Official re-release of the second full-length album by Swedish Alternative Stoner/Dark Rock/Metal band.
Sweden has always been one of the most prominent countries carrying out its own style of Heavy Metal. Before that album was selfreleased by the band in 2011. Band carries out a unique style of Stoner/Doom Rock/Metal that will not easily lose your attention. Exciting solo's and yet very catchy low-tuned riffs.
Mascot Parade's debut, "Deathmatch", symbolized the band's knowledge of Stoner Rock and Metal. Released on smaller-scale labels (Alabama Records / Daredevil Records) the quality wasn't optimal at the time, but that had nothing to do with the band's skill, for they had set the tone for more to come.
"Cause & Effect", Mascot Parade's second album, released on Noisehead Records, reminds of a mix between Mastodon and Kyuss. Heavy music intermixed with breath-taking solo's that alternate with the catchy hammering of the heavy riffs. Recommended for the classic Heavy Metal fan and of course for the Stoners among us, but eventually a great album for any Rocker out there! Recommended!!

Mass Hypnosia is a trio from the eastern fringes of Metro Manila's derelict urban landscape. 
Untouched by the blinding ineptitude that plagues the local Philippine band scene they guard their underground ideology with a fence of barbwired independence. Second re-release of the second full-length album by the cult French Death/Thrash Metal band.
This is the first remastered re-release. Even harder, even furiously, even more deadly!
Massacra substantiated the world-beating Death/Thrash credentials that were hinted at by 1990's "Final Holocaust" debut with their aptly named second album, 1991's "Enjoy The Violence", which summarily grabbed that nasty sophomore slump fellow by the throat and beat him to bloody a pulp! Even though it barely deviated from its predecessor's template, Thrashy Death Metal laden with apocalyptic themes, the album boasted a slightly cleaner production at the expense of only mere ounces of the band's precious sonic ferocity, all the while bolstering its makers' reputations as incredible musicians with the remarkable precision necessary to pull off their frantically challenging songs. Just listen as vocalist/bassist Pascal Jürgensen somehow manages to juggle both the band's reliable bottom end and the inhuman growls hovering over it all; as guitarists Fred Duval and Jean-Marc Tristani fine-tune their positively telepathic rhythmic interplay while maturing immensely as stylists from solo to solo; and as drummer Chris Palengat simply steamrolls the band forward indefatigably at whatever pace is necessary, and it's evident why Massacra were reaching the peak of their powers on this outing! So much so, that picking out highlights is almost a pointless exercise, but for shits and giggles, let's go with he ubiquitous title cut, the gloriously profane "Ultimate Anti-Christ," and the more deliberate yet even more foreboding "Near Death Experience." And with minor but significant departures like the clean-picked intro to "Revealing Cruelty" and the surprisingly Doom-paced "Full of Hatred", Massacra were hinting at the broader creative horizons that already beckoned to them, slowly but surely. For now, however, the French quartet could content themselves (if content were ever a word to be associated with such a band and style of music) with the knowledge that "Enjoy The Viole nce" ranked with the absolute best Thrash-infused Death Metal ever recorded!
Anyone like rather original sounding old Death Metal in vein of Asphyx, Death, Possessed, Nihilist should really get this one!!

Massacra started off with a few demos before they finally released "Final Holocaust" in 1990. As the bigger Thrash bands of the '80s began to go for a much less Thrash sound, Massacra did the exact opposite. They wrote some of the most intense and vicious Thrash to date. With insanely fast riffs, brutal drumming and crushing vocals, Massacra was ready to create a huge name for themselves in the Metal Underground.
This is what Death/Thrash should sound like. The classical backbone of the songs is just unbelievably kickass with the fast paced Thrash. The vocals are very aggressive and suit the music perfectly. The lyrics really remind of Sepultura's "Beneath the Remains" era style lyrics and the guitar playing is just as good.
The whole album is dark and it heavy the whole way through, and also essential to any fan of Death or Thrash Metal! There are no complaints that can be made about this masterpiece!! Massacra blends the best of Death Metal and Thrash on "Final Holocaust" flawlessly, and it shows!!!

The band started as a garage band from 1982 to 1984 and moved into Thrash Metal in 1985. Massakre is regarded as one of the first Speed/Thrash Metal bands in Chile. They have released four studio albums, and various demos and compilations. They are also known for using corpse paint in a Thrash Metal band, later imitated by others.
"Crematorium" is a return to the classic sound, comprising 10 tracks of pure Thrash Metal with some classic Death Metal influences.

