With their first album, CIRCLE STORY delivers some high quality material that features a bunch of hit potential songs. This eleven-track opus is all about variety. Of course in a good way. You can obviously hear some Grunge influences plus some low-tuned and 7-string riffing here and there. Catchy vocal melodies that won't go away after you stop listening, monumental arrangement with strings and keyboards and tasty guitar playing - that's also what the CIRCLE STORY debut contains.
With some Progressive twist that is present on some tracks, the band sounds like GOJIRA meets DREAM THEATER on some Modern Rock radio territory, which is also not bad at all. It is very hard to label this band, to tag this band. If you compare their music to fine arts - "Uncovered Fears" will be like canvas of many colors, hanging in a darkened room. It has everything good Rock or Metal album should have - arena choruses with well-thought-out guitars and rythm section. At a time when mediocrity pervades the music industry through and through, "Uncovered Fears" is a true gem to listen to. With its sincerity, deep emotion and immensity it should satisfy even the most picky listener.
Accompanied with a beautiful 12-paged booklet, featuring some interesting artwork by the designer Pablo Antonoff, this CD becomes a great option for the fans of ALTER BRIDGE, ALICE IN CHAINS, GOJIRA, STONE SOUR, KATATONIA, MASTODON. Progheads shouldn't be disappointed too!

Limited Edition release of the first live album by cult American Heavy/Doom Metal band.
Cirith Ungol was formed in 1971, just one year after Black Sabbath released their self-titled debut kickstarting the genre. Taking influence from Progressive and the Hard Rock, as well as the burgeoning Metal scene along the way, the band formed a powerful sound, one that inspired myriad musicians. Cirith Ungol have always been their own animal with a heady brew of Fantasy-inspired lyrics and gripping Metal. They have a certain niche carved alongside acts like Pagan Altar and Manilla Road - true pioneers of pure and true Heavy Metal.
When the band released their first album, “Frost And Fire”, in 1981, they benefitted from the nascent NWOBHM movement.  As the decade progressed, though, it was as if Metal split into two distinct and opposite directions with the MTV crowd at one end and the other occupied by heavier bands.  After having a difficult relationship with their label, Restless Records, the band split up in 1992. Thankfully, though, they reunited in 2016 and have been hard at work since playing festivals across North America and Europe.
“I’m Alive” was recorded live 27.05.2017 at Up The Hammers Festival, Athens, Greece. At twenty-two tracks, this is an album well worth its price tag. The production is thoroughly live with little to no evidence of any major studio fixes or tricks. Tonally, the guitar is pure, undiluted overdriven Marshall JCM800, the staple of the ‘80s. It is a thick sound with plenty of girth and Metallic rage. The drums are captured with a very lively sound, solid and organic. Tim Baker’s vocals are as lethal as ever as he still rules over the microphone like a despotic ancient warlord from a Robert E. Howard or Michael Moorcock story.  Weatherby’s bass sounds huge. Though not particularly overindulgent, it is an articulate sound with plenty of presence that never gets buried in the mix. Few bands can really pull something like that off without sounding over-busy but Cirith Ungol are veterans, certainly members of the Heavy Metal elite! Cirith Ungol were essentially paving the way for bands like Iced Earth and their collaboration with Todd McFarland on “The Dark Saga”.  Everything about this album speaks to the professional aspect of the band. Because of that vital experience in the business, the band understands well what the fans want and caters to them particularly the die-hards. If you can find this for a decent price on vinyl - buy it!  It is not only a solid investment, but genuine Heavy Metal magic!!

Re-release of the debut and only full-length album by Mexican Technical Groove/Death Metal band.
Hailing from Mexico, Cirrosis is another in a long line of high-quality Death Metal bands flowing like poisoned wine from that country. Like all of their Deathy brethren, Cirrosis play a punishingly Brutal style of Death Metal, obviously worshipping at the throne of classic-years Sepultura, with a mix of modern day Morbid Angel thrown in to spice up the mix. However, unlike most of their more popular contemporaries, Cirrosis’ lyrics are sung entirely in Spanish. Then again, it’s not like that affects the listening experience, as Luis Osuna’s vocals are unintelligible anyway!
“Fariseos” opens up the album in fiery fashion, the band not wasting any time proving that they are indeed brutal. The guitar solo in “Tu Ultima Blasfemia” provides some cool melodic moments in what is otherwise a heavy, decidedly non-melodic song. “Regeneracion” is almost Prog-like in length, and is basically a Progressive song done Death Metal style. Pretty cool stuff, which thankfully shows that Cirrosis can indeed write excellent original material!
Cirrosis has the tools in place to break out on their own – they’re talented and show flashes of that talent within Reciclando…. Killer!

The debut full-length album by Swedish Heavy/Thrash Metal band.
While the Scandinavians have been renowned for pushing the boundaries in terms of Extreme Metal genres such as Black and Death Metal, their interpretation of Thrash Metal has often been lackadaisical and unimaginative.
Claimed For Damage’s "Black Ghost" is a badass slab of ‘heavy duty’ Scandinavian Metal. This album got a production of impressive quality, heavy and stomping, and the band sounds good. The instrumental performances are clean and clinical (as is the production). Michael Andersson's vocals are nondescript at best.
Claimed For Damage got it technically right, the world needs more bands like this!

