard Rock Charts.
What makes this album so good? The simple fact that every single song on this album Rocks!

SEPULTURA & Les Tambours Du Bronx “Metal Veins – Alive At Rock In Rio” /Ltd. Deluxe 2LP; Live/
The first re-release of the third live album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
Sepultura are one of the most successful acts ever to come out of Brazil with global album sales in excess of 30 million and are one of the most important and influential Metal acts of their generation. Celebrating their 30 years of rocking around the world, Sepultura returned to their native Brazil to celebrate and produce their 30 Years Anniversary live album.
In a spectacular performance that finds Sepultura accompanied throughout by the French Industrial percussion group Les Tambours Du Bronx, notorious for beating 225-liter barrels with beech wood bats or even axe handles, the show was recorded from the band’s main stage appearance at the legendary Rock In Rio Festival, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on September 19, 2013. Featuring Sepultura’s most revered tunes, including “Refuse/Resist”, “Territory” and “Roots Bloody Roots”, which sees the audience chanting the entire cut from beginning to end, the sheer volume of sound, percussive enormity and powerful presentation sets, this release apart from any previous Sepultura concert offering to date. By adding the pounding of fourteen drums from Les Tambours Du Bronx, Sepultura’s music is increasingly technical, undoubtedly forcing both bands to remain focused through the entirety of the set. Les Tambours Du Bronx’s tribal intensity proves to be vital, when performing with Sepultura, and provides them an additional aspect to their music.
Musthave to every fan of Sepultura!
Limited Edition to 3000 copies worldwide, Deluxe numbered Double White & Red Vinyl in gatefold cover.

Second re-release of the fourth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band.
“Arise” considered Sepultura's finest hour among long-time fans. While the music on “Arise” was mostly in the same Death/Thrash style as their previous album, “Beneath The Remains”, it was clear that the Sepultura sound was acquiring an experimental edge. The album presented their first incursions with Industrial music, Hardcore Punk and Latin percussion.
During the 1990–1992 tour (band’s longest at that time tour, totalling 220 shows in 39 different countries), the album went Gold in Indonesia - the band's first music industry certification. By the tour's end, “Arise” had achieved Platinum sales worldwide.
Probably Sepultura's finest hour. An absolute Death/Thrash classic that just gets better with age!
Expanded re-edition Double 180g Vinyl in Gatefold Cover contains ten bonus tracks, including unreleased demos, mixes and live tracks, as well as band's monumental annihilation of Motörhead's "Orgasmatron".

First re-release of the fifth full-length album by the legendary Brazilian Death/Thrash Metal band.
This album can be considered very innovative looking back the other releases before it. Comparing this album with the others, it is totally different. The music here is heavily influenced by Discharge but it can be considered a big mix of Hardcore, Thrash, Tribal music and Death Metal. Well, the true Death Metal has a bit (a lot) gone away but some influences can be found in some riffs spread in the album. The tribal influences started with Arise album where were used only for the intros, but here we have the explosion of these ones. The atmosphere on this song is strange, in some parts is ritualistic…like early Brazilian music, made by the natives….in this case we can really see what would have been the band's style in the future. Its starts the Sepultura groove period that continued with the following, boring and too tribal influenced “Roots”. “Chaos A.D.” is probably the most mosh-worthy album in the history of Metal. Almost every track here is laden with brutal yet simple pit grooves that are nearly irresistible.
This is the last great Sepultura’s album. Like its two predecessors, “Chaos A.D.” received very positive reviews from music critics, with many commending the album's experimentation and sense of the band coming into their own. AllMusic declared it one of the best heavy metal albums of all time. The album was also a commercial success, debuting at #32 on The Billboard 200 and eventually being certified Gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies in the United States.
The original version included a hidden bonus at the end of "Clenched Fist" in the form of laughter outtakes from "We Who Are Not As Others", increasing the length of track 12 to 8:01. An American pressing on Epic separates the laughter outtakes to a 13th track lasting 2:01.