Paul Speckmann played a key role in the Death Metal formative years, with bands like Terrorizer and Entombed acknowledging him and Master as a major influence. And both Master’s first effort and the one and only Deathstrike album could be considered classics even today, thanks to their intensity and to a simple but effective songwriting style.
Master have never played Death Metal in the pure sense of the term, rather a form of down tuned heavy Thrash, and this style is to be found again here. “Let’s Start A War” has turned out to be a solid and good-class disc containing guitar-heavy Death Metal that has a little more to offer besides aggressiveness. If you can’t imagine what that is, Master can best be described as a mixture between Crowbar and Bold Thrower. “Dictators” rekindle with the glorious Deathstrike days, while “Cast One Vote”, “American Freedom” and especially “Disturbed” clearly sound like classic Master tracks. Re-release of the seventh full-length album by legendary russian Thrash Metal band.
Moscow's Master has been a rather curious band over their long and distinguished career. They persevered since their 1987 self-titled debut album and is still making music alone is quite an accomplishment.
While the record it follows, 2001's "Labyrinth" has been somewhat lackluster even at best, not helped at the least by new vocalist Lexx's rather unique style not necessarily suited to some of the tracks thereon, expectations were set rather high for this one, as initial reports indicated a more straightforward, focused, heavier album than its predecessor. "33 Lives" is a marked improvement upon its predecessor, and while it is not quite the Thrash Metal, Master has been known for in days past, it is a mature album from veterans of the genre, both mindful of their roots and not afraid to embrace the values of modern production and occasional (but only so) modern influence.
While still not quite up there with their first two albums, this is easily their best album in last ten years!!

The Motörhead of Death Metal delivers a vicious Old School Death Metal attack with 2016’s "An Epiphany Of Hate". Master gave us another viscous Death Metal offering in 2016. They have mastered what it means to produce high octane, ear drum bursting, unrelenting Death Metal. 
With a discography one can’t count on two hands, they have rarely skipped a beat in producing the fast-paced brutality we all so love and enjoy, and "Epiphany Of Hate" is no exception. Between the pounding drums, merciless riffing, and, of course, Speckmann’s wonderfully hideous vocals, "Epiphany Of Hate" does nothing short of furiously sodomizing your mind.
The ten tracks on the album almost blur together in the speed that they are thrown at the listener, and after a near 45-minute state of pure blasphemous bliss. Speckmann knows his audience well, and no Master fan is expecting progression or senseless technicality. "Epiphany Of Hate" delivers the reliable Master Death/Thrash sound that we all expected, and this is exactly why Master remains such a loved band to this day.

The third re-release of the third full-length studio album by legendary American Death/Thrash Metal band.
After the great “On The Seventh Day God Created… Master”, Master returned with a new effort, basically a bit more in Thrash Metal style. It is hard to find a band that started as a Death/Thrash one in a period of Thrash Metal and becomes Thrash in a period of Death Metal. And Master did it with this album. Even less Death Metal as on “On the Seventh Day God Created… Master”, the album still great. The first thing you will notice is the production: a bit clearer and Thrashier. The guitars are not so tuned down anymore, and the vocals are less growling.
The opener “Constant Reminders” is still in Old-school style Death/Thrash Metal; a song that could easily have fitted well in Master’s previous works, with the fast bass drum and up-tempo. Most songs that follow are Thrashier and even have a bit of Punkier approach, going straight ahead. A cool different song is the nice Thin Lizzy cover of “Jailbreak”, where Master goes Hardrock. The superfast “Silver Spoon” is a good piece of Brutal Death/Thrash and a perfect track to end this album.
“Collection Of Souls” is an effort that is surely more Thrash Metal than Death Metal, but with lots of enjoyable moments!

The second re-release of the eighth full-length studio album by legendary American/Czech Death/Thrash/Speed Metal band.
The two new tracks on the recently released “Masterpieces” compilation already showed that Paul Speckmann wants to make it clear, after a 25-year career, where the true Old-school Death Metal hammer hangs. And that works excellently. "Four More Years Of Terror" in the title probably alludes to the second term of office of the Bush administration and contains superficially blunt (the number of breaks can generally be counted on one hand), but dead-on-the-point hammering Death-Thrash attacks with the usual Motörhead edge. The tempo is with wonderful penetrance, almost continuously in the classic eighties turnip Thrash beat, there is plenty of double bass, and Paul moos around wonderfully antisocially.
Paul Speckmann, who lives in exile in the Czech Republic, and his colleagues hurl some of the coolest simple riffs out of their stuffy sleeves in years!