The third and farewell full-length album by Czech Alternative Folk Rock band.
Clawed Forehead was a band from Brno in the Czech Republic (with members from Slovakia and Iran as well), they was active since 2006. The band worked over two years on the material for this album but unfortunately, main composer Kuba finally left the band so this album is their last one and the remaining members will continue making music under a new moniker.
The band's original idea was to create something different to the well-known styles and of course something unique. And they managed to do so. Their style can be described as a mixture of Folk Rock or Alternative Rock with Celtic elements and elements of World Music. Those who expect a Metal release could be a bit disappointed but open-minded listeners who like Folk Rock/Metal with female vocals should definitely give this album a listen.
The band uses instruments like violins, violoncellos and additional instruments like flutes to create a somehow medieval or celtic mood. If you know the band Schandmaul and their style is quite close to Clawed Forehead.
Surely, a lot of bands move in that genre but this band and their creative head also offer the necessary songwriting skills to create really good songs as only extraordinary instruments do not make a good album. The twelve tracks offer an enjoyable nice trip into another world and the album is the perfect soundtrack after watching the Hobbit trilogy.
The production is fine and clear and the songs really grow from spin to spin as well as the voice of their vocalist. Normally, bands with that style mostly overdo it and spoil their possibilities but Clawed Forehead managed a good balance and create quite enjoyable tracks. A nice taster is their track "Falcon".
It is sad that this good album is their last one but having members spreaded over three countries makes it difficult to keep a band running even these days...

The second full-length album by Bulgarian Symphonic Death/Black Metal band.
Progressive Modern Black Metal sound mixed with some more old school Tradition Black Metal sounds. These guys sound like they come from a cold mountain region in the middle of nowhere and all there is to do is create some amazing music. Their sound reminds of something you would listen to if you wanted to watch the battle between the Orcs and the other entire human like species in "The Lord Of The Rings". They have that cold dark and gritty feeling of the land of Hoth in "Star Wars" meets the dark evil and spooky worlds in the lands throughout Middle Earth in "The Lord Of The Rings". The Symphonic and Epic sound gives of this vibe a lot. There are some Orchestrated parts mixed with Progressive and Melodic parts along with some all-out brutal and dingy parts. 
Claymore has a little bit of everything you would come to love in Black Metal music. They are able to bring it all together and manipulate it into a majestic and adventurous style. These guys were almost like if the Power/Epic/Progressive Metal band 
Rhapsydy had merged with the Symphonic/Black Metal band Dimmu Borgir and created an amazing journey for the listeners to take. Claymore has taken two very well know genres with some highly talented bands in each and created their own style and sound and have climb to the top of Mount Doom and have proven that they are as strong, talented and if not better than the majority of the bands in their genres. One Hell of an Epic adventure that you would want to enjoy over and over again!!

The guys' playing skills are obvious on fast and furious speedsters like "Cobra", "Night Hunter", "Ataque Metal" and "Guerrero Speed." Then again, a mid-tempo song like "Exceso de Alcohol", is pure Heavy Metal, featuring, as all the songs do, Mario's amazing solo work. Adrian's raspy and screeching vocal style fits into the band's style like an armored fist fits into your ugly mouth.
Beyond doubt “Grito en el Abismo” is a really strong debut release in the flooding of new albums. The key to the success is their Metal feel to write pretty catchy and memorable songs. And what is more, this is not a retro record, it is a way different from all these Thrashing Blackers or Raw sounding pseudobands "reminding" of "old days of Metal". The album is coherent, all the elements (music, production, lyrics, even pictures from the booklet, you know, leathers and spikes rules!) create one inseparable unit. Musical characteristics, that contribute to the album's multi-layering and grandiosity, include fast tempos (in contrast to the 2 previous albums), dynamic drum patterns, distorted guitar riffs, and driving bass-lines.
The album contains twelve tracks and an additional hidden track, "Til Kingdom Come". It is omitted from the track listing on the album sleeve, but listed as "+" on the disc label and inside the album booklet. It was originally planned for American country star Johnny Cash to record it with lead singer Chris Martin, but Cash died before he was able to do so.
Development of the album was often troubled; the album's original producer, British record producer Ken Nelson, was supposed to produce much of the album, however, many songs written during their sessions were ditched due to the band's dissatisfaction.
The album spawned the Singles "Speed of Sound", "Fix You", "Talk", "The Hardest Part", "What If", and "White Shadows". The album's cover art is a combination of colors and blocks, which is a representation of the Baudot code.
It was a significant commercial success, reaching the top spot of many charts worldwide, including the United Kingdom and United States, being Coldplay's first album to top the US chart. With accumulated sales of 8.3 million units in 2005 alone, "X&Y" was the best-selling music album released in 2005. The album has sold over 13 million copies worldwide.

Debut full-length album by Turkish Progressive Metal band, with Turkish music influences.
The likes of Dream Theater and Fates Warning come to mind when listening to this album, but somehow these songs lack the certain accessibilty of those two bands. The songs have more than a few tempo changes, and you can never be sure what to expect. They may start like ballads, but halfway there they might turn into furious Metal numbers. The whole album might be a bit too hard to digest for the AOR purists, but if you enjoy the Progressive Metal of today, you must to check this band out!!

The debut full-length album by Italian Instrumental Rock/Fusion/Funk/Blues Metal band.
This band is a bit different from other Metal bands. This one is about a Metal-driven (or at least Rock-driven) effort to narrow the gap with other; let's say more "exotic" music genres.
This totally instrumental and above all honest attempt in mild-melding the listener contains elements borrowing from Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, Funk and even Jazz. It's up to you to decide whether you'll be receptive to these fusions or not.
On "Concept Project" this trio certainly had a crack at coloring outside the traditional lines. Or at least they tried to. The conceptual ideas and intentions behind this release are pretty decent.
The thing worth mentioning is the Mozart cover of "Turkish March". The whole thing got transformed into a "Rock March", with a bit of a Trans-Siberian Orchestra feel to it.
Very interesting album in all and it's worth your attention!