First remastered re-release of the sixth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band.
First, this is not Thrash. No one is disputing this but apparently, this causes a lot of distress for Sepultura fans who only like the "real" Sepultura i.e. pre “Chaos A.D.” era. A change in direction can be the best, worst or most indifferent thing that can happen to a band. In Sepultura's case it was the best. The guitars are tuned low and are heavily distorted. Igor's drumming is at its best and while replacing the sometimes-monotonous Thrash drumming style with a more Groove orientated sound, it's no less impressive. So, the lyrics are, not the most poetic or sophisticated but that's Max and his passion when singing them makes up for the lack of sophistication. Above all else, though, what makes this album so amazing is that it really is the most Brazilian, any Brazilian band has sounded. Heavy Metal is not a Brazilian invention but of course Metal is for everyone worldwide and like the world itself, it is varied and unique depending on where it comes from, or at least it should be. When you listen to "Roots", there is little doubt where this album originates from. Some may call it a cheap attempt to cash in on some exotic sound but others strongly disagree. Sepultura was the only band to have the balls to heavily lace their music with sounds and language of their native country and bands should do it more often. Why do we expect bands from different places to all sound the same? Why do we expect them to all sing in English? There are so many fascinating sounds from so many different cultures around the world and many of those would fit into Metal. While it certainly isn't the fastest or Thrashiest of Sepultura's albums, it's the most interesting, dynamic, coolest sounding and great!

First re-release of the eleventh full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
The second concept album released by Sepultura, following 2006's "Dante XXI", which was based on Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy". And it's the first album featuring drummer Jean Dolabella, since the departure of Igor Cavalera in 2006.
"A-Lex" lyrics inspired by Anthony Burgess' book "A Clockwork Orange", which was the basis for the Stanley Kubrick film. And, the impressive thing is that Sepultura pull this off without sounding either geeky or pretentious. For all its intellect, this album doesn't sacrifice anything when it comes to intensity; this is a vicious, loud sledgehammer of an album, and the kids in the moshpit will have no problem connecting with Alternative Metal scorchers like "Filthy Rot", "The Treatment", "Paradox", and "Forceful Behavior" on a gut level.
There was a time when the idea of Sepultura recording without Max Cavalera (their former lead singer) seemed unthinkable; Cavalera played a vital role on pre-Green albums such as 1991's "Arise" and 1993's "Chaos A.D.". But, the incendiary Green turned out to be a fine replacement after Cavalera left Sepultura to form Soulfly in 1996, and he certainly helps bassist Paulo Jr., guitarist Andreas Kisser, and drummer Jean Dolabella get the job done nicely on "A-Lex". Personnel changes can have a very negative effect on a band, but Sepultura have maintained their vitality all these years -- and that vitality is alive and well on the superb "A-Lex".
"A-Lex" sold 5,000 copies in its first week of release in Brazil and 1,600 in its first week of release in the United States. It was considered by the Brazilian edition of Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 25 Brazilian albums of 2012.

First re-release of the sixth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
Band's first release with new frontman Derrick Green, who replaced founder Max Cavalera in 1997.
Like "Roots" that preceded it, the album has a variety of guest musicians and incorporates tribal influences – Japanese percussion elements are added with the assistance of Japanese taiko group Kodo.
"Against" was a commercial disappointment compared to "Roots", selling only 18,000 copies its first week in the US. It has sold over 130,000 copies in the United States. The band supported Metallica in the latter's May 1999 tour in Brazil.
"Against" marked the beginning of a trio of Alternative Groove/Hardcore hybrids which made the band lose basically 75% of its then-current active fanbase. "Against" is unrivalled, nobody will ever make an album like this again. This is like nothing else, nobody has the courage (or faintest hint of interest, rather) to try and replicate the approach this album takes. This is one of the most recognizable records the Metal scene will ever lay its eyes upon. This album constantly makes you forget how simple it is, the unusual progression of songs is unlike anything you've heard and will hear. The guitar rarely plays a riff/lead one can't headbang to, and that instead of technically impressive and complex leads is more than accepted because this album seemingly doesn't need any of that to be as effective as it is now. The drumming also isn't very impressive, Igor does his job of delivering a drum performance that does what it’s supposed to do, but it's not anything more than very fitting for the album itself.
So yeah, "Against" represents the peak of a band having found an identity of its own and making the best use imaginable of it. There are loads of albums that are different and unusual in how they sound. But "Against" is different. This is all that the genre "Alternative Metal" stands for, it's so god-damn effective in just how Alternative it is that it's by far one of the most memorable pieces of music. Love it or hate it, this is "Against", one of the best albums the Metal scene will ever bring forth!

Expanded Edition re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Thrash/Death Metal band.
An ultra-classic from one of the most powerful Death/Thrash Metal bands to ever come! This album marked the band's transition from third-world obscurity to major contenders in the international Extreme Metal arena.
As soon as the deceptively gentle acoustic intro gives way to the title track's Thrashing brutality, the listener is propelled at maximum speed and intensity through to the very last crunch of "Primitive Future". In between, Sepultura offer their first bona fide hits with "Inner Self" and the inspired "Stronger Than Hate", featuring lyrics written by Atheist's Kelly Shaefer. It's not over there as they charge ahead with the triple threat of "Mass Hypnosis", "Sarcastic Existence" and "Slaves of Pain", all of which feature mind-blowing solos from guitarist Andreas Kisser, thunderous double-bass work from drummer Igor Cavalera, and the furious howling of singer Max Cavalera.
The complete absence of filler here makes this one of the most essential Death/Thrash Metal albums of all time. This is an album that will strike your heart with memorable tunes that will stick in your mind forever.
A jaw-dropping release and one of the greatest Metal albums of the 80s! Any fan of Thrash Metal should get this album!!