The second re-release of the debut full-length studio album by legendary American Death/Thrash Metal band.
Even though this was the first official full-length recorded by Paul Speckmann, backed up by the soon-to-be cult line-up of former Death Strike comrade Chris Mittleburn on guitar and Bill Schmidt on drums, Master were already a revered name in the underground.
Master's first album was originally recorded in 1985 for Combat Recordings, but eventually shelved. In 1990, the album was first re-recorded in Chicago (later released by Hammerheart Records) but Nuclear Blast didn't approve this recording and had the band record the album again at Morrisound Studios. As it turned out, the third recording (which was eventually released as "Speckmann Project") was also not approved by Nuclear Blast and the Chicago recording was remixed instead by Scott Burns.
Packed with songs still legendary to this day (“Pay To Die”, “Funeral Bitch” or the instrumental “Terrorizer”) and a storming rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Children Of The Grave”, Master's self-titled album is still one of Death Metal "desert island" albums. "Mangled Dehumanization", "Pay To Die", "Re-entry And Destruction" and "The Truth" are songs originally written by Death Strike (pre-Master).

One of the problems with looking back on a musical genre from a perspective years or decades removed from the core of the movement itself is that subsequent developments tend to obscure both a genre's origins and threads within a tradition that died out without offspring. As a result, interesting and deserving albums often get lost in the shuffle as reviewers reflect on those albums most “influential” upon later achievements. Death Metal pioneers Master are among those who have been shortchanged as a result of that phenomenon, and their 1990 masterpiece "On The Seventh Day, God Created… Master" remains a fascinating exploration both of the genre’s roots and of spaces it might have occupied had different paths been taken.
There are a couple of things that leap out immediately to even the casual listener. The first is the seeming primitivism of the music, with songs consisting of relatively brief, bludgeoning pieces driven by relentless rhythms, cyclic riffs and simple melodic hooks. The second is the realization that someone is playing some seriously insane, brilliantly constructed leads. In this case, that someone is Paul Masvidal, far exceeding anything he ever achieved with Cynic.
Beneath the surface simplicity, lies a creative spirit that at once recalls the primal birth of Death Metal (which Master was both present for and very much a driving force behind) and points the way to what the genre might have become. Very apparent are the genre’s Hardcore roots, Master here eschewing the Slayer-derived technical architecture that came to dominate most “modern” Death Metal in favour of structures that would not have been out of place on Discharge’s landmark "Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing" release (there are even a few appearances of the infamous D-beat). Within the unrelenting storm of brutal repetition, the music’s core meaning is encoded, a sheer primal rage dripping from thunderous cycles of power chords and the open threatened roar (again the Hardcore influence) of vocalist and chief songwriter Paul Speckman. To this, Master adds moments of ponderous reflection where songs collapse into a sort of high decibel dirge, an innate sense of how to tease melody from the infernal depths of dissonance, and the aforementioned Masvidal solos (and it cannot be overemphasized just how much these leads rip). What emerges is something that belies its own apparent crudity, becoming not so much a statement of blind anger or stymied alienation, but a masterful declaration of violent intent.
This album just rules! If you thought Master's self-titled release was the most brutal thing ever, then you need to check this one out too. While the previous album was a fun, evil Thrashing monster, this one is a monstrous Metal avenger descending from the holes in the beyond to erase all mankind save for it's head-banging brethren! The riffs are now ten times more brutal, the vocals now ten times as deep, as well as more guttural, while the drums perform more complicated rhythms interspersed with furious blasts of rapid-fire double bass. Master creates a wall of heavy guitar's and powerful vocals. 
John Tardy of Obituary makes a guest appearance with a few backing growls on "Latitudinarian".
Heavy Death/Thrash, sounding a bit like Sepultura tone wise, but with a production that is too compressed/dense sounding. "On The Seventh Day, God Created… Master" is Master's masterpiece, well worth searching out for fan's of 80s/90s style Death Metal!

This clearly is not the kind of album you can listen to while reading a nice book and drinking some warm tea. Between the pounding drums, merciless riffing, and, of course, Speckmann’s wonderfully hideous vocals, “Saints Dispelled” does nothing short of furiously, punishing your mind. Start to finish, the album consistently splits your spine and breaks your neck with the mightiness of Master's perfect idea of what Old-school Death Metal means!