First re-release of the tenth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
Hardly any other band has represented Brazil in Metal for so long and with so much class as Sepultura. Formed in 1984, Sepultura are arguably Brazil’s biggest music export, having enjoyed huge global success throughout their career to date.
"Dante XXI" is a concept album based on the three sections of Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy": Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso. This is the last album to feature Igor Cavalera on drums. The album was originally titled "Dante 05", but was changed when it became clear that the album would not be released by the end of 2005. The first single from the album was "Convicted In Life". A video for the song was released in 2006, and it won the MTV VMB Best Editing in a Video Award that year. In January 2008 the band released a music video for the song "Ostia".
Despite mostly positive reviews, sales of the album were disappointing and continued the decrease in sales of Sepultura's albums since "Against", selling only 2,300 copies in the first week of release in the US. "Dante XXI" has sold 120.000+ copies worldwide as of January 2, 2008 and went Gold in Brazil and Cyprus (their first music industry certification outside of Brazil since "Roots").
Without a doubt, one of Sepultura's strongest releases with Green on vocals!

For the first time on vinyl, the eighth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
The first release in three years from Sepultura, which is fronted for the second time out by new vocalist Derrick Green, who replaced founding vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera, after six previous studio efforts. This time around, his vocal styling and melody lines play an integral part in the songwriting (on "Against", he merely came in and sang what the rest of the band had written), and there's a renewed sense of confidence and cohesion in both, his performance and those of guitarist Andreas Kisser, drummer Igor Cavalera and bassist Paulo (Jr.) Pinto.
As a result, "Nation" features material such as "Sepulnation" and "Border Wars" that holds up well next to their best efforts on albums like "Chaos A.D." and the 1996 masterpiece, "Roots". Likewise, the band continues to expand their own artistic borders by seeking out new musical combinations, whether with dub wizard Dr. Israel on "Tribe to A Nation" or the Finnish string quartet Apocalyptica on "Valtio". The album also features guest appearances from artists such as Hatebreed singer Jamey Jasta, Dead Kennedys singer Jello Biafra, Ill Niño singer Cristian Machado, as well as Ratos de Porão frontman João Gordo.
According to the official site, a video for "One Man Army" was scheduled to be filmed at the end of August 2001. However, due to a lack of support from Roadrunner Records, the video was never made. Sepultura blamed Roadrunner Records for not promoting the album and left for SPV Records in 2002.
The album received better reviews than "Against", but sold fewer copies. As of April 2002, “Nation” has sold over 55 700 copies in the U.S. and went gold in Brazil.

The first re-release of the fifteenth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
A concept album based on numerology, the number four and its significance as depicted on Quadrivium.
Sepultura has "enjoyed" a very spotty reputation among fans since the late 1990s, when founding vocalist Max Cavalera left and was replaced by Derrick Green. After all, their first six albums (especially the trilogy that began with "Schizophrenia" and ended with 1991's "Chaos A.D.") are universally regarded as definitive Thrash Metal offerings. Later outings were saturated in Groove Metal or so experimental listeners had a tough time hanging on. But Sepultura issued some fine records during the Green era, including "The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart" (2013) and "Machine Messiah" (2017), which are both fine records in their own rights.
"Quadra", like its 2017 predecessor, expresses the delineated nature of society and the power of money. The album is so titled because its 12 songs are divided into four groups of three songs each. Each grouping showcases a different aspect of the band's musical persona. Exquisitely produced by Jens Bogren, its first section offers the band at its most aggressive in a short set of Thrash Metal. The second quarter of "Quadra" hearkens back to more rhythmic, Groove-Metal-oriented albums such as 1996's "Roots". Andreas Kisser's nylon-string guitar playing introduces “Guardians of the Earth”, before a layered choir begins chanting in the backdrop as a precursor to the first verse. This is Sepultura at their most Experimental and Progressive, born out by the knotty scalar inventions on "The Pentagram" and the detuned roil and burn power riffs on "Autem". Introduced by the brief interlude of a title track, the final section pursues more melodic, less aggressive Prog Metal. It features gorgeously layered acoustic and electric guitars, ghostly female vocals, and even elements of Symphonic Metal. Choirs, synth strings, and Jazz syncopation - all these you can find here.
"Quadra" is Sepultura's first album to actually stand on equal qualitative footing with their classic trilogy. It offers a series of tough, meaty, adventurous songs, that abundantly indulge raw power and emotion. Bogren's production and Sepultura's execution are in perfect balance. Further, Green delivers a career-defining performance here. It is the first Sepultura album in decades to measure favourably alongside the band’s classic output.
The album is the band's most successful record since 1998's "Against", charting in 17 countries and entering the top 20 in seven countries (eight, considering the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart). It is also their most successful album in Germany and Switzerland to date, exceeding the chart positions of "Roots" (1996), with positions number five and number 13, respectively.
The website Collector's Room included "Quadra" on the top 50 Brazilian Metal albums of all time. Metal Hammer Magazine named it the 30th best Metal album of 2020. At the 2020 Metal Storm Awards, the album won a Metal Storm Award for Best Thrash Metal Album.

The sixteenth full-length studio album by legendary Brazilian Groove/Thrash Metal band.
Serving as a halfway house between a live album and a studio recording, this album is unique in this regard due to the circumstances of its creation.
After releasing their "Quadra" album in February 2020, Sepultura had their momentum halted by the pandemic. Refusing to stay stagnant and put the band on hold, they started a weekly livestream to engage with fans and talk to some of their closest fellow musicians. Without any intentions to do so, the "SepulQuarta" livestream event started to take form as a collection of tracks with special guests that were recorded live every Wednesday. The resulting series of collaborations across the year, all recorded from their homes, has led to a new Sepultura album of old songs. "Sepulquarta" is a compilation in which the band revisit their back catalogue and songs from "Quadra", with a little help from their friends.
As for the tracklist itself, it’s a mix of the band’s most iconic tracks, some slightly deeper cuts and one cover. The crucial part of this album’s appeal is its collection of guests featured on every single track that joined the band throughout the course of 2020. Whilst there isn’t anything necessarily game-changing here on these re-recorded versions, the guests do provide a reason to go back and celebrate the career of Sepultura to this point, especially after the well-received release of "Quadra". Some of the biggest thrills are provided by some A-list guest guitarists and vocalists, with the likes of Devin Townsend, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Matt Heafy (Trivium), David Ellefson (ex- Megadeth), Phil Rind (Sacred Reich) and Phil Campbell (Motörhead), breathing plenty of life into their spots. What works so well about the guests that are featured is that they feel at home on the tracks whilst adding some extra personality and distinctive flavour.
For Sepultura fans, this record should be seen as a moment of indulgence. Instead of staying quiet throughout the pandemic until they could tour their February 2020 release, they’ve come away with this snapshot of the year they’ve been through with something very positive to show for it. It is at its core a collection of songs from the band’s back catalogue that fits somewhere in between a live and studio album. On the other hand, in its own unique way, this is a record that could have only come out in the previous year. With the album’s creation being entirely unintentional, it symbolizes coming together and has joy and fun right at its core. This makes "SepulQuarta" mean more than just an assortment of re-recorded songs, even if that is literally, what it is.

SHANIA TWAIN “The First Time…For The Last Time” /Ltd. 2LP/
For the first time on vinyl, this album is the collection of early recordings by the Country/Pop/Rock superstar. The album was recorded a few years before her commercial breakthrough.
Eilleen "Shania" Twain is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She has sold over 100 million records, making her the best-selling female artist in country music history and among the best-selling music artists of all time.
Collection of demos a then-unknown Shania Twain recorded in the late 1980s and early 1990s for Canadian label Limelight Records. Written in collaboration with Los Angeles producer Paul Sabu, the songs here are not Country music, but rather well-crafted, energetically performed Pop/Rock fare.
Though the production is often dated (particularly on the cruise-ship-dance-party-sounding “For the Love of Him” and the Laura Branigan-esque “It’s Alright), the tracks definitely offer repeated glimpses of Twain’s superstar potential. There are even a few Country-tinged numbers (“Bite My Lip”, “Luv Eyes”) that presage Twain and Mutt Lange’s multi-platinum Nashville/Arena Rock hybrids.
From 1999 onwards, demo recordings Shania Twain made for Limelight Records approximately ten years prior were licensed to a number of budget labels internationally and released under various titles, artwork and track order, sometimes including one or two dance mixes.
Though recordings contained herein have been made available in several other forms, this package goes the extra mile by offering both the original recordings and significantly re-mixed/remastered versions on two different discs.
Limited Edition 180 g Red Marble Vinyl in gatefold cover features lost photos, poster, restored liner notes and lyric sheet.
